I do not own Harry Potter or the Vampire Diaries

Lysandra looks after Damon confused before giving Teddy to Cissa and following after him, she finds him opening his car door and she quickly goes and stops him.

"Day are you sure you're alright?" Lysandra asked holding his arm.

Damon roughly shoved her arm off him and said, "What's it to you?" Damon didn't know what was going on with him, he had just had his heart broken by Katherine and now he was looking at someone else so soon. He still loved Katherine so what the hell was wrong with him?

Lysandra looked slightly hurt at his coldness before she said, "You've been acting a bit off lately. I was just worried."

Damon scoffed, "We've known each other barely a day. You only care about my brother, not me. The only thing you feel right now is understanding because Katherine broke my heart by not being in the tomb and your Theo, or whatever his name was, broke yours by dying so let me give you a piece of advice, it's best for the both of us if you don't care about me, you understand?"

Lysandra flinched when he said dying, that wasn't fair, she had only been trying to help him before and she thought she found someone who could understand her more than others, a kindred spirit or something, but she guessed he just wanted to be left alone. No one should be alone though, not through this. She's been there before, snapping at everyone for no reason after Sirius's death but her friends had stayed by her side no matter what. She knew she didn't know Damon that well other than the stories Stefan used to tell her but she couldn't just leave him when she's been in his position and understood what he was going through.

"That's not fair Day. I understand what you're going through. I've been there before but snapping at everyone is not going to change anything, it's not going to bring her back like it couldn't bring my Godfather back. I know you feel right now that the entire world is against you but lashing out at everyone won't change reality. Don't push people away because it's even harder going through it alone. My friends stayed by my side through it all, and you're my friend now, whether you like it or not, and I'm not going to leave you alone through this no matter what you say. And I don't care if it's been barely a day, people can become friends in an hour so it's not a big deal. And you might as well throw your piece of advice down the drain because I can't help it. I may have known Steffie for years but that doesn't mean I can't make new friends here and besides, you're not bad company and I've grown to like you so you're basically stuck with me. We even have nicknames for each other, you can't just throw that all away," Lysandra said pouting sadly with her puppy dog eyes.

Damon couldn't help the smile that came to his face at that and he shook his head groaning slightly. "Stop with the face Sunshine. You've no idea how hard it is to not agree to whatever you say when you look like that."

"Oh believe me I do. I used it all the time with Steffie. He could never say no to this face and can you really blame him?" Lysandra asked smirking at him as Damon sighed and rolled his eyes. "So, we still friends?"

"I suppose," Damon said with a long-suffering sigh despite the small smile on his face.

"Good, then you won't mind this..." Lysandra said smirking at him as he looked confused and wary. He did not expect the punch to his face as he stumbled back slightly. "That's for mentioning Theo." He groaned bending over when she punched his stomach. "And that's for being a jerk. Now come back inside. You're not going anywhere." She dragged his sorry ass back inside and deposited him back in the seat before sitting down triumphantly.

They spent the rest of their time there just chatting and having fun, Teddy providing them with some free entertainment as the others couldn't help but look over to the family a couple times, their joy was contagious.

"Don't touch my food Day, I swear you're just as bad as Dray," Lysandra whined slapping his hand away for the bajillionth time.

"And she's being pretty tame with you, she would have hexed someone very badly for touching her food if we were in Hogwarts," Draco said with a laugh.

"Hogwarts?" Damon asked confused.

"Yup. Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry," Lysandra said.

"That's the only name I got right but I swear that should have been wrong. I mean seriously Sunshine? Who on earth came up with that name?" Damon asked, who would put Hog and warts together to make a name for something as special as a magical school?

"Rowena Ravenclaw. You know like you have founders of this town, we have founders of Hogwarts and she was one of them. It is said that she had a dream where a warty hog led her to the location where the school is now set and that's what inspired her to name it Hogwarts," Lysandra explained.

"You and your history," Draco said shaking his head at her.

"Shut it Dray," Lysandra said shoving him slightly. He shoved her back and then that's when the fight began that started as shoving before they began to throw each other's food at each other and then it was an all-out food fight and Damon and Narcissa quickly pulled the two away from each other as the other people in the restaurant controlled their amusement.

"I'm going to kill you," Lysandra said trying to fight Damon's arms around her waist.

"I'd like to see you try," Draco said as he tried to side-step his mother but all it took was a look from her and he sighed and relented crossing his arms over his chest as he stayed put.

They were eventually kicked out of the place for the mess they made and as soon as they stepped outside, Draco and Lysandra looked at each other before busting out laughing literally hanging on to each other as Damon and Narcissa exchanged glances as if to ask, "Are they alright in the head?"

"Way to make a good first expression to the town Ly," Draco said shaking his head at her still laughing.

"That was all your fault. I shoved you just slightly, you're the one who started the rest of it," Lysandra said breathing heavily trying to calm down for fear of the wound opening. "All that good food wasted because of you."

