A/N: This includes my version of the conversation between Hank and ASA Chapman from the episode of PD that aired on 2-28-24. Amanda is still with SVU, Ed Tucker is still alive and Hailey is not leaving Intelligence. There will be a second part to this. I don't own any of the characters except my own.

SVU and OCCB from New York had gone to Chicago, since Intelligence had gotten a case that involved the other two units. Olivia was glad to be there, so she could spend some time with Hank but unfortunately for the two of them, Elliot was there too. Ever since Elliot had come back to the NYPD and found out that Olivia was involved with Hank, he's been trying to keep them apart and so far, he had been unsuccessful. The thing that Elliot didn't know was that Olivia and Hank have been in a long distance marriage for close to a year. The only people that knew were both squads and of course the family. Ayanna also knew, since she and Olivia had become good friends and both she and Kate Dixon had been invited to the wedding. For the time being, neither Hank nor Olivia wore their wedding bands at work.
They had gotten their perp and ASA Chapman had been there. Elliot couldn't help but notice the way she was looking at Hank. She had no idea that Hank was even involved with someone. Elliot was on the verge of losing his temper but his anger was directed towards Hank and not the perp. He hated that Olivia was with Hank and she had been at Hank's side ever since they had arrived in Chicago, which pissed him off even more. He nearly blew the case for everyone and Ayanna had already given him an earful about his behavior even before they left New York. Olivia, Trudy, Ayanna, Fin and Hailey were in Hank's office after everyone, including ASA Chapman had left.
"I am so sorry about Detective Stabler."
"I understand. Believe me. He's only acting that way because of me. He hates that Olivia is with me and he wants somethin' he can't have."
"I don't know how many times I need to tell him that I'm happy. Hank and I knew things were going to get harder after we got married but he couldn't just leave Chicago. He had to make sure whoever was taking over was ready. I wouldn't just up and leave and expect Fin to be able to immediately take over SVU."
"I appreciate that, Liv. You leavin'?"
"No. Hank is retiring in a few weeks and you already know that."
"I'm just playin' with you, Liv. You know that. Has Stabler once asked you what you've been through in the time he was gone?"
"Nope. Every conversation has been about him. I'm sorry but what happened to Kathy should not have even been SVU's case in the first place, so I don't even know why I was contacted in the first place. He claims he wanted the best working on it. It was probably an excuse for him to see me, so I would know he was back. Why made him think I even cared he was back? I outgrew him years ago."
"He never listens. I told him that I didn't want him coming to Chicago because I knew he would try to start something with Hank."
"I feel sorry for anyone that has to work with that Stabler guy.
"I was partners with him for over a decade. It is what it is. Most of the time lately it goes in one ear and out the other. If it's not about him, he doesn't want to hear about it."
"The going in one ear and out the other thing is typical for him though. He still does whatever he wants."
"He's always been that way. I was never a fan of his. I wanted to be transferred out of SVU but Cragen never approved the transfer."
"I asked for a new partner multiple times. I was upset when he just up and left and it did take a while for me to get used to both Nick Amaro and Rollins. I meant what I said to Nick. I did grow more with him than I ever did with Elliot. Cragen has even said the same thing."
"It just seems like Elliot needs to take all the credit whenever he's involved with a case."
"Why do you think I suggested someone from all 3 squads were in the Interrogation Room."
"I think he thinks he's going be promoted at some point."
"Ed Tucker said there is no way in hell Elliot would ever be promoted. I did ask him about that. When Nick Amaro said he wanted to become my Sergeant when Fin first said he didn't want it, I told Ed that. He said even if Amaro got a perfect score on the exam, he would not be promoted. I later asked him about Elliot and he said there was no way in hell. He and Amaro have at least worked out their differences. Elliot still holds a grudge and doesn't understand why I was in a relationship with Ed but won't be with him. Maybe that's because Ed has changed in the time I have known him and Elliot is more selfish than ever. If I wasn't with Hank, I probably would have gone for Trevor Langan. My relationship with him has changed over the years too. He was after all the lawyer that helped me get Noah. Elliot doesn't understand how I can be friends with Langan either. Elliot just doesn't like that there are other men in my life. He thinks he should be the only one."
"Hell, if I was into men, I'd go for Langan."
