At the Harbor of Tokyo. Akira Kurusu, was waiting with his chosen guest of the ship that should take them to the Tournament.
He could feel how the sea wind was blowing through his messy black hair, as he Stares on the water.
"OH! I've lost again!" Said a girly voice disappointed.
"Yeah! Take that!" said now a deeper voice, That Akira knew all too well. " I am getting better at this game!"
"That's just beginner's luck." said the same girly voice. " I-I've Just let you win! That's all!"
Akira just shakes his head in pure amusement.
It's always those two. Ryuji and Futaba.
One who was a blonde athlete, while Futaba was an Orange haired Gamer girl. wich the Latter call herself as one.
"so..." said a platinum blonde-haired girl "how long do you think the ship is coming to get here?" she tilted her head to Akira.
"uh...Maybe in a half-hour?" said Akira while putting his hand on his head.
wich Ann puffed out annoyed. Before she looks at another person " Hey. Yusuke do you have enough art supplies for the Tournament?"
The dark blue-haired young artist was admiring the glittering surface of the Ocean, he turned around. " Yes I do have them." he said calmly " but can I took another glance if you want."
"But that would be the tenth time already." said now brown-haired girl "I can highly say that you have all of them."
Yusuke look a bit daazled. " Maybe I should look..."
"No. Please. Chihaya had to look several times already if she has all her cards with."
"Oh right." said Ann surprised. " I almost forgot about the others, that Akira invited!"
Akira turned his face to the 'small' crowd of friends that he invited to be his guest in the Tournament. well...to be frank to all are here, since some are rather too busy to come with. but the some are rather three who couldn't come.
He saw how Chihaya was rummaging around in her briefcase. wich he presumes is there where she has her cards in, and he remembers that she said to him, that she kinda expended in her Tarot readings.
He didn't quiet understand what she meant by it, but to each to their own.
Akira contained to look around and Saw Sojiro talking with Sae, the big sis of Makoto. The brown-haired girl.
"I don't if this a good idea, to going to this Tournament." Sojiro said with concern in his voice as he glared to over Futaba, who was sulking around Yusuke."I mean, those 'Smash veterans.' No one in the whole of Japan had heard a single Name of those. To me that is suspicious."
"Yes, I do agree." Sae said while crossing her arms thoughtfully "It's really not very confident that no one knows them at all...but you know what Yoshida said. That we should be Opened minded, In regards to the latest famous rumors that the Tournament is Mutliuniversal. Let's hope it doesn't end in someone innocent Injured." She ended in a stern tone.
"Thank you, for bringing me with Akira." said a boy with spiky blue hair. "I didn't think you will be Inviting me."
"No, Problem. Mishima." Sais Akira while holding a thumps up.
"You're are a Friend."
"Thanks for the compliment."
"Are you sure that Tae is fine of coming with?" Mishima said with slight anxiety, as he taps his foot on the ground.
"Yes, I think that."
"Why?"
"She is my personal doctor." Akira said with a smirk, as he put his finger on his Nose.
"uhh...Okay?" said Mishima confused about the answer. "and you don't have your glasses on. wich I presume is the reason why put your finger on your nose?"
Akira realized that he wanted to make his Iconic glass move, but had failed to realize that he didn't had them on."dammit..."
Then they heard a loud banging of thunder as a blue-white portal opened up, causing other people on the Harbor to scream, and some various News teams, who awaited the arrival of the ship to quickly grasp their camera supplies.
"HOLY EFFING WHAT?!" screamed Ryuji loud like a megaphone. He looked at his friend group where everyone had their eyes wide open."Futaba, go checkin' what's happenin' in the web."
Futaba nodded quickly, while Sojiro was mumbled something while shocked.
"I have one in a second..." Futaba said with an eagerly face, which quickly disappears and was replaced with shock. "Oh...That really escalated very badly. The multiple live streams just crashed by the high amount of posts in the chat!" She said while everyone surrounds her blink.
"Oh dear..." said a Girl with curly Hair named Haru. "I think that the rumor has just become true..." she looks at the ship which was coming out of the Portal.
It was large, she figured that's because to pick up some of the reporters here, and themselves.
The Gangway was driven out and fell on the ground with a thud. waiting patiently for the Guests.