"There there. Everything will get better. I'm sure the food forgives you," Draco said patting her head mockingly.

Lysandra shoved his hand off before she looked at the two in front of her who were looking at the two of them with raised eyebrows.

"I think you had a bit too much to drink before Sunshine," Damon said to her and she thought for a second and nodded as she released that whilst she had been dancing with Damon, she had lost count of the number of drinks she drank.

"Yeah, you're probably right," Lysandra said nodding her head as she pulled a few chips out of her hair and Draco's. "What's your excuse?" Lysanara asked Draco.

"I made a friend like you," Draco said ignoring her offended face. "We should get back," He said and they all agreed.

"No, you are not getting in my car," Damon said as they still had food on them in random places.

"Relax we weren't going to. We will be apparating," Draco said and Lysandra really couldn't be bothered to explain why that would be a bad idea for her so she just remained quiet.

"You want to have a first experience with apparition?" Lysandra asked Damon with a raised eyebrow.

"With what?" Damon asked once again confused.

"Apparition, it's basically teleportation. Stefan's done it before, many times," Lysandra explained.

"Sure, but what about my car?" Damon asked.

"Get it later. Not many of your type of vamps get to experience this. Come on," Lysandra said and he followed them into a deserted alleyway. Damon was then told how it works, as in everyone should be touching so held Lysandra's and put his other on the blonde's shoulder who was holding his mother's, who had to hold Teddy and Lysandra. All of a sudden he felt like he was being sucked through a very narrow tube and then his feet landed on the carpet in the middle of his living room.

"That is so not fair. This is your first time and you landed perfectly. I always land on my ass," Lysandra said pouting as Damon smirked at her form on the floor before helping her up. "How was it?" Lysandra asked as she let go of his hand.

"Not bad. Very handy," Damon said to her looking at his hand a little confused when he felt a certain loss when hers left his. He was becoming mad, yup, that was it. Katherine not being in the tomb must have driven him loopy.

"You should be glad you can't get sick as a vampire because if you were human, you would be feeling really horrible right now," Lysandra said to him as Draco used his magic to clean the both of them of the food. "Thanks Dray. Anyway, Day, uh, Dray and Cissa, will only be staying for a little while so is it ok if they can stay here?"

"Actually darling I think I should go back home today. I have a few things to do at Gringotts," Narcissa said apologetically. They weren't that urgent but she really couldn't stay in these clothes any longer.

"Oh are you sure?" Lysandra asked with her brows furrowed slightly.

"Yeah I'm sure Lysandra," Narcissa said smiling at her.

"Mother I don't want you to be in that house alone," Draco said concerned.

"I won't be. I'll take Teddy with me for now, then when you come home, you can take Teddy to Lysandra. Then whilst you're here you both can just have fun instead of taking care of him. You need that, both of you," Narcissa said to them.

"Ok mother but I'm only a floo call away so call if you need anything," Draco said and they both hugged as Narcissa kissed Draco's forehead before hugging Lysandra and doing the same which she was surprised at. She's only felt that from Andy and that nearly had tears pooling in her eyes but she controlled it as she said bye to Cissa as she flooed away.

"I don't think I'm going to get used to that," Damon said as the green flames vanished along with the woman.

"Ly are you alright?" Draco said seeing her looking lost somewhere else before she seemed to have snapped out of it at his question.

"Fine. I'm fine," Lysandra said swallowing slightly. Draco immediately saw through the lie and went towards her concerned. She looked up into his eyes and he saw the pain in her eyes and sighed pulling her into a hug, she breathed in shakily for a few seconds trying to stop the pain but it flooded over in the form of her tears as she let it all out. "Why does everyone I care about have to die Dray? Why did she have to leave me too? It's not fair."

"Hey it's going to be ok. I'm here for you," Draco said stroking her hair not knowing what to say.

"It's not ok Dray. None of this is okay. Andy's dead. She's dead. She left me. She left me," Lysandra sobbed her legs not being able to hold her up anymore and Draco quickly held her up as Damon took a step towards them. Draco looked at him for a moment and nodded to her, Damon understood and pulled her from his arms holding her as Draco went to the kitchen and filled a glass of water for her.

Damon held her stroking her hair as she sobbed into his chest, he got the gist of what happened, she had mentioned someone's name which he had forgotten and apparently she was dead. He assumed that that must have been why she was called back to inform her of that. It was clear this woman meant a lot to her and after already losing the love of her life, this was the last thing she needed.

"It hurts Day. I want it to stop. I can't lose anyone else," Lysandra said hugging him tightly, his bigger physique engulfing her smaller one making her feel safer than she had in a long time.

"I know Sunshine. I know," Damon said before he swiftly picked her up knowing her legs were barely holding her up and sat her on his lap on the couch her legs stretched out to his side as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders burying her head in his neck. He just sat there like that one hand rubbing her back and the other resting on her leg as her cries were reduced to soft sniffles.

