I do not own Harry Potter or the Vampire Diaries
Jeremy leant against a tree as Anna stood in front of him.
"This place is wild." Anna said looking around.
"You kinda like dead people, huh?" Jeremy asked curiously.
"I'm strange, remember? You okay?" Anna said again noticing something bothering him.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah. This place makes me think about someone." Jeremy said sadly.
"A dead someone?" Anna asked bluntly.
"No, no, just...someone I used to know. So, uh, hey, we made it all of what, 37 minutes, in that party?" Jeremy asks chuckling in amusement.
Anna smiles and laughs at his dorky attitude as she said, "Not your scene?"
Jeremy pushes himself into a standing position as he said truthfully, "I'm not really sure what my scene is anymore. So what do you say? You, uh, you wanna be part of my non-scene?"
"I would happily be a part of your non-scene, except, uh, I'm leaving." Anna said feeling sad at the drop of his face.
"Wait, what?" Jeremy asked shocked having not expected that.
"Yeah. My mom and I are moving away." Anna said gently, she wasn't feeling too happy about it either, she actually like it here in Mystic Falls, and Jeremy was a huge part of that.
"Oh. Uh- that's-that's a bummer." Jeremy said feeling sad at the only person who actually understood him and brought a smile to his face leaving him.
"Yeah?" Anna asked actually hopeful that he liked her too, to have not wanted her to go.
"Well, yeah," Jeremy said as if it were obvious.
"So, guess this is goodbye," Anna said as she looked up into his eyes.
"I guess it is," Jeremy said before they lean into each other and kiss before Anna pulls away, her face transforming as Jeremy looked at her alarmed.
"Anna, your face!" Jeremy said shocked at what he had just seen.
Anna turns around as she said, "It's nothing."
"It didn't look like nothing," Jeremy responded before a hit to the back of his head had him falling to the ground unconscious as Ben stood behind him.
Anna sighs as she turns back around to say, "You didn't have to hit him that hard."
"Yes, I did." Ben countered.
"Grab him and lets go. I'm taking him to meet my mother." Anna instructed him.
Matt was leaning against a tree with a beer in his hand when it was suddenly swiped out of his hand by Tyler.
"Swoop!" Tyler said as he took a drink.
"Hey!" Matt said annoyed.
"Aah. Where's your date?" Tyler asked curiously.
"Who knows?" Matt asked not knowing what to feel at what had happened before.
"Aww, is the honeymoon over already?" Tyler taunted.
"Maybe." Matt actually admitted, it was great at first but now, it felt like she was beginning to get clingy and no relationship in his life had ever been like that.
"After all that grief you gave me about liking her. I figured it would have lasted longer than five minutes." Tyler said mockingly.
"Look, I just...I don't know if I can do the whole public couple thing. She...she seems like she might be a little clingy." Matt said, neither Vicky, his mother or Elena were ever like that, so he didn't know how to handle that.
"Well, good. I need my boy single anyway," Tyler saw as he pat Matt's arm before he looked ahead and says, "Ohh, incoming."
Caroline approaches them with a smile as she says, "Hey! There you are."
"Here I am." Matt said as Tyler looks between them and says, "Yeah, well, I'm not drunk enough. So I'm just gonna go get another beer," before walking off
"So..." Caroline trailed off awkwardly knowing the move she pulled was lame.
"So." Matt said raising an eyebrow at her.
"I have another speech." Caroline proclaimed with a nervous smile.
"Okay." Matt said ready to hear her out.
"The hand thing, with Elena, it was lame. Well, I was lame. And, hey, your feelings for Elena aside, Damon was there, and he was always such a jerk to me. And I wanted to show off that I was with a good guy. So, anyway, I was lame. So, forgiven?" Caroline asked hopefully.
"Yeah, of course. Yeah." Matt said readily with a smile on his face as Caroline smiled relieved.
Bonnie and Sheila were reciting a spell at the tomb, their eyes shut and hands interlocked
"What are they saying?" Damon asked curiously.
"Sounds Latin." Stefan said having heard it from the spells Lyra used a few times.
"I don't think it's Latin." Elena shook her head.
"It's definitely Latin," Lyra spoke up.
"How would you know?" Elena asked her raising a skeptical eyebrow.
"Latine loquor. I speak Latin, that's why." Lyra answered the girl before turning to Stefan's brother as she said, "They're saying Hail the breathless Nas from Malon, the land of the Vantis where you burn, and the vessels where I will be the signs."
"What the hell does that mean?" Damon asked completely confused.
"No idea. The spells I'm accustomed to are a lot smaller and the last ritual I saw was in English not latin so I don't understand the longer spells." Lyra explained as she remembered what had happened in her fourth year with one of her best friends, Cedric. Stefan knew exactly what she was talking about and put his arm around her shoulders in comfort, she looked up at him thankfully as she rested her head on his chest finding comfort in her best friend.
