A/N: This is just something I came up with. This takes place after Olivia found out that Elliot left (I'm going by when the episode aired), so Hank and Olivia meet 3 years earlier than they actually did. For this one, Intelligence already exists, so Hank has already been in jail for what happened with Casey. I was trying to keep this in one chapter, so there will be several time jumps here and there might be another chapter to this as well. I don't own any of the characters except my own.

Love at First Sight

Olivia was never one to travel much but she felt she felt she needed a vacation. She was upset about Elliot just up and leaving without any word whatsoever but at the same time, she couldn't deal with his ego or his family drama any more. She decided to go to Chicago. She made her reservations and then put in for the time off. Cragen was surprised that she had put in for a vacation but he understood why. She arrived in Chicago and got her luggage. She went to the hotel and then decided what she was planning to see first.

Hank had been widowed for over a year and a half now. He missed Camille so much. His relationship with Justin was pretty much non-existent. Justin was in prison for a DUI, so he was on his own for the time being.

Olivia had decided to go to Navy Pier and she had decided to take a ride on the Seadog. Hank had decided to spend some time at Navy Pier and ended up going on the Seadog as well. He ended up sitting next to Olivia.

"Mind if I sit here?"

"No. Not at all. Have you been on this before?"

"No. I've lived here my entire life but I have never been on this."

"No. Not at all. I'm Olivia, by the way."

"I'm Hank. You from the area?"

"New York. I'm playing tourist."

"I've never been to New York but I have always wanted to go."

"It's an ok city."

"It's ok here too. I've unfortunately seen a lot of bad stuff happen here."

"That sounds like me with New York. Yet I became a cop."

"I'm a cop too."

"That's interesting."

"What do you do?"

"I'm a Detective with the Special Victims Unit. How about you?"

"I'm a Sergeant and I'm with the Intelligence Unit."

The boat left and did the Lake and the River tour. When it arrived back, they got off the boat.

"How would you like a tour of the city?"

"I'd like that a lot. Could we grab something to eat first?"

"Sure. I know the perfect place."

They left and headed to Portillo's. It was a nice day out, so they decided to eat outside.

"So, tell me about you."

"There's not much to tell. I've been widowed for a year and a half and I have a son, who I don't have much of a relationship with. He's in prison right now for a DUI."

"That's not good. How did you lose your wife?"

"She had ovarian cancer. My world came tumbling down when I lost her. I knew it was coming but it was still hard when I lost her."

"I can understand that."

"What's your story?"

"Not much family. My mother was an alcoholic and died after falling down the stairs to the subway after coming out of a bar. I have a half-brother that only contacts me when he wants something. My partner of 12 years, who was an arrogant hothead, put his papers in after he killed a teenage girl when she started shooting up the Squadroom. I'm upset by it because we worked together for so long but in a way, I'm also relieved because I couldn't deal with his ego or his family drama any more. I needed to get away."

"That's understandable. I can be a hothead too. I seem to have gotten angrier after Camille's death."

"That's understandable. At least you don't seem like you make everything about yourself like he used to. Maybe sometime I can return the favor and show you around New York."

"I'd like that."

They talked as they ate and then Hank took her around the city. Hank then took her out for dinner before taking her back to her hotel.

"Thank you for today. I really appreciate this. Chicago is a beautiful city."

"You're welcome. It's a beautiful city even when it isn't. Here's my card."

"Here's mine too."

Hank and Olivia exchanged cards and then Hank headed home, while Olivia headed up to her room. Meeting someone was the last thing she expected to have happen but they seemed to have already connected. She wanted to get to know Hank Voight better.

Hank got home and went inside. As much as he missed Camille, he was intrigued by Olivia Benson. He didn't know if he was ready for another relationship yet but he knew he wanted to get to know Olivia better.

During the rest of Olivia's time in Chicago, she and Hank saw each other almost every day. She had even met Al and Trudy. He told her that he would come to New York soon.

Olivia had gone back to New York and much to her surprise, she and Hank kept in touch. He had contacted her to tell her that he was coming to New York and wanted to take her up on her offer to show him around New York. She told him she couldn't wait.

6 weeks later…

Hank was coming in to New York on a Friday night, so they'd have all weekend.

"What are you up to this weekend, Liv?"

"I have a friend coming in from out of town."

"What friend? Where is this friend from?"

"What difference does it make?"

"I'm just lookin' out for ya, Liv."

"I appreciate that, Fin but I'm a big girl."

Olivia grabbed her stuff and left. She was picking Hank up at the airport. She had checked to make sure the flight was on schedule before she left and she was there just as he was coming outside.

"Hey."

"Hey, yourself."

"My co-workers were trying to find out what I was up to this weekend."

"I only told Al and Trudy where I was gonna be."

"I'm glad you're here. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. I wasn't sure how I felt about this but this is the happiest I've been since before my wife died. I enjoy having someone to talk to when I come home from work."

