Summary: Post- Sasuke Arc. Minato survives the Kyūbi attack because Kushina sacrficed herself instead of Minato. A few weeks after the attack, his sister, Namikaze Kaiya, a single woman who became pregnant around the same time and had a child, died. He was left alone to raise Naruto and his niece, Raiya. After the Sasuke, Naruto leaves on his training trip and Raiya, well... she does something similar. Naruto doesn't return in time to save Gaara and the team doesn't either. One person comes and saves Gaara, guess who.

Minato was walking through Konoha in his Hokage attire without the hat, he despised it, when his deceased loving wife, Uzumaki Kushina, was alive she said it looked odd on him. Even his sochi(son) said it looked wrong on him, with his mei(niece) going as far as to say that he looked horrible, and his hair looked really funny. The reason he was walking through the village was that he was going to the hospital, his sochi had been injured when he was bringing Sasuke back to the village. While the Uchiha massacre did happen, Itachi only killed the adults, other than pregnant woman, the elderly, and his mother, and spared the children. When the information was released to the public, the Uchiha were not extremely hated but their reputation had begun to diminish. Sasuke was planning to defect from the village in order to gain power to kill Itachi. Minato partially blamed himself for not being able to prevent the massacre from happening.
Let's get back on track, Minato had walked into the hospital and asked for his sochi's room, Naruto didn't have one, Minato became slightly confused, he knew the village hated Naruto, and it was very bad back when he was younger, but the hospital should have at least given him a room. That's when he heard a familiar voice.
"Yondaime-sama, are you looking for Naruto?" asked a girlish voice. Minato turned around to see it was Naruto's only female teammate, Sakura.
"Hello Sakura, could you tell me where Naruto is?" asked Minato.
"The baka is with Kakashi-sensei in his hospital room, Room 291, I have to go home now, but have a good day Yondaime-sama," answered Sakura before she walked towards the door of the hospital and left.
Sakura had known Naruto since they were kids, Mebuki and Minato began to talk and let their kids spend time together ever since Kushina had died. Instead of Minato preforming the Shiki Fūjin(Death Reaper Seal) and getting stabbed by the Kyuubi's nail, Kushina had pushed Minato out of the way and preformed the seal herself while smiling, that smile he remembered it so clearly that day, then a couple of weeks later he had a baby brought to his door, his sister, Namikaze Kaiya, was a single mother and had died on a mission that he had sent her on. Hizashi, Neji's father and a good friend of Minato's had helped him through it and got him back to normal. His friends had been very helpful, especially when it came to Raiya, she did not eat as much as Naruto and he was worried that something was wrong with her, but Akimichi Choza, another good friend of Minato's, said that not even his kid ate as much as Naruto and that Raiya was eating a healthy amount. But Minato was most grateful for his closest and most trusted friend that would always take care of Naruto and Raiya, Uchiha Mikoto, a good friend of Kushina's and they both had gotten close after the Kyuubi attack and the Uchiha a massacre, but Sasuke began to scowl at him ever since the Uchiha massacre.
Now Minato was on the 2nd floor of the hospital in his sochi's room, Naruto was out cold and was hooked up to a machine that Minato didn't recognize. Kakashi was in a chair next to the window that was next to Naruto's hospital bed and Raiya was sitting next to Naruto reading a book to him called, The Journey of the Sun and the Moon.
Raiya was a sun kissed blonde haired girl with hair the spiked up on the top of her head before straightening out as it ran down her back, she had a side bang on the right side of her face similar to Minato's and on her left side, she had hair covering her whole face similar to how Terumi Mei had, she had bangs on her forehead that were similar to Minato's, and the two big bangs were tip with silver and well has the hair that went down her back. Minato had said that she had gotten the silver hair from her father. She wore a very dark sky blue tank top that stopped 2.5 inches from her breast, she had bandages that cover her exposed body, as well as her forearms and legs, a white coat the stopped at her naval with the kanji 銀 狼, this means Gin Ōkami, meaning silver wolf, as her hair would turn silver whenever she was really mad and the spikiness on the top would turn into what looked like two wolf ears and the hair that ran down her back would form in the shape of a wolf tail.
She was wearing black pants and dark blue shinobi sandals, on her back were two custom sword that would cross on her back, like how Sasuke in Shippuden would wear his sword but there was another one facing the opposite direction. Both swords were in black with one of the hand guards representing an orange fox, for the symbol of friendship that she had with Naruto, and the other one was a dark green leaf, for the village. Raiya wore her headband on her forehead just like Naruto and wore black fingerless gloves. Raiya actually had two different colored eyes, the one she showed was blue like Minato's that she had inherited from her mother, while the covered one was amethyst with a slit going through it, they didn't know why that eye was like that, but Minato and everyone else assumed that she got it from her father. Minato had not actually met him before, and he had apparently died before he got the chance to meet him. Raiya looked up from her book and stopped reading before smiling at her uncle.
"Oji-san, did you finish all your work before coming here?" Raiya spoke in a voice that was not too high yet not too low.
"Yes, I did, how is he and what happened?" asked Minato.
"Did you read the report that I sent?" Raiya questioned back.
"I did, but can't I just have a conversation with you?" answered Minato.
"Sure," Raiya said as she pushed a chair next to her and Minato sat down.
"Now tell me what happened my Chīsana ōkami (little wolf)," said Minato.
"Well, I was running towards them after I had finished helping Lee-san with the Kaguya kid and when I got there, I saw Sasuke push a Chidori through Naruto's chest, I moved as fast as I could and got into a taijutsu fight with Sasuke, it was clear that baka still had some fight left in him, I managed to knock him out and place him in a stasis scroll, then that is when Kakashi-nii came and carried Naruto back," explained Raiya with a look that upset Minato.
