A/N: This is just something I came up with. Tucker, Al and Antonio are all still around in this one. I might do another part to this at some point. I don't own any of the characters.

Hostage Situation at SVU

Intelligence had come to New York to help both SVU and Organized Crime with a case. Elliot was getting a little too close to Olivia and Hank was not happy. When the case required two people to pose as a married couple, Olivia was about to suggest her and Hank but Elliot jumped at the chance. Once the case was over, Olivia and Hank were in her office and she knew he wasn't happy. Before they could even talk, Elliot came in.

"Liv, you wanna grab a drink?"

"No."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Dinner then?"

"I'll pass. I actually have plans."

"You'll have to come to my place for dinner some night soon. The kids and my mom would love to see you. You can bring your son."

Hank had had enough, so he got up and grabbed his jacket.

"You know where to find me."

"I do but Detective Stabler was just leaving."

Hank left and headed towards the elevator but stopped in the washroom first.

"He's a bit of a hot head. What's his problem anyway?"

"My guess is, you."

"Me? Why? I don't even know the guy. Why would you have even suggested that the two of you could have posed as husband and wife? That was always my favorite part of us working together and I hope to make that a reality someday very soon. The sooner the better."

"Detective, you need to go."

"I want to make sure you get home ok."

"I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself."

Elliot left and headed towards the elevator. Hank was waiting and then once the door opened, they both got in.

"I don't like you or your attitude. I also don't know how well you know Liv but I've been in love with her for over 20 years. We are finally free to be together now that my wife is gone and nothing or no one is going to stand in our way."

"I hate to break this to you but she's with me."

"Not for long. I'm not goin' anywhere anytime soon and I know she loves me the way I love her. She always screws up every relationship she's in because no man can compare to the one she really wants and that's me."

"Don't flatter yourself. I don't like your attitude either."

"Too bad. This is going to be your one and only warning. Stay the hell away from Liv."

"Or what?"

"Just remember, I know people."

"Yeah, I do too."

The elevator door opened and then Elliot punched Hank in the stomach before he left. Hank had had the wind knocked out of him but he texted someone he knew could help him with Elliot. He told him he would meet him at Olivia's office in 20 minutes. Hank went back up to SVU.

"Honey, are you ok?"

"No. That son of a bitch punched me in the stomach after he threatened me and told me to stay away from you. He seems to think he is going to make you his."

"I don't want him. I never did. I want you."

"He now knows we're together but I never told him that we're married."

"The less he knows the better."

"I just don't want to have something happen to you. He said you screw up relationships because no one can live up to the man you really want and that's him. I texted Ed and he said he'd meet me here in 20 minutes."

"Ed was not happy that Elliot was back with the NYPD."

"I'm just glad that in a couple weeks I will be here all the time."

"Me too. I'm glad you contacted Ed."

"Stabler told me that he knows people and I told him I did too."

"True. You know Ed and he actually likes you. You also know people with the FBI. I'm surprised you didn't punch him back."

"Believe me, I would have but he just walked off with some cocky ass smirk on his face."

"That's just how he is. He's always been that way."

Then Elliot had come back.

"I thought I told you to stay the hell away from Liv."

"Elliot, you need to stop!"

"He obviously doesn't understand our relationship."

"We are never going to have a romantic relationship."

"Once he is out of your life for good, we will. You'll screw that relationship up too. You always do. No one can compare to me."

"I finally got a relationship right. Hank and I love each other."

"He punched me, Liv."

"That's not what I heard. Your comment about him being a hot head earlier is true but for me, he's a completely different person. You on the other hand have not changed one bit."

"I'll change for you. I just want to make you happy in every way possible and that includes in the bedroom. Dump him right now and then we can be together."

"It's not that easy."

"Of course it is. She doesn't love you. She loves me and wants to be with me."

Hank started balling his hand into a fist and then he punched Elliot in the face. Elliot did the same to him and then Hank slammed him into the wall. Elliot pulled his gun and pulled the trigger. One bullet hit him in the left shoulder and chest but he was still wearing his vest.

"Hank!"

Ed had come in and heard the commotion. He pulled his gun, while Olivia called an ambulance and put pressure on Hank's shoulder. Elliot still had his gun pointed at Hank.