"I do too. I'm glad we met."

"I'm glad we did too."

Olivia drove to one of her favorite restaurants and then they went in. Hank pulled out the chair and let Olivia sit down before pushing it back in.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Then Hank sat down. They looked at the menu and then had their order taken.

"How was your week?"

"Not too bad. How about you?"

"Same."

Olivia put her hand on the table and Hank grabbed it. He didn't really know why but he did. Olivia was bringing out feelings in him that he hadn't felt in a very long time. A part of him had hoped it would lead to more but maybe it was too soon considering they had only known each other for 6 weeks. Was it too soon for him in general? He didn't know what to think.

"Hank."

"Yeah."

"I'm usually not like this but I am very much attracted to you. I've been in a few dead end relationships including some one night stands but a part of me wants to see where this is going to go. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since we met."

"I know what you mean. I'd like to see where this goes too. I've never been in a long distance relationship before."

"Me neither. I can barely handle being in a relationship with someone in the same city."

"I've been in one serious relationship, which was with my wife and I had a one night stand before I even met my wife. I'm more of a one woman at a time kind of guy. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get involved with anyone again after I lost Camille. That is until I met you."

"A lot of people assumed that I was romantically involved with my former partner but to be honest, I didn't feel that way about him. I mean, I loved him but not romantically but I never would have crossed the line with him. He was married and had 5 kids. Sometimes I think he wanted more but I'm not into married men. I don't want to push you into something you're not ready for."

"It's not that I'm not ready. It's more like I'm always gonna love her."

"That's understandable. She was your first love and the mother of your son. How do you think your son would feel about you getting into another relationship?"

"Honestly, I really have no idea but if I know him, he'll have a fit."

"How old is he?"

"He's 18 and he's a pain in my ass. I think he blames me for his mother's death but I had nothing to do with it."

"How long is he in jail?"

"18 months. He's been there a little over a year."

They got their food and ate. Olivia then took Hank to his hotel. On the way, he then ended up telling her absolutely everything there was to know about him. It hadn't changed her opinion of him at all. He had invited her to come up but she had gotten a call, so she would just drop him off but they would spend the day together tomorrow. Hank got his stuff and then he went to get checked in, while Olivia went to meet the squad.

Hank went up to his room and got settled. Was he falling in love with Olivia already? Somehow he knew that Justin would not be happy with all this but that was a risk he was willing to take. Hank was starting to get tired, so he got ready for bed and fell asleep.

Once they were done with their case, Olivia decided she didn't want to go home. She went to Hank's hotel. She found out what room he was in and went up. She knocked on the door. It took a while before he answered.

"Hey."

"Hey. I didn't want to go home."

"Come on in."

Olivia went in and took her coat off.

"Sorry I woke you up."

"That's ok."

Olivia grabbed Hank by the shirt and kissed him.

"Hank."

"Huh."

"I want you."

"I want you too."

"Make love to me."

They started to undress each other and then they made love. Afterwards Hank had his arms wrapped around her and she had her head on his chest.

"That was so amazing! I love you."

"I love you too."

They kissed and made love again and fell asleep in each other's arms. The next morning, they woke up and made love again.

"I cannot get enough of you."

"Would you want to go away with me?"

"When and where?"

"How about Hawaii."

"I've never been there but I would love to go there with you."

"How about for Christmas?"

"That sounds perfect."

They ordered room service for breakfast and then once Hank was ready, they went to Olivia's apartment, so she could shower and change. Then she took him around New York. Hank ended up checking out of his hotel and stayed with Olivia. They spend most of the time in bed until Hank had to leave for the airport.

When Hank arrived in Chicago and got home, he called Olivia and told her he was home. She told him she missed him already. He told her he missed her too. He looked online to see what he could arrange for Hawaii.

Christmastime…

Both Hank and Olivia were looking forward to their trip to Hawaii for the holidays. They talked as often as they could but they hadn't seen each other since Hank was in New York, so they were looking forward to seeing each other. They were leaving on Christmas Day and returning New Year's Day. Olivia was leaving for Chicago, so she could be with Hank for Christmas Eve. Erin now knew about Olivia and was happy for him. Olivia had confided in Melinda and Fin about Hank and both were happy for her. When Olivia arrived in Chicago, Hank was supposed to pick her up but Trudy was there instead.

"Hey, Trudy."

"Hey."

"Where's Hank?"

"They had a case they were working on, so he asked if I could pick you up and take you to the District. I can't believe he is taking you to Hawaii. I am so glad he found love again."

"We had a connection from the moment we met and I never had this kind of connection with anyone before."

Trudy drove to the District and then they went in. The squad was gone but Trudy took her upstairs and she waited in the lounge. She made herself a cup of tea. Erin and Jay were back first. Erin went in and introduced herself to Olivia.

"You must be Olivia. I'm Erin Lindsay."

