A/N: This was another request from HMG2000. This takes place around mid-Season 22 but Tucker is around and still heading HNT. Al and Antonio are also still around. There will be a second part to this. I don't own any of the characters.

No Memory of You

Olivia had been in a terrible car accident and hit her head pretty hard. She was pretty banged up and had multiple broken bones. She had been in a coma since they brought her in. Hank had been in New York for about a year now and he had taken a leave of absence from HNT, where he was Tucker's #2. He was now a Lieutenant. Ed did not have a problem with it and even he was at the hospital quite a bit. Erin and Lucy were doing what they could to help out with Noah and Ed's wife, Patty was helping out when she didn't have to work. Al had also transferred to HNT when Hank did, so Meredith was also helping out with Noah. Olivia's squad, Chief Garland, Cragen, Munch and Olivia's other friends, including Alex, Casey, Trevor and Melinda, were also there quite a bit. Fin was keeping Amaro and George updated.

After about a month, Olivia finally opened her eyes. She looked around but the person with her didn't look familiar to her.

"There she is. Hey, Beautiful! We missed you."

Olivia looked a little bit confused. Hank left the room and went to find the doctor. The doctor had come in and started asking her questions.

"Name?"

"Olivia Benson."

"Birthday?"

"February 7, 1968."

"Occupation?"

"Police Detective."

"What year is it?"

"2008."

"Do you know who he is?"

"No. I'm sorry."

Hank's heart dropped into his stomach. He and Olivia had been a part of each other's lives for 6½ years and they had been together for 3 years. They had gotten engaged shortly before he gave up his life in Chicago and moved to New York. He had already adopted Noah and they had just moved into their brownstone shortly before the accident. Hank knew if she didn't remember him, she sure wouldn't remember Noah.

"Hank, can we speak in the hallway for a minute?"

"Yeah."

Hank went out into the hallway with the doctor.

"Is the memory loss permanent?"

"I doubt it but everyone is different. You just need to be patient with her. The only thing is, since she doesn't remember you, she may not want you around."

"I get she doesn't remember me but that also means she doesn't remember our son. I have to try to explain this to him."

"He's how old?"

"He's 7. That kid asks for her every day."

"I get it. If you want me to talk to him, I can."

"It should come from me."

"If you need me for anything, you know where to find me."

"Thanks."

The doctor left and then Hank looked inside the room at his beautiful Olivia. He loved her more than life itself and if he could switch places with her, he would. Don and John had come in.

"Hank, anything?"

"She's awake but she thinks it's 2008."

"So, she doesn't know you and she probably won't know Noah."

"Exactly. She'll remember the two of you, since you worked with her at that point and so did Fin."

"We'll do what we can."

"I need to get a hold of Casey and Alex to let them know she's awake but has no memory after 2008. I also need to talk to Melinda and Trevor."

"You worry about Noah. We'll take care of everyone else."

"Ok, thanks."

Hank went to get his jacket and left to go talk to Ed and Al, while Don and John went to make some calls. In the meantime, Elliot had come in. He was back with the NYPD and had recently lost Kathy. He hadn't come to see Olivia until now because Hank didn't want him there. He didn't see anyone in with her, so he went in.

"Hey, Liv."

"El! I am so happy to see you."

"I'm happy to see you too."

Elliot kissed Olivia's forehead.

"How'd I end up here?"

"You were in an accident."

"Who's your partner with me off?"

"Cragen."

Elliot figured she had lost some of her memory, so he decided to use it to his advantage. After Kathy's death, he had hoped to reconnect with Olivia in a big way. Now was his chance.

"Liv, what year is it?"

"2008."

Elliot took her hand in his and then they laced their fingers together.

"You really scared me when you were in the accident. I thought I was gonna lose you. I can't wait to get you home."

"We're together?"

"Of course we are. Kathy and I divorced after Eli was born."

Don and John were standing outside the room and looked at each other.

"John, you stay here."

"No problem."

