AN: Hello.. So..here's the second part finally. I hope you like it..I'm really sorry for taking so long..There will be spoilers again for character deaths, and mentions of s3lf h@rm again, but it isnt bad so dont worry. I hope you enjoy..And happy birthday to my cute blonde baby Naru

It had been a few months since Itachi's birthday, where Sasuke had let out pent up emotioms and then finally visited his parents' graves and made up with them and Itachi, the weight on his chest mostly gone, but now it was October, and even though he was better, things had gotten worse for Naruto.

Naruto had visited Jiraiyas grave some weeks before to honor him on the anniversary of his death, but now it was his birthday and the anniversary of his parents' deaths, and he didn't feel any happiness at all.

As he slowly opened his eyes, he just stared at the ceiling, having been awake for a few hours already, nightmares keeping him up.

He didn't remember his parents' deaths, but the memories of Jiraiya and the few he had gotten of his parents just wouldn't get out of his mind.

After a moment, he glanced over at the raven haired male next to him, who was still asleep, just staring for a moment, focused on his face, trying to get thoughts out of his mind.

When Sasuke slept, he looked so peaceful and relaxed, and Naruto just wished he could be like that again. He had only been having trouble sleeping for a couple of weeks, but he hadn't told Sasuke, not wanting to bother him with it.

Naruto had helped Sasuke through the tough nights he had with nightmares some months before, and he knew Sasuke would be willing to help him now, too, but he just felt bad. Sasuke already had so much on his mind as well, and Naruto didn't want to burden him with it.

After a bit, the blonde sighed and slowly sat up, stretching and rubbing his eyes. He glanced down at his hands and arms, staring at them for a bit. Self harming had always crossed his mind, but he never did it before. He wasn't sure if it would help or not, and he didn't want Sasuke or anyone else to worry.

He tried to get his mind off of it and just stood up with another stretch, knowing Sasuke might be concerned if he saw him up so early, but he just couldn't fall back asleep again.

The blonde then just headed off to the kitchen, still trying to distract himself, just deciding to make something to eat to see if that would help, heating up some ramen. He knew Sasuke didn't like it when he ate it constantly, but it was one of the few things that made him feel better when he was down, so at the moment, he needed it.

He quietly and slowly ate it with some chopsticks, eyes still half closed, bags under them. He was exhausted, but he didn't want another nightmare, so he was trying to force himself to stay awake.

As he ate, he just decided to walk around their apartment, wandering, looking at the pictures on the wall of them and their friends. He paused at one of the frames after a moment, just staring, remembering the exact day it was taken.

They had been out on their first date at the ramen shop, and Teuchi had offered to take a picture of them. Naruto had nodded and jumped from his chair to hug Sasuke before he could even say anything, almost knocking them both over in the process but afterwards, leaving them with the first picture they had smiling together.

Naruto missed the times when he had no care in the world, where he just accepted life and death, but he just had it on his mind so much now, that he couldn't help but get depressed by it.

He didn't understand why he had to lose so many people to find happiness. He just wished he could go back and save them, wishing he could've done something, anything.

He didn't blame Tsunade for letting Jiraiya go off on the mission, and he had forgiven Obito and Kurama and Pain for what they all did, but the one person he just couldn't forgive was himself. He knew he wasn't the cause of any of their deaths, but he still couldn't help but feel responsible, like he could've done something.

He looked away from the photo again, taking a shaky breath as he looked down at his ramen, not even wanting to eat it anymore, having barely eaten any, but he knew he couldn't just leave it out or throw it away because he knew if Sasuke saw he would know something was wrong, so he forced himself to finish the rest.

He then just threw the empty cup away and slowly walked back to the bedroom and laid back down, not knowing what else to do.

His body was heavy, his chest was tight, and his head and stomach hurt. His whole body was just drained, and he just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up.

He didn't want to be in pain anymore, he didn't want to keep losing people, he didn't want to keep having nightmares. He just wanted to be happy with Sasuke, but right now, he just couldn't.

He closed his eyes as he sniffled with tears and just pressed closer to Sasuke's side, shaky but trying his hardest not to break down crying, just taking breaths and focusing on his lovers warmth against him.

After a while, he finally started to calm down, body relaxing. He still was feeling horrible, physically and mentally, but now it wasn't as bad.

He just focused on the dark-haired males' soft breathing, breathing along with him until he felt everything getting heavy again, and soon he couldn't stay awake any longer and finally fell asleep.

Some minutes later, Sasuke woke up, blinking slowly as he opened his eyes, taking some time to fully wake before giving the blonde a soft kiss and slowly sitting up with a slight smile.

The raven haired male knew about Naruto's struggles and nightmares, even though Naruto thought he didn't, but he couldn't really hide anything from him. He also knew, though, that Naruto didn't want him to know, so he had just been helping him discreetly so it wouldn't make Naruto feel worse.

He just held the blonde and rubbed his back during his nightmares, and he had also been giving him some medicine in his water to help with sleeping better.

Sasuke knew he was eventually going to bring it up with him, wanting Naruto to know he was always there for him no matter what. He just was never sure when the right time was.