"Yes, I'm Olivia. It's nice to finally meet you, Erin. I've heard a lot about you from Hank."

"I've heard a lot about you too. I thought he was joking when he told me he was seeing someone. I've known him for a long time and he's the reason I'm the person I am now. I'm the daughter he never had."

"He did tell me that. He said he's not sure how to bring me up to Justin."

"He mentioned that and I told him that if he loves you, it shouldn't matter what Justin thinks. You're a cop too?"

"Yeah. I'm with the Special Victims Unit."

"That's awesome."

Then Jay came in.

"This is Jay Halstead. Jay, this is Olivia Benson."

"Hi. Nice to meet you."

"You too."

Everyone else came back and Erin introduced them to Olivia. Hank told Olivia to head to his house and make herself comfortable. He would have either Al or Erin drop him off when they were done. He walked her down to his car and kissed her before she left. When he came back up, he went into his office and then Erin came in.

"I like her."

"I'm glad I have your approval, Erin."

"I'm being serious. I think she's good for you."

"I think she is too. She makes me feel things I haven't felt in a long time. I know it's only been almost two years since I lost Camille but when I'm with Olivia, I feel whole again. A part of me wants to be with her all the time."

"Are you actually thinking about getting married again?"

"Yeah, I am. I never wanted to until I met her. The only problem is where we would live."

"If you love each other, which I think you do, you'll work it all out."

"I hope so."

They continued working on the case and got done what they could. Antonio assured Hank that they would be fine in his absence. Erin took Hank home and told him that she would see them tomorrow for dinner. When Hank walked in and took his coat off, he went into the kitchen and Olivia had dinner waiting for him.

"What's all this?"

"I felt like making dinner for you. Is that ok?"

"Of course it is."

Hank kissed her. They sat down and ate dinner.

"We need to talk about us."

"Do you want to break up with me?"

"No, not at all. This distance thing is harder than I thought it would be."

"I know it is but what do you suggest we do about it?"

"One of us could relocate."

"Actually, that has crossed my mind. I have never felt this way about anyone before."

"A part of me thinks it's too soon but you make me feel whole again."

"Hank, I want you to be 100 percent sure this is what you want. I don't want us to rush into this and then have it not work out. When I marry, I want it to be forever. My heart is in this relationship completely though."

"Mine is too."

Right now, I want to focus on Christmas and our first vacation together."

"Me too."

Once they were done eating, they cleaned up and then went up to Hank's bedroom to make love.

Christmas Eve was just the two of them and Erin. The next morning, they headed to the airport for their flight to Hawaii. They had breakfast at the airport and then waited for their flight to board. Once it boarded, they waited for it to take off. Once it took off, they both fell asleep.

Once they arrived in Honolulu, they got the luggage and went to get the shuttle to the hotel. Hank was sparing no expense for this trip. They had flown first class and he had gotten them a suite at the hotel. When they arrived at the hotel, they went to get checked in and went up to their suite. Olivia then went to check out the view.

"Hank, this is so beautiful. I can't wait to experience this with you along with everything else life throws at us."

"I can't either."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

They unpacked their things and then they made love. They had lunch before they changed to go to the beach. Once they got down to the beach, they put their stuff down and then they walked along the water holding hands. They went into the water and relaxed for a while. They went back to their suite, showered and fell asleep for a little while. After they woke up, they decided to order room service. They made love again before they fell asleep in each other's arms.

During the rest of their time in Hawaii, they saw the sights, spent time at the pool or beach and they spent a lot of time making love. The more time they spent together, the more Hank was thinking about proposing but he didn't want to rush things. He knew he loved her but was it too soon for him to want to get married again?

By the time their week was over, they had to head back to Chicago and New York. They went to the airport and then once they got through security, they said their goodbyes, which was not going to be easy.

"Thank you so much for this."

"You're welcome."

"I really don't want to go back."

"I don't either but we'll talk as often as we can and I'll see what I can do about coming to see you for Valentine's Day."

"That sounds like a plan to me. I love you."

"I love you too."

"I'm really going to miss you."

"I'll miss you too but Valentine's Day is only 6 weeks away."

Hank wrapped his arms around her and held her. They kissed before they parted ways. The flight to Chicago had taken off first. When Hank arrived in Chicago and got home, he texted Olivia to tell her he was home. As soon as she arrived in New York and got home, she let Hank know she was home.

The next day, they both returned to work. When Olivia walked into SVU, she felt more relaxed than ever.

"Hey, Liv. Welcome back."

"Thanks."

"How was it?"

"It was amazing. I might as well tell the rest of you. I've been seeing someone for 3 months now and he's the one I went to Hawaii with. I don't want to jinx it but I think things are starting to get pretty serious."

Olivia showed them a picture.

"You look happy."

"I am. There is no doubt about it. The only problem is he's from Chicago but he's also a cop, so we do have that in common."