Draco came inside with the glass of water only to stop short at the sight before shrugging as he came inside and held it in front of her, "Here Ly." He would have a talk with the guy later about his intentions with Lysandra, he could see there was something going on with the way he had looked at her when Lysandra was taking the baby from him but now was not the time.

Lysandra pulled away from Damon slightly before wiping her tears as she took the cup with shaky hands. Draco lifted her legs and sat down on the couch putting them in his lap as she drank the cup before he took it from her. "It'll get better Ly."

"Not this time Dray. Not this time," Lysandra said getting off of them before going upstairs.

"What happened?" Damon demanded as soon as she left the room and he heard her go upstairs.

"Her Godfather..." Draco began about to explain how he had made the two of them meet with Andy, who had just died, which actually hurt him too, before he was cut off.

"Yeah she mentioned that she lost him too," Damon said remembering the conversation before.

"She's lost so much. Personally I don't know how she even manages to smile when others won't even be able to get up in the morning," Draco said sighing tiredly.

"Just tell me what happened. Explain everything," Damon said to him.

"I'll explain the gist of what everyone knows but the rest is up for her to tell you. I'm pretty sure even I don't know everything," Draco said before proceeding to explain about the wizarding world, Voldemort, what Lysandra means to their world, what happened at Godric's hollow that day, the Horcruxes and how that all led to the battle that took place just yesterday.

"My brother and her have mentioned that battle like a dozen times already and I was so confused. So you're basically saying this Voldy guy, which is a weird-ass name by the way, killed her birth parents and tried to kill her, and because of some miracle, she survived and was made into a horcrux which is a container for this creepy dude's soul. Then he proceeds to be even more creepy and make more of these soul boxes and ended up becoming a snake-like version of his previously handsome self, which you were told he was by Lysandra. Then he made her life hell for the years she spent in that school with that weird name, what was it again, Bogwarts, no wait, it was Hogwarts. Ok then the year you said you had spent off hunting vampires, you all were actually in the middle of a war and you both were on different sides but not by choice on your part. She was on the run for months with two of her friends and then finally showed up at the school where the battle took place. She gave up her life and somehow because of some witchy-woo magical miracle she came back to life when the curse killed the Horcrux instead of her. She proceeded to kick ass and in a final standoff between her and the Voldy guy, she managed to win after that friend of hers killed the last soul box. And throughout her entire life, she has lost her parents, her Godfather, two of her uncles, three close friends, the Ginger one, the metam...yeah I still can't get that, and the one she lost when she was only 14, the love of her life and now her aunt who was like a mother figure to her," Damon summed up.

"Basically," Draco sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose as a headache began to form.

"Wow. Your lives could be a literal movie," was all Damon could say at the overload of information. "And I get what you mean, how she even manages to smile is beyond me. I just had my heart broken after loving someone for 145 years and all I want to do is drain people dry and yet she's been through hell facing heartbreak no teenager should go through and yet, by some miracle, she's still so kind. How is that possible?"

"Believe me, I have no idea," Draco said shaking his head before he looked at him. "Look, I saw the way you looked at her before. She has a lot of baggage and she sure as hell doesn't need you breaking her heart because you couldn't handle it. You're going through shit yourself so I doubt there'll be anything between you soon but eventually you're going to move on and I'd rather it not be with her until you are completely sure she's the one. One broken heart is enough for her." Draco said before he left to go upstairs and check on Lysandra leaving Damon to his thoughts filled with, you guessed it, denial.

Draco found her in a room just lying on her back just staring blankly at the ceiling with silent tears running down her face. He sighed before coming to the other side of the bed and lying next to her. She looked up at him before she immediately rolled onto his chest as he stroked her hair until she fell asleep.

Damon came to her door wanting to check on her for some reason but he didn't expect to see the two of them like that. He clenched his jaw feeling a slight tightening in his chest before he shook his head at himself and left to go to his room.

It was a little while later that Lysandra got up having already slept last night, she didn't need much, she was just tired by the onslaught of emotion that had hit her. She looked at the empty bed confused, she could have sworn she had slept with Draco so she assumed he must already be up as she quickly had s shower and changed into the clothes Tinky had got her before they had flooed here. She wore a shirt that went to her mid thigh and some comfortable shorts before making her way downstairs.

"Uh, no, absolutely not," Draco said shaking his head as soon as he saw her.

"What?" Lysandra asked confused.

"No way in hell are you wearing that with two other men living in this house," Draco said shaking his head immediately.

"Well I've already worn something like this before, twice actually, so there's no point now, and besides, I can wear what I want, when I want, wherever I want. You have absolutely no say," Lysandra said with a teasing smile on her face as he groaned in annoyance. She was his sister and he didn't want anyone looking at her like that.

[Trudie's Residence]

The doorbell rings and Trudie answers the door only to see the man from the middle of the road on her front porch, she's confused at first before he thanked her for the text that she had sent whilst Elena had been here. She told him that she didn't tell her anything though she feared that she knew something. The man said it won't be a problem, she won't get any closer to the truth. What she didn't expect next when she asked if she was done was for the man to barge into her house.