Elena glared at them, she knew they said that they were best friends but they weren't acting like it, did she have no respect, to put her head on Stefan's chest when she was right here and then Stefan, putting his arm around her, he shouldn't touch other girls when he was in a relationship, and right in front of her no less she thought as she scowled at them subtly.
Stefan then began to explain to her what they were doing here until Lyra understood, she was never fond of Katherine from the stories Stefan had told her about but she was his brother's lover and she knew personally what it was like to be separated from someone she loved, and now that he has a chance after so long to get her back, who was she to say anything, she knew that if there was a way to get Theo back she would do it in a heartbeat.
"Quick question. What is this war you keep mentioning?" Damon asked curiously.
Lysandra flinched at the question, Stefan noticed and glared at his brother as he said, "Drop it. It's none of your business." Damon raised his hands in surrender before dropping them a moment later. He had never seen his brother that protective of anyone, not even Elena. He looked at the girl curiously, she looked somewhere far off, and it was then in the light of the torches, he actually looked at her properly, all the dirt he had seen before was gone, and she truly looked beautiful, her soft innocent features were beyond attractive. Her big green beautiful eyes framed with thick long lashes that curled beautifully at the end, a cute button nose, and those plump pink kissable lips, they looked so soft, like the rest of her skin, and then there was her thick brown hair that framed her face, except it wasn't only one color of brown, there were shades from light to dark and it only made her look that much more beautiful.
"Stop looking at her like that." Stefan snapped quietly so that Lyra didn't hear as he glared at his brother, he was about to get Katherine for God's sake, why the hell was he staring at Lyra like that?
"Like what?" Damon asked innocently as he reluctantly pulled his eyes away from the girl to raise an eyebrow at his brother.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. You're going to get Katherine back, remember, so stop looking at her like you're moments away from...you know." Stefan said protectively and Damon actually shut up at that, internally scolding himself. Stefan was right, though he'd be the last one to admit that, he was going to get Katherine back any second now, and here he was, ogling another girl, God what was wrong with him?
After a few more seconds of the witches reciting the spell, the torches flare up and Elena finding this the best moment moves to grab Stefan's arm before wrapping her arm around his as a subtle signal for the girl to know that Stefan was hers.
Lyra internally scoffed at the action, teenagers she thought to herself, oh well, she supposed they were in a relationship so she should keep some distance from Stefan to be polite. Then she thought, who gives a flying f£$% when she had just come back from a bloody war and needed her best friend the most so she refused to budge ignoring the scowl Elena sent her way. She couldn't care less, if she and Stefan knew that they cared for each in a platonic way then that's all that was necessary.
"What's happening?" Elena asked curiously after the girl refused to budge, just as she asked that though, the door to the tomb creaks open. Sheila and Bonnie stop chanting when they heard the noise and look up.
"It worked!" Bonnie said shocked.
"Of course it worked," Sheila said proudly.
Damon turns to Stefan and says, "We have some fires to build."
"You don't need to, I can set whatever you want on fire," Lysandra said.
"No, you need to rest, you're exhausted, you've just been through a war Lyra, we can do the fire ourselves, ok?" Stefan said before kissing her forehead as he says, "I'm gonna go get the gasoline, I'll be right back."
Lysandra nods with a smile before Stefan ascends the stairs out of the tomb. Damon then looks from Bonnie and Sheila to Elena as he asks, "You ready?"
"What?" Elena asked taken aback.
Damon looks to Sheila and Bonnie and asks, "You think I'm gonna go in there by myself so you can seal me in?"
Damon grabs Elena as Sheila says, "Don't take her in. I'll bring the walls down."
"You'll bring the walls down if I don't. You think I trust you?" Damon asked suspiciously.
"As much as I trust you," Sheila says her voice cold.
"Enough. Both of you. Look, he needs leverage. He needs to know that you're not going to shut the door when he gets inside. I get it. I'll go." Elena said to placate the others.
"No. Stefan cares for you and therefore I can't let you get hurt. Between the two of us, I'm the only one who can protect myself so I'll go," Lysandra said and Damon nods at her with a smirk.
"Only because Stefan cares, not because I'm a human being?" Elena asked annoyed with the girl.
"Don't pick a fight when I'm trying to save your life," Lysandra said with a roll of her eyes as she conjured up a ball of light in her hands before letting it float above her to provide her with some light. The others looked on in awe at the casual and effortless way she did it, she then created a ball of light for Damon as well before he could pick up a torch and it went and flew above him, "Here, it'll follow you." Damon nodded at her in thanks as he looked up at the light before they both entered the tomb.
Stefan runs over to the gasoline and starts to gather the cans up. Suddenly, someone speaks to him.
"Dark down there?" Stefan straightens up as he looked at Ben, Jeremy unconscious at his feet.
"Thought I told you to leave." Stefan said remembering how he had done so, Ben seemed to still at the memory as well but it seemed he gathered enough courage to say, "I considered it. Then I thought, screw you."