"When do we get to meet him?"

"He's planning to come in for Valentine's Day, so maybe I'll introduce him to everyone then. I met his squad when I was there just before we left for Hawaii."

"That's great."

Olivia put a picture of her and Hank on her desk. She got a text from Hank asking how her day was going so far. She replied back that it was ok so far but she missed him. He told her he missed her too and he would call her later. She told him she couldn't wait. They set at time and then they both had cases to work on. Once their respective days were over, they both went home and had dinner before Hank called her. They were starting to get into a routine with each other but they both hated the distance.

In the 6 weeks between the time they had gotten back from Hawaii and Valentine's Day, a lot had happened. Hank had gone to visit Justin and told him he had someone new in his life. Justin had mixed feelings about it. He knew Hank wanted to move on but at the same time he also knew how much Hank loved Camille. Justin told Hank that he wanted him to be happy. He said he wanted to meet her as soon as he was released.

Olivia had been feeling under the weather and ended up going to the doctor to find out what was going on with her. It turned out she was pregnant. She couldn't believe it. She and Hank were having a baby. This was something she had wanted for the longest time. She couldn't wait to tell Hank.

Weekend before Valentine's Day…

Hank was heading to New York for the weekend. He couldn't wait to see Olivia. When he arrived in New York, he got his luggage and then he took a cab to the Precinct. Olivia told him she wanted to introduce him to the squad, so she gave him the address. When he arrived, he paid the cab driver and went up. Olivia was at her desk and Don was at his. Everyone else was out.

"Hey."

"Hey, yourself."

Hank went up to her and kissed her.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure."

They went into one of the interrogation rooms and sat down at the table.

"Hank, I'm pregnant."

"You sure?"

"I'm positive."

"When did it happen?"

"The last time you were here, so I was pregnant in Hawaii. We haven't necessarily been too careful, since we've been sleeping together."

"That's true but that means we are going to have to discuss what we're planning to do. Someone is going to have to relocate."

"I'm aware of that. We don't need to try to raise our child in two different cities. It's hard enough on us being in two different cities."

"Yeah, it is. I talked to Justin about you. He said he wants me to be happy and he wants to meet you as soon as he gets out. That's progress for him because he was close to his mother and she has only been gone a couple years."

"He may not like the idea that you're having another baby with a woman he hasn't met yet."

"He has no say in that matter. That is between you and me. I do want all of us to be a family though."

"I'm fine with that."

"Good. So, why aren't you out with the rest of your squad?"

"It just kind of worked out that way. I need to talk to Cragen and I know I need to go on desk duty. Our baby is my top priority. I want to make sure everything is ok."

Hank kissed Olivia and then they left the room hand in hand. They went to Cragen's office.

"Captain."

"This must be Hank."

"Yes, this is Hank Voight. Hank, this is Don Cragen, my Captain."

"Nice to meet you."

"You too."

"I have some news. I recently found out that I'm pregnant, so I need to go on desk duty."

"Liv, that is wonderful! Congratulations to you both!"

"Thank you."

"Thanks."

Don got up, hugged Olivia and shook Hank's hand.

"Are you planning to get married?"

"We haven't discussed it yet. We know we need to have the conversation about who is relocating."

"You're a cop too, right?"

"Yep. I'm a Sergeant. I head the Intelligence Unit in Chicago."

"That's great."

Then the rest of the squad came back with dead ends.

"Hank, this is the rest of the squad. This is Sergeant John Munch, Detective Odafin Tutuola, who likes to be called Fin, Detective Amanda Rollins and my partner, Detective Nick Amaro. This is Sergeant Hank Voight from the Chicago Police Department."

"This is the boyfriend, huh?"

"Yes, it is."

"Nice to meet you, Sarge."

"You too."

"Just to let you know, I'm on desk duty. I recently found out that I am pregnant."

"Liv, congratulations!"

"Thanks, Amanda."

"I'm happy for ya, baby girl."

"Thanks, Fin."

"Congratulations, kiddo!"

"Thanks, Munch."

"Wow! You're havin' a kid. That's a surprise. I guess that means I'm workin' with Rollins or Munch."

"I can't be out in the field in this condition."

"Liv, I get it. I am happy for you. If anyone deserves this, you do. You'll make an amazing mom."

"Thanks."

"So, you gettin' married?"

"We haven't discussed it yet. We need to talk about who is planning to relocate. It will be easier if we're raising our child in the same city rather than in two different cities."

"No arguments from me on that."

"What's going on with the case?"

"Not much. No one knows anything."

Amanda looked up the guy they were looking for.

"He's been arrested for various crimes but no convictions. Apparently he always manages to get the charges dropped."

"That sounds like someone we investigated recently."

"This him?"

Amanda showed Hank the picture.

"Yeah. That's him."

"Could we get your files on him?"

"Yeah, sure."