"I don't understand. I did what you told me. I did my part!" Trudie said panicking in her fear

"And now I have to do mine," The man said before he grabs her by her hair as she tries to run upstairs and threw her down. She tumbles to the bottom floor and a pool of blood forms around her head. The man descends the stairs and steps over Trudie's dead body and left the house.

[Town Square]

Harper walks into the middle of the square and looks around, overwhelmed by the changes over the past century and a half. He looks over at a bench where a woman sits. The woman and him exchange long looks, as if they know each other. She nods her head slightly and Harper walks away.

[Salvatore Boarding House]

Draco had flooed back home just to check on his mother an hour later promising to return so Lysandra was bored to death in her room so she went roaming around the house curiously, before entering Stefan's room curious if he was there only to see it empty so she sighed as she went in anyway and lounged on the bed playing with her magic in the air. She made soft wisps of her magic float in the air creating a ball of light before she changed it to fire, then water before settling on air.

That's the sight Elena walked into as she called out for Stefan and she glared at the girl. What on earth was she doing in Stefan's room?

"Better. Me," Damon said walking out the bathroom without a shirt on as Lysandra closed her fist vanishing the tendrils of magic.

"Well don't you look..." Lysandra was about to comment as she got up from the bed.

"Dashing? Gorgeous? Irresistible?" Damon asked walking across the room and closing the space between him and her. Lysandra holds up a ball of fire when he gets closer and his smirk disappears as he backs off.

"No I was gonna say you look like you've been through a bad breakup and are in desperate need of a sleepover, maybe with some depressing chick flicks and a tub of ice cream," Lysandra said slightly mockingly not in the best of moods right now. She just spent the last hour or so sulking and thinking and when she thinks, her mind tends to wander taking her places she'd rather not revisit though at least she had her magic to distract her as she tested the boundaries of it needing to know how powerful she was now after her dying, coming back to life, mistress of death bullshit.

Damon rolls his eyes as he said, "I am not a girl."

"Oh please just because you're not a girl doesn't mean that you don't have like a comfort movie or book or something, and everyone likes ice cream," Lysandra said contradicting his statement.

"Do you know that I am one of Mystic Falls' most eligible bachelors?" Damon asked ignoring her statement.

"Huh," Elena said.

"Yep," Damon said.

"How are you doing?" Elena asked concerned as Lysandra used her magic to make her float in the air, she lay down in the air as she put one hand behind her head and used her other to play with her magic again.

"Never better. Yep. Woah what the hell?" Damon said as he saw her lying in the air, she turned to him before moving and instead she sat cross-legged in the air.

"Perks of being a witch though not many can do this. I have to thank Death," Lysandra said mumbling the last part, she had tried to ignore what Death had told her, still in disbelief, but her magic told her otherwise so she really needed to talk to Death soon. She wondered if that was possible.

"I'm sorry you have to what?" Damon asked, he could have sworn she said, she needed to thank Death.

"Nothing," Lysandra said smiling at him innocently as she went back to lying down in the air as he looked at her weirdly before putting on his button-up shirt. She didn't need to know that he knew what had happened yet, he'd tell her later.

"What can I do for you? I'm a barrel of favors today. It's my newfound purpose—how can I help people?" Damon asked Elena.

"I'm just meeting Stefan. We're going to the fundraiser," Elena commented as she gave a side glare to Lysandra who caught it.

"Problem?" Lysandra raised an eyebrow at the girl who only rolled her eyes looking away from her. Damon then pretends that he is too drunk to button up his shirt, so he tries to get Lysandra to do it for him. He turns around, looking at Lysandra hoping she'll come over to him.

"Help a guy out, will you? Can't get this," Damon said to her.

"It's fine. I can do it," Elena said about to walk towards him only for Lysandra to say, "By all means, go ahead."

Elena walks over to Damon and grabs the front of his shirt and begins buttoning it up. Damon looked slightly disappointed as she did it, not understanding why he didn't want her hands on him, she looked like Katherine after all and it was better than nothing but apparently not.

"So I found out who my birth mother is," Elena began a conversation.

"Eccch. Who cares?" Damon said and Elena looked up at him hurt.

"She left you. She sucks," Damon placated and Elena smiled up at him before looking over his shoulder to smile a Stefan.

"Steffie!" Lysandra said floating over to him only to jump in his arms as he laughed holding her up for a moment before putting her down.

"Stefan. There you are," Elena said with gritted teeth as she glared at Lysandra before smiling as she turned to Stefan and walked over to him as he smiled at her. She expected a hug or something, maybe even a kiss but no, he just smiled at her.

"Uhh. I need a bigger jacket. Wow. You know, an occasional sorority girl might, um, you know, help fill you out a little bit," Damon said buttoning up the rest of his jacket showing he could have done it anyway and Lysandra smiles amused at Elena's annoyed look. He then takes it off and throws the jacket onto Stefan's bed and leaves the room with one last look at Lysandra.