"What an entrance!" Said Akira loud while sounding nervously "Let's go abroad then..." he said, and the others while cautious on getting the ship one after one, entered the ship.
After they entered the entrance, a strange human-like person was waiting there. Its body look's like a human from a low-poly game from 2006.
"Hello!" said the Figure with a male voice who waved his 'Hand' around" are you Akira Kurusu?" it said while fixing its a red shirt and on the lightly tanned face was a cartoonish smile.
"Yes!" said Akira while posing dramatically " I AM!"
"Dude, Come on!" shouted Ryuji aloud "This is still scary shit, man!"
Before he could complain further, he got hit by a bottle coming from Ann "Don't swear, you moron!"
"Ow! I get it!"
" I apologize if the question is rather rude." asked Haru carefully of her next word choice and let out her air "But what are you exactly?"
The thing cleared its throat * I am Mii." the thing said.
Haru blinked confused "er...It's great of knowing yourself. But I want to know what you are."
"I..." the thing said puzzled. " I am Mii."
"Uh...I Understand that you are yourself."
"NO! I am a Mii! M.I.I!" it said while it was drawing the Letters 'M. I. I.' in the Air which Haru caught on
"I apologize!" she bowed in apology.
"It's alright! The name of my species is just Mii." the Miss said while fixing his pants " My name is Albert."
"well, Hello Albert! so can you tell us how long it will take to the Tournament?" she said with a small curiosity, while Albert closed his eyes.
"Hmmm." he makes as he started to think, " Oh not that long! You are actually the last ones we have to get!"
"Uh...what?" said Ann surprised while drinking from the water bottle she just hit Ryuji with "how many are there?
" Many fighters." Albert said and turned around to go, but stop halfway through "Oh I forgot...we might see each other later. since a huge chunk of my kind will be fighting the tournament and work in the background...so we might see each other again or not." He said and vanishes into a corner...not without hitting his head on a low-hanging Pipe "OW!" was the last thing they heard from him.
"So...?" Begann Mishima awkwardly to say " what are we doing now?"
"I guess, we should just walk around and wait that we get to our destination?" said Futaba blanky as she looked at the deck, in confusion. " I mean we could look after the other Fighters...I mean they must on this ship also, or not?"
"This sounds like a solid plan! I like it!" said Makoto while having one hand on her hip. "But don't stroll to far away, or-" but before she could end most of her friends already disappeared." Why do I even bother?" she said in distress. "Okay, sis where should we going?"
Sae sighed aloud, as she slowly calmed down from the shocking reveal. "I am quite surprised, how quick you all calmed down...I guess somewhere quiet." she said and Makoto smiled, and they got away.
While the rest of Akira's Invited guests were unsure of what to do and promptly decided to just strolling around.
Akira walks on the deck, and in His bag, he could feel a movement. As a cat head pops out, while it first let out a yawn and then cunning laugh. "So...?" spoke the cat while observing the deck around "are you ready to start the mission, Joker?"
in which Akira blinked shadily. "Yes...Morgana the raccoon."
which to the slight displeasure, Morgana whined a "JOKER!" out.
He snickers, as he stepped on the Deck, and began to look around.
He saw a strange flower pot sitting on a bench, but he didn't question it all too much. Probably some odd design choice...since well, they are on a ship that came from a portal.
He walked past the bench and saw soon a large muscular man with a ripped shirt and having blonde hair that was waving in the wind of the Ocean, the man also wore a cap, but he was having his back to Akira. so he didn't know how the cap really looks like.
Akira while feeling amazed by the muscles decided to face the man's face to properly greet him.
As he turned to face the man he saw at least two other things. First, there was a human in middle-age like-clothing...probably a warrior or a knight with brown that was in the height of his chin. He had blue eyes and his sword and shield laying beside him.
Akira turned to the other being on the left side, and that being was a brown bear.
The bear was almost human-like, around the neck was a necklace of a talon-like tooth. The bear had yellow shorts on and also a blue backpack.
Akira raised the eyebrow in slight awe, as the purple-clothed warrior began to notice him.
"Oh? who are you?" said the warrior, while the bear began to look straight at him.
