A/N: Here is something I came up with for Valentine's Day. I don't own any of the characters.

Forever

Olivia had had a rough day at work and she had just planned to spend the evening with Noah. Fin had taken off early to spend a romantic evening with Phoebe and Amanda wanted to spend some time with the girls. Hank was supposed to have come in over the weekend but things had gotten crazy in Chicago, so he had to postpone their weekend. She had been avoiding Elliot because of Hank and she hadn't told him about Hank. Every time he called her, she ignored his call. She knew he wanted more than whatever it was they had but she wasn't interested. She was just about ready to call it a night and head home to hopefully video chat with Hank for Valentine's Day when Elliot came in.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Is there some reason you keep avoiding me?"

"I know you want more than whatever this is that we have but I am involved with someone."

"I know."

"How?"

"I had a case that I ended up needing to go to Chicago for and I was talking to Sergeant Voight. I saw the picture of the two of you and Noah on his desk. I get why you never told me and I deserve it for the way I left things."

"Every time I got into a relationship with someone when we worked together, you'd act like an ass. I won't deny I cared for you because you were my partner but I didn't want to cross that line and honestly, I still don't. You need time to deal with what happened to Kathy anyway."

"Honestly, I get it. I had hoped for more after I lost Kathy but Hank doesn't seem like a bad guy. We went out for a beer and we talked. He told me about the first time you two worked together and you threatened to arrest him."

"Yeah, I did. After I threatened to arrest him, we learned to respect each other. The feelings were there for a while but neither of us was sure we wanted something long distance. He has actually known Noah since before I officially adopted him."

"How long have you and Hank officially been together?"

"4 years today. He had a lot he had to work out. We got engaged for Valentine's Day last year but we weren't going to discuss the wedding until we figured out what we were planning to do."

"Basically what he was planning to do though. I've known you a long time don't forget."

"Yes, it was what he was planning to do."

"He did tell me about his wife, so we do have that in common."

"You have a lot more in common than losing your wives and me. Your personalities are very similar but at least he listens and not everything is about him."

"Ok, I deserved that. Liv, I want you to be happy. I mean that."

"There is something else you need to know. I mentioned Ed to you."

"You don't have to tell me this if you don't want to."

"It's better that you hear it from me than someone else. Ed was actually Ed Tucker."

"Wait, did you just say you were in a relationship with Ed Tucker? The same Ed Tucker that tried taking both our badges away and charged you for a murder you didn't commit?"

"Yes but he wasn't the man he once was. Most of the reason he was the way he was was because of you."

"You actually believe that?"

"Yes, I do. He also became an unexpected ally when I was in the process of adopting Noah and found out one of the perps we arrested was actually his father. I wanted him to know that me adopting Noah had nothing to do with wanting that son of a bitch in prison. I was with Ed even though I was fighting my real feelings for Hank."

Elliot wasn't sure what to say. Then Hank came in.

"Hey."

"Hey, you. Happy Valentine's Day!"

"You too."

Olivia kissed Hank.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too. Elliot."

"Hank."

"Honey, I'm surprised to see you."

"Yeah, I know. I am so sorry about this weekend."

"It's ok. I know how crazy things get."

"I was wrapping things up in Chicago, so I could be here full-time. I wanted to surprise you."

"You retired?"

"Yep. As of this afternoon. I've been here a few hours already. My stuff left this morning."

"So, does this mean you are ready for us to make things official?"

"Yep. Judge Linden is waiting for us."

"Now?"

"Yes. I worked things out with Fin, Rollins, Erin and Lucy for you to be off a week, so we can go on our honeymoon."

"Where?"

"That's a surprise."

"There is never a dull moment with you, you know that?"

"That's what I like to hear."

"Congratulations, you two."

"Thanks."

Elliot left, while Hank went to get their clothes, which he had left in the Squad Room. They changed and then headed over to the Courthouse, where they were met by Noah, Erin, Fin, Phoebe, Amanda, Carisi, Lucy and the girls.

"So, this is why the two of you were in such a hurry to leave?"

"Yep."

They went in and went to Judge Linden's chambers. She performed the ceremony and Hank had also finalized adopting Noah. Erin had done a video chat with Olive, so she and Daniel could see what was going on. Once they were done, they headed to the restaurant where Hank had made arrangements for a dinner with everyone, which included Elliot and the group from Chicago. When Olivia saw everyone, she had tears running down her cheeks.

"Congratulations, Liv!"

"Thanks, Don! El, you knew?"

"Yeah, I did. The kids send their love."

"Tell them thank you."

"I will."

"So, is it Captain Voight now?"

"It is. I still can't believe this is happening."

"Well, Valentine's Day does hold special significance for us. I didn't want to wait another year."

"Neither did I. We've been engaged for a year and honestly, I'm fine with what we did. I didn't need a big wedding. Being with you is all that matters to me. You are the only man I could have seen myself doing this with anyway."

"I never wanted to get married again until I met you."

"I wouldn't have gotten through everything I've been through in these last few years if it hadn't been for you. I just wish it hadn't taken me so long to realize who or what I wanted. I've never had a connection to anyone that I have with you. Meeting and falling in love with you was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you so much."

"I love you too, Babe."

"I love you, Dad."

"I love you too, Buddy."

Fin had a feeling that Olivia saying that she never had a connection to anyone like what she has with Hank was a jab at Elliot and he was glad she said it. He hoped Elliot was offended after everything he had put her through in the time he was gone. Fin knew she deserved better and he had not seen her as happy as she has been in the 4 years she has been with Hank.

They brought the food out and everyone ate. They had cake and then Hank told Olivia that they had an early flight in the morning. Olivia said goodbye to her squad and after they both said goodbye to Erin and Noah, they headed home and made love before falling asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning they got up and got ready to head to the airport. Once they got there, Hank finally told her that they were going on a cruise. He had thought about taking her to Paris but he knew she was still hurting from Ed's suicide. She said she appreciated the thought but it was still too soon. She had hoped they would be able to experience Paris together someday. They grabbed breakfast before they headed to the gate and then they waited to board the plane. Once they boarded the plane, they waited for it to take off. They both fell asleep for a while.

When they arrived in Miami, they got their luggage and then took the shuttle to the ship. They boarded the ship and would be in the Honeymoon suite. During the next week, while on the ship, Hank and Olivia spent time on deck in the pool, eating or in their cabin making love. Whenever they were in a port, they would spend time exploring.

By the time they arrived back in Miami and it was time to head back to New York, neither of them really wanted to go home. They were closer than ever and they were AHankHankHank had gotten the honeymoonboth ready for what the next chapter held for both of them.