"Drop your weapon, Detective!"

"Go to hell, Tucker! This doesn't concern you."

"Oh, no? Olivia and I were together for about a year and we are still friends. I accepted her relationship with Hank and moved on. I suggest you do the same. She's not the same person she was when you were her partner. She's grown as a person and most of the reason I treated everyone the way I did was because of you. She probably wouldn't be where she is now if you had stayed. You held her back."

"I'd be the Captain of SVU right now and I will never move on from her. We were meant to be. If she dated you, she had to have been desperate."

"People change. I'm not the same person I once was. The NYPD never would have promoted you. Cragen knew what he was doin' when he wanted Liv to be in charge of the unit. She was fighting her feelings for Hank even while she was with me. If you two were 'meant to be' then where were you when she was being held and tortured by William Lewis for 4 days? Where were you when she went through what she went through to get her son? Where were you when her former Sergeant was shot and later died in the line of duty and she was blaming herself? Where were you when her son was kidnapped by his own grandmother? You need to accept things the way they are."

"I will never accept Liv with anyone but me. I'm the longest relationship she has had with a man and I want to help her raise her kid. We will be a family and I don't care what you or this piece of shit have to say about it. I want him out of the way, so Liv and I can be together forever."

"Actually, Fin is not the longest relationship I have had with a man. I will never be with you."

"Don't say that. You can't mean that."

"But I do. I never had romantic feelings for you."

"Bullshit! Yes, you did. It was so obvious that you wanted me as much as I wanted you. The only person standing in the way of us being together was Kathy. Well, now she's dead."

"You don't get it, do you? I respected that you were married. You need to respect that I'm the one that's married."

"You're not married?"

Olivia showed Elliot her and Hank's wedding picture. He grabbed it out of her hand and threw it across the room.

"You bitch! I had so many plans for us. You need me."

"Not anymore."

"He can't possibly make you happy."

"He sure does. He's more man than you will ever be."

"You will be mine. I promise you that."

"I will never be yours! You'll be in jail."

"I'll never end up in jail."

"We intend to press charges because you shot him on purpose."

"He started it."

"No, you started it."

"Look me in the eye and tell me you don't love me and don't want to be with me."

Olivia looked him in the eye.

"I don't love you and I don't ever want to be with you. I love Hank, MY husband. I wouldn't want you if you were the only man on earth. You are a pathetic excuse for a human being and I wish you had never come back into my life."

"I'm still not buying it."

"I still have connections to IAB, so you won't be getting away with it that easily."

Ed tried calling IAB but Elliot knocked the phone out of his hand and took his gun just as the paramedics arrived. Olivia grabbed her stuff and tried to head out with Hank but Elliot grabbed her and put his gun to her head.

"You're not going anywhere."

"I need to go with my husband."

"He's not going anywhere either. Let him die."

Elliot stood in the doorway and wouldn't allow the paramedics to leave with Hank. Fin, Amanda and the rest of Intelligence had come back and saw what was going on. Amanda and Fin didn't like that Liv had a gun to her head and Intelligence saw their boss on a gurney. Fin went up behind Elliot and put his gun to his head, while Jay contacted Erin.

"Drop your weapon, dumb ass!"

"Not until Liv realizes that I'm the one she wants to be with."

"News flash, she loves Voight and is happily married to him."

"She can't possibly be happy. If I can't have her, then no one will."

"Stabler, get over yourself."

"I already told him that I love Hank and only Hank. I told Elliot that I wouldn't want to be with him if he as the only man on earth and that he's a pathetic excuse for a human being. I told him that I wish he had never come back into my life."

"I was actually hopin' he was dead but no such luck."

"Tutuola, I'm glad it wasn't just me that felt that way."

"Tucker, I didn't like you when you were with IAB but you turned out to be an ok guy after all. I admit that I didn't like you with Liv but you were there for her through a lot of the shit she's been through from Noah's adoption and when he was kidnapped by Sheila, which is more than I can say for this pathetic piece of shit. You also didn't investigate SVU after what happened with Dodds."

"I knew she didn't need that. I gave up Internal Affairs for her and I'm glad I did."

"Is there a Hostage Negotiator you can call?"

"That's Tucker. He's already here."

