A/N: This is a request from Hollyelvira. For this one, Hank and Olivia have been together since right after her ordeal with William Lewis and her breakup with Cassidy. This takes place around Season 18 and the entire family, including Erin and Justin and his family are living in New York. Justin's time in the Army is over. Erin is with SVU, Hank is heading Organized Crimes and Jay is working in ESU. Amaro is still around as well and so is Dodds. I don't own any of the characters except my own.

Blast from the Past

Olivia was again on desk duty as she and Hank were expecting again and they were having twins. They already had Noah and 2-year old Natalie. The squad was out and Ed came in to her office. He knocked on the doorframe.

"Hey, Ed. Come on in."

"Thanks. How are you feelin'?"

"I'm tired. What's going on?"

"I heard a rumor today."

"Oh yeah? Now what? You're not even with IAB any longer."

"That's who I heard it from actually."

"So, what's the rumor?"

"Stabler is back with the NYPD."

"Excuse me?"

"That's about what I said. Apparently he came out of retirement to work in Hank's unit."

"Whatever for?"

"Don't ask me."

"They have the same personality."

"I know and honestly, I get along with Hank much better than I ever got along with Stabler. I don't know when he is actually supposed to start but I figured you'd rather hear it from me than run into him and be surprised."

"It's been how many years?"

"Yeah, I know. If I was still with IAB, there is no way I would have allowed this to happen. Have you told Hank about him?"

Yeah. This could get interesting. I have a feeling I'm going to be put on bedrest more sooner than later but they can come at any time now."

"Is Dodds ok with that?"

"He's prepared to take over."

"I'm going to head back. I'll check in with you later."

"Thanks for warning me."

"Yeah, no problem."

Ed left and headed back to his Precinct, while Olivia was doing her paperwork. Elliot had come in and was watching her.

"I never thought I'd see the day when you would be left in charge."

"Very funny, Stabler."

"I'm not tryin' to be. I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, I guess."

"You're a Lieutenant now?"

"Yeah."

"How've you been?"

Olivia stood up.

"Apparently, you've been busy."

"Numbers 5 and 6."

"Oh, boy!"

"They're boys too. My husband has a daughter from a one night stand and he just recently found out that she was his. He has a son from his first marriage, we adopted a son together and we have a daughter. On top of that, our son Justin and his wife have an 18-month old son. How's the family?"

"Crazy as always."

"And Kathy?"

"She's good. We worked on our marriage while I wasn't working. How long have you been married?"

"We will married 3 years on Christmas Eve. The twins are due at any time now. I was barely pregnant with Natalie when we got married. Hank is from Chicago, so he transferred here. We have a nanny to take care of the kids, including our grandson and she is a saint. I keep thinking she's going to quit having to take care of two more but she has assured me that won't happen. Taking care of 5 kids is a lot. I'm not ready to quit my job yet and I know Hank isn't either."

"What does Hank do?"

"He heads the Organized Crimes Unit."

"Hank Voight is your husband?"

"Yep."

"I was just reinstated to the NYPD and will be working in that unit."

"That's interesting. When do you start?"

"Monday. I haven't met him yet."

Hank was standing in the doorway.

"Well, now is your chance. Hey, Honey."

"Hey, Babe."

Olivia waddled over to Hank and kissed him. He put his hand on her belly and rubbed it.

"Hey, guys, Daddy's here."

"You're Hank Voight?"

"Yeah."

"I'm Elliot Stabler."

"Nice to finally meet you. You're Olivia's former partner?"

"I am."

"I've heard about you."

They shook hands and then Hank sat down on the sofa. Olivia sat next to him, so he could put his arm around her and Elliot moved one of Olivia's desk chairs and turned it around to face them.

"What made you decide to come back to the NYPD?"

"Honestly, I don't know. I killed a teenage girl, who was shooting up the Squadroom and I couldn't deal with it being a father. I put my papers in, got my shit together and worked on my marriage. I regret how I left things with Olivia. She was my best friend and partner and I should have properly said goodbye to her or at least kept in touch with her. I asked if I could be reinstated to another unit because I didn't think I could handle SVU again. They told me they were looking for someone for Organized Crimes as the second in command if I'd be willing to take the Sergeant's exam, so I did."