"Trevor invited me to that adoption function and I went with him but I made sure he understood that it was only as friends. He understood that and he and Hank get along. He handled the paperwork when Hank wanted to officially adopt Noah. Ed accepts Hank in my life and they get along better than I ever expected them to. Honestly, I'd rather have the two of them in my life than Elliot any day and before Elliot left, I never would have said that."
"Tucker definitely seems like he's not the same person he once was."
"He's not."
"To be honest, I noticed a difference in him after that case involvin' his cousin."
"I hear the same thing from Rollins and Carisi all the time too. He basically started respecting SVU more after that but he saw what we were capable of during that case involving Deputy Commissioner Abraham. He started respecting me more after what happened with Lewis."
"So, Detective Upton, are you ready to take over for Hank?"
"I think so. I do appreciate Sarge not leaving right away after he and Captain Benson got married."
"I think you're ready. I'm more than ready to retire. To be honest, I was ready to retire after Noah was kidnapped and I probably should have. If I had, chances are what happened to Al never would have happened. Antonio was more than ready to take over. When he went to the State's Attorney's office to be a Special Investigator for Stone, I told him he deserved to lead his own unit. After Erin left, Antonio came back because the other position didn't work out but Stone ended up leavin' Chicago."
"As much as I didn't like Peter when he first came to New York, mainly because he wasn't Barba, I grew to like him and was sad when he left. I wish he hadn't but I'm glad Carisi is getting the chance now. Rollins wasn't happy with that but at least they finally admitted their feelings for each other. When you and Phoebe were supposed to get married and Elliot showed up, he asked me how you and Phoebe met. I told him she was your first partner and he was like, 'really?'. I was very much with Hank and I do wish Hank had been there but I know things get crazy here too, which is why he missed it. I'm just glad I was talking to Hank when I was in the accident on the way home."
"He was the one that called me after he got a location on where you were."
"All that was because of Elliot, since it involved the Wheatleys. As soon as Hank knew what was going on, he flew out to New York to help take care of me and stayed for several weeks after my surgery. Olive and Daniel had come out and stayed a couple weeks, so Hank could come back here. After Olive and Daniel went home, Erin took care of me. My squad and Carisi were always around and Lucy was around quite a bit too, so I am grateful for the number of people I had taking care of me after my accident and surgery. On top of that, Trudy checked in with me all the time and if Hank was here, he would check in and everyone would say hi. I don't blame Carisi but how the Wheatleys got away with all that is beyond me."
"We're still trying to figure that one out and a part of me thinks Elliot was somehow involved in what happened to them."
"Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. Elliot was pissed that I worked things out with Barba for defending Wheatley. Barba has been a better friend than Elliot has even after leaving the DA's office. I've told Elliot multiple times that I will offer support in his loss but not in the capacity he wants. If he can't accept that, then he won't be in my life at all. It's his loss and not mine. I was much happier before he came back."
"Even I've noticed that. When you've had to deal with him, you seem to need to vent a lot more than you used to."
"And I appreciate you listening to me bitch about him. Sometimes talking to someone who's not directly involved in the situation helps. I can only vent to Fin and Rollins so much."
"Vent to me all you want, Liv. Instead of askin' you, he asked me about how many relationships you were in since he left. This was before Kathy died. I think he was waitin' for her to die, so he could hook up with you. How messed up is that?"
"I don't doubt that for a minute."
"Rollins said she wouldn't be surprised if he was somehow involved in what happened to Kathy to get her out of the way. She's been suspicious of him since he came into the Precinct but she didn't want to say anything, since she didn't want you pissed at her. Could he have been workin' with Angela?"
"Anything is possible. I don't hear from him for a decade and all of a sudden he's back in New York. He can only contact me when he needs something? I'm sorry but that should not have been our case. It should have been something OCCB investigated or the FBI should have been involved."
"If that had happened here, it probably would have been something we investigated. A part of me still wants to blame Stabler for you being shot too. Just about everything bad that has happened to you lately has been since he's been back in your life. The BX9 thing wasn't though but everything else was. I don't want to blame him but you can't blame me for being suspicious. I don't trust the guy. I thought I had anger issues when it came to perps but at least I've been tryin' to be better."