John went into the room and chatted with Olivia and Elliot, while Don had gone to HNT. It didn't take long for him to get there. He went up and went into Ed's office. Hank was there, which is why Don chose to go there.

"We have a huge problem."

"What? Is Olivia ok?"

"Elliot Stabler was at the hospital and he's filling her head with lies."

"What kind of lies?"

"He's telling her they're together and he can't wait to get her home. I left Munch in charge."

"Whoever decided Stabler should have been brought back to the NYPD should be fired. That's all I gotta say."

"If it's 2008, can't you arrest Stabler for something?"

"I would love to. It's no secret that I wasn't a fan of Stabler and I know Hank operated the same way in Chicago at times but I wouldn't work with Stabler if he was the only cop in this Department."

"I tried keepin' him away from her. I hate that she doesn't remember me and that she won't remember Noah."

"As her fiancé, you had every right to keep him away from her because you were the one makin' the decisions. She won't remember Rollins, Carisi or even Barba. She'll know me but as the heartless IAB rat. She's come a long way with Langan too but she'll know him as a Defense Attorney."

"I just want her better and back the way she was."

"Over time, she'll probably get the memories she has of you and Noah back."

"What if she doesn't? That's what scares me. There's not much that scares me but this does. I don't wanna lose her, especially to someone who is fillin' her head with a bunch of lies."

"We all got your back."

"Yeah, Man. Ed's right. I've had your back for a long time."

"I know you have and I appreciate that just like I do with everyone else."

Then Lucy came in with Noah.

"Hi Dad."

"Hey, kiddo. We need to talk."

"Uh oh! Is Mom gonna be ok?"

"That's what we need to talk about."

"Use my office."

"Thanks, Ed."

"No problem."

Ed, Don and Al left and Ed closed the door behind them.

"Do you want me in on this?"

"Yeah. You might as well hear this."

Lucy and Noah both sat down and Hank turned one of the chairs around, so he was facing them.

"Your mom is awake but she doesn't remember a lot. In fact, she doesn't remember anything after 2008."

"Will she get better?"

"I hope so."

"That means she won't remember me, right?"

"That's right. She won't remember me either."

"Or me."

"All the doctor said is we need to be patient with her. Lucy, I just need you to keep doin' what you're doin'. I'm gonna be primarily responsible for Noah."

"I'll be here. You know that."

"Dad, please don't leave me."

"I'm not goin' anywhere, Buddy. You have my word on that."

Hank wrapped his arms around Noah and held him. They left and headed to SVU and Lucy ended up going with them. Carisi and Chief Garland were there.

"Hey, Voight."

"Hey. Olivia is awake but she doesn't remember a whole lot. She thinks it's 2008."

"Damn!"

"Noah, go get yourself a snack."

"Mom has snacks in her desk."

"That's fine."

Noah went into Olivia's office.

"Cragen overheard Stabler talkin' to her and he's fillin' her head with lies."

"Like what?"

"Like they're together."

"Oh, shit! I'm sure he's lovin' that."

"She only seems to know people who were in her life in 2008. That means you, Don, Munch, Alex, Casey, Melinda, Ed and Trevor, who are the only people I trust with her."

"Stabler is a dumb ass for takin' advantage of her like that."

"Don asked Ed if it's 2008, could he arrest Stabler for somethin'. He said he would love to. My main concern right now is Noah."

"As it should be. I got your back."

"Thanks."

Hank went to get Noah and then they left. He left Erin a message to call or come over when she had a chance. Fin left the Precinct and went to see Olivia. Munch and Cragen were the only ones there. Olivia was asleep, so the three of them went into the waiting room to talk.

"I got into it with Elliot. I asked him why he's taking advantage of her in the condition she's in. He basically said he needs to make up for the last 10 years."

"That's just bullshit! It's always gotta be about him. How does Liv seem?"

"I was with her with he was here. She acted like we were all working together just as we were then."

