Saints Row 3 Lovers
Episode 11: A Learning Computer
...
Upset. Humiliated. All negative emotions within Isabella's body, because of a weird crash from the helicopter. Injuring Shaundi? It took the cake. Calling up her personal car to drive from the Saints, Isabella has also called Kinzie on speed dial. The Saint on the other hand has arrived with the black car (Blade) as the Boss got inside of it, having to call the Saint for such a long drive to hop on in for a joyride.
Isabella: Kinzie, where are you at?
Kinzie: Um, why do you need to know?
Isabella: After that chopper thing I'd like to get those fucking Deckers…
Kinzie: I've been busy…
Isabella: If it gets us to the Deckers, busy is good…
Kinzie: It does…
Isabella: Alright then what's next?
Kinzie: Well, next's… [long pause]
Isabella: Anytime now…
Kinzie: Come to my place…
Isabella: What's the problem? You afraid I won't like the plan?
Kinzie: No!
Isabella: …Then, what is it?
Kinzie: I've never allowed anyone in my inner sanctum before!
Isabella: Inner… sanctum…
Kinzie: [awkward] My sacred, private… room…
Isabella: Wow, heheh… That's adorable, you just made my day a whole lot better… See you when I get there Kinzie…
When dropping off the Saint at the newly built crib that is Safeword, the Boss wanted to bring someone along. Someone who she has been avoiding for sometime now. Pierce Washington. Isabella hasn't really avoided him but it was more of not having him along because of his complaints. Right now? It seems like a good time as any.
Arriving at Kinzie's Warehouse, both have entered in and found the entire building was in the dark. Living in a dark home was disturbing and spooky enough, but considering this is Kinzie they are dealing with, it never mattered much. Finding her, however, she was sitting in a swirly chair with several lit up computers around her desks.
Kinzie: You can hit the light…
Isabella: [turn the light on]
When turning on the light, the room was very sloppy and cluttered: newspapers all over the ground, several stamped to the walls. Mostly every computer was on indefinitely, not turning off, reviewing cameras from disclosed locations in Stillport, etc. "It's, um, homey," Isabella said with a bit of uncertainty. She didn't know what to feel when witnessing Kinzie's "Inner Sanctum." Pierce, on the other hand, saw a picture of a familiar woman in Stillwater. He slowly took it, and hid it away in his pocket.
Pierce: I don't see a bed…
Kinzie: Sleep is forbidden…
Isabella: What the fuck did the Deckers do to the chopper?
Kinzie: Matt must have hacked into its flight computer and fried it with an E.M.P…
Pierce: You can do that?
Kinzie: You can do a lot worse… If Matt gets the Decker User-Net plugged into the control power grid, it's… Trust me, it's bad…
Isabella: So how do we nail the Deckers?
Kinzie: If I could worm into their mainframe I'd do all sorts of naughty things! But I don't have the right gear for that…
Isabella: All right so what would you need?
Kinzie: [show her computer and smiled] Something like this…
Isabella: [grin and looks at the screen]
The computer is showing a fun size learning super computer.
Kinzie: That's one of the most powerful learning computers in North America, and STAG's got one!
?: Thanks for the tip, Agent Kensington!
Kinzie: Ahh! Damn it!
Isabella: Wait, that punk kid… is Matt?
Matt: [cackles] "That punk kid…" is the cyber god who just crashed your helicopter! Cheers!
Isabella: We'll retrieve it before he can get his hands on it! Don't you worry! [runs out]
Running outside, Isabella immediately got in her car, as so did Pierce, and used nitrous to blasted off.
Isabella: Tell me the computer's close…
Kinzie: It's at the STAG PR Center, hurry!
She was driving as fast as she can in a sports vehicle, now heading to Yearwood all the way to Bridgeport.
Pierce: So you and Shaundi were beaten by a little punk like Miller?
Isabella: Crashing a helicopter isn't beating; that's cheating…
Pierce: That sounds like you lost to me!
Isabella: Pierce, don't make me riddle you with bullets… [gets a phone call and answers]
Kinzie: Are you there yet?
Isabella: Almost…
Kinzie: I don't want that little bastard beating me again!
Isabella: Not a chance Kinzie… [hung up]
Pierce: Kinzie's a little high strung, don't you think?
Isabella: As long as she stays grounded in reality we'll be fine…
Pierce: You sure she still is?