He sighed softly after a moment, giving his lover another soft kiss before getting up to make him a birthday breakfast. He had been thinking a lot, and though he didn't want to cause any more pain than Naruto was probably already going through that day, he figured now was probably the best time to bring everything up.

He started cooking some pancakes, making them in heart shape for him, wanting to treat him and make sure he had a good day. After all, it was his birthday, and Sasuke knew Naruto barely had any good ones, so he wanted to make this one special.

After a bit, he finished up making the pancakes, setting them in a stack on a plate, along with some bacon and fruit on the side. Then he poured a glass of milk and was about to take it into their room when there was suddenly a scream, and Sasuke immediately put everything down and rushed to Naruto, finding him sitting up in bed crying.

The dark-haired male could feel his heart breaking as he realized it was another nightmare, going over and sitting down and pulling the blonde into his arms, where Naruto just broke down crying against his chest.

Sasuke rubbed his lovers back as he gently shushed him, quietly telling him that he was there and everything was okay.

He closed his eyes as he just sat there holding the blonde for what felt like forever. He just couldn't stand it, seeing his usually smiling, happy lover so depressed and hurt.

He closed his eyes as he kept quietly mumbling and rubbing Naruto's back, pressing a long kiss to his head. He wasn't good at this, good at comforting, but he was trying his hardest. He wanted to help Naruto, he didn't want to see him in pain, but he just wasn't sure how to make it better.

Sasuke could feel tears pricking at his own eyes as he continued to listen to his sun cry, hating it. He pushed through it though, and eventually, to his relief, Naruto calmed down, and the crying stopped.

"It's okay..I'm here.." Sasuke quietly mumbled, giving Naruto's head another long, soft kiss, just continuing to sit there with him until he was no longer shaking.

When Naruto had woken up from the nightmare and then realized Sasuke was there, he felt absolutely horrible. He didn't want to put his problems on Sasuke, but he knew now that he had a full-on breakdown for the first time with him in weeks, he couldn't keep them from him anymore.

Naruto had taken a while to calm down, the nightmare pretty bad, but Sasuke's touch helped, and now he was just sitting there pressed close against him, his head against Sasuke's chest, focusing on his heartbeat and just taking slow calm breaths.

Sasuke wasn't sure what to say or do, still not great with helping Naruto through things like this, but he was really trying his best, so he just sat there with the blonde until he finally spoke in a quiet voice, breaking Sasuke's heart more. "I..I'm..sorry.."

"No..Don't apologize.." The dark-haired male gently reached and wiped the tears off of Naruto's cheeks, hating how Naruto had the tendency to apologize over the smallest things, even when he did nothing wrong. "It's okay..You didn't do anything wrong..I know today is hard for you.."

Naruto sniffled and wiped his nose, keeping his gaze down as he felt tears coming to his eyes again, just feeling like a burden to Sasuke. "B..but.."

"No..I don't care what you think, do not apologize." Sasuke's hand cupped Naruto's cheek gently as he wiped another tear off. "Nothing is your fault. It's okay to cry..You taught me that.."

As Naruto listened to his boyfriend, he couldn't help but just lean into his touch more, not able to help it as he teared up again.

"I'm..I'm here for you.." Sasuke said after a moment, pulling Naruto closer again into another hug. He wasn't really a fan of physical touch, but all his barriers went down when it came to Naruto. "You can cry..You can talk to me..Whatever you need to do.."

When Sasuke said that, Naruto just started to cry again, tears falling as his arms came up, gripping onto Sasuke tight as he trembled.

"I-I'm..sorry...I-It just..hurts s-so much Sasuke.." Naruto stuttered out in between quiet sobs. "I..I-I miss them.."

"I know.." Sasuke held Naruto tight but gently, as close as he could, knowing the physical touch helped him and knowing he needed it. "But they wouldn't want you to be like this..They would want you to be happy.."

"I..I know but I.." Naruto tried to speak but could barely get anything out, not knowing what to do.

"Hey..Look at me.." Sasuke sighed slightly, taking a breath and trying to think of the exact words to say as he lifted Naruto's chin up. "..None of their deaths were your fault..They might not be here now, but I promise you they're still watching and wouldn't want you to be like this."

Sasuke gave Naruto's forehead and both cheeks a gentle kiss. "It's okay to cry, but don't let it control you...Besides..today's your birthday..I'm sure none of them would want to see you dwelling on the past and crying over them today of all days." He said, and his mouth quirked up slightly, trying his hardest to lighten the mood and make Naruto feel better. "How about we eat breakfast and then go out together..We can go visit their resting places, pick out some flowers..Like we did for my parents..I'm sure they would like that."

Sasuke's slight smile faded as he watched Naruto look down, feeling bad that he wasn't helping much, trying his hardest, but then he got relieved as Naruto nodded and tried to smile. "O..Okay.."

Naruto really didn't want to go out, just wanting to stay in bed, but he didn't want to make Sasuke worry even more than he already was, and he knew he was right. He couldn't let his emotions control his life. And he did want to be happy, knowing that's what his parents and Jiraiya and Neji would have wanted.