"Raiya what's wrong?" question Minato.
"I feel really helpless right now, after I came back, I placed seals in Sasuke's hospital room and on Sasuke to keep him from trying to escape, he can't even leave even if the door is open," said Raiya.
"You have done all you can Raiya, you should be proud of yourself don't worry," Minato said as he brought her into a side hug, placing her head underneath his, "Kakashi."
Kakashi looked up at Minato, "Yes Sensei?"
"Raiya is the only one who has given a mission report that is able to, you still have to do it, get up and go do it, as well as help Shikamaru with it," ordered Minato. Kakashi nodded and shunshin out of the room, Minato let go of Raiya.
"My Chīsana ōkami I'm sorry but I have to go and see Sasuke, it's 12:30 right now, when it turns 1:00 come home, or at least spend some time with your other friends," said Minato.
"I don't have friends Oji-san, I was the loner of the class," said Raiya.
"Well then go talk to the genin of your year, I'm sure Naruto has at least tried to make you talk to them," said Minato.
"Yes, he did, but we kind of had a fight after he found out that I was going to be the apprentice of Ryū no Akuma (Dragon Demon), Nagataki Rito," said Raiya.
"Ah yeah, I remember when Rito-san asked for you to be his apprentice, I had asked Jiraiya-sensei to take Naruto on as his apprentice, but he used his spy network, it's his excuse, and it's getting annoying," said Minato as he stood up, "See you when you get home."
"Sayonara (Goodbye) Oji-san," said Raiya.
Minato walked into Sasuke's room and saw the boy looking at the window. Sasuke turned towards Minato and scowled, that scowl slightly hurt Minato, he wanted to be close to the boy who was Fugaku's son, he and Fugaku had a slight rivalry and were great friends, along with Hiashi.
"Kon'nichiwa(hello) Sasuke, how are you?" asked Minato with a kind smile.
"Why are you here, first you trap me in this room, then you come here with that stupid smile," Sasuke spoke darkly.
Minato's smile fell, "Sasuke, I'm curious, why do you hate me so much?"
"Hn," Sasuke grunted.
Minato sighed, "Fine, you will have your shinobi license will be taken from you for a year then you will be given a probationary period, but you won't be aloud outside of the village at all."
Raiya was walking out of the hospital when she spotted Gaara standing outside, he looked like he was waiting for someone.
"Gaara-san," Raiya called out. Gaara looked up and her and gave a small yet visible smile.
"Namikaze-san," Gaara greeted. Raiya karate chop him on the head, and he rubbed it in pain.
"Gaara-san, its Raiya or Rai, not Namikaze, my Oji-san has the same last name as me, anyways what are you doing here?" Raiya asked.
"Raiya-san, I was waiting for Temari, she is with Shikamaru-san and is trying to make him feel better about what happened," answered Gaara.
"I see, walk with me," Raiya said.
Gaara blinked a couple of times before answering, "What?"
"Walk with me Gaara-san, I don't have any friends and I would like to be friends with you," Raiya explained, and they began to walk.
"You do not have friends, but you are not like Me or Uzu-" before Gaara could complete his statement, Raiya glared at him and he changed on what he was going to call Naruto, he did not know why but he felt fear and Shukaku went quiet when she was glaring at him, but Gaara just thinks that it is the fact that she fixed his seal, "I mean Naruto-san, why do you not?"
Raiya sighed, "Well I was the lone wolf of my class, I would talk and answer whenever they talked to me, but Naruto is the only person who is actually my friend, the mostly didn't talk to me since I was the mei(niece) of the Yondaime Hokage."
"You are Naruto-san's cousin, now that I truly think about it, you do look a lot like him, but your personalities are different," said Gaara.
"Naruto inherited Kushina Oba-san's personality, I have my Kaa-san's," Raiya explained.
"It appears so," said Gaara, then gave a slight smirk, "But Naruto-san was trained by his Oto-sama, why does he act so stupid?" Raiya just laughed and they talked for the rest of the time.
A few days have passed since Raiya became friends with Gaara and she had a strange feeling. Minato had been upset on something, but she wasn't able to figure it out, when she did, upset was not the way to describe what she felt. She and Minato were standing at the gate of Konoha with Naruto packed and ready to go on a training trip with Jiraiya, The Toad Sannin. Naruto was wearing black ANBU style pants, a green shirt under short sleeved burnt orange jacket that was unzipped, and black shinobi sandals.
"You take care now sochi, and don't do anything stupid. Sensei, don't go pepping in hot springs all the time and train Naruto, could you please try to teach him Fuinjutsu, he wouldn't try to learn when he was younger and I at least want him to learn it now," said Minato.
"Don't worry Minato, I promise you I will teach him fuinjutsu okay, now we will see you in 3 years," reassured Jiraiya, who waved at the two blondes standing inside the village.
"Bye Orokana kitsune (stupid fox)," Raiya said with a smirk. Naruto was fuming at what she called him and so was the Kyuubi.
Then Naruto smiled, "Bye Bakageta ōkami(dumb wolf), bye Tou-san," then Naruto turned around and ran off, on the ack of his jacket had the kanji 偉大なキツネ, which stood for Idaina kitsune (The Great Fox)."
"Oji-san, when he gets older, make sure he gets called as the Fox Sannin," said Raiya as she turned around to walk home.
"Oh, and why is that?" questioned Minato
"Because then it will make him proud to go up against the Gin Ōkami (silver wolf)," said Raiya as she pointed her thumb towards the Kanji on her jacket.