"He's gotten worse and I don't doubt that he was directing most his anger at you. When he was in the Interrogation Room when he was first back, he promised me that he was going to behave. All of a sudden he is rolling up his sleeves and getting into the perp's face. I didn't tolerate that with you and certainly don't tolerate that from him. I got him out of there and then I heard about it from Garland. Elliot said he'd deal with Garland and I told him I could handle my boss. I know you've been better."
"He has. We've all had our moments at one time or another. What happened to Al was all on Woods. He got what he deserved."
"Yeah, he did but unfortunately it wasn't enough to save Al."
"I won't let you down."
"I know you won't. Have you talked to Halstead at all?"
"Not Jay but I talked to Will. He said he didn't blame me for filing for a divorce. He has not heard from Jay either. He did say that he and Natalie got married just before Christmas and are expecting a baby already. Owen is looking forward to becoming a big brother. Will wants to adopt Owen and I guess Helen is ok with that. A part of me wishes I had gotten pregnant but then again, who knows if that would have gotten Jay to stay. The thing is, a part of me still loves him and always will. Is it wrong of me to feel that way?"
"Not at all. I hear the same thing from Erin all the time. She still cares about him and Severide. She was fine when Jay told her the two of you were together and she's glad that Kidd and Severide are happy."
"Erin was pretty supportive when I told her what Jay had done. She and I have been talking quite a bit lately. How do I know that he was even faithful to me before we divorced? I don't."
"You don't. That's just it. Hank and I understand what you were going through, since we've been navigating long distance for quite a while now but if you really, truly love each other, you find ways to make it work. No matter how busy we get, we always find a way to make time for each other, whether it be a quick text or sometimes I call Hank on my way to the Precinct in the morning. Sometimes Noah talks to him more than I do. If I'm stuck at work because of a case, Noah will call him or he'll call Noah."
"Do you still have your nanny?"
"I'm giving him a little more independence if it's only for a few hours. He usually gets a ride to dance class from his friend's mom and she will also take him home if I can't get there. I just want him to let me know when he gets home. He knows not to answer the door for anyone. He starts dinner. He's gotten really good with spaghetti and meatballs. Hank taught him how to make meatballs, so he likes to do that. He knew I was coming to Chicago, so since Rollins stayed in New York with Velasco, he'll stay with her and Carisi. I was ok with her not coming because of the baby. Ed is around, so he'll check on him too."
"Phoebe will check on him too."
"I don't doubt that."
"Is Erin not around now?"
"She's working on this huge case out of town and I think she is out of the country. She left at the beginning of last week I think it was and said she'd be gone a while, so she wanted me to check her mail. Rollins was going to do that while I was here."
"That'll do it. I just want her to be safe too. She may not be blood but I love her like she was my daughter."
"I do too."
"You're a much better influence on her than Bunny ever was. Let's just say I was not surprised when she died of an overdose."
"Jay said the same thing."
"All the squads seemed to get along pretty well."
"Yes, they did."
"Jet reminds me of someone what used to work with my unit as a tech person."
"Mouse?"
"Yep."
"Who's this?"
"He wasn't a cop but he was a friend/CI of Halstead, one of my former Detectives. He could hack into someone's security camera and find out whatever we needed to know."
"What happened to him?"
"He reenlisted in the Army Rangers."
"Oh, wow!"
"That's what Jay ended up doing too but didn't discuss it with me."
"That's horrible."
"At least he didn't leave without saying goodbye to you or give you some half assed excuse like Elliot have me that if he had heard my voice, he wouldn't have left. Sorry but I wouldn't be with him even if he had stayed and divorced Kathy. I wish he had never come back."
"Me too, Liv.
"I'm not so sure I liked the way ASA Chapman was looking at you."
"We work together. I didn't mind when Peter seemed to have developed feelings for you and we weren't even married yet. The only guy I have a problem with is Stabler. He's been tryin' to come between us ever since his wife died. Ever since we got together, I've been committed to you and only you."
"I'm only committed to you too."
"Then don't doubt me when I tell you I'm not interested in anyone but you. I take my marriage vows seriously."
"I do too but some people don't care. You also mourned Camille and weren't admitting your feelings for someone else as soon as she died."
