A/N: This is the second (and final) part to the last chapter titled "Blast from the Past". I don't own any of the characters except my own.

Catching Up

After the Holidays were over, Kathy was spending the most time with Olivia and the kids.

"I'm really glad you're doing this."

"Me too. I was always so jealous of you because you were spending more time with Elliot than I was."

"Nothing ever happened."

"I know. He told me. I know you both cared for each other."

"That was because we worked so closely. I respected you and the kids."

"And I appreciate that."

"I never would have crossed that line with Elliot. Ever. Hank is the best thing that has ever happened to me besides our children. I'm glad you and Elliot are back in my life and I am actually surprised that he and Hank get along, since they are very similar in personality."

"He seems like a great guy though."

"He really is. I love Hank so much."

"You wouldn't cross that line if you were still single and Elliot and I were divorced?"

"No, I would not."

"I believe you. Sometimes I think he still has strong feelings for you."

"If he tries anything, Hank would not stand for it. I'm still hurt by the way Elliot just up and left without a word. That is why I told him that I'm friends with people he wouldn't necessarily approve of but it's my choice and not his. If he doesn't like who I choose to be friends with, he doesn't need to be in my life. It's that simple. I still care about him but like I said, I never saw us as anything more than friends and partners. Hell, he's more like a brother to me than anything else."

"I get it and he seems like he's giving Tucker and chance."

"Hank said they worked on a case that required Tucker being there and he and Elliot were actually getting along."

"He's trying."

Then Hank, Elliot and Ed came in.

"Hello."

"Here comes trouble times 3."

"That's for sure."

Hank and Elliot kissed their wives.

"Are the 3 of you behaving yourselves?"

"Always."

"Uh huh."

"I always behave for you."

"Yes, you do. Don't the 3 of you have anything else to do?"

"Not really. It's been a slow day."

"Honestly, I'm not looking forward to going back to work when the time comes."

"Where's Lucy?"

"She had a dentist appointment this afternoon. Everyone is taking their naps now."

"Good. Is Natalie doing any better?"

"She still has a fever but the antibiotics seem to be working."

"Ear infection?"

"Yep. She got them a lot when she was teething. Noah had a cold and then she picked it up. She ended up getting an ear infection as well."

"How often does she get them?"

"She gets them only once a year but she usually responds very well to the medication. We are figuring the boys will get them too."

"Justin used to get them and Daniel has too."

"That has to be rough."

"It is sometimes. Natalie has her daddy wrapped around her little finger."

"She definitely looks like you though."

"That she does but she's stubborn like her daddy. So far, the boys look like me too."

"I'm fine with our children looking more like you. I don't like to brag but we make beautiful babies."

"Yes, we do."

Hank kissed Olivia and then they laced their fingers together.

"So, work was slow today?"

"Yep."

"It was for me too."

"Some days are better than others for SVU too."

"Are they surviving without you?"

"Oh yeah. Sergeant Dodds is quite capable of running things by himself. They check in with me at least once a day. How does it feel to be back working for the NYPD?"

"Not too bad. I do miss working with you."

"Yeah, I miss working with you too."

"Your hubby is a great guy and I must admit, I think I'd rather get along with Tucker than have him against me like it always seemed like he was."

"You two seem to be getting along much better than you were before you retired."

"We are."

"I didn't expect him and Hank to get along as well as they do and Ed was still with IAB when Hank started with the NYPD."

"I admit that I may have said that I wouldn't have let you come back if I was still with IAB but now that we are actually getting along, I may have changed my mind."

"I get why you were the way you were and that I wasn't the easiest person to get along with. I'm really trying to control my temper."

"I get it now. Believe me."

"Hank, how did you end up getting the job here?"

"When I was in Chicago, I worked in the Gang Unit and then I headed the Intelligence Unit. I was with the Intelligence Unit when Olivia and I met. Intelligence was a lot of high profile cases and they thought I was qualified for Organized Crime. I couldn't do what Olivia does. We had some rape cases in Chicago and that was hard to deal with. I don't know how she does it. We had a case a few days ago that involved a sexual assault and I knew SVU was busy. Elliot knew how to handle it, so I let him take the lead on that case. Olivia knew what was going on because I did not want to overstep my boundaries with SVU but she was the one that said he knows what he's doing. She's fine with us handling our own sexual assault cases for that reason."

"As far as I'm concerned, Organized Crime can handle their own hostage situations too. I was impressed by how you two handled that case a couple weeks ago."

"Coming from him, that's definitely a compliment."

Ed gave Olivia a look and shook his head.

"Well, it's true."

"Yeah, I know."

"I'm just surprised these two are getting along."

"You didn't think we would?"

"No, not really. That's just because of your personalities. I know how you are and I know how Hank can be."

"I guess that'll do it. I'm getting along with Tucker. That's progress."

"Yeah. For both of you."

"He and Dickie don't always see eye to eye and sometimes he and Eli don't either."

"Do you ever hear from Simon?"

"I haven't heard from him in years except when he wants something."

"That'll do it."

"Do you need to get home?"

"No. Eli is sleeping over at a friend's tonight. Why?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to stay for dinner."

"That sounds great."

"That is if it's ok with Hank."

"It's fine with me. Ed, do you want to stay too?"

"Yeah, sure."

Natalie woke up and came downstairs. She saw Hank and crawled up on his lap.

"Hi."

"Hey, Pumpkin. Daddy missed you."

"Missed you too.

Hank kissed her cheek. He put her over his shoulder and started rubbing her back.

"Are the kids coming for dinner?"

"Justin and Olive probably aren't, since Friday is date night for them. I think Erin and Jay were heading to Chicago for the weekend anyway."

"I forgot it was date night and I guess I forgot Erin and Jay were going to Chicago too."

"It's been so long since we have had a date night."

"Yeah, I know."

Noah woke up and came downstairs and then the twins woke up wanting to be fed. Olivia went to get one to nurse, while Hank went to get a bottle for the other one. They stayed up in the bedroom as they fed the babies.

"I miss our alone time."

"I know, Babe. I do too."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Hank and Olivia started kissing and then Olivia put her head on Hank's shoulder. After the babies were done eating, they went to fix dinner. Once dinner was ready, they all sat down and ate together. After dinner and dessert, they sat in the living room and Elliot and Olivia talked about their favorite memories of working together. After talking for a while, Kathy helped Olivia put the kids to bed, while the guys talked about work. Kathy had given Noah and Natalie their bath and once they were ready for bed, they went down to say goodnight to Hank. Hank ended up taking them up and tucked them in before helping Olivia with the twins. Once everyone was in bed, Ed, Elliot and Kathy sand goodnight to Hank and Olivia and headed home. After everyone had left, Hank and Olivia went up to their bedroom and got ready for bed. They got into bed and held each other for a while until they fell asleep.