Sasuke nodded and slowly let go of him and gave him a kiss and then stood up, walking off to the kitchen but making sure to still talk with him so Naruto knew he was still there. "I made you breakfast..You should eat first. It might make you feel better."

He came back after a moment with the pancakes and milk, sitting down with him. "Sorry if they're cold." Sasuke said as he gave Naruto the glass of milk and then cut off a piece of pancake for him and held it out, knowing Naruto loved being fed and spoiled, and he wanted to make this a good day for him, now wondering if he should've re-heated the pancakes as well.

He didn't mean to stress about it, knowing it would make Naruto feel worse, but he was good at hiding it. He just couldn't help it, wanting to make this day good for him, and already feeling like he had messed things up.

Naruto didn't seem to mind much that the pancakes weren't warm anymore, though, Sasuke relaxing as the blonde ate them, just hoping he actually enjoyed them and wasn't forcing himself to eat.

Naruto still didn't feel like eating much, but he did love the pancakes, and so he was trying to eat what he could. Sasuke could tell when he was done, though, and put the plate down, letting Naruto just finish up his milk.

"You can get dressed, and then we'll head out." Sasuke mumbled as he gave Naruto's head a kiss and then took the dishes back to the kitchen, coming back to see Naruto standing by their dresser but not getting changed.

He went over, gently touching his lovers shoulder and rubbing it a bit. "Hey..What's wrong.."

The blonde slightly looked back at Sasuke and then back down, taking a breath to calm himself, trying to block out thoughts and focus on Sasuke. "Nothing." He said, putting on a slight smile, and then getting his clothes to get changed.

Sasuke knew something was wrong but didn't want to push it, so he just got dressed with him and then held his hand gently as they made their way out of their place, heading down the street.

"Do you want to go see your parents first?.." Sasuke gently asked after a couple moments as they walked together, waiting for him to reply, just rubbing his thumb against the back of Narutos hand for comfort.

Naruto looked up at the sky for a minute, thinking and then glancing over and pausing as they passed by a flower shop, nodding. "Yeah.."

Sasuke nodded and gave his hand a gentle squeeze, noticing the flower shop as well and then heading over with him, letting him look through each of the flowers, noticing his eyes were still dull and filled with sadness, Sasuke hating how much pain he seemed to be in.

Naruto took a while, just looking through everything, before picking out two bouquets. One of white chrysanthemums, and one of pink lilies. "They..go nice together.." He mumbled slightly, a sadness still in his eyes, and Sasuke just couldn't take it anymore, paying for the flowers and then wrapping his arms slowly around Naruto's waist and just resting his head on the blondes.

"They do.." He mumbled as he pressed a kiss to his boyfriends head, pulling him closer. "I'm sure your parents will love them..Come on, it's nice out right now, let's head over there, okay?"

The raven haired male pulled back, pausing when the blonde seemed hesitant, though. "Hey..It's okay.." He said, giving the blondes hand a squeeze and sighing. "If you're not ready, we can go later."

It was quiet for a bit as the blonde thought, but then Naruto took a breath. "No I..I want to see them." He said, a smile coming onto his face. There was still some sadness to it, but also some happiness too, which made Sasuke glad.

He could tell Naruto was trying his hardest to stay positive, which made him feel better, nodding, giving him a light kiss, something he rarely did in public. "I'm proud of you for going."

A small pink tinted Naruto's cheeks as he smiled a little more from the kiss, nodding and then hugging him. "Thank you.."

The taller male wrapped his arms around the blonde, returning the hug. "You're welcome." He said, and then soon they left, going down the street together until they reached the cemetery, pausing at Minato and Kushinas grave stones.

Naruto just stood there for a bit with Sasuke, glancing at him before looking back down and setting each of the flowers down. "Hey mom and dad.."

He slowly sat down as he spoke, sighing with tears. "I miss you both, y'know..Sasuke's here with me. He's become more than a friend since the last time you saw him, dad."

A small smile formed on his face as he continued to talk with tears. "I'm sure you both would like him..He treats me nice, and makes sure I take care of myself. He's always here for me..even when you guys aren't now..."

The blondes smile faltered a bit, but he felt better as Sasuke then sat with him and held his hand, letting him relax as he continued to talk with them.

Minutes passed and Sasuke stayed the entire time, rubbing his lovers back and helping him through it as Naruto told his parents everything he wanted to, soon calming again and taking a breath before finishing up.

"Well..I'm turning 18 today." The blonde sniffled as he wiped tears off, continuing to talk. "I-I know you guys aren't here but..b-but I'm so happy that I had you as my parents."

Tears started to go down the blondes face again as he trembled with a smile. "I-I love you both..Thank you for everything."

Sasuke gently smiled and then just held Naruto as the blonde turned and pressed close with him, kissing his head and mumbling soft words to him as they just sat together, both smiling, Naruto's sadness mostly gone now, just enjoying the moment with Sasuke before they would go and visit others they had lost. He didn't understand this part of life sometimes, but he was slowly learning to just accept it, knowing that even if they were gone from the world, they were still all in his heart.