"Because that wasn't me. A part of me is always gonna love her and you understand that."
"I don't want to lose you."
"You don't think I worry about you when we're not together? At least I know Fin looks out for you."
"Damn right!"
"If Patty works nights, Ed is usually hanging out with us. Her sons would rather send time with their friends than their stepfather."
"And I appreciate that. We seem to get along pretty well."
"Yes, you do."
"I gotta admit that Carisi is a really good dad."
"Amanda has no complaints. He loves the girls and they love him. Declan sees Jesse as much as he can now that he's here more, which Amanda is happy with. She wishes she could say the same for Dr. Al. He just doesn't want to be bothered. He doesn't support Billie but he won't surrender his rights to her. She's just glad she did it right this time and I am so happy for her."
"I'm happy for both of you. You and Voight make a good team."
"We do, don't we?"
Everyone got their jackets and headed out. Hank and Olivia went to the house, Trudy and Hailey headed home and both Fin and Ayanna headed to their hotel. As soon as Hank and Olivia arrived at the house, they went up to the bedroom and made love. Afterwards they were holding each other for a while and then Olivia fell asleep. Hank decided he was going to fix something for dinner. He got up, got dressed and headed downstairs to start dinner. Nina had texted him and asked if he wanted to meet her for a drink. He decline and said he already has plans. After a while, Olivia got up and smelled dinner. She got up, put some clothes on and headed downstairs as well.
"Hey."
"Hey, yourself. How was your nap?"
"It was great. I think I needed the sleep. I always sleep better when I'm with you. I cannot wait until we are in the same city and the same house."
"I can't wait either. Just a few more weeks."
"What's wrong? Are you having second thoughts about this?"
"Not at all. Nina texted me and asked if I wanted to meet her for a drink later. I declined and said I already had plans."
"If I wasn't here, would you have gone?"
"Nope. I happen to be completely devoted to you."
"I think Nina is as bad as Elliot. Neither one seems to know how to take no for an answer."
Olivia's phone rang and she noticed it was Fin, so she answered it. He wanted to know if they wanted to meet the rest of them at Molly's later. She asked Hank and he said it was fine. Olivia hung up and then they ate dinner. After dinner, they checked in with Amanda and Noah, Olivia freshened up a little bit and they both put their rings on before they headed to Molly's. When they got there, Ayanna, Jet, Fin and Hank's squad were all there. Trudy and the group from 51 was also there. Elliot was there too but he was sitting at the bar by himself. He saw Hank and Olivia come in hand in hand and glared at Hank.
"Look who's here."
"He better behave."
"He was here when we got here. He's no doubt feeling sorry for himself. Thankfully he's supposed to be going undercover again."
"Too bad he wasn't undercover when this case came up."
"Yeah, no kidding."
"I am so glad he was undercover when Hank and I got married."
"He probably would have tried to stop the wedding otherwise."
"I may have played a big part in that."
"You're a sneaky one, Ayanna Bell."
"Sometimes you have to be when it comes to him. I didn't want him to cause a scene."
"Thank you."
"Sure."
"I owe you big time for that."
"No, you don't."
"Liv, how long are you stayin'?"
"Through the weekend. I already talked to Rollins. We called her and talked to Noah before we came here. He knows we need some alone time."
"How much longer are you working, Hank?"
"Just a few more weeks."
"And I can't wait to have my man with me all the time."
"I'm lookin' forward to not havin' to do this everyday."
"Fin, how's Phoebe?"
"She's doin' good. I miss her."
Stella came over with a Manhattan for Hank and a glass of wine for Olivia.
"Thanks, Stella."
"No problem."
"You two must come in here a lot."
"They know our drink order."
"This is a nice bar."
"It's mostly cops, firefighters and the doctors and nurses from Med that come here. Stella Kidd is the Lieutenant on Truck 81 at Firehouse 51. Her husband Kelly Severide is the Lieutenant on Squad 3. Christopher Herrmann is the Lieutenant on Engine 51. Joe Cruz is on Squad 3. Darren Ritter is on Engine 51. Violet Mikami is the PIC on Ambulance 61. Sam Carver is on Truck 81. Capp and Tony are also on Squad 3. Trudy's husband Randall McHolland or Mouch is on Truck 81. Wallace Boden is a Deputy District Chief."