The muscled man also reacted to Akira's appearance, in which he began to stumble a bit confused.
"I am Akira kurusu." He began while trying to look calm. " I am one of the fighters that come to the tournament."
The muscled man gives him a thumbs up while having a smile " I am Terry Bogard." Terry packed firmly Akira's hand, and he flinched at the strength of Terry.
" I am Yuusha." Introduced the warrior while waving his hand in a greeting gesture. "Or eleven how my allies call me.
Akira raised an eyebrow "Eleven? That's an odd nickname."
"I truly think it too."
"Then why do you have it?"
"My allies started to call me like that." Yuusha kneaded his chin. " I must ask them if I have the chance."
Akira now turned to the bear who put his blue back bag off his bag, and it put on the Ground. The bear looked back at Akira, and pointed with his paw at himself " I am Banjo. Nice to meet you!"
Before Akira could speak back, the back bag moves rapidly and open up. and a large red bird head popped up. " I am Kazooie, numbnuts!" shrieked the feminine Bird.
wich Banjo slaps his own face with his Paw "Kazooie!"
Akira just blinked confused as the Bird completely rose up from the bag like a rabbit in a magic show.
"uh..." Akira stuttered nervously, as the bird was finally out of the bag, and she was bigger than the bag itself." I am Akira..."
"Akira?" Kazooie tipped one of her feathers at her beak. "That's an Interesting name, bird nest." while trying not to laugh aloud. Banjo just stared at the slightly annoyed, as he turned to Akira.
"I am sorry for her behavior..." He said while mumbling something "it's ol' Kazooie, she a bit Hot-tempered and very sassy many times...but only if she gets insulted in some way. on purpose or through an accident..."
Banjo glared a bit at Kazooie, as she jumped on the ship railing. "But trust me, when I am telling you this. Even dough, she is quite the trouble maker she has a good heart." Banjo said with reassurance as he walked away from Akira to Kazooie.
Morgana put out his Cat head from the bag as his Eyes looked after the Bird.
"How can this Bird be so sassy?" Sais Morgana annoyed "did someone just stand in her breakfast?"
"She a bit feisty." said Akira, while putting his hands in his Pockets "Kinda hot don't you think?" he said Jokelingly, which Morgana replied with, "Akira!"
Akira let out small laughter, as he looks at both again.
Those two, they are like Yin and Yang, different from each other and yet inseparable. Banjo was probably kind-hearted but very passive in fighting, while Kazooie was a feisty and more active type of friend.
He looks around more and saw a squirrel in a blue hoodie. Wich was talking with Banjo and Kazooie.
some steps away was a Japanese girl was holding a strange device that looks like a camera.
There were many other beings and people, that Akira felt a bit overwhelmed.
But before he could say anything to Morgana, a high-pitched whistle was heard, and with a strong tumbling that was similar to an earthquake. The same type of Portal opened up, and the ship got sucked into it quickly as if it was trying to devour a noodle.
Akira could hear how Morgana got thrown out of his bag with a yelp.
Akira's body felt almost as if it was pushed underwater with a strong crushing wave, he could feel the wind flowing right into his nose filling his head with cold cutting air.
And then it stopped.
Akira's body felt normal as he heard the splashing of the ship landing in the water and the rooking on the waves.
"God damn..." He whimpered out, that experience was kinda...crazy and very otherworldly.
There it was...standing on the shore, was the castle waiting to house them in its inside.
Akira was very amazed how the white marble shined in the sunlight, the surface of the water glittered in stars. The sky was pretty blue with some white clouds flying around.
"That's the place we stay?" asked Futaba behind Akira in pure awe. " That place look's like straight of an RPG!"
"Is this really that place we will sleep in? Hell, yeah!" Ryuji yelled excitedly. while Yusuke holds his hands out in the artist's way to view the Castle better.
"Hmmm." he was studying it for a moment, " The whiteness of the marble is very pretty looking. I must know the bright mind behind this." Yusuke turned around, his face suddenly changes from excitement to utter confusion.
"Uh..." he slowly makes, while the others raised confusion "you seem a bit different Morgana."
"Are you trying to tell that I gained some weight?" said Morgana stepping forward. which leads everyone to get shocked. as the small humanoid cat with a comical head appeared, that seems to wear a mask. a yellow scarf to obscure the white-furred mouth and on his hips a utility belt with two pockets.