"Hank and I became Lieutenants at the same time. Just so you know, I'm now friends with Ed Tucker. We both are."

"Ok. I've been working on my anger issues and I do need to deal with him too. Is he still with IAB?"

"No. He's now with Hostage Negotiation. He knows you're back with the NYPD though and he's not too thrilled. I now get why he came down so hard on me and that was because of you. He never really got along with Nick Amaro, who was my partner after you left but they have worked out their differences. Hank has a tendency to act like a hothead sometimes but for me, he behaves."

"I've been good since I moved here."

"Yes, you have and I appreciate that."

Olivia started making faces.

"Babe, are you ok?"

"I think I might be in labor."

"Ok. Let's go."

"I'll drive."

"Thanks, El."

"Yeah, no problem."

Olivia grabbed her coat and her stuff and they headed down to Elliot's SUV. As Elliot drove to the hospital, Hank texted Justin, Olive and Erin as well as Ed, Al and Trudy. Elliot dropped them off in front of the hospital and went to park, while Hank took Olivia inside. Before Elliot went to find them, he called Kathy to tell her what was going on. He went in and just decided to go to the waiting room, so Hank and Olivia could do this on their own. When Erin got Hank's text, she told everyone and they weren't getting anywhere with the case, so they all headed to the hospital. She also texted Jay and Lucy. Fin texted Melinda, Cragen, Munch, Trevor, Alex, Casey and Barba. Ed and Justin headed there as well. When Ed arrived, he went up to the waiting room.

"Hey, Tucker."

"Stabler. I heard you came out of retirement."

"Yeah, I did. Liv said you weren't with IAB anymore. I've been working on my anger issues. I know that returning to the NYPD meant that I'd have to deal with you again. Do you think we could bury the hatchet?"

"I guess we could try. When do you start?"

"I'm supposed to start on Monday but I guess it might be sooner."

"I think Hank mentioned that he was going to take a couple weeks off when the babies came."

"They wanted me to take the Sergeant's exam."

"He's been tryin' to get someone in the unit to take it and no one wants to. Most of them ones in his unit are young and for the most part inexperienced. Organized Crimes has been a revolving door and it has nothin' to do with how Hank runs things. This has been goin' on since before I left IAB. His daughter's boyfriend, who was under him in Chicago, is now working for ESU. Erin wanted to work for Olivia in SVU. She's got a good squad. SVU's Deputy Chief's son is her Sergeant and then she also has Fin, Rollins, Amaro and Carisi."

"I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. You're with Hostage Negotiation now?"

"Yeah. I felt it was time for a change."

"How did you and Liv end up being friends?"

"When they were tryin' to adopt Noah, Olivia found out that his biological father was a sex trafficker and she had arrested him. She wanted to make sure that IAB knew that SVU wanting to send Johnny D to prison had nothing to do with them wanting to adopt Noah. I told her I knew that and she had IAB's support. I started respecting her more after she had been kidnapped and tortured by William Lewis and with everything she went through. She met Hank not too long after Lewis killed himself and they've been together ever since. He's a good guy. I wasn't sure we'd get along because he is a lot like you but he changed his ways for Olivia. Although a part of me understands why you were the way you were. Some of these suspects are a piece of work and after observing SVU on a case involving a child, I saw how sick people really are."

"Unfortunately, that's where my fuse was the shortest. I still feel that way sometimes."

"Almost two years ago now, Olivia has held hostage and the guy wanted to talk to someone that had a lot of pull in the NYPD. She wanted it to be Hank but she knew that he wouldn't be in the right frame of mind to deal with this guy and as it was, he was pacing around like a caged animal waiting to attack. She called me to be the hostage negotiator, since I take the courses every year. Fortunately, Erin was there with Hank and was able to calm him down. I discussed things with him as I was talking to the suspect but I knew he was too emotionally involved because this was his wife. Ironically, Erin's boyfriend Jay was the one that took the suspect out. That incident is another reason I decided to transfer out of IAB."