"Mouch?"
"His favorite spot is on the couch in front of the TV at the fire station and at home too. Mouch stands for half man and half couch."
"Ok."
"He was talkin' about losin' the Mouch nickname but Boden talked him out of it. He is Mouch to everyone."
"Was he at the wedding with you?"
"He was but I don't think we actually met until this case."
"That was on us. Sorry."
"That's ok. You had other things to worry about."
Hank took Ayanna around and introduced her to all the firefighters that were there. Dr. Charles came in and said hello to everyone before sitting at the bar by Elliot. Hank and Ayanna had come back over to the table.
"Who's that?"
"That is Dr. Daniel Charles, the head of Psychiatry at Chicago Med."
"Well, he sure picked the right person to sit next too."
Olivia couldn't help but laugh. Everyone talked for a while and Hank and Olivia would occasionally kiss each other, which they knew was probably pissing Elliot off but neither of them cared. After staying for a while Elliot decided to leave. He walked by the table where Hank and Olivia were and called Hank an asshole under his breath. Hank heard what he said and stood up.
"You got a problem, Detective?"
"Yeah, I have a problem. You."
"Then say it to my face."
"I have been in love with Liv for 25 years. I should be the one with her and not you."
"She's a grown woman and she can make her own decisions."
"She makes horrible decisions when it comes to her relationships. The fact that she's been with Tucker and she's with you just proves that. She needs a real man and that sure as hell isn't you."
"Oh, no?"
"Elliot, don't flatter yourself."
"Stay out of this, Liv."
Olivia rolled her eyes.
"Don't tell me to stay out of it. I am quite capable of making my own decisions. How many times do I need to tell you that I don't want to be with you?"
"You're lying. I know you love me."
Olivia put her hand in Elliot's face.
"Hank and I are married and have been for close to a year."
Olivia could see the anger in Elliot's eyes and all of a sudden he punched Hank in the face.
"Two can play this game."
Hank punched Elliot in the stomach and then they took it outside. Olivia, Ayanna, Jet, Fin, Hank's squad and some of the firefighters went after them to try to break it up.
"Stay away from Liv!"
"It's me she wants. Not you."
"That's bullshit! Liv doesn't know what she wants and I can guarantee your marriage or whatever it is won't last. I should just put a bullet in your head right now."
"What's stoppin' you?"
"Elliot, just stop it right now!"
"He started it."
"You started it. You attacked Hank because you're not getting your way. Ever since you came back to the NYPD, you have caused me nothing but grief. You throw a temper tantrum when you don't get your way."
"I need you, Liv. I can't do this alone."
"You know what, you have to accept that I'm with Hank and that I'm not interested in you romantically or there is no place for you in my life."
"What can he give you that I can't?"
"He's been more supportive of me in the time that we've known each other than you ever were. No matter where we are in our relationship and in spite of the fact that he's here and I'm in New York, he's always there for me. He knows about everything I have been through and he doesn't make everything about himself the way you do. He respects me and he listens to what I have to say but most importantly, he loves my son and doesn't judge him for his choices. You come back only when you need something from me, you only care when it benefits you and you act like there is something wrong with Noah for wanting to be an dancer."
"I never said a word."
"You didn't have to. Your actions every time I have mentioned it speak for themselves. Hank has been there for every one of his recitals and supports him."
"Leave it to you to raise a little pansy. You're too soft with him. He needs to be toughened up. If I was his father, he'd be in Military School."
"You did not just call our son a pansy.
This time Olivia punched Elliot in the nose and Hank gave him another punch in the stomach.
"Don't you ever call my son that again. Thankfully you will never be his father because I would never bring someone into his life, who would bully him and based on your comments, you would. A good father supports their kids no matter what they choose to do. I've had people, including Cragen, tell me that I grew in the time you were gone. As difficult as it was for me to accept that you had left, I'm actually glad you left and honestly, I wish you had never come back. I'm having a hard time being able to forgive you for the 10 years you were gone and I won't ever forgive you for what you said about my son."
"I'm here now, Liv and my feelings for you are very real. No one could possibly love you as much as I do."
"Did you even hear a word I said? Hank and I love each other very much and we have worked hard to be where we are in our relationship. Stay the hell out of my life and away from my family. Do you hear me?"