Isabella: Not up for me to interpret…
Heading closer to the STAG PR Center, it was already swarmed by STAG, along with the Deckers making it before the Saints.
Pierce: Shit… Looks like the Deckers started the party…
Isabella: Then they can pick up the tab!
It was a tough situation to handle all of this gunfire being shot in all directions, but as long as they were distracted from killing each other, Isabella told Pierce to stay close as they entered in the building.
Pierce: Damn, there's even more in here!
Isabella: [scoff]
Pulling out her pistol, the Boss pushed Pierce to spread out, getting into cover to dial the number of Deckers, and STAG soldiers down. Practically it was very overwhelming, and the Saints were beginning to struggle a little bit. Lots of explosions happening, a bunch of screaming from the deaths of both the gang of cyberpunks and highly trained soldiers, (no, no wilhelm screams, let that crap die.) and more incoming Deckers coming out of the elevator.
Pierce: STAG sure has a lot of tech in here…
Isabella: Yeah, but I'm not seeing Kinzie's new toy…
Don't leave any of those pathetic peons standing!
Go home Matt, and take your little Deckers with you…
Well someone's a sore loser, Agent Kensington.
You haven't won yet!
If you're referring to your two pawns they're too late.
We'll see about that…
What's to see, except the epic failure that is the Saints?
A bit overconfident?
I am the one who got here first! I am the one leaving with the computer! I-
Yap yap yap get a job…
Kinzie: The Deckers are loading my computer in the garage… Get! Moving!
Isabella: You have some psychic bond with this computer or some shit?
Kinzie: I hacked the security feed!
Classic Kinzie in her advanced hacking skills, Pierce and the Boss killed the remaining Deckers, and started to go in the elevator, pressing the ground floor button… and entered more of them.
Isabella: There goes the truck and here comes the Deckers…
Kinzie: I called in reinforcements for you guys…
Pierce: Fuck reinforcements, we got a tank!
Kinzie: Oh no! Don't you dare! I don't want that thing anywhere near my computer!
Isabella: I wouldn't dream of taking the tank Kinzie… [hung up]
Pierce: Really?
Isabella: Do you even know me? Of course we're taking the tank! Gonna have as much fun as possible!
When taking the STAG tank, Isabella shot a missile launcher, blasting the garage doors off, and tracks the moving truck which was giving to by yet another amazing hacking skill from Kinzie. So far, the tank was slow driving it, given it's a big stretch out weapon of destruction, so was the truck. Pierce, on top of the laser cannon, sees more Deckers coming from behind to destroy the tank.
Pierce: Damn, the Deckers are trying to slow us down!
Isabella: Can't imagine why!
On Isabella's phone, she was interrupted by that same kid who called himself a cyber god, "Matt Miller," and started speaking to the Boss as she chases after a speeding truck… holding the learning computer.
Matt: Having fun yet?
Isabella: Oh Jesus fucking Christ…
Matt: You and that slag Kensington ready to beg for mercy?
Isabella: Are you ready to shut the fuck up?
Matt: Oh look at you puffing your chest like you're someone who's important! You better understand that you have no tactic I haven't planned for! You see, you'll never be as smart as me, but there's not one thing you can do that I can't.
Isabella: Oh yeah? Buy a pack of cigarettes!
Matt: …Ageist.
The race was on, destroying the trucks tires for it to slow down, or at least make a turn around for Isabella by hijacking the vehicle; either way, it was a race against the clock, and the Boss was gunning for that win.
Meanwhile, in Bridgeport, one of the Genki Girls, Vanessa, has visited a room with the patient being on its death bed… and that patient is none other than Shaundi McTovin.
Shaundi: [eyes opening slightly]
Vanessa: …Hi.
Shaundi: [groan softly] I don't want your fucking subscription to whatever gymnastics program you got going on…
Vanessa: [soft giggle] I'm the Boss's adoptive daughter, Vanessa. I'm here to see and check up on you…
Shaundi: Another kid huh? That's just great, I guess… I'm fine, now go away.
Vanessa pulled up a chair and sat next to Shaundi on the side, sighing deeply.
Vanessa: He was my inspiration growing up too, you know, providing me with hope that one day I'll succeed into becoming a killing machine like he was…
Shaundi: …He?
Vanessa: Johnny Gat.