"Yusuke answer me!" said Morgana while jumping up in the air, but soon his expression vanishes as he saw the confused gaze of Sojiro. "Uh..."
Morgana looks down on himself before screaming " WHY DID MY BODY CHANGE?!"
Akira blinked shocked " I don't know how this happened! This was only possible in mementos and in Palaces."
"Wait." Sae suddenly spoke up, " So those Palaces you told us are a bit supernatural?"
Akira looked around in a search of answers "Yes." he exclaimed " they were but not right now! That's Morgana's true form." He stretched his arms out like he was in a presentation.
"so the cat I was keeping in my Café..." Sojiro began to realize " is this something?!"
" I am not a Cat!"
"Don't panic!" Yelled Ann loud, with eased Morgana's face that just harden for a single moment.
" I mean, c'mon guys. wasn't that thing Kinda expected? Like we just did some dimensional travel and meet some very uncanny human likes! I bet that more strange stuff is going to happen." said Ann knowingly while observing the castle to see something strange.
" she is Kinda right." said Makoto while moving her gaze nervously "But I really wonder why Morgana's form changed."
But before anyone could've answered a golden ring of Light circles them and with a dinging sound, everyone vanished without a Sign.
After the Light died down, they notice that they landed in a hall. In front of them were a Floating Glove and a man In red.
Ryuji wanted to say something, but choose not to.
"Welcome." began the glove to talk in an almost booming voice, that made some of the guests jump " To the smash castle. I am your Tourament master of the smash tournament, Master hand. and the man beside is Mario Jumpman, Hero of the Mushroomkingdom and he will give an explanation of the Touramnet's rules and Items, and later your Keycards."
Mario began to explain some of the rules like they should not fight outside of the battles, that the guest should not be helping the fighter in battle, that the Master ball's Pokémon's (In which he gave a short explanation of what a Pokémon is and Legendary Pokémon.) are just robotic replicas. etc.
"But before we continue with the fights." Began Master hand to speak "all of the new fighters should show us some of their special ability if they have like Magic or technology." and He pointed at Akira first. " You go first Akira."
Akira stepped forward, and faced back to his group of friends, and saw other faces of the other guests.
He slowly took a deep breath and shouted "Persona!"
Blueish flames encircle him, as he could feel how his heart beat faster and faster of the energy that his soul contains, burning with a strong passion for being used. His clothing changed from a normal teenager to a coal black tailcoat with a black waistcoat, where golden buttons shined out like stars, he had brown-black winklepickers, blood red gloves, and a domino mask that was almost similar to a bird. With a ball of white light, a being appeared behind him.
The being wore a red large tall top hat, a long-horned mask with a face on it burning like amber, a white ruffle tie, and most notably a pair of coal-black wings from its back, there were also long black fingers that got through a pair of fingerless gloves.
"So?" asked Master hand Akira curious " What is that power called?"
" A persona." Akira explained " A manifestation of one's inner thoughts, personality, and feeling. Sort of like a 'Mask' that one's chooses to wear to face hardships or the desire of how other people want to see you as. My persona goes with the name of Arséne." He finished as his Persona did a gentleman bow.
"That's Interesting..." Master hand began to study Arséne thoroughly, "I give an allowance of using him in the battle. But not having him out throughout the entire fight, since it should be fair. Next one please." Master hand pointed to the Flowerpot, that Akira saw on the ship some minutes ago.
The Pot suddenly sprung to life, and almost like a Bomb a large red head with white dots popped out having multiple sharp teeth. It started to waddle on small feet that where sometimes appear under the pot itself.
Akira stepped back to this friends, while Futaba seems overly excited, as small sparks in her eyes lit up in excitement.
"Ahhhh!" Mario sounded surprisingly pleased " A Pirahna plant. That's an interesting choice, Master hand."
"It truly is, I've thought to put in some variety."
The Piranha plant, spit out a spiky ball and its head in a blink of an eye turned black with thorns on them. And shortly afterward its head stretches in a long distance.
"Is that fair for you, Mario?" Master hand asked the plumber with expectation.