"Oh and Detective, by the way, you are suspended until further notice and then if you are reinstated, you will going undercover indefinitely but until you will be allowed to return, you need therapy to work on your issues. I take everything you said about Noah personally. I want you to listen for once in your life and stay away from Captain Benson and her family. I specifically remember warning you about your behavior towards Sergeant Voight before we left New York but obviously you only hear what you want to."
"I can't stay away from her, Ayanna. I just can't."
"Well, you're gonna have to. I want your gun and badge. Internal Affairs will be made aware of this, so don't think you're gonna get away with it."
Elliot handed Ayanna his gun and badge and then Fin got into his face.
"It's my job to not only protect my Captain and friend but also her family. I'm tellin' you this right now, Stabler, that if you come near her or her family again and I find out about it, which I will, I'll kick your ass. Don't ever call Noah that again! You got it, dumb ass?"
"Captain, Sarge, you pressin' charges?"
"Yes!"
A patrol unit arrived and took Elliot into custody and took him back to the District. Violet checked Hank out and gave him an ice pack for his face and Olivia one for her hand. She also bandaged his forehead but suggested he might need stitches. Everyone went back inside and Hank apologized for his behavior.
"Hank, you ok, Buddy?"
"Yeah, Dan, I'm fine. Thanks."
"Who was that?"
"That was Olivia's former partner."
"Oh, the one that left for 10 years?"
"Yep. That's the one."
They told Dan what had happened and what Elliot said about Noah. Dan said he noticed that Elliot seemed to have a lot of anger and would speak to him. He agreed with Ayanna about suggesting therapy for his issues, especially regarding his comments toward Noah, before being reinstated. He told Ayanna that he helps CPD out quite a bit and he talks with the members of the Intelligence Unit all the time.
"The Desk Sergeant at the 1-6 will be told not to let Detective Stabler up to SVU and he is already on the list of people not allowed to be let in at our condo. He doesn't know where we moved to but he could easily find that out. Him showing up at my apartment while he was drugged could have put me and my son in danger but obviously he only cares about himself. I love that we can let them know if we are expecting someone or if someone just shows up, they call up to see if the person can be let in."
"Was Elliot the reason you moved?"
"Partially but it also had to do with what happened with the BX9 last year. Honey, we should go to the hospital."
"Ok."
Hank and Olivia said goodbye everyone and then Olivia took him to Med to get stitches.
"I thought Voight had a temper on him but Stabler is a lot worse."
"Stabler has been nothin' but angry since his wife was killed. I just can't believe he said what he said about Noah to Liv's face."
"That's for sure."
"Sarge goes out there for as many of Noah's recitals as he can and even though none of us have gone, he has showed us the videos. Little dude is good. What's so bad about that? I gotta worry about my little brother joinin' a gang and I'm a cop. I get target by racist cops for doin' the right thing but did I let them control me? Hell no!"
"You said it, man!"
"I get it too but I get it a lot worse. I've got 3 things against me. I've worked very hard to be where I'm at and I know Captain Benson and Lieutenant Dixon have too. Detective Slootmaekers, Detective Rollins, Sergeant Platt and Detective Upton have as well as I'm sure Lieutenant Kidd has. Both professions are male dominated. There's another female in your unit too, right?"
"Officer Burgess."
"Her too and Agent Lindsay has been through a lot as well."
"Yeah, she has."
"Cragen knew what he was doin' when he left Liv in charge after he left. That's all I gotta say."
"I gotta get home and check on my girls."
"Tell Burgess and Mak I hope they feel better."
"Thanks, Kev. I will do that. Sergeant Bell and Detective Slootmaekers, it was nice workin' with you."
"You too, Officer Ruzek."
"See ya, Fin."
"You too, man."
Adam left and headed home.
"When you headin' back to New York?"
"Tomorrow afternoon. I would love to see some of the city though."
"Me too."
"Contact Sarge. He'll probably be off anyway."
"Maybe I'll text Olivia to see if he's up to it. Detective Stabler needs to be locked up for a while, so he can think about what he said."
"Definitely. That was uncalled for. You did tell him to behave before we even left New York."