"He's fine," Elena said to Stefan.

"If that's what you consider fine then I fear what you consider not fine," Lysandra said with a roll of her eyes.

"No one asked for your opinion," Elena couldn't help but snap.

"Elena! And Lyra, seriously?" Stefan said looking at the both of them.

"What! Don't look at me like that Steffie. I only spoke the truth. Damon is far from fine," Lysandra said with a shrug.

"Maybe this heartache will be good for him. It'll remind him that he has one, even if it doesn't beat," Elena said causing Lysandra to glare at her.

"Won't hold my breath," Stefan said and Elena laughs at that.

"Oy! Leave him be would you! If you've had your heart broken before then you'd understand how crippling it can be, and for a vampire bent on someone for more than a century only to get this in return, the pain is so much worse with their heightened emotions. No one should suffer from a broken heart, I wouldn't even wish it on my enemies," Lysandra said to the two.

"Like you've had your heart broken before," Elena scoffed.

One second Lysandra had stilled and the next she had Elena in a chokehold, "Don't speak of what you don't know, you understand?" She let her go when Stefan came forwards and laid a hand on her arm. She glared at the girl before leaving the room.

"Elena why would you say that?" Stefan snapped lightly at her. He knew how much Theo's death was affecting Lyra.

"Of course, take her side, like I care. Anyway, I came to tell you that I went to see Trudie Peterson," Elena said a bitter note to her voice.

Stefan's face becomes stony at that, what was she thinking? Who knows what could have happened. Elena apologised and Stefan let it go as he asked how it went. Elena explained that she knows about vampire stuff so it isn't a coincidence. Stefan agrees telling her that it is Alaric's wife as he takes out the picture of Isobel that Alaric gave to him and hands it to Elena. Elena looks at it and nods her head telling him that it was Isobel, before asking if Alaric had given it to him knowing what that meant. Stefan tells her that Alaric believed she was killed by one leaving Elena shocked. Stefan tells her not to ask Alaric anything about Isobel yet, Elena is confused as to why but agrees anyway.

[Mystic Grill]

Carol is on the stage, talking into a microphone, introducing the Fundraiser, "Tickets for the raffle are now on sale. All proceeds benefit the annual Founder's Day celebration."

Jenna walks up to Alaric, who has a drink in his hand and she said, "That's a good look for you."

"What? Embarrassed and uncomfortable?" Alaric said.

"Yep. That's- that's the one," Jenna said.

"Hey, look, um, I'm, uh, sorry about earlier. It was just kind of a-a shock," Alaric said apologetically.

"No, I'm sorry for dropping it on you, but I felt like you should know," Jenna said to him.

"No, I get it," Alaric said understandingly.

"At some point, maybe you and Elena could talk. I'm sure she'd like to hear about Isobel, what she was like," Jenna suggested.

"Yeah," Alaric said looking uncomfortable at the thought.

"Uh...Or not. No pressure," Jenna backtracked noticing his face.

"I don't know if that's a-a great idea," Alaric said clearing his throat. "At least not—not for a while," Jenna nods her head at him understandingly.

[Salvatore Boarding House]

Lysandra was helping Draco pick out a suit to wear from Stefan's closet before finally settling on one. Draco got changed in the bathroom as Lysandra went to go change her own clothes.

Stefan walks downstairs where Damon is putting on a bigger jacket as he asks, "Where'd your girlfriend go?"

"She's on her way to the Grill. I, uh, wanted to talk to you," Stefan said as he pulls out the picture of Isobel and hands it to Damon, who looks at it with his usual smugness.

"This is the woman, Isobel, from North Carolina. Remember her now?" Stefan asked.

"Who wants to know?" Damon asks.

"I do," Stefan said.

"Who else wants to know?" Damon asked.

"Did you kill her?" Stefan asks.

"Sorry. Don't know her," Damon said as he walks past Stefan before looking back at him and said, "Hey, are you coming? The Real Housewives of Mystic Falls await."

They walk to the living room only to see Lysandra and Draco chasing each other round the couch. "Dray you're going to make me miss this bachelor party if I twist my ankle in these heels."

"And the magic will fix it right up," Draco said before he finally caught her around the waist from behind as she laughed only to look up and see the brothers staring at them, Stefan with fondness on his face as he looked at her and Damon, well, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Draco put her down as she smiled at the two walking towards Stefan, she pulled up his tie a bit before ruffling his hero hair, quickly hiding behind Damon after doing so.

"Lyra!" Stefan said in exasperation as she laughed at him before taking pity on him a moment later. She stood in front of him and set his hair with her hands, using her magic a bit to help tame it as Damon watched them two, something tightening in his chest yet again before he reminded himself that they were only like siblings to each other.

"There, now it'll stay like that no matter what you do," Lysandra said as he thanked her with a slight roll of his eyes. "By the way, you clean up well bestie. Looking dashing."

"You're looking beautiful yourself Lyra," Stefan said kissing her forehead.

