Hello there and welcome to another story, brought to you truly and here is what it is.
Shout out to the author, 'leonardo18anime' that had granted me the permission to take inspiration from his stories which, if you don't know what's the name below, it's a One Piece/Highschool DxD.
Now, I don't want to go into detail on the story but I intend on making this story different than it's inspiration of the story such as how, instead of a goofball with little people skills, my OC is extremely intelligent... who also has little people skills.
Finally, I really, really want a Highschool DxD where it takes on a more sci-fi setting like aliens coming to the supernatural world of Hoghschool DxD, kind of like how these trope plays as a 'Devils, Angels and Squids', with what I am doing being the Squid.
Regardless, on with the story.
Disclaimer: I do not own Highschool DxD and 'Straw Hats DXD2' by 'leonardo18anime'. They belong to their respective owners.
Enjoy.
Character Name: Xylar (Designation: Observation Unit 743-X)
Age: Equivalent to approximately 27 cycles (Kyr'Vak standard). Human equivalent: Early 30s.
Gender: Biologically, Xylar exists as the equivalent of a male in human terms, exhibiting physical characteristics leaning towards masculinity. However, the Kyr'Vak Collective does not ascribe social or cultural significance to gender in the same way humans do. He is referred to with male pronouns for simplicity in human interaction, but this is purely a linguistic convenience.
Physical Appearance: Xylar stands at an impressive height, approximately 7 feet tall, contributing to his naturally imposing presence. His build is muscular and lean, suggesting both strength and agility, despite his seemingly deliberate and measured movements.
Encasing him entirely is a sleek, form-fitting suit of a vibrant, almost metallic green. This is not merely fabric, but a bio-engineered environment suit integrated with advanced technology. It appears seamless, molded to his form, and subtly iridescent in certain lights. Faint, glowing lines can be seen tracing patterns across the surface, possibly indicating energy flow or sensor grids.
Above where his head would be, rises a smooth, bone-like carapace structure, curving forward like a hood. This carapace is the same green hue as his suit and seamlessly merges with it. It completely obscures the upper portion of his physical head structure.
Beneath the carapace itself, the 'face' presented is an expressionless mask, being smooth and featureless, lacking any discernible mouth, nose, or ears and instead having two large, almond-shaped eyes dominate the mask, glowing with an intense, emerald green light. These eyes are the only visible indication of his internal processes and seem to observe the world with detached curiosity.
And extending from his back are devices that served as the ability to conjure segmented wings where they are not feathered or leathery like typical wings, but appear to be constructed from a similar material as his carapace, albeit thinner and more articulated. They are not designed for atmospheric flight in the traditional sense, but rather for maneuverability in zero-gravity environments and potentially for energy manipulation or weaponization. Fine, glowing veins are also visible within the wing structure.
And finally, on his left wrist is a sleek, silver device that appears integrated into his suit. This wrist-mounted technology is constantly shifting and reconfiguring, projecting holographic displays, emitting soft hums, and occasionally extending or retracting small appendages. It serves as his primary interface with his technology and likely his disguise system.
Personality Traits: Xylar is the embodiment of pure logic and reason. Every action, every word, is meticulously considered and based on data analysis. He prioritizes efficiency and optimal outcomes above all else. Emotions are not only foreign to him but also perceived as illogical variables that hinder objective analysis.
And true to his logical nature, Xylar displays no emotional expression whatsoever with his mask-like face remains unchanged regardless of the situation. His voice is consistently flat, monotonous, and devoid of inflection that it is almost robotic, yet possesses a subtle organic quality, a slight resonance that hints at his biological components.
Xylar's sole purpose is the pursuit of knowledge and scientific advancement. He is driven by an insatiable curiosity to understand the universe through empirical observation and logical deduction. Anything outside the realm of scientific inquiry is seen as irrelevant or inefficient.
This means that he operates primarily as an individual. The Kyr'Vak Collective functions as a network of independent minds sharing data, not as a social structure. Concepts of family, friendship, or romantic love are completely alien to him for social interaction for him is a tool for data acquisition, not a form of connection.
Due to his alien nature and lack of understanding of human social norms, Xylar's behavior is often perceived as strange, unsettling, and even unnerving by humans. He struggles to interpret social cues, often takes things literally, and is unaware of the nuances of human communication and etiquette.