"I did and I am done with his temper. I will be calling Captain Curry when I get back."
"Which you have every right to do."
Everyone left and headed wherever they were going. Once Hank had a few stitches put in his forehead, he and Olivia headed home. By the time they got to the house, they both got ready for bed. They were both in bed with their glasses on looking at their respective phones.
"Honey, you look so sexy in your glasses."
"So do you, Babe."
"You have no idea how turned on I am right now."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Oh, yeah!"
Olivia put her phone and glasses on one side of the bed, while Hank put his on the other. They started kissing and then they made love. Afterwards they were holding each other.
"I'm sorry I fought with him."
"I'm not. I knew you wouldn't take any crap from him and you were defending me. I'm not sorry I hit him for what he said about our son. He just can't get it though that big head of his that I don't want to be with him. I'm just sorry I compared you to him when we first met."
"Don't be. I know what I did then was wrong and I am tryin' to be a better person for you and Noah."
"I love you so much."
"I love you too."
"Ayanna wants to know if you can show her and Jet the city."
"I can do that."
Olivia texted Ayanna back and then she and Hank kissed again before then they fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, Hank woke up and thought he heard the doorbell. Olivia was still sound asleep. He got out of bed and put some clothes on before he went downstairs. It was ASA Chapman.
"Morning, Hank."
"Is there somethin' you needed?"
"I brought you coffee."
"I don't have much time but come in."
Nina came in and then they went into the livingroom.
"Hank, I'm trying to figure you out."
"Me? Why?"
"I wonder if you want to be on this island of yours by yourself. I like you, Hank and I want to get to know you better but you keep pushing me away."
Before Hank could answer, he heard Olivia.
"HONEY, WHERE'D YOU DISAPPEAR TO?"
Olivia came downstairs only wearing one of Hank's T-shirts. Nina looked a little shocked by what she saw. She had no idea that Hank was involved with Olivia.
"I didn't know you two were involved."
"Actually, we're married. What brings you here, Ms. Chapman?"
"She asked if I want to be on my island by myself. She likes me and wants to get to know me better."
"Actually, no, he doesn't want to be on his island by himself. We are on our island together. Besides, he's not interested."
"I thought you were with Detective Stabler."
"That's what he'd like to think too. I wouldn't be with him if he was the only man on earth mainly because he has too much ego for me. The only thing you can do for us is to make sure that Elliot Stabler stays the hell away from us."
"What do you want me to do about it, Captain?"
"He assaulted Hank last night and now he's locked up. He also threatened to shoot him in the head and he called our son a pansy. He is a threat to our family. If you don't want to help us, then find us an Assistant State's Attorney that will."
"I will help with that and I apologize to both of you."
"Apology accepted."
"Thank you. Can you tell me what happened?"
Hank and Olivia told Nina what happened at Molly's.
"So, he hit you right after Olivia told him you were married?"
"Yep. I did hit him back in the stomach but I was defending my wife from this guy who is obsessed with her. He said what he said about Noah and this time we both hit him. Olivia punched him in the nose and I punched him in the stomach again."
"Sergeant Bell said he is suspended until further notice and said before he is reinstated, he needs therapy to deal with his issues. I know Detective Stabler better than most people because of the length of time we worked together but ever since his wife was killed and he found out that I was in a relationship with Hank, he's been very angry. He throws a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way. He almost blew our case because of his anger towards Hank."
"I did notice that he was getting into the suspect's face in the Interrogation Room."
"Elliot seems to like to take all the credit for cases he is involved with and that was also the reason why Officer Atwater and Sergeant Tutuola were in there with him. Sergeant Bell said she spoke to Detective Stabler about his behavior towards Hank when they were leaving for Chicago and yet he still started something."
"Was Detective Stabler intoxicated at the time?"
"When the others got to Molly's, they said he was there when they got there."
"What about you, Hank?"
"I drank part of my Manhattan and that was all I had. You may wanna ask any of the ones from Firehouse 51 how many drinks he had."
The doorbell rang again, so Hank got up to answer it. It was Trudy with Fin, Ayanna, Jet, Stella and Kelly.
"Hey."
"Hey. Come on in."
"Thanks."
The 6 of them came in.
"Morning."
"Morning, everyone."
"Ms. Chapman."