"You were investigated for something for something too, right?"

"Yeah. Surprisingly, SVU supported me through that. Olivia is good at what she does."

"She always has been."

Ed and Elliot kept talking and then Olivia's squad came in.

"Hey, Stabler! What's goin' on, Man?"

"Not too much, Fin. I'm returning to the NYPD and workin' with Liv's husband. I went over to SVU to talk to her and she ended up going into labor."

"Glad you're back. This is Amanda Rollins, Nick Amaro, Mike Dodds, Dominick Carisi, Jr. and Erin Lindsay, who's Voight's daughter. This is Elliot Stabler, Liv's former partner."

"You're Stabler. We've heard a lot about you."

"I'm sure she was pissed when she talked about me."

"Yeah."

"She didn't change her name when she got married?"

"Outside of work, she goes by Voight but she has always gone by Benson professionally. She said it would be less confusing because of them both being Lieutenants. He was fine with it and said it was her decision anyway."

Justin and Olive arrived and Erin introduced them to Elliot. Justin and Erin went to find out where Olivia was, while everyone else sat and waited. Several hours had passed and Olivia was still not completely dilated. Olive, Justin and Hank went to grab a bite to eat and some of the others had gone too. Erin and Amanda stayed with Olivia.

"How you doin', Liv?"

"I'll be better when this is over. Are the kids ok?"

"I just talked to Lucy a little bit ago and they are both excited to meet their brothers."

"I'm just glad I have Natalie. I wanted a daughter so much."

"She's gonna be outnumbered."

"We both are."

"Yeah but you're still in charge. Dad will do anything for you."

"Yeah, I know. That's why I love him so much."

"What do you think about your former partner being back?"

"Honestly, I hope he and Hank can get along and work together."

"He and Tucker were talkin' when we got here."

"That's a surprise. They have always hated each other. Hopefully they are attempting to bury the hatchet."

The doctor came in again to check on Olivia and did an ultrasound.

"One of them moved and is now breech. I think we need to get them out as quickly as possible before he tries to turn again."

"Ok. Erin, get your dad."

Erin texted Hank with '9-1-1'. As soon as he saw it, he left the cafeteria and hurried back to Olivia's room.

"What's wrong?"

"One of them is breech, so the doctor wants to get them out as quickly as possible before he tries to turn again."

"Ok."

The nurse came in and the got Olivia ready to take her to the OR, just as the doctor came in again.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah."

Hank went to get ready, while Amanda hugged Olivia and Erin did too. Justin and Olive came in just as they were about to take her out and they hugged her. Olivia was taken to the OR, while Justin, Olive, Erin and Amanda went to the waiting room. Everyone was back in the waiting room.

"Is she ok?"

"One of the twins was breech, so they wanted to get her into the OR and get them out before he decided to turn again."

"Wow! What are they naming them?"

"Jared Henry and Ethan Richard."

"Is their daughter named after anyone?"

"Her name is Natalie Olivia."

"What happened to your mom, Justin?"

"She had ovarian cancer. Dad and I were both a wreck and didn't have the best relationship after her death. Olivia helped us to have a better relationship and I've loved her since the moment we met. She's my mom now and I wouldn't have it any other way."

A few minutes later, Hank came out with his newborn sons.

"I'd like to introduce you two Jared Henry and Ethan Richard."

"Aw! Hey, guys. Welcome to the world."

Justin took one and Erin took the other. Then Kathy came in.

"Hey, Kathy."

"Hey, Fin. How are you?"

"Not too bad. How about you?"

"I'm doing good. Are these the new babies?"

"Yep. Hank, this is my wife Kathy. Kathy, this is my boss and Liv's husband Hank Voight."

"Nice to meet you."

"You too and congratulations."

"Thank you."

Lucy then came in with Noah, Natalie and Daniel.

"Uh oh, I see babies."

"Yep. This is Jared and that's Ethan. Elliot and Kathy, this is Noah and Natalie, our grandson Daniel and our nanny Lucy. This is Elliot and Kathy Stabler. Elliot used to be Olivia's partner in SVU and he will be working with me. Actually, he'll be in charge for the next couple weeks while I am off. Are you ready for that?"

