A/N: This is the third part to two of my previous chapters: "The Cruise" (Chapter 135) and "Getting Closer" (Chapter 136). There will probably be another chapter when Olivia and Noah come to Chicago to visit Hank. I don't own any of the characters.
Nervous
Olivia arrived at the hotel and parked her SUV.
"You wanna come up?"
"Do you want me to?"
"I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't want you too."
They got out of her SUV and went up to Hank's room. They both knew what was about to happen and they were both nervous about it. Hank hadn't been with a woman since before Camille got sick and Olivia hadn't been with anyone since Ed. Hank unlocked the door and they went inside. Then they sat down on the bed.
"Are you ok?"
"I don't know. I'm nervous about doing this. I haven't been with a woman since before my wife got sick, so it's been a while."
"I'm kind of nervous too but if you don't want to do this, we don't have to."
"I want to but I just want to be able to see you again."
"We'll figure it out. I promise. Kiss me."
Hank leaned closer to Olivia and they kissed.
"Olivia?"
"What?"
"I'm not prepared for this."
"Don't worry about it."
"What happens if…"
"I'm over 50, so I don't think I will get pregnant at this time of my life."
"You sure?"
"Yes, Hank. I want you to make love to me."
Olivia went back to kissing Hank and then she started to undo his shirt. He started to unto her blouse and then after she removed it and he removed his shirt and T-shirt, he started kissing her chest and stomach, including her scars. Once they were both undressed, they made love. Afterwards Hank had his arms wrapped around her with her head on his chest. They were wrapped in the sheets and all out of breath.
"How long did you say it had been for you?"
"Close to a decade."
"Don't underestimate yourself, Hank. That was pretty amazing."
"You're not just saying that?"
"No. It's probably the best I have had."
"Come on."
"I'm serious. No one has ever made me feel like I do right now and that is a compliment."
"Olivia?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
They kissed again and then they fell asleep in each other's arms. The next morning, Hank had woken up before Olivia did. He had slept better than he had in a long time. He missed having someone in his arms. He really wanted this relationship to work but it would be hard considering that he was in Chicago and she was in New York. Olivia started stirring and then she woke up.
"Good morning."
"Morning."
They kissed and then they made love again. Olivia then left and headed home to take a shower and change, since she had to pick up Noah from Jeremy's. Hank went to take his shower. Olivia had woken something in him that he hadn't felt in a very long time. Hank then went to get dressed. About an hour later, Olivia texted him and asked if he wanted to have breakfast with her and Noah. He said he did, so they came to pick him up. She let him know when they were there. Hank went down and got into Olivia's SUV.
"Hi Hank."
"Hey, Noah. How was your sleepover?"
"It was fun."
Olivia drove to the restaurant and then they went in. They were seated and then looked at the menus. Noah was on the side of the booth by himself, so Hank and Olivia were sitting together. They had their order taken.
"How's Daniel?"
"He's good."
Olivia put her hand on Hank's knee, so he grabbed it.
"When are you going to marry my mom?"
"Noah!"
"What? You love her don't you?"
"Yeah, I do."
"Mom, do you love Hank?"
"Yes."
"If you love each other, then why can't you get married?"
"We don't want to rush into marriage and we have a lot to consider."
"Like what?"
"He lives in Chicago, which is 800 miles away from here."
"Can't we move there or he move here?"
"It's not that simple. One of us would have to put in for a transfer and if that is going to be me, we'd have to get you in a school. We are going to see where this goes first."
"Ok. Am I ever going to have a dad?"
"Noah, just stop it right now. Hank, I am so sorry."
"It's ok."
Even though Hank had said it was ok, he was a little uncomfortable by the conversation. Noah had gotten up to go to the washroom.
"Hank, I am so sorry about this."
"It's ok. Really."
"No, it's not. I can tell you're uncomfortable."
"Maybe I am a little uncomfortable."
"I just don't want to scare you off because my son wants a dad. I want this to work out as much as you do."
"He is definitely inquisitive."
"Yes, he is."
Olivia kissed Hank and then Noah came back.
"Hank, I'm sorry about before. I guess I just never realized what I was missing by not having a dad."
"Believe me, I get it. For the longest time, I never had the best relationship with my own son. It wasn't until he became a dad that we started having a better relationship. I miss him so much."