"Oh."

"Sir, we need to get him to the hospital."

"I don't give a shit if he lives or not. I should have put a bullet in his head. Maybe I should."

"Maybe I should put a bullet in your head, Stabler. Drop your damn weapon! Now!"

"No!"

"You haven't changed at all in 10 years. In fact, you're worse than ever. You haven't been in the right frame of mind since Kathy's death. I told you before that you are suffering from PTSD. I should know. I have it too."

"Hey, Rollins, can you make a call for me?"

"No problem, Tucker."

Amanda contacted Tucker's unit and told them what was going on. They told her they'd be there as soon as they could."

Kevin went up behind Elliot and put him in a headlock as he put the gun to his head.

"My Sarge needs to get to the hospital and you will let him go."

Elliot tightened his grip on Olivia.

"You're hurting me."

"I don't mean to, Liv but you need to know that I really do love you. I need your love and support more now than ever."

"If you love me as much as you say you do, you wouldn't be doing this. Hank is my husband whether you want to hear that or not. You need to stop being so obsessed with me and let me live my life with my family."

"I'm supposed to be your family."

"When did this happen? Who just up and left 10 years ago?"

"I already told you that if I had heard your voice, I wouldn't have left. I bailed you out of jail, so you owe me."

"I owe you?"

"I'm collecting on it now. I want you."

"Screw you, Stabler! I never asked you to get me out of jail and I sure as hell didn't ask you to take out a second mortgage on your house to do it. Who helped to deliver your kid? I don't owe you a damn thing!"

"Like hell you don't!"

"You need some serious help."

Kevin tightened the headlock and then Elliot loosened his grip on Olivia and shoved her onto the floor. The gun came loose from his hand, so Ed kicked it out of the way. Erin had arrived at the same time HNU did. She knocked Elliot out of the way and then the paramedics were able to take Hank out. Erin then helped Olivia up and then Olivia went with Hank. Elliot was cuffed and then Erin told someone to put Elliot in the Interrogation Room, so Fin took him in there. Erin left her gun with one of her former co-workers and went in. Fin left the room. Ed had already left to head to the hospital to check on Olivia.

"How dare you!"

"How dare I what?"

"How dare you shoot my dad in front of his wife and then nearly let him bleed out! All because you have some sick obsession with Liv. She doesn't love you. She never did."

"Bullshit! I know she loves me. You don't know anything about me, her or our relationship. Her marriage isn't legal anyway."

"And how the hell would you know that?"

"Liv would never marry someone like him."

"She loves him and he loves her. I can find out anything about you. I work for the FBI, so I can find out anything about anyone."

Elliot was smirking at Erin with that cocky smirk of his, so she took the chair he was sitting in and used her foot to knock it onto the floor before putting her foot on his throat. Everyone watching couldn't help but laugh. Her former co-workers knew that was for Hank, since it was something he would do.

"If my dad dies because of you or you continue to harass Liv, you are going to wish you were never born. Do I make myself perfectly clear?"

"Go to hell!"

"What did you just say to me?"

"You heard me. I told you to go to hell."

Erin grabbed Elliot by his shirt and then banged his head into the table before she kicked him between the legs.

"Stay the hell away from my family you piece of shit!"

Erin left and then Fin came in. Erin and everyone from Intelligence left and headed to the h

"I want that bitch arrested."

"She didn't do nothin' to you that you didn't deserve, dumb ass!"

Fin took Elliot to have him booked before he and Amanda headed to the hospital. At the hospital, Hank was in surgery and Olivia and Ed were sitting in the waiting room. Olivia had sent Kathleen a text message that she needed to talk to her.

"You sure you're ok?"

"Not really but right now all I care about is Hank. I do intend to file charges with IAB against Elliot."

"You have every reason to. You have told him multiple times to leave you alone but he continues to harass you. This is the reason why I was not happy when I found out he was still employed by the NYPD as a liaison in Italy and then returning to work in Organized Crime. If it had been up to me, he never would have been allowed back here. It was an officer involved shooting. He'll not only be investigated for that but if you intend to file harassment charges, then he'll be investigated for that too. Now I know why Hank wanted to talk to me."

"I just don't feel safe around Elliot any more. He hasn't been in the right frame of mind since Kathy's death."