"Hey, hero." Stefan turns around and sees Anna as she said, "I'm going down there to get my mother."
"I can't let you do that," Stefan said shaking his head at her.
"Well, Ben's about to make a main course out of Elena's little brother. So, you can stop me or him. Your choice." Anna said before she vamp-sped into the tomb.
Damon and Lysandra were down in the tomb, searching for Katherine. They hear whispers throughout the tomb and Lysandra asks curiously, "What is that?!"
"They can sense you. Now, where is she?" Damon asks walking away leaving Lysandra behind who just huffs at him too tired to bother catching up.
Anna descends the stairs into the tomb and Bonnie looks over at her as she said, "Hey, you're not going in there!"
"You think you can stop me?" Anna asked the girl, she wasn't strong enough to take on a vampire of her age.
"Bonnie..." Sheila said sternly and Bonnie looks over at her before stepping aside reluctantly. Anna grabs a flashlight from the ground and runs into the tomb as Bonnie turns and looks at her Grams angered.
"Why did you let her go in?" Bonnie asked confused.
"Because she isn't coming out, baby. None of them are." Sheila said to her granddaughter.
"What?" Elena asked in disbelief but they ignored her.
"What about the girl, Stefan was ready to turn it off thinking she was dead, if she gets stuck in there, who knows what he'll do?" Bonnie said worriedly.
"Don't worry, I doubt a spell like this, would be able to hold in a wand wielder as powerful as her," Sheila said reassuringly.
"A wand-wielder?" Bonnie asked confused.
"She's a wand-wielder, they are much stronger than us Wiccan witches so no spell of ours could ever hope to hold her, she's much too powerful, probably more than she knows herself. This girl stands out from even her own kind so do not make an enemy of her, it will do you no good child, you understand?" Sheila asked sternly.
"Yes Grams," Bonnie said immediately, she didn't want to make an enemy of the girl anyway, she was the first witch of her age and that made her realize that she didn't have to feel so alone anymore. She may have her Grams but it would be nice to talk to someone her own age, who would actually understand.
"Wait Damon's stuck in there?" Elena asked them.
"Yes Elena," Bonnie said as she looked into her horrified face.
Above the tomb, Stefan and Ben were in a tense conversation as Stefan asks him, "Do you really think that she cares about you? Hm? You're disposable."
"I don't care. She already gave me what I want." Ben replied.
"Are you going to say "eternal life"? You really that stupid?" Stefan asked with a raised eyebrow as Ben moves closer towards him.
"You know, I've heard about you. You don't feed. You're not strong enough to beat me." Ben said before he rushes at him, but Stefan thrusts him arm easily knocking Ben to the ground. Stefan picks up the hose connected to the gasoline can as Ben gets up and looks at Stefan.
"Is that all you got? Ben taunts.
"No. I got this." Stefan said igniting the torch aiming it at Ben who screams and flails around, before finally falling to the ground, dead.
Lyra walks around in the tomb following Damon's path slowly as she continues to hear the whispering around her. She looks around her at the mummified vampires and frowns in sympathy, to be locked in here for so long, the poor things. She suddenly felt a presence behind her and noticed a beautiful young girl standing right behind her.
Stefan walks back down into the tomb and looks around, relieved to know that Elena was fine before panicking when he noticed Lyra was nowhere to be seen and he immediately asked, "Where's Lyra?"
"Damon took her inside." Elena answered.
"What?!" Stefan asked in shock before he vamp sped inside the tomb too fast for Sheila to grab a hold of his arm.
"No!" Elena shouted out as he vanished inside the tomb. "Why can't he get out?"
"Opening the door didn't remove the seal, it just opened the door," Sheila explained to the child.
"What's the seal?" Elena asked confused.
"Some seals keep vampires from entering. This one keeps them from coming out." Sheila clarified.
"That girl can leave. Anna and Katherine can't. Damon can't. You were never planning on breaking the spell, were you?" Elena asked shocked.
"I will protect my own. The witch can get out. That's all that matters." Sheila said.
"No you can't leave him there," Elena said refusing to believe Stefan would be stuck there forever.
"Elena's right. We can't do that, Grams!" Bonnie said to her, Stefan had become a friend and he was also Elena's boyfriend.
"He made his choice!" Sheila said but even she hadn't wanted this.
"No, you said we shouldn't make an enemy of the girl, what do you think we'll be doing if Stefan doesn't get out," Bonnie said desperately as she picks up the grimoire. "Just show me what to do. I'll do it."
"We are not strong enough. Even if we were able to bring the seal down, there's no guarantee that we could get it back up again." Sheila said though inside she knew she didn't have a choice, she knew Bonnie was right, making an enemy of the girl was the worst thing one could do.
"You said it yourself, many things can fuel a witches' power. Help me or I'll do it alone." Bonnie said determined to get him out.