"Lieutenant. Lieutenant. Sergeant. Sergeant. Detective. Lieutenant Kidd, were you working at Molly's last night?"
"I was."
"How much would you say Detective Stabler had to drink?"
"Maybe 4 beers or more from what I could tell. Herrmann was waiting on him.
"The BAC on the report was over 0.10."
Trudy handed Nina the copy of the report.
"May I keep this?"
"Sure."
"Can I get a copy of that as well? It's gonna have to go in his file with IAB."
"Yeah, sure."
"Thank you."
"Nice outfit, Liv."
"Thank you."
Olivia rolled her eyes at Fin. Everyone else told Nina what they saw and then Stella and Kelly left. Nina left as well and Trudy headed to the District.
"I knew we should have left Stabler in New York."
"Maybe now Stabler is gonna realize there are people who ain't gonna take any shit from him."
"Maybe. Fin, I appreciate what you said to him last night."
"I didn't say nothin' that wasn't true."
"I know. I meant what I said to him. I wish he had never come back."
"I don't blame you for feelin' that way, baby girl. He's done nothin' but try to ruin the best relationship you've ever had."
"True."
"He's probably not happy that I am going to IAB with this but he needs to learn that there are going to be consequences for his actions. Even though we were working in another city, he was still representing the NYPD but his behavior did not reflect that."
"Too bad Tucker is no longer with IAB. He'd have a field day with this."
"No kidding. If it was up to him, he would not have allowed Elliot to return to the NYPD."
"I had heard Detective Stabler had a reputation of being a hot head but this is ridiculous."
"Have you two had breakfast yet?"
"No but we need to get in the shower."
"We'll wait."
Hank and Olivia went upstairs to take a shower and then once they were ready, the 5 of them went out for breakfast. After breakfast, they stopped at the District. They went up to Intelligence.
"Hey, Boss. How you doin'?"
"Better. How are Kim and Makayla?"
"They're better but still kind of weak. They've got some kind of stomach bug. Mak is sleepin' in our bed with Kim and I've been in Mak's room. Kim's hopin' to be back next week."
"No rush."
"Stabler was formally charged and has arraignment tomorrow."
"We talked to Chapman this mornin'."
"He keeps saying he's innocent though and intends to fight the charges. He said he was provoked. He said if he's being charged, you should be too."
"He's full of it. He's the one that started it. These 3 talked to Chapman and so did Platt, Kidd and Severide."
"We all did too."
"The fact that his BAC was 0.10 doesn't help."
"No, it does not. Sergeant Bell, ASA Chapman left this for you."
"Thank you."
Hailey handed the report to Ayanna.
"We should probably go if you want that tour of the city before you head to the airport. Unless you absolutely need me for somethin', don't call me. I get very little time with my wife as it is."
"We'll be fine. If we need someone to approve something, we'll call Platt."
"I'm sure she'll be thrilled about that."
Everyone said their goodbyes and then Hank, Olivia, Fin, Ayanna and Jet left. They all got into Hank's SUV and Hank took them around the city. Hank then dropped them off at the District, so the 3 of them could head to the airport, while Hank and Olivia grabbed a bite to eat before they headed home. When they got to the house, they made love and then they fell asleep for a while. They decided to go out for pizza for dinner and then they video chatted with Noah.
The next day, Elliot was arraigned and pled not guilty, so there would be a trial. ASA Chapman knew Elliot was a flight risk, so she asked that his passport be surrendered. Elliot glared at Hank and Olivia almost the entire time and that did not go unnoticed by the Judge. Elliot's attorney said all the charges were ridiculous because his Client was provoked. ASA Chapman told the Judge what prompted the attack and that he had also threatened to shoot Sergeant Voight. The Judge suggested a Restraining Order but Elliot would be held until the trial as he took threats to a law enforcement officer by another law enforcement officer seriously and he didn't care which department the officers were with.
After the arraignment, Hank and Olivia went home and she called Ayanna to let her know what was going on. The rest of the day, Hank and Olivia spent alone but she had checked in with Fin and later Noah. The rest of the weekend went by too quickly for them. Hank took Olivia to the airport and they said their goodbyes. They only had a few more weeks until Hank was retiring and leaving Chicago for good.