Shaundi: [grunt] He was your inspiration?
Vanessa: So is my sister… Something about him… fills me with hope that I believe he's alive, because there's no way he could've died on that plane… [looks at her] You're also my role model…
Shaundi: [half chuckle] …What, not the Boss? You see me as a role model? Trust me kid, I got nothing to provide you so you can stop lying to yourself…
Vanessa: [sigh]
She rolled up her sleeve, revealing a tattoo from when Shaundi was wearing dreads, smoking a bong. It only showed her head with smoke in three puffy clouds.
Vanessa: I'm not lying. Life is not all about seriousness, it's about being able to show your true colors and make yourself feel wanted… I feel like doing something special for you, and help my mother with whatever mission she gives me…
Shaundi: And for doing something special? What's that gotta do with me?
Vanessa: Hm…
She stood up from her chair, and walks to the door. Shaundi was left alone in her bed, not bothering to question it, but a Genki Girl doing something special? What was that all about?
The rain was pouring down outside, and Kinzie thought it'd be a good idea to sit out under the shade while typing on her laptop. Doing any type of work while watching the rain simmer in anyone's mind is always peaceful so there is nothing wrong there. Suddenly, loud noises from a broken down truck emerges when pulling up to the side. Kinzie seeing the truck holding her super learning computer as she looks up.
Kinzie: [put her computer down and stood up]
Isabella: [put the truck in park] Your computer has been delivered!
Kinzie: Aww, man…
Isabella: [hopped out] So you're set right?
Kinzie: Almost… I need a chair…
Isabella: I'll give you fifty bucks, pick out a nice one…
Kinzie: Funny… I'll explain it all once this thing's set up… Thanks Boss…
Isabella: Hey, anytime!
The ginger haired girl saw a couple of flowers in the front seat and asked the Boss who was it for. Isabella blushes and responded for saying, "Do not worry about it. Focus on getting that thing working, ok?" With that, she ordered Pierce to help Kinzie out with the heavy load as the Boss called an Uber in Salander. Arriving at Bridgeport and being dropped off at Stillport Emergency Hospital, Isabella held the flowers tightly in her hand when entering in the building. Persuading the woman who was working the reception area was a no-brainer, and made sure that she will receive the best sex of all time from a popular gang leader.
In Room D19, Isabella walks in and sees her daughter, Vanessa, sleeping uncomfortably in a chair next to Shaundi, and seeing Shaundi with her eyes closed. Fortunately, she'd woke up at the right time to witness the Boss coming through the door.
Shaundi: Boss…
Isabella: [smile] Hey, Shaundi…
Shaundi: You've done good things having kids who appreciate you…
Isabella: [chuckles] Vanessa is an oddball, she acts more like you back in the day…
Shaundi: Yeah, that's the thing… She does…
Walking to the side of her death bed, Isabella grabs a vase full of dead flowers, dumping them in the trash, and replacing the new ones that she bought.
Isabella: [blushes] Remember how I said I'd buy you flowers to make up for what I put you through with Josh…? And also, I'm sorry for getting the helicopter to crash…
Shaundi: [grunt painfully to hold her hand] Tell me why… are you apologizing again? Because you haven't done anything wrong at all…
Isabella: I almost got you killed… twice on the same week…
Shaundi: Twice? The helicopter, sure… but Birk? You haven't-
She noticed the Boss's tears were falling down from her cheeks, and was shocked to find her vulnerable.
Isabella: It was when… I handed Josh over to you, and STAG immediately opened fire on my home… Molly turned out fine but… [sniffle]
Shaundi: [squeezes her hand gently] Look at me Boss, listen… I knew what I signed up for when I first joined the Saints… This is nothing but a walk in the park, ok? Don't cry for things turning out the way it did… I'm fine, your daughters are fine, and your home has some damage… but nothing a little quick fix with money involved comes along…
Isabella: [laughs when wiping tears]
Isabella leaned over, kissing Shaundi on the forehead, and walked over to Vanessa to shake her up gently. She woke up although groggily looking. Overstaying her welcome, Vanessa popped her neck quickly and headed out the door.
Isabella: I'll come back to visit you…
Shaundi: [smiles] I'd love that…
As for that, Isabella took Vanessa home, and headed back to Salander to do a couple of quick activities… for getting rid of every single Decker that marks Kinzie's territory.
To Be Continued…