Hank called Antonio and asked him to email the files to Olivia.

"I asked him to email it to Olivia. I would love to see this guy go down for something. He's a piece of work."

Antonio texted Hank as soon as he sent it and then he told Olivia. She checked her email and printed it out.

"Thank you."

"No problem. If you need anything else, let me know."

"We will."

"Liv, why don't you call it a day? The rest of us can handle it."

"Ok. Call me if you need me."

"We will but we should be fine."

"It was nice meeting all of you."

"You too."

Olivia got her coat and then she and Hank left hand in hand. They went out for dinner and then headed to Olivia's apartment. When they got to her apartment, they went in and started kissing. They headed to the bedroom, undressed each other, got on the bed and made love. Afterwards Hank had Olivia in his arms and had his hand on her belly. Olivia had her hand on top of his and their fingers were laced together.

"I love our baby already."

"I do too. I can't wait to experience this with you."

"I can't wait either."

"I'm open to going to Chicago."

"I'm open to coming here too. I don't care where we are as long as we're together."

"That's all I want too. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

They kissed again and then they went to get ready for bed before they fell asleep in each other's arms. They spent most of the weekend in bed, since they wanted to make the most of their time together. The more they were together, the less they wanted to be apart. They agreed that they wouldn't get married until Olivia met Justin and he was getting released from jail in another month.

A month later…

Olivia was coming in for the weekend and Justin was being released from jail, so Hank had Erin pick him up, since he was picking Olivia up at the airport. Olivia's flight arrived in Chicago. She went to Baggage Claim and Hank was waiting for her. They kissed as soon as they saw each other.

"Hey, Honey."

"Hey, Babe. You ready for this?"

"I don't know. I'm a little nervous. What if he doesn't like me?"

"It still won't change how I feel about you or our little one."

"I had an appointment this morning. We are having a daughter."

"You don't know how happy I am to hear that. I did tell Erin."

"That's fine. She's your family, so I am fine with that."

Hank grabbed her bag and then they headed to his SUV. They got in and then he drove home. By the time they arrived, Erin was arriving with Justin. Everyone got out of the vehicles at the same time.

"Hey, Liv."

"Hey, Erin."

Erin hugged Olivia.

"Hey, Pop."

"Hey. This is Olivia Benson. Olivia, this is my son Justin."

"Hi Justin. It's nice to meet you."

"You too. I've heard a lot about you from Pop."

"I've heard a lot about you too."

Justin offered his hand to Olivia, so she shook it. Hank got Olivia's bag and then they all headed inside. Hank took her bag up to his bedroom, while Olivia took her coat off. She was already starting to show and Erin of course knew about it. It didn't take long before Justin figured it out.

"So, does Pop know about the baby?"

"Yes, as a matter of fact, he does. He's known since around Valentine's Day."

"So, am I gettin' a brother or a sister?"

"A sister."

Hank came back down stairs.

"So, I'm gettin' a sister, huh?"

"Yeah. You ok with that?"

"What choice do I have? You tell me a couple months ago that you met someone and now I find out that you're havin' a baby with this woman. You can't tell me that you actually love her."

"Yeah, I do but that doesn't mean I stopped loving your mom. Your mom didn't want me to spend the rest of my life being alone."

"Maybe she didn't but I figured you would have waiting longer than a couple years."

"Things happen. I want all of us to be a family. I don't expect you to accept Olivia right away but she's not going anywhere."

"I know we just met but I think I could learn to like her. I want to be a part of my baby sister's life."

"Then you have to follow the rules that I set when I last came to see you. You have to get a job, I don't want you getting involved with the wrong people. You won't be getting your driver's license back until you can prove you're responsible and I will be checking to make sure you're sober without warning. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes. I want you to be proud of me. It was stupid of me to do what I did."

"Good. Olivia and I are going for pizza. You two are welcome to come with us if you want."

"That sounds like a plan. I can't wait to have real food."

"I'll come too."

They all left and headed out for pizza. During dinner, Justin and Olivia got to know each other better. Hank was happy to see the two of them getting along so well. After dinner, they all headed home. Justin had gotten a call and told Hank that he was going to go meet some friends. Hank told him not to stay out too late. He agreed to that and then left. Erin came in for a little bit.

"So, he took that better than I expected."

"Yes, he did. I just hope he abides by my rules."

"What happens if he doesn't?"

"I'll probably drop him off at Army recruiting or someplace like that to have his ass whipped into shape."

"At least you're being tough with him."

"I have to. How else is he going to learn from his mistakes? I can't keep cleaning up his messes for him. Look at what happened when I tried cleaning up the mess when he left that kid paralyzed. I regret what happened with Casey and I never should have done what I did. I did apologize for what I did. I need to be a better father to my daughter than I was to Justin."

"Olivia knows about all that, right?"

"Yeah, she does. I don't have any secrets from her. I told her we would wait to get married until after she met Justin."