"As far as I'm concerned, he's never been in the right frame of mind. I will tell IAB everything I saw and everything that was said during that entire incident."

"He told Hank that I always mess up relationships because no one can compare to the man I really want and that's him."

"I didn't feel that way about us. I know you wanted more time for Noah and I understood that. I also knew you had feelings for Hank."

"It wasn't like I started seeing him as soon as we ended things and I did tell you when Hank and I got together."

"Which I appreciated."

"And I wasn't desperate when I was seeing you. I'd have to be desperate to ever be in a romantic relationship with Elliot though. I feel like I have to babysit him again, which is how I felt when we were partners. I'm not his boss and he's not my problem. Both Noah and Hank's 6-year old grandson behave better than he does. I just hope I can talk to IAB before he does. I know he is going turn things around and say it was all on Hank."

"No doubt he will."

Erin came in with Intelligence and Kathleen and Dickie were with them.

"Liv, how's Dad?"

"He's in surgery right now. All I care about right now is him."

"I contacted Olive to tell her what happened and she said to keep her posted."

"I meant to call her."

Olivia told Kathleen and Dickie what had happened and then Erin told them her part in it. All Dickie could do was shake his head and laugh. Ed couldn't help but laugh either.

"As usual, he can dish it out but he can't take it."

"That sounds about right."

"Olivia, we are so sorry about all this."

"It's not your fault by any means. He just needs to get over the idea he has in his head that we are going to be together because we are not. I don't want to think this way but if something should happen to Hank, I'm not going to be in a hurry to get into another relationship and it'll never happen with your dad. I basically told him that if he was the only man on earth, I wouldn't want him."

"So, he actually told you that because he bailed you out of jail, you owed him?"

"That's what he said. I don't know if he ever told your mom about that."

"She knew. She told him he could have told her."

"A part of me thinks Elliot will try to arrange to have someone kill Hank while he's here."

Then Fin and Amanda came in and Olivia told them what was going on.

"You really think Stabler would be dumb enough to have Voight killed in the hospital?"

"Yes. He's not going to leave me alone until Hank is out of the picture and we're together. He did tell Hank that he "knows" people. Hank did tell him he knows people too and I'm sure that means Ed and Erin.

"I can have more agents around and keeping an eye on Dad. I can stay with him. I have some vacation time."

"We can stick around too if you need us."

"Even if they don't, I will."

"I should be the one staying with him."

"You're part of the reason Detective Stabler did what he did in the first place."

"Yeah, I know but I need to be here to support Hank. I take my marriage vows seriously."

"I know you do and no one is happier that you two are finally married than I am."

"I'm pretty happy about it."

"At times, we figured Dad would be the one to be killed and not Mom. Dad doesn't care whose toes he steps on. He never has."

"Working with him for as long as I did, he always made everything about him."

"I agree with Liv on that. I almost transferred out of SVU at one point because of him but Cragen never approved it."

"I can believe that. I transferred to Computer Crimes for a while because I couldn't deal with him. We always had to put cases we were working on off because he had to deal with something involving usually the two of you. I had to take your mom to the doctor when we were in the accident and I had to help deliver Eli in the ambulance."

"We were all grateful for that, including Mom. She and maybe Eli could have died if it hadn't been for you."

"Yet he still says I owe him for bailing me out of jail."

"When were you in jail?"

Olivia told everyone in Intelligence about what had happened.

"Nice and you were in a relationship with the guy that arrested you because why?"

"He turned out to not be the same person he was then. Elliot Stabler is not the same person he was a decade ago either and that is not a compliment. I'm glad Ed and I are still friends."

"I am too."

"I would hate to see Stabler's IAB file."

"It probably has a drawer of its own."

"Just about. It's pretty thick."

"Mine has to be too."

"Same with me."

"Not as bad as Stabler's or Amaro's."

IAB came in and talked to everyone they needed to talk to besides Hank and then they left to go speak with Elliot.

"I don't miss that at all."

"Well, we don't miss you being with IAB either. I'm just glad they talked with me before Elliot. I know he will twist things around and put the blame on Hank."

Then Carisi came in.

"Liv, how's Voight?"