"The problem is, Stabler was gone for 10 years and now he's acting like he's the one that was by her side waiting for her to regain consciousness."

"That's what he wants her to think. What would have happened if she and Voight were married?"

"That's a good question and the sad thing is, Liv has no idea she's being taken advantage of."

"No, she doesn't. I think Voight has every right to be scared. I would be too if Phoebe was in the same situation and didn't remember who the hell I was. How do we get Liv to remember?"

"I called Huang and he said she could just all of a sudden get her memory back. He was more concerned with how she'll react to Elliot lying to her about their relationship, which could hurt her more."

"Stabler doesn't care. He wasn't around with all that shit she went through with William Lewis but yet he's gotta lie to her now and make her think they're in love all because she can't remember the last 13 years. Voight already lost a wife. I ain't gonna sit around on my ass and watch him lose Liv too."

"Fin, there's nothing we can do. She doesn't remember and we can't make her remember Hank and Noah."

"Then what the hell are we supposed to do? Allow Stabler to brainwash her? I ain't gonna let that happen."

They kept talking and then they went back to Olivia's room for a while. At the brownstone, Hank was fixing dinner and the doorbell rang.

"Noah, can you get that?"

"Sure."

Noah got up and went to answer the door after he looked to see who it was. It was Ed, Patty, Al and Meredith.

"Hey, kiddo."

"Hey. Come on in. Dad's in the kitchen."

"Thanks."

They all came in and went into the kitchen.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"I called Platt and let her know. She said if you need anything to call her. She said she'll talk to Dawson."

"Uh huh."

Hank went downstairs and broke down. Noah knew he was upset but decided to give him some space.

"Should someone go down there?"

"He needs to calm himself down. I know how he operates better than most people."

"I get that."

They heard Hank punching his punching bag. The doorbell rang again, so Noah went to answer it. This time it was Erin.

"Hey, Erin."

"Hey. You ok?"

"I don't know."

Erin hugged Noah and then she went inside.

"Go upstairs and wash your hands for dinner."

"Ok."

Noah went upstairs to wash his hands, while Erin went into the kitchen.

"Hey."

"Hey. Do you know?"

"Yeah. Rollins called me. Liv doesn't remember anything after 2008?"

"That's what they found out. Her former partner is back with the NYPD and has been since around the time of the accident. He's tellin' her they're together. I don't blame Hank for bein' pissed. Stabler was never one of my favorite people."

"Where's Hank now?"

"Downstairs usin' his punching bag."

Noah came back downstairs just as Erin headed down to the basement.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"I talked to Rollins."

"I'm losin' her, Erin."

Hank broke down again and Erin wrapped her arms around him.

"I have your back the same way you've always had mine."

"Thanks."

They went upstairs and then everyone had dinner. Hank was starting to feel better but it still hurt him that Olivia had no idea who he was. After everyone left, Hank got Noah to bed and went to bed himself.

The next morning before work, Elliot had gone to the hospital.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"So, I was doin' some thinkin' last night. After you get out of here, I think we should get married. We were talkin' about it before the accident anyway. Think about it, ok?"

"Uh huh."

"You ok?"

"I'm just a little tired right now and I want to be by myself."

"I'll stop by later."

Elliot tried to lean in to kiss Olivia's lips but she turned her head and he got her cheek instead. Then he left. That was not the first time she turned away when he tried to kiss her. Something didn't feel right to her but she wasn't exactly sure what it was. Then Fin came in.

"Hey, Liv."

"Hey, Fin. If I'm with Elliot, why don't I feel anything for him? It's almost like he's a complete stranger."

"I don't know what to tell you, Liv."

"I just want to remember what my life prior to the accident was."

"Do you remember anything at all?"

"When I shut my eyes last night, I keep seeing a boy with curly brown hair, blue eyes and the sweetest dimples. I also saw a brown-eyed man. Who are they, Fin?"

Fin looked at his phone and pretended to have a text.

"I gotta go."

"Ok."

Fin left and headed to HNT. Ed was out with everyone else when Fin got there.