"For once my brother is right. You look beautiful," Damon said softly, his tone was caught by the other two and they looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Thanks Day. You're looking quite handsome yourself," Lysandra said as she kissed both of their cheeks before going to take Draco's arm.

"Ok we have to go before we're late," Draco said to them, Stefan walked ahead as Damon stood frozen slightly touching his cheek before shaking it off and following them, it was just a kiss on the cheek, but her lips were so soft, and again, it was just a kiss on the cheek, stop overreacting.

[Mystic Grill]

Caroline, Elena, and Matt are all milling around at the front of the Grill as Caroline said, "He's already been hit on, like, 35 times. He's total cougar bait."

"Impressive," Elena said.

"More like embarrassing," Matt said as Caroline laughs before she sees Kelly enter the Grill.

"Hi, Mrs. Donovan," Caroline said hoping that she'll come to like her. Kelly glances at Caroline with distaste before she looks at Elena.

"Elena, honey," Kelly said as she hugged her.

"Hi, Kelly," Elena greeted hugging her back.

"Long time, no see," Kelly said as they pulled away.

"How are you doing?" Elena asked her.

"Oh, same old. Oh. Matty tells me you broke his heart," Kelly said.

"Mom," Matt said embarrassed.

"Just kidding. Calm down. He found his rebound girl," Kelly said glancing over at Caroline who looks crestfallen before she said, "Oh. Here you go, sweetheart. However many that'll buy." Kelly extracts some money and hands it to Caroline, who takes it with a small smile. "I just hope I don't get Bachelor 3. I dated him in high school. Not impressive," Kelly said before whispering, "In any way." Matt shakes his head, embarrassed as Caroline hands Kelly her tickets and she takes them saying, "Very exciting," before she walks off into the grill.

Elena turns around and sees Alaric. They stare at each other for a moment before Alaric walks off and Elena turns back around with a dissatisfied look only to see Lysandra on a blonde boy's arm making her way inside with Damon. Damon walked away from them and Stefan was nowhere to be seen, he might have had to do something Elena thought shrugging before she walked off.

"Uh hi! You're new here aren't you? I saw you that day at the party when you kicked that guy to the ground, it was awesome by the way," Caroline said to her shocked at how beautiful she looked and the man next to her was handsome in his own right.

"Thank you," Lysandra said smiling at the beautiful girl as Draco raised an eyebrow at her. "Don't look at me like that Dray, the guy deserved it. He tried to touch me."

"He tried to what?" Draco asked enraged.

"It's fine. I dealt with it," Lysandra said laying a hand on his arm.

"Uh, I know I shouldn't pry and that it's none of my business but are you two, like a thing?" Caroline asked curiously.

"No, absolutely not," They both exclaimed at the same time with disgust on their faces as they both then said at the same time, "He's like a brother to me/She's like a sister to me."

"Oh, sorry," Caroline said sheepishly.

"No problem, uh, sorry what's your name?" Lysandra asked.

"Caroline," Caroline said.

"Well Caroline, I'm Lysandra," Lysandra said outstretching her hand for Caroline to shake.

"And I'm Draco," Draco said shaking her hand as well.

"So do you guys want to buy a ticket?" Caroline asked smiling at the two kind people.

"He's one of the bachelors," Lysandra said before Draco looked at her.

"But she'll take one," Draco said.

"I will?" Lysandra said raising an eyebrow at him.

"Yep and by some miracle, you'll get me so that I don't have to take anyone out for a date and we can just have fun as friends," Draco said to her hopefully and she rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, no because I might just end up with any of the others and no way in hell am I going on a date so yeah I'm afraid you're going to have to suffer," Lysandra said patting his shoulder mockingly. "Ok, bye Caroline," Lysandra turned to the girl as she laughed at Draco's disgruntled face.

"Bye, have fun," Caroline said kindly as they smiled at her and left to go inside the grill.

Damon and Carol are talking in another part of the Grill as he tells her, "I've got the big date planned. It's a romantic dinner, secluded spot somewhere woodsy."

"You're making me think I should buy a ticket," Carol said to him.

"Well, you are in charge. You could always rig it," Damon said with a sly smirk on his face just as Liz enters the Grill. Damon spots her so he excuses himself from Carol as he walks over to Liz. They retreat into a corner and Liz has a folder in her hand as she said, "I ran the check on the history teacher. You want this before or after your big debut?"

"How's it look?" Damon asked curiously and she hands him the folder as he begins looking through it.

"He checks out. Couple of speeding tickets. It's a rough story, though. Turns out his wife went missing a few years back in North Carolina," Liz said feeling sorry for the man.

"North Carolina? She have a name?" Damon said having a suspicion.

"Yeah. Isobel," Liz said as she flips back to a page containing Isobel's photo as Damon looks at it before he turns to Alaric now understanding what seemed off about the guy from the beginning, he knew he had killed his wife, well, or like turned, but she did have to die first so he did technically kill her.