"I think I'll manage."

"If you need someone higher, the list is on my desk. They usually end up contacting Tucker if they need someone. We've worked with him quite a bit."

"Do you ever do anything with SVU?"

"We've worked with them on several occasions."

"Ok."

Hank took a picture of the twins to text to everyone in Chicago and then he took them back to the nursery and while he was gone, everyone Fin had texted arrived.

"Elliot!"

"Hey."

"When did you come out of hiding?"

"Recently. I'm back with the NYPD and I will be working with Liv's husband. I start on Monday and will be on my own already. I recently took the Sergeant's exam."

"So, they're here?"

"Yep."

Fin introduced Elliot and Kathy to Barba. Hank came back and saw everyone.

"Hey, everyone!"

"Hey."

"Do you want to see the boys?"

"Of course."

Hank took all of them down to the nursery.

"Hank, they are gorgeous!"

"Thanks."

"They are definitely handsome little devils."

"Thanks, Munch."

"Is Liv ok?"

"She had to have a C-section. One of them was breech and the doctor wanted to get them out before he tried turning again."

"Were they a good weight?"

"Just under 6 pounds each."

The doctor came out.

"Hank, she's in recovery and doing fine. You can go be with her if you want to."

"Yeah. Thanks."

Hank went with the doctor to where Olivia was and then everyone else went back to the waiting room to get caught up with Elliot and Kathy. Natalie was sitting with her big brother Justin.

"So, Lucy are you ready for 2 more?"

"Oh, yeah. Liv will be off too, so it'll be a while before I have them all on my own."

"She had a C-section, so she should be off 8 weeks, I would think, right?"

"That sounds about right. Dad's taking a couple weeks off too."

"Yeah."

"What I am planning to do for the 2 weeks Hank is off is let them have alone time with the twins and I will take Noah, Natalie and Daniel out a while."

"We are each planning on taking time off to help out and that includes Jay. Once Dad goes back to work, I'll be off a week. Justin will be off the following week, Olive the week after that and Jay the week after that."

"If I can help out in any way, please let me know. I've known Olivia a long time and she did help me deliver our youngest son."

"I'll help out too. Eileen and I aren't going anywhere for a while with the holidays coming up anyway."

"I'm sure Mom and Dad will appreciate that. I know Al and Meredith and Trudy and Mouch are planning to come for the Holidays and Lucy is off those two weeks but I think Dad was planning on taking more time then anyway."

"We'll all do what we can to help too."

"I'm off between Christmas and New Year's to go see Zara and Gil in California but I will do what I can and so will my mom. Liv knows that."

"We'll probably be partially staffed anyway because of the Holidays. Rollins has her kid and Fin has his son and grandson."

"Wait, Fin, you're a grandpa now?"

"Yeah."

Fin pulled out his phone and showed Elliot and Kathy the picture of Jaden.

"This is Jaden."

"He's adorable. Maureen's oldest is just like her, so now she knows what she was like with us."

"How many grandkids do you have?"

"We have 4 right now. Maureen and Kathleen both have 2 kids. Dickie and Lizzie both got married last year and Dickie and his wife are expecting their first in February. We're kind of expecting Lizzie and her husband to make an announcement before long."

"I'm hoping by the Holidays but that's just me."

"So, are you and Warner a thing now?"

"We are, yeah."

"Good for you."

Everyone kept talking and then they moved Olivia back to her room. She was awake and everyone had gone into see her before they left. Lucy went home and Justin and Olive took the kids home to get them to bed. Hank was the only one that had stayed with Olivia and the boys.

During the next few days, Olivia and the boys were released from the hospital. Hank was off but Kathy had come over to spend time with Olivia while Eli was at school and Elliot was at work. Olivia was glad that Kathy and Elliot were in her life again and that she and Elliot may eventually work together again. She was also glad that he and Hank seemed to get along well and that he and Ed were getting along for the first time ever. Everyone else came over whenever they could and they had even gotten some visitors from Chicago but a lot of them had been planning to come visit them for the Holidays, so they waited until then to meet the new babies.