"Yes, I do think it. It's very versatile, but I can see some weaknesses that balance some of the strong skills out. So that Moveset is fair."
The Piranha plant let out a happy grunt before it waddles away.
Master hand wanted to pick the next one before an arm was being stretched out. " Can I ask something?" Asked Futaba curious.
"Yes, what is the question?" Said Mario calmy.
"Why do you want us the show our skills?"
Mario started to cough a little to adjust his tone before he began to answer the question." Because to see if some of your abilities are too strong or too weak to do any significant damage. Like, we can't allow you to use a one-shot attack against your opponent, It would make the fights very dull and unfair."
Mario holds a finger up, "But! some of the rules are a bit flexible and the fights can go from very traditional to be very chaotic in a mere second. so which means some rules could be bent into that pure chaos. But you will see that soon." Mario looks to the next fighter, which was Terry. " , it's your turn now."
Terry showed some fist combos, and in some of the moves, his knuckles were engulfed in flames.
"Good, It's fair but hold some of the strength a bit back, please." Said Mario, before pointing at Yuusha, while some similar-looking warriors were standing behind him.
Yuusha showed multiple spells, some were fire spells, while others are thunder. etc.
The other warriors had almost similar-looking moves but some of their moves were very much different.
Mario and Master hand discussed again if the moves were fair or not, which almost had taken four minutes due to the sheer amount of the showed spells.
Master hand ordered the next fighters, which were Banjo and Kazooie.
Banjo pulled Kazooie and, to anyone's surprise, held her like a rifle, he fired out of Kazooie's mouth multiple eggs with strange surfaces that one was looking like a grenade and was acting like one.
Mario frowned confused, at their Moveset. He coughs again "That was a bit weird, but wouldn't be the first time that the fighter was weird. Right,Master hand?"
Master hand gave a thumbs up "Yes, Indeed. We will allow this." Master hand pointed upwards the ceiling "Before you ask, the other people on the ship got transported to Wuhu Island. A resort built by the Mii species, which will serve as a part of one of the tournament stages, and a place for the audience to stay. Don't worry about your luggage, it got teleported into your rooms."
Master hand pauses before Mario pulled out various white keycards. "Mario will now give your keycards for your rooms."
Mario stretches his body a bit before a white light engulfed his arm, caused by a snap of Master's hand fingers, and after the light died out Mario was carrying a basket with white-colored keycards.
Mario greeted everyone with a handshake and directly gave them a keycard.
"Dude." said Ryuji beside Akira, wich the latter was carefully studying his white keycard. "This day started very weirdly, I have no idea what's going to happen next...maybe an Identity crisis?"
Akira just stared at his best friend for a while before he answered: "Perhaps, Santa Claus himself appears."
Ryuji opened his mouth in an attempt to say something but decides to just keep to himself.
"Good." said Mario as held his finger out " It seems everyone got their cards. But before you could see the fights first, we are in Launch break. So if everyone is hungry, should now follow me."H said and began to disappear into the right corridor, walking past a painting with a sunflower field where colorful paper planes were above it.
They've walked a while before reaching a white wooden double door, which Mario opens up with both hands, Revealing the dining hall.
Many fighters at their tables turned their faces around to better see the newcomers. While some were smiling at the new ones, were the others seems to be unpleased, wich the latters' simply continued to eat their lunch.
"Oh, geez!" said Futaba surprised "That week is going to get very surreal...It's almost like, it came straight of a Videogame!".
She was in the doing of walking to the food court. Only to be interrupted, as she bumped into someone else.
"Ow!" said the thing Futaba just bump into it. "You are a bit too excited, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am a bit-" Futaba said, but her eyes open wide as she saw the thing she just bumped into, was in fact looking like her...Wich resulted in a surprised scream." What are you?!"
Akira and Sojiro run towards Futaba to see what the thing is.
As they reached the thing their eyes widen wide.
Then that thing was not, that the tips of the hair were tentacles or the very pointy ears that were almost like triangles.
No, it was the fact it almost looks like Futaba herself.
"Holy kelp!" The thing screamed in shock " Why are you looking like me?!" the thing pointed the finger to Futaba who blinked so confused.
"What's Going on?" Said Mario who walks in "Is everything all right, Orenji?".
