Eyes, Nose, Lips

He doesn't remember where it went wrong. How their unbreakable bond slowly withered away. All he knows is that he hasn't felt the same since she left. He's tried to replicate that feeling, but no one gets his humor, no one understands his way of thinking, no one has held his heart quite like she did. She walks into the Watchtower with another man holding her waist. The sight burns him inside and out. Yet, he can't stop looking. She's still as beautiful as she was when they were together, perhaps even more so. Her bright blue eyes that saw right through him. Her nose that held the sweetest breath. Her pretty red lips that used to whisper "I love you" over and over again. Now he'd be lucky to just hear her voice. His heart aches, but he does nothing about it. He smiles like nothing's wrong.

"Why am I a fool? Why can't I forget you," he wonders silently.

He continues to stare as if he's drawing her face in his mind. His face crinkles as he remembers how he used to be able to touch her like that man is touching her now. He turns and recoils as he thinks about how she used to touch him with the ends of her fingertips. But that's all gone now like a burnt-out flame. What they had might as well be burnt and destroyed. It hurts so much, but all he can do is call her a memory. He loved her, but apparently, he must not have been enough.

As he walks away, she turns hoping to see his handsome face. She wants to see his eyes that twinkled in the light, his nose that crinkled when he's in deep thought, and his lips that she'd kiss night after night. Instead, all she sees is his back as he walks away. It hurts, but all she has now is a memory…
