Love Her
He types away on the Watch Tower computer finishing up the last mission report of the day. He cracks his neck once or twice and gets up. Turning around, he sees Zatanna and Artemis walk down the hall. Arty tries to send a friendly wave. He and Zee lock eyes for a bit before she huffs and turns away. He sighs and heads to a Zeta tube.
It was a stupid fight really. He doesn't even remember what they fought over. Now, all day she won't even look at him. Ultimately, he realizes that she was probably right anyway. He loves her so she's always right. Their relationship isn't always perfect, and he thinks it's best to let the small things go. They can get emotional, but he loves her, so getting through the hardest parts together will be worth it.
He gets back to their apartment late after stopping a hostage situation. He drops his armor all over the floor before realizing she hates it when he leaves a mess. He picks up the pieces and places them neatly in the secret compartment in the closet. After a quick shower, he sees her sleeping peacefully on their bed with her back facing him. Slowly, he climbs into bed and hugs her from behind. She doesn't squirm or protest. She relaxes into his chest and places her hand on his. He nuzzles her neck and takes a whiff of her hair. He kisses her cheek as a smile forms on her face. No matter the fight, everything is going to be alright. He'd always come back to her like a magnet to see her brilliant smile. Because he loves her...