"We can get married now that I've met Justin but that still doesn't solve anything."

"What are you two planning to do?"

"I've been doing a lot of thinking. I think I might transfer here. New York is all I have ever known though."

"I don't expect you to do that. I'd be fine transferring out there too even though Chicago is all I have ever known. All I care about is that we're together."

"You still have Justin to deal with though."

"I guess if he has to, he can stay with me."

"I'll talk to him."

"I think I'm going to head home."

Erin hugged them both and then she left. Hank and Olivia headed upstairs and then they made love. Olivia had fallen asleep. Hank fell asleep for a little while but he wasn't sound asleep because heard Justin come home. He got up, put his robe on and went downstairs.

"Hey."

"Hey, Pop. I didn't wake you, did I?"

"No. I need to ask you something."

"Ok."

"How would you feel if I moved to New York?"

"It's your choice."

"She doesn't have a problem with moving here either."

"Maybe a fresh start somewhere different will be good for you. Even if Olivia did move here, you'd still have to find another place. How much would she want to live where you lived with Mom?"

"That did cross my mind too."

"I'll support you no matter what you decide. I like her and I want you to be happy."

"Thanks, Justin. That means a lot. This could be happening soon."

"You probably should be married by the time the baby is born."

"We know. I made reservations at the Signature Room for dinner tomorrow. I'm planning to propose then. I never really expected her to get pregnant but maybe this is another chance for me to be the father I should have been to you."

"I'm glad you're proposing. What happened with us wasn't just you. I really screwed up with I got drunk and got behind the wheel of that car. I couldn't handle Mom's death."

"I know. I couldn't either. Ever since I met Olivia, she has brought out feelings in me that I haven't felt since your mom."

"I get it. I just want you to be happy, Pop."

"Thanks. I appreciate that."

Hank hugged Justin and then they both went up to bed. Hank wrapped his arms around Olivia and fell asleep. The next morning, Hank got up, went into the bathroom and went downstairs to make breakfast. Olivia woke up and went into the bathroom before she went downstairs. She went into the kitchen and wrapped her arms around Hank.

"Morning, Babe."

"Morning, Honey."

"I have reservations for us for dinner tonight."

"I have nothing to wear."

"You could go shopping this morning."

"I could."

Justin came down and then they all ate breakfast together. Hank and Olivia went upstairs to get ready and then they went out, so Olivia could get a dress. She found something she liked and tried it on. She liked it, so she decided to get it. They stopped somewhere for lunch and then they went back to Hank's. They relaxed for a while and then they got ready for dinner. Once they were ready, Hank drove to the restaurant. He parked his SUV and then they walked to the building and went up to the restaurant. They were then taken to their table. They looked at the menu and decided what they wanted. The night had been perfect. They had dessert and then they left. Hank had booked a carriage ride around the city. That was waiting for them when they got outside. He helped her and then he got in next to her. It was still cold, so they put a blanket on. The carriage started going around.

"Hank, tonight has been so perfect. Thank you."

"You're welcome. There is something I want to ask you."

"Ok."

Hank took something out of his pocket and opened the box.

"Olivia, will you marry me?"

"Yes!"

Olivia pulled her glove off, Hank put the ring on her finger and then they kissed. Once the carriage ride was over, they went to get Hank's SUV and went home to celebrate their engagement. The next day, the told Justin and Erin their news. They started discussing their plans and Hank had said he'd be the one to relocate. Later that afternoon, Hank drove Olivia to the airport. They said goodbye and Hank said he would come out soon, so they could look for a place. He also needed to find a position with the NYPD. Olivia told him that she would check into that for him. They kissed and then Olivia went to get checked in.

During the next week, Olivia sent Hank all the open positions the NYPD had and then he had done a phone interview before going out there to talk to them. He and Olivia went to look at places to live and put in a bid. They also made arrangements for their wedding. They had hoped they could get people there on such short notice.

They had made an offer on a place and Hank had put in for the transfer to the NYPD.

A couple months later…the wedding and honeymoon

Hank had officially transferred to the NYPD to Hostage Negotiation, so he was getting settled there. The week before the wedding, they had closed on their new place and could move in at any time. They figured they would wait until after they came back from their honeymoon in Paris. Olivia had always wanted to go there, so Hank decided to take her there for their honeymoon. One thing they did do was have all the utilities started up.

They were having a small wedding in Central Park and the weather was supposed to be beautiful. Olivia had found the perfect dress and they both only had a couple people standing up for them. Erin and Melinda for Olivia and Justin and Al for Hank. Don was walking her down the aisle and Nick's daughter Zara was the Flower Girl.