Before the thing, whose Name is Orenji could say something, Mario was looking forth and Back between Futaba and Orenji. He lets out a calmy "Oh." Before helping them both up from the ground.
"I am sorry for the confusion." apologized Mario to Akira and Sojiro, "But the thing is that Orenji is a member of a species of half-human and squid, which she somehow resembles..."Mario Pauses carefully before saying the next words "Your daughter by chance."
Sojiro tried to say a complaint before calming down. "No, it's alright. But what is the species called of where Orenji is coming from?"
"Inkling." Mario said and pulled out his phone, which his finger moved on the screen until he found what he was Looking for.
He turned his phone around and a photo showing an Orange squid jumping out of an Orange puddle.
"That's her Squid form." Mario explained to Akira, which the latter listened carefully "I am not allowed to say too much, but she quick in that form. My Tip is that you should be prepared to dodge quickly." Mario finished and put back his phone. "So...and I am noticing that both just are sharing a meal already..." said Mario bluntly
with Akira followed his gaze and he blinked in surprise. As he saw how both are sharing... which he guessed was a kind of Sushi?
Both of them were munching away the sushi as if they were in a competition.
"It's sometimes a true mystery how quick some connections are created..." acknowledge Mario while shaking his head in a strange way. " I guess I really should go eating... or Necrozma is going to miss his feeding Minute."Mario shrugged his shoulders, grabbed his meal, and goes away.
Akira just stood there, with no idea of how in the world he actually got here...
It's still weird how his Life did go from a false accusation to this Worldview-crushing tournament! and who is even Necrozma that Mario just spoke about? What does he mean by feeding time? Is the thing a friend, an Alien, Mario's Pet? Girlfriend with weird preferences?
Akira just shakes his head in utter frustration. "My life is just a weird mess..." Akira thought still dumbstruck "In a twisted sense I can really thank society for that..."
He sat down at a table with his friends, not counting Futaba.
"So...what now?" Munched Ryuji a ramen soup.
"I-I don't know..." said Haru confused.
" I mean we could cheer Akira on in his battles." Said Ann eagerly " Maybe some encouraging words?"
Morgana lifted his head a little and carefully looked over a purple-looking dragon that seems to stare at a dark-skinned man, which the stared one was reading a book at a table.
"I think we should go very creative by this..." Morgana moaned quietly.
"I maybe can assist in this!" Yusuke moved his fork elegantly " This may become a masterpiece!"
"Just make sure it sounds motivating in the next days." answered Morgana tactfully" we can't let their strong appearance just shaken down our Leader!"
Akira smiled a little with the support of his friends, and begin to smile cunningly "Then let us show them what Show we can give them!" He exclaimed and dived the cutlery in his food.
Akira was being teleported, as he took a deep breath.
The feeling of his body dissipating was a short moment, before it was put back together as he landed on a stage that seems to replicate a platform, with a small wooden cottage and a...small house for the small 'businesses' was located behind him.
"Five!" shouted an announcer loudly in excitement.
Akira looked down the platform and saw a rapid, which occasionally small creatures jumped out.
"Four!"
Akira notices two other fighters who appeared on the stage, which where Terry and Yuusha were getting ready.
"Three!"
The piranha plant showed its teeth as it appeared on the stage.
"Two!"
Akira looked one last time at the stage closely to think of a plan.
While Banjo and Kazooie nodded their heads at each other.
"One!"
Akira's heart prepared for the upcoming fight.
"GO!"
At once the fighter run towards each other.
Akira pulled out a gun and shot a bullet in the direction of Terry's legs.
Terry smirked, and dodge the bullet with ease. He then tried to punch Akira, which he reacted by jumping over Terry onto a small platform over a window of the small cottage.
Where Banjo and Kazooie waited for him, and without any hesitation, Banjo threw a Bomb-omb at Akira, which he kicked up into the air. It flew directly into Yussha who seemed to have tried a surprise attack from above which was thwarted in seconds by the explosion. Akira smirked at the Lucky hit, before regreeting of letting his guard down, as Banjo rammed into Akira using Kazzoie's wings as a shield.
Akira felt a strong form of Magic through his stomach, as he let out a cough, as he was sent flying away and landed in front of the small house beside the cottage.