"He's in surgery. I was told if he hadn't been brought in when he was, he may not have been so lucky. He got hit in the left shoulder."

"So, Detective Stabler did this to him?"

"Yep. He wanted Hank out of the way, so he could have me all to himself. I guess Erin went off on him in the Interrogation Room."

"Whatever is wrong with that guy is no little thing. That's all I have to say. The suspect from the case will be arraigned tomorrow."

"Good. Hopefully Elliot will too."

"Buchanan is his lawyer."

"Great. Just as long as it isn't Barba. My friendship with Barba means more to me than my friendship with Elliot. Barba has at least been there for me."

Then Barba came in.

"Liv, I heard about Hank. Is everything ok?"

"How'd you hear?"

"I ran into Buchanan. He seems to think he's innocent."

"Well of course he does but the bullet in my husband's shoulder should tell them who the gun belonged to. No one else pulled the trigger. I am just so glad Hank was still wearing his vest."

"Liv, did you call Lucy?"

"She said she'll stay as long as she has to."

"Noah can stay with me tonight. I can get him to school in the morning and then come here, so you can go home to grab a shower."

"That should work."

"If Patty and I can do anything to help with Noah or anything else, let me know."

"Thanks, Ed. When is Hank's last day supposed to be?"

"A couple weeks. We will do whatever we can at the other end. Even though he's taken time, he still has time to take. This was also pretty much a work-related injury."

"I don't see how he will be going back to work. If he's in the hospital at least until Monday, he will probably need to take time off to recuperate, which could be two weeks."

"That is true."

"I know he's pretty much packed anyway."

"Yeah, he is. He can probably do all the stuff with the Realtor online."

"No doubt. You're retiring too, right?"

"Yeah. At the same time. We've been talking about coming out here, so once I'm officially done, Meredith and I will come out here and look for a place. There is nothing keeping us in Chicago anymore anyway."

"Meredith is ok with moving?"

"She is. It's been rough on both of us since we lost Lexi. We both feel a change will be good for us."

"It'll be good for Hank to have someone he's close to nearby. So, Antonio, you're taking over?"

"That's the plan. I recently took the Sergeant's exam."

"That's great."

Fin's phone rang, so he went out into the hall to take it. Once he was done, he hung up and went back into the waiting room.

"Liv, I need to talk to you in private."

"Ok."

Olivia got up and then she and Fin went out into the hall.

"What's going on?"

"That was the Tombs. Our suspect from the case killed Stabler."

"Was there a motive?"

"Nope. Stabler was probably being an ass anyway."

"That's true. We need to tell Carisi and Elliot's kids. Besides rape and murder, he will also be charged with another murder."

Then Carisi and Amanda came out of the waiting room.

"What aren't you telling me?"

"We were about to. The phone call Fin just got was from the Tombs. The suspect from the case killed Elliot."

"That just made my job a little easier."

"Mine just got harder. I now need to tell his kids. They pretty much just buried their mother."

"At least now you don't have to worry about Stabler comin' after Voight while he's here."

"True but I would never wish this on him."

Then Sergeant Bell walked toward them.

"Olivia, any word on your husband?"

"He's in surgery."

"I have a few words for Detective Stabler regarding his behavior."

"Obviously you haven't heard yet. Our perp from the case killed him in the Tombs."

"Oh. Do you need me to contact his family?"

"Kathleen and Dickie are here right now. I talked to them about what happened earlier and this should probably come from me too. I've known them all since they were young."

"Ok."

Everyone went back into the waiting room and Olivia told Kathleen and Dickie what happened. They were upset but not completely surprised considering his recent behavior. Olivia comforted them the best she could and then the doctor came to tell her that Hank was out of surgery. He was doing fine and there was no significant damage to any of his blood vessels. Olivia went to be with him and then everyone else pretty much left. Fin got a call from Melinda that his family needed to ID Elliot, so he took Kathleen and Dickie there and then then had to tell their grandma and their other siblings. Erin went to get Noah from Olivia's and took him to her apartment. Everyone else either went home or to their hotel. Antonio called Trudy to let her know what was going on and Al called Meredith. He told her he would probably stay a little longer, so she decided to get a flight out to join him. Erin had called Olive and she told her that they would come out as soon as they could.