The ceremony had started and once Melinda and Erin had come down the aisle, Zara came down and then Don and Olivia started down. Hank couldn't believe how beautiful she was especially with her growing baby bump. They had only been together for less than a year but in that time, they had fallen hopelessly in love with each other from the moment they had met. She was about to become his wife and in a couple months, they would be meeting their newborn daughter. When Olivia got to Hank, Don kissed her cheek and patted Hank on the back. He really felt like the proud father giving his daughter away on her wedding day. He was so proud of Olivia. She had been through a lot in the last year but he had never seen her as happy as she has been since she has been with Hank. Olivia took Hank's hand and put it on her belly. The baby had been pretty active and Hank had a huge grin on his face when he felt his daughter kick at the moment he and Olivia were officially becoming a family. They joined hands and then they exchanged vows and rings. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, they kissed and headed back up the aisle with their wedding party behind them. Everyone congratulated them and then they had pictures taken before they had the reception. They talked to everyone and then they had the first dance. They kissed as they danced and then everyone else joined in. They cut the cake and fed it to each other.

Hank and Olivia said goodbye to over one and left since they had to get to the airport. They changed their clothes and got their luggage before they left for the airport. They got to the airport and waited for their flight to board. Once they boarded the flight, they waited for it to take off. Like their trip to Hawaii, they were in first class. They were holding hands and had their fingers intertwined.

"I am so happy."

"I am too."

"Today was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to see what the next couple months bring for us."

"Neither can I."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

They kissed and then once the flight took off, they both fell asleep. By the time they were about ready to land in Paris, they woke up. They got their luggage and then went to the hotel. They got checked in and went up to their suite. They had an amazing view of the city, including the Eifel Tower. They made love and fell asleep for a while. They showered and went to get something to eat before they went to explore the city hand in hand. They even went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Hank stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her as they looked out over the city. Olivia took pictures.

"This is so amazing! Thank you so much for bringing me here."

"You're welcome."

"I love you."

"I love you too. Both of you."

They kissed as he rubbed her belly and then they walked around some more before heading back to the hotel. They changed and went down to the pool. After a while, they decided to get something for dinner, so they decided to order room service. After dinner, they made love before falling asleep in each other's arms.

The rest of their time in Paris was the same. On the day they were leaving, the headed to the airport for the flight home. Once they arrived home, Fin met them at the airport.

"Hey, Fin."

"Hey, you two. How was Paris?"

"It was absolutely amazing! We had the best time."

"Good. So, we have a surprise for you."

"What?"

"While you were gone, we all moved you to your new place."

"What? Thank you so much!"

"No problem. You still need to do your change of address and meet with your landlord but for the most part, everything is put away too."

"Wow! Now I guess we just need to work on the nursery."

"Actually, Justin did that. He said that was his wedding present to you."

"You really have an amazing son, you know that?"

"Sometimes it makes me wonder what he's up to. A part of me wishes he'd come here."

"Maybe after a while he will."

"Yeah, maybe."

Fin drove to their place and then once they arrived, Hank carried their bags in. The entire squad, Melinda, Alex and Casey were all there.

"This place looks amazing! Thank you so much. I need to see the nursery."

Olivia went upstairs and looked at the room that they had picked out for the nursery. When she saw it, she had tears running down her cheeks. Then Hank joined her.

"Wow!"

"Yeah, wow!"

Olivia got her phone out and called Justin.

"Hey, Olivia."

"Hey. Thank you so much for working on the nursery. It means so much to me."

"You're welcome. It's my wedding present to you and Pop."

"We wish you would consider moving here."

"I'm thinkin' about it. I do want to be there when the baby is born."

"She's due on or around the 15th of August. We want Erin here too."

"How was Paris?"

"It was amazing! That is one place I have always wanted to go. We hated to leave but we both knew we had to get back to reality."

"I bet. Can I talk to Pop?"

"Sure."

"Thanks."

Olivia handed her phone to Hank, so he could talk to Justin and then he hung up. Then they went back downstairs. Hank and Olivia ordered pizza and then everyone ate together.

They still had a lot to do before the baby arrived. What Olivia didn't know was that they had planned a baby shower for her, which also included Erin, Trudy and Kim.

A couple months later…the birth

A month after Hank and Olivia had returned from Paris, they had had her baby shower. Everything was making Olivia emotional.

It was the middle of August and it was hot and humid, so Olivia was miserable. SVU had gotten a call and Hank had been busy as well. Olivia was at the Precinct when she started to become uncomfortable. Her back had been bothering her all morning. Erin and Justin had decided to come in, so they would be there when then baby was born. They arrived in New York and headed to the Precinct once they got their luggage and the rental car. When they got up to SVU, Olivia was at her desk rubbing her belly.

"Hey, Liv."

"Oh, hey."

Both Erin and Justin hugged her.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm thinking it might be today. My back is killing me. I'm getting sick of peeing all the time and I have to go again."

Olivia got up and headed to the washroom. While she was in there, her water broke.

"Uh oh!"

She had left her phone on her desk, so she had no other way of getting Erin.