Stefan enters the Grill as Carol introduces each of the bachelors on stage, "And what do you do, Bachelor Number 3?"

"Yeah, I'm a plumber," The man said.

"Well, isn't that wonderful? We could always use more plumbers. Moving on. Number 4, 'Alaric Saltzman.' Wow. That's quite a mouthful. What do you do, Alaric?" Carol asked putting the microphone in front of him.

"I'm a teacher at Mystic Falls High," Alaric said.

"Oh, beauty and brains, ladies. This one's a keeper. What do you teach?" Carol asked.

"History," Alaric responded.

"History. Oh, well, give us a fun fact about Mystic Falls, something crazy," Carol said and at that, Alaric looks over at Damon, who places his hand up to his ear, sarcastically anticipating a response.

"Uh, well..." Alaric said hesitating before Carol pulls the microphone away as she said, "He's probably saving the best stories for his date."

"Now, Bachelor number 5, Draco Malfoy. What do you do?" Carol asked.

"I just graduated from my boarding school so I don't exactly have a job yet but I am quite interested in photography. A friend of mine introduced me to it and it's become a favourite past time," Draco said as he smiled at Lysandra who gave him a thumbs up in from where she was sitting next to a gorgeous blond who was sitting next to Elena. It was the only seat she could find.

"Photography? How interesting. We understand that you're new here so I'm assuming your friend is too. What does she do?" Carol asked.

"We're both in the same boat, as in we graduated together from the same boarding school. And about what she does, well she can bake for one, she's makes dresses, she can cook, she can sing, play the guitar, I could go on but you get my point," Draco said and Lysandra was blushing in her seat as she slid down slightly embarrassed and Draco smirked at her.

Carol followed his gaze and said, "So is that the girl you're gushing about? She's beautiful and quite talented as well. What's her name?" She couldn't help but pry.

"Lysandra," Draco said.

"Well that's a beautiful name," Carol said with a smile before she thankfully moved down the line towards Damon, "And last, but not least, Damon Salvatore. We don't have much on you." Stefan stops in the middle of the room and looks at Elena and Lyra. Elena smiles at him and waves from a table she is sharing with Jenna as Lyra smiles at him. Stefan smiles back at the both of them and waves, then he looks back at the stage as Elena looks to Lysandra annoyed. Why did she have to sit here? She hated sharing Stefan's attention, it wasn't fair.

"Well, I'm tough to fit on a card," Damon said.

"Do you have any hobbies, like to travel?" Carol asked.

"Oh, yeah. L.A., New York. Couple of years ago, I was in North Carolina. Near the Duke campus, actually. I think—I think Alaric went to school there. Didn't you, Ric?" Damon turns to look at Alaric who does the same as Draco looks between the two knowing there was some sort of bad blood between them.

"Yeah, 'cause I-I know your wife did," Damon said and Lysandra noticed how Stefan suddenly becomes alert looking over at Elena. She looks at her confused only to see her face falter as Stefan begins to make his way over to her. Lysandra then looks at Damon wondering what the hell he was doing.

"I had a drink with her once. She was—she was a great girl. I ever tell you that? Cause she was - Delicious. Mmm! Mmm mmm mmm," Damon said and Lysandra understood that he had killed the poor guy's wife but why was that affecting Elena, there was obviously something she was missing. Elena's mouth hung open. Her eyes filled with tears as she stares at Damon. Jenna looks over at her concerned as she asked, "Are you okay?"

"I just need some air," Elena said as she gets up and walks past Stefan out the grill and Stefan followed her. Lysandra contemplated following them but figured it was none of her business so she left it. If it was important, Steffie would tell her anyway but he did look pretty serious she thought concerned as she looked back at the doors.

Outside, Elena paces around as Stefan exits the Grill and approaches her and she immediately turns to face him.

"Elena," Stefan said.

"He killed her? Damon was the vampire that killed her?" Elena asked in disbelief.

"I don't know what happened. Alaric said that they never found the body," Stefan said.

"Oh, my god. Stefan," Elena said.

"I know. I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you. But I just—I wanted to know more," Stefan said apologetically.

"I was feeling sorry for him, hoping that this whole Katherine thing would change him. I'm so stupid," Elena said.

"He doesn't know about the connection to you. I thought about confronting him, but he's already so on edge," Stefan said.

"Why are you protecting him?" Elena asked frustrated.

"Because you're not the only one hoping that he might actually change," Stefan said and Elena shakes her head as the two look at each other before Elena looks over Stefan's shoulder and back up at him, but does a double take when she recognizes the man from earlier down the street.

"That man," Elena said and Stefan turns around and looks at the man, who watches them. "I saw that man outside of Trudie's."

"Get back inside. Come on," Stefan gently pushes Elena back inside the Grill and follows her after giving one last suspicious look to the man just as Lysandra came up to him, she was getting concerned and she knew it wasn't her business but she just had to make sure everything was fine.

"Steffie is everything alright?" She asked looking at his tense face worriedly.