He quickly jumped back up on his feet and quickly looked around to see a nearby opponent, his eyes litted up surprised as he saw the plant holding a ray gun.
The piranha plant shoots it without any hesitation at Akira, which he reacted with a bullet from his gun.
Both collided and both humans and plants jumped at each other.
The plant's head turned black, and ram it into Akira.
Akira yelped in pain as he heard how some of his bones began to crack, as he got sent flying over the edge and saw how he got closer to the rapids.
His eyes widened as he quickly pulled out his grappling hook and fired at the edge. It flew through the air and hacked on the edge successfully.
Akira got pulled himself closer to the safe edge, as he sighed in relief. He looked up and saw how the plant went flying over him and falling helplessly in the rapids, and without a blink, the plant was gone as it was never there in the first place.
As he got over the edge, he immediately dodges a spell of Yuusha, which imploded into a fiery explosion
Akira could feel the wave of heat touching his back, as he sprinted forward. Having his knife at hand, Yuusha dodge way too slowly as the knife sank into his left shoulder.
A sickening sound was heard with a swift motion, but what makes Akira more uncomfortable wasn't the fact that he did just stabbed someone in their shoulder...
It was the fact that there was no blood flowing out of the wound as if it just stopped from existing since they've entered this tournament.
He jumped back from Yuusha, and he realized with a shock, that a blurry figure was falling down.
It was none other, than Terry, who is falling down from the sky and with a kick, which was engulfed by a burning aura. Landing perfectly on Yuusha's head, and sent him flying away from the stage.
"Have a good flight!" Said Terry while grinning cheekily. "So? You wanna learn how to flight too?"
Before Akira could answer a granate egg fall down on Terry, knocking him backward.
"You don't know how to fly If I don't teach you that, guy!" Yelled Kazooie loud.
while Banjo facepalmed himself at his panther remarks.
Terry was getting up from the explosion but was stopped halfway through as Akira shouted"Eiha!" He snaps his fingers and a dark red ball of energy hits Terry in the face.
Terry yelped as his face begins to be distorted by the sharp pain. As he stands up, a purple aura rounded him and he could feel the pain flowing through him.
He charges forwards while his knuckle began to emit blue flames, but it would be countered by Banjo who just threw a white ball with an exclamation mark on it, and it hit Terry's side.
He screamed in annoyance as he could felt how his body got dragged down by an invisible pull, and somehow without any Logical reason half-buries him underground.
"W-What the?!" Yelped Terry utterly confused, as he tries to pull himself out wooden floor "That's a wooden ground! I can't be half burrie-" he was interrupted by Banjo, wich the bear was merciless hitting him with a banana?
Terry wiggled his arms in the air at the assault of the bear, while Akira was blinking helplessly at the whole fight of how fast the situation can change in a matter of seconds.
The bear continues as the Fighter just screams so hard that the words were hardly recognizable.
The crowd let out gasps, which all three, not counting Kazzoie, were looking at a colorful ball with the two lines on its surface.
It was a smash ball.
Banjo immediately stoped the banana attack, turned to Akira, and shoots the white inside on the yellow fruit to Akira, which Jumped in a confused yelp, at the reality that a bear just shot a banana like it was a Gun.
Akira tried to smash the ball, but he also could hear how Terry just escaped his strange hole in the wooden floor, which also he jumped into the air.
Banjo used Kazooie as a gun and shots multiple eggs on the smash-ball, which shows by each hit a crack. While Terry tried multiple air kicks to knock down Akira, but the latter dodged all in close-calls.
He pulled out his gun and knife, with the gun he started to shoot at the eggs of the duo from below, and he uses the knife to stab Terry.
Akira's bullets' quickly danced between the eggs and trying of smashing the ball, but Terry blocked the Knife's jabs almost perfectly.
"You are very strong for a young boy, aren't you?" Asked Terry admired while blocking another stab " You are surely confident in your ability. I like that."
Akira ignored his praise, as the next jab hit him and finally knocked down Terry, who falls down screaming, Akira turned around and fired another bullet, but notices with a slight shock, of an egg flying past him to the smash ball.
Both bullet and egg hit the ball, which shattered with a loud crunching sound, as the colors flew away.