She finished up and washed her hands. She managed to get herself back to her desk.

"We need to go. My water broke."

Olivia grabbed her purse and phone. Justin helped her and then they headed to the elevator. They got her down to the rental car and headed to the hospital. Justin was in the back with Olivia, while Erin drove. Justin tried calling Hank but kept getting his voice mail. Traffic all of a sudden came to a stop.

"This is not happening! I will not have this baby in a car!"

Olivia looked to see what was going on and knew they could be there for a while. She was starting to get upset.

"How far is the hospital?"

"A mile. I just wish Hank was here."

Olivia had her radio, so she checked to see if there was a patrol car anywhere near her location. John heard it and contacted her. He and Nick were on their way back. John had the lights and sirens on and pulled up next to them heading in the opposite direction. Nick helped Justin get her out of the car and got her into the squad. Nick then got into the car with Erin and got her out of the mess, while John drove Olivia and Justin to the hospital. Justin tried Hank again.

"Come on, Pop. Answer."

In the meantime, Don knew where Hank was, so he rushed over there. Don got out of the car and went over to Hank.

"Hank."

"Yeah."

"You need to get to the hospital. Liv called to get a patrol car to her location because they were stuck in traffic and needed to get to the hospital. John and Nick were on their way back to the Precinct. Apparently Erin and Justin are here and were taking her. John is driving Liv to the hospital and Justin is with them and Nick rode with Erin to get her out of the mess. I'll take over from here."

"Thanks."

Hank took off and headed to the hospital. John was arriving at the hospital and dropped them off in front. Justin took her in, while John went to park the squad. Nick and Erin arrived shortly after and shortly after that, Fin and Amanda arrived. Olivia got registered and was about to be taken up to her room when Hank arrived.

"I'm here."

"Thank goodness!"

"Don took over."

"He has had experience with that."

They took Olivia and Hank to the room and then the doctor came in to examine her. The baby was breech, so they needed to get her out.

"She's breech, so we need to get her out. I'll go check on the OR."

The doctor went to check on the OR and then they got Olivia ready for surgery. They took Hank to get him ready as well. They went into the OR and within minutes, their daughter had come into the world. By the time Hank went to the nursery to get her cleaned up, weighed and measured, Don had arrived and so did Alex, Casey and Melinda. Erin had also called Chicago to tell them that Olivia was in labor. Hank came into the waiting room with the baby.

"This is Mia Grace. She weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces and measures 18½ inches."

"She's beautiful."

"Thanks."

"How's Liv?"

"They're finishing up. She had a C-section, since the baby was breech."

"Can I hold her, Pop?"

"Yeah."

Hank handed Mia to Justin and then took a picture.

"Hey there, Mia. I'm your big brother, Justin."

Erin took a picture too and then texted Jay to give him the details about Mia. She then held her before Hank took her back to the nursery. Hank went back to the waiting room and waited for the doctor. Then the doctor came out.

"Hank, she's in recovery."

"Can I go be with her?"

"Of course."

The doctor took Hank to where Olivia was and she was already awake. Hank kissed Olivia on top of the head.

"How's Mia?"

"Perfect. She weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces and measures 18½ inches. Here's a pic of her and her big brother."

Hank pulled out his phone and showed Olivia the picture he took of Mia and Justin.

"We made her."

"We sure did."

Hank kissed Olivia and then after a while, Olivia was moved back to her room, so she could be introduced to her daughter for the first time. The nurse came in with Mia and placed her into Olivia's arms.

"Hello, sweet girl."

"You can try nursing her in a day or so."

"Ok."

Then Erin and Justin came in.

"Everyone from Chicago sends their love."

"Thanks for contacting them."

"You're welcome."

"I'm glad I was here for this."

"So am I."

"Thank you both for trying to get me here."

"No problem."

"I was scared when we couldn't get a hold of Pop."

"I was too. I didn't want to go through this by myself."

"As the big brother, I guess I would have had to be in there you."

"I would have too."

"Don knew where I was. He came to take over, so I could be here with you. I just didn't want to miss this."

"I'm just glad you made it in time."

"I'm glad you and Pop got together and fell in love. Losing my mom was hard and I've made some dumb mistakes in my life. You've actually helped me have a better relationship with Pop and you have loved me even though you really didn't have too, so thank you for that."

"I'm not trying to replace your mom but I want you to know that I love you as much as I love Mia and you can come to me for anything."

"Thanks. I love you too."

"I love Erin too."

"I love you too, Liv."

They both hugged Olivia and then they left to head back to the house. Everyone else came to see them before they left. Hank was the only one that was still there. After Olivia had fallen asleep, Hank spent time bonding with his new daughter. The next day, Olivia nursed her and a couple days later, both Olivia and Mia were released from the hospital. She had the next 8 weeks to bond with her daughter before she went back to work. Some days were better than others but she loved every minute of being a mother so far.