"What's goin' on Tutuola?"

"Ok, so I went to see Liv. She said she doesn't feel anything for Stabler and it's almost like he's a complete stranger. She wants to remember her life prior to the accident. I asked her if she remembers anything at all and she said when she shut her eyes last night, she kept seein' a boy with curly brown hair, blue eyes and the sweetest dimples. She also saw a brown-eyed man. She wanted to know who they were but I pretended I had a text for a case. At least she kinda rememberin' somethin'."

"That's good news for you if she doesn't feel anything for Stabler. The boy she saw has to be Noah and the brown-eyed man has to be you."

"I didn't necessarily want to tell her who they were."

"You did what you thought you had to do. Call Don and tell him. He said he was gonna spend some time with her."

"Got it."

Fin called Don and told him what happened with Olivia. Elliot had come over to HNT to rub Hank's nose in the fact that Olivia didn't remember him.

"Mornin'."

"It was until you got here."

"So, how does it feel not to have her know who you are?"

"At least I'm not lyin' to her."

"You're the one that kept me from seein' her the entire time she was in the coma. I'm the one that she remembers. She told me she wants to get married as soon as she gets out of the hospital."

"When did she "tell" you that?"

"Just before I left the hospital."

"Which must have been before I got there. She told me that she feels nothin' for you and it's almost like you're a complete stranger."

"Of course she feels somethin' for me. She probably doesn't know what she's sayin'."

"She seemed pretty coherent to me. She told me she wants to remember her life before the accident."

"It was her and me. We had talked about getting' married before the accident but now it's really gonna happen. I can't wait. I've been dreamin' of this moment for 20+ years."

"In your warped mind maybe but you haven't been around for 10 years. You're hurtin' her more by lyin' to her."

"That's comin' from the biggest rat in the NYPD. What do you know about the truth or about Liv for that matter?"

"I know a lot more than you do. She was in a relationship with me before she was with Hank."

"She had to have been desperate."

"Unlike you, I respect her and I still care for."

"You have never cared about anyone but yourself."

"I gave up my job with Internal Affairs for her. All you're doin' is tryin' to make up for the last 10 years when you completely and intentionally avoided any contact with her. You have no idea what Liv has been through these last 10 years. I want to see her get her memory back and if any two people belong together, she and Hank do. I knew she had felt somethin' for him while she was with me, which is why I was happy for them when they finally got together. As it turns out, he and I work well together."

"I really don't care what she's been through or who you think she belongs with. I care about makin' things right with her and that's exactly what I'm doin'."

"It's pretty convenient that you wanna make things right with her now that Kathy is no longer in the picture."

"No one and I mean no one is going to stop that from happening. Got it?"

Hank was pissed and both Ed, Fin and Al could tell he was about to blow. He was glaring at Elliot.

"You got a problem?"

"Yeah. You."

"I got a problem with you too. I want you to stay away from Liv."

Hank shoved Elliot into the wall and Elliot punched Hank in the mouth. Hank then punched Elliot in the stomach. When Elliot tried punching Hank again, Hank punched Elliot in the mouth. Hank grabbed his jacket and then he left.

"Serves you right, Stabler."

Ed went into his office and Fin and Al went to check on Hank. Hank was so pissed that he put his fist through the window of his SUV. His hand was already bruised from the punches he threw at Elliot but now it was also bleeding. Al ended up taking Hank to the hospital. He called Ed on the way. Fin left and headed to SVU. Once Hank had his hand stitched and bandaged, he asked Al to take him home, so he could clear his head. Elliot ended up going to Organized Crime but really didn't say much to anyone.

At the hospital, Olivia was up and walking around. Don had come in and he walked with her. She talked to him about the same thing she had talked to Fin about but he told her to do what her heart told her to do. She shouldn't be in a relationship with Elliot if it didn't feel right to her. He also told her that she would remember her life prior to the accident. It may not happen for a while but he was confident it would happen.