Hank started to become emotional thinking about Justin. Noah went over to him and gave him a hug, while Olivia rubbed his back. Their food arrived and then they ate. After they were done, Hank paid the bill and Olivia and Noah took Hank around the city. Several hours later, they ended up back at Olivia's apartment and found a movie to watch together. They ordered pizza for dinner and then after watching another movie, it was time for Noah to get ready for bed.
"Time for your bath."
"Ok."
Noah went to take his bath and then he got ready for bed. Olivia had gone to check on Noah and tuck him in. Hank was trying to figure out if he wanted to go or if he wanted to stay. Olivia came out of Noah's room.
"He wants you to come say goodnight to him."
"Ok."
Hank went into Noah's room.
"Night, kiddo."
"Night, Hank. Are you going to be here in the morning?"
"I don't know. Maybe."
"I hope you are. I had a lot of fun with you today and I hope things work out between you and my mom."
"I do too and I had a lot of fun with you today too."
"I love you, Hank."
"I love you too, kiddo."
Noah gave Hank a hug and then Hank kissed the top of his head. He shut off the light and went to find Olivia, who was in her bedroom.
"Stay here tonight and the rest of the time you're here."
"I should get my stuff then."
"Ok. Take my SUV and my keys."
"Ok."
Hank kissed her and then he left to go to the hotel. He packed his things and then he checked out, so he could go back to Olivia's. By the time he got back, Olivia was in the bathtub taking a bubble bath. Hank left his stuff in the bedroom and went into the bathroom.
"Care to join me?"
"Uh huh."
Hank got undressed and joined Olivia in the tub. He got behind her and then she leaned back into him, so he could wrap his arms around her. They laced their fingers together as they relaxed. Hank started kissing her neck.
"You're so beautiful."
"My scars don't turn you off?"
"Nope. I think they're sexy."
Olivia had tears running down her cheeks and Hank knew it.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"I've just never felt this loved before."
"What about your other boyfriends?"
"Brian has always been immature and I couldn't see him as a husband let alone a father. The only thing Ed did that was even close to being romantic was taking me and Noah to Paris. I cared for both of them and still do but neither one completely had my heart and neither of them ever took a bubble bath with me. I've been thinking about you a lot since we met on that cruise. I have no idea where this is going but I know I can see a future with you."
"Honestly, I feel the same way about you. I feel like I failed Justin as a father and maybe you and Noah coming into my life is my second chance to prove that I can be a better father."
Olivia turned her head, so she could kiss Hank. They finished in the tub, dried off, put robes on and brushed their teeth. Olivia took Hank's hand and headed into the bedroom. They made sure the door was shut and locked and started kissing again. Hank sat on the bed, while Olivia stood in front of him. He undid her robe and she let it fall to the floor. She undid his and he took it off the rest of the way. She joined him on the bed and then they made love. Afterwards he had his arms wrapped around her and she had her head on his chest.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"When are you going back to Chicago?"
"Monday afternoon. Can I talk you into taking a day off, so we can spend some time together?"
"Uh huh as long as we can spend some of that time making love."
"I'm sure something can be arranged."
"Good."
They kissed each other and then they fell asleep in each other's arms. The next day, the 3 of them spent the entire day together and they even had dinner with her squad. Hank had called Erin but she was out of town. On Monday, Olivia got up and made sure Noah was ready for school, while Hank fixed breakfast. She dropped him off after he said goodbye to Hank and then she came back. The two of them spent most of the morning in bed making love. They went out to lunch before Olivia drove Hank to the airport. She parked at the terminal and got out. Hank got his bag.
"I'm going to miss you. You know that, right?"
"Yeah. I'm gonna miss you too."
Hank wrapped his arms around Olivia and kissed her.
"Call me when you get home."
"I will."
"I promise Noah and I will come to Chicago soon."
"I'm gonna hold you to that. You'll stay with me, right?"
"Yes, we will."
Hank kissed her again.
"I love you, Hank and so does Noah."
"I love you both too."
They kissed one more time and then Hank went to get checked in, while Olivia headed home. Once Hank went through security, he went to the gate to wait. A couple hours later, he boarded the flight and waited for it to take off. He knew had some thinking to do. He had really fallen for Olivia and he loved Noah too. Was he ready for a change in his life to be closer to Olivia and Noah? Only time would tell.