"Not entirely," Stefan sighed as they both walked back inside.

"Oh. Is there anything I can do?" Lysandra asked in concern.

"Not really," Stefan said and Lysandra sighed putting a hand on his tense shoulder immediately making him relax as he smiled slightly at her before they walked back inside..

Inside the Grill, Carol pulls out a raffle ticket from the bowl, "And bachelor number 3 goes to 37458.

"That's me," Kelly said walking towards Carol.

"Ah. Kelly Donovan. Lovely," Carol said as Kelly takes the ticket from her. "You and the plumber should have so much fun." Kelly then walks over to Caroline to claim her prize.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Donovan.," Caroline said as Lysandra walked inside with Stefan, who said goodbye to her before walking off. Draco looked at her concerned wondering what had happened and she caught his look before giving him a nod of reassurance to tell him everything was fine.

"Okay, just stop. Stop trying so hard. This thing you're doing, this nice thing, it's fake. Like you. Like your mom. And for some reason, Matt fell for it, but that doesn't mean that I will. I don't like you, okay? So tell plumber boy I'll be at the bar."

Lysandra scoffed when she heard her, angry at the hurt on Caroline's face, the girl had been nothing but sweet, "I've met you for like 2 seconds and I can already tell you're a bitch so you really have no place to talk. Now lay off Caroline, honestly she literally said nothing but congratulations to you so what the hell is your problem? If you have issues with her mother then take it up with her and leave Caroline out of it. And besides, if anything's fake here it's you with your face literally smothered in makeup so I suggest you shut your trap and take your bullshit presumptions elsewhere. I'm actually already feeling sorry for the guy who has to take you on a date." She wasn't normally judgemental, she wouldn't call someone fake just because of the makeup they put on their face, no, she would never judge someone by their appearance but the woman had just showed there was nothing nice behind that face so why should she care?

"You little bitch," Kelly spat at the girl as she grabbed her arm digging her sharpened nails into her skin but Lysandra didn't even wince.

"I really do suggest that you let go of me right now," Lysandra said calmly not even noticing how the grill had quietened as they watched the confrontation.

"Now listen here little girl. I don't care that you're new here. You will respect your elders," Kelly said angrily at the girl's face.

"Respect is earned, not given and you sure as hell don't deserve it. Now let go of me cause you really don't want to piss me off," Lysandra said.

"Stop with the measly little threats. You think you scare me?" Kelly asked pressing even tighter into her arm. Lysandra just raised an eyebrow at her as Kelly said, "What? Nothing to say?"

"I've got plenty to say, but most of it would probably go over your head. You see, to understand them, you would require something called a brain, which you clearly lack so don't mistake my silence for being intimidated by you, because that is far from the truth, It's just your level of stupidity that rendered me momentarily speechless. Now I'm saying this for the last time, get your hand off of me. Don't make me hurt you," Lysandra said now getting pissed off as Matt moved towards them concerned.

"Please, like you could..." Kelly began before her arm was twisted behind her back painfully and she was shoved to the floor but Matt quickly stepped up and caught her. Draco stepped down from the platform and was making his way over concerned as was Stefan.

"I'm sorry, you were saying?" Lysandra asked her with a sweet smile on her face as Matt led her away sending her a small apologetic glance as Kelly glared at her angrily. "What a lovely woman," Lysandra said sarcastically.

"Are you ok?" Caroline asked worriedly though her eyes were still wide with shock, no one had defended her before, literally no one. Even before when Kelly had called her Matt's rebound girl, none of them had said anything to contradict her, not even Matt, but the girl she had met only for about a minute had done so, she just couldn't believe it.

"Yeah I'm fine," Lysandra said reassuringly as she smiled at the girl.

"You sure?" Caroline asked feeling bad that she got hurt on her behalf.

"Completely. No need to worry your pretty little head about it," Lysandra said dismissively as Caroline blushed at her words.

"Lyra are you ok?/Ly are you okay?" Both Draco and Stefan asked at the same time as they came over before giving each other a weird glance.

"It's creepy how that was literally said exactly at the same time," Lysandra said.

"That does not look pretty," Draco said wincing at the bloodied nail marks on her arm and the bruises that were beginning to form.

"No shit Sherlock," Lysandra said rolling her eyes at him.

"What?" Draco asked confused.

"Muggle saying. Never mind," Lysandra said.

"Muggle?" Caroline asked confused looking between then two.

"You know, I think you should go and take care of that," Stefan said immediately and Lysandra nodded bidding them goodbye, she could set it in the bathroom but she'd rather go to the boarding house and rest anyway.

Lysandra wakes up the next morning only to find out that someone has been stalking Elena and had told her not to find Isobel, her birth mother, before killing himself, Damon had apparently killed and turned Elena's birth mother and then killed the teacher of the school who had come back to life with the help of a magic ring. Honestly Lysandra was starting to think Mystic Falls wasn't the best place to start over but oh well, at least life isn't boring.