This means that due to Xylar's morality being based on logic and the advancement of knowledge, not on human concepts of good and evil, while he is not intentionally malicious, his actions might seem morally questionable to humans if they conflict with his scientific objectives as he would prioritize acquiring data or completing a logical objective even if it causes discomfort or minor harm, as long as the benefits outweigh the perceived illogicality of emotional considerations.
But while initially focused on scientific principles, Xylar's crash landing in a world filled with supernatural phenomena has sparked a new, albeit logical, curiosity. He recognizes the existence of Devils, Angels, and magic as anomalous energy systems that defy conventional scientific understanding as he knows it. This makes him driven, in a detached, analytical way, to understand these new variables in his data set.
Background:
Kyr'Vak Collective Origin: Xylar originates from a technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilization known as the Kyr'Vak Collective. Their homeworld is located in a distant galaxy, characterized by harsh environmental conditions that necessitated a relentless focus on scientific adaptation and technological progress.
Scientific Observation Mission: Xylar was dispatched on a long-range scientific observation mission, tasked with studying anomalous energy signatures detected in a region of space that, unbeknownst to him, contained Earth and its supernatural phenomena. His mission was to collect data on these energy anomalies and transmit it back to the Collective.
Crash Landing on Earth: During his mission, Xylar's vessel encountered an unexpected spatial distortion or unknown energy field (possibly caused by supernatural interference), leading to a critical system malfunction and a crash landing on Earth, specifically in a remote mountainous region near Kuoh Town, Japan.
Current Situation: Stranded on an alien planet, Xylar is now attempting to assess his situation, repair his damaged vessel (if possible), and continue his mission of data collection. He understands he is in an unfamiliar and potentially dangerous environment. He has activated a holographic disguise system to blend in with the dominant species, humanity, to avoid immediate detection and potential hostile interactions while he gathers information and analyzes his surroundings.
Abilities and Technology:
Xylar possesses technology far beyond human comprehension, bordering on indistinguishable from magic in the Highschool DxD world which includes:
His Environmental Suit which provides life support, environmental shielding, enhanced physical capabilities (strength, speed, resilience), and integrated sensors alongside having a Wrist-Mounted Multifunctional Device that is apable of holographic projection, energy manipulation (potentially weaponization), advanced scanning and analysis, communication across vast distances, and control of his disguise system and even adapting and reconfiguring anything to suit various tasks.
This include the ability to project a convincing human illusion around Xylar, allowing him to appear as a relatively unremarkable human male. However, the disguise is not foolproof, and his unnatural behavior and energy signature are still detectable by perceptive individuals, especially supernatural beings.
But likewise is his most potent ability is his incredibly advanced intellect, capable of processing vast amounts of data, analyzing complex systems, and formulating logical solutions with exceptional speed and efficiency.
Role in Highschool DxD World:
Xylar acts as a complete anomaly in the Highschool DxD universe. He represents a truly alien element, a science-fiction entity dropped into a world dominated by biblical and mythological concepts of the supernatural.
Unknown Variable: To the supernatural factions (Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels), Xylar is an unknown variable. His technology and abilities are unlike anything they have encountered. They might perceive him as a powerful magical entity, a strange kind of Fallen Angel experiment, or something entirely new and potentially dangerous.
Object of Curiosity and Concern: His advanced technology and unusual presence will inevitably draw the attention of the supernatural world, particularly those interested in power and knowledge. He could be seen as a threat, a resource to be exploited, or simply a fascinating subject of study.
Clash of Paradigms: Xylar's purely scientific and logical worldview clashes dramatically with the magic and faith-based reality of the Highschool DxD world. He may initially dismiss magic as illogical or inefficient, but his scientific curiosity will drive him to understand and analyze it. This clash of paradigms could lead to both humorous misunderstandings and potentially dangerous conflicts.
Unintentional Agent of Change: His presence, even if he intends to remain isolated, could disrupt the existing balance of power and understanding in the supernatural world simply by being a completely unpredictable and unclassifiable element.
Xylar is a character designed to introduce a truly alien perspective and a science-fiction element into the established fantasy world of Highschool DxD, creating opportunities for unique interactions, conflicts, and exploration of the boundaries between science and magic, logic and faith, and the known and the utterly alien.
Well, hope that you guys enjoyed the chapter. Shout out to 'leonardo18' for giving me the permission with taking permission from his story for me to use.
Regardless, if there are any ideas for you to add in to the story, let me know in the comments below and see what I will bring to the plate of the story.
As always...
Ciao and bye...
PS: For those who are confused about this Chapter, let's just say that I have to renew it because the current character profile seemed outdated so, here it is.