Akira could feel a strong force in his spirit, as colorful flamy arura surrounds his body, His black-grey eyes turned into golden ones pulsating with the power of the smash-ball inside them.
Banjo, Kazooie, and Terry, which the latter standing up, began to brace themselves of the attack that will follow.
Akira's eyes flashed up, as he could feel how heart beast faster and faster as if it was an engine going maximum, and he sprinted forward in a quick swift movement.
Akira hit all three, as he passes through while time seems to slow down, in fact, that the fighters he hit were almost frozen in their movements. If one looks carefully enough, one could saw how slowly their movement was.
Akira suddenly began to quickly remember his friends in their special missions, that they did sometimes perform a special attack on an enemy.
As soon he finished the thought, he saw how many dark pink lights appeared and his friends showed up.
They've looked surprised at the whole ordeal, they looked at the situation.
They silently nodded their heads to him and prepared to attack. Akira started to grin victoriously.
At once the Group jumped into the air and performed an all-out attack on the trapped fighters, they passed the fighters with a knife, a pipe as a makeshift bat, and a whip.
Akira landed, while the fighters seem to be undamaged, before he stands up, fixing one of his red gloves.
Then at once, the fighters were turned into trophies," JOKER WINS!" screamed the announcer in his lungs, as his voice boomed from the speakers aloud.
After Akira got teleported back into the smash castle, his friends almost run over him in pure enjoyment over his victory.
"You showed them!" yelled Futaba, " That was crazy!"
Ryuji proudly knocks with his hand on Akira's left shoulder "Hell yeah! first round won!"
"Yeah, you did a very good job..." Ann commented but she began to ponder on an answer "The fight was a great one but also one of the strangest one I've seen... I mean what happened there? Terry got half-buried on a wooden floor and getting smacked by a banana? That's clearly something you don't see every day."
"yes, you are right. But It was fun to watch to see how Akira's face went from confident to completely confused at the item situation," said Makoto with a small smile.
" In my opinion, it was rather more unpredictable," said Yusuke while looking at Akira's face with an artistic look in his eyes.
"But that chaos struck me with huge inspiration! I can almost feel the creativity flowing through me!" Yusuke began to chuckle madly as he pulled his sketchbook and began to draw."Yes! I can feel it. And to my fortune, there are so many fighters to get my Inspiration from!" Yusuke's hand movements became more elegant by the second.
While the rest of the group started to get concerned. "Uh...I think we should leave him alone." said Ann carefully, before she turned her back to Akira "But what was the deal with the smash ball? You've kind warped us into the fight."
The group of friends stared at her in surprise at her saying that.
Akira's face turned into wonder as he started to think about the smash ball's powers a bit.
"As soon I've smashed it, I could feel a strong wave of energy flowing in my heart, and I automatically thought about you as I unleashed that Power." Akira observed, "Does the smash-ball an opportunity to unleash the power of one's soul?"
Matokto positioned her hand in a thinking way "You may be onto something, but we should maybe ask some of the other fighters as well. Maybe the ball acts different by each of them?" she asked around and after some discussion, they concluded to ask the other fighters about the power of the smash-ball.
"But..." Harus suddenly answered, "We should probably not asks some fighters that look like they are going to murder us if we ask that."
"Yeah! You're right! especially not the purple large dragon." Ryuji said determined with a hint of caution "I can feel that this is one is an effing asshole."
The group nodded in unison. Akira started to knead his chin, which Morgana notices.
"is something the matter, Joker?"
"I...wonder." Said Akira curiously "Who Necrozma is. Before we got our lunch, Mario said he had to feed someone with the name'Necrozma'.But...asking him that may sound very awkward...We should better focus on the effects of the Smash-ball of other fighters."
They nodded again and departed from each other.
It was an hour later after the fourth battle of the day as Bowser's phone began to ring again. With an annoyed grunt from the king, he pulled his phone as one of his arms laid on the surface of his desk in his room.
Deep down he knew exactly who might have written an e-mail to him. He opens it up without even looking at the name of the mail, in it stands:'To all who had followed my request, for some of you today will be hear about your first task.
The ones who wich will this task will be for are. Bowser. King K. Rool. Ridley, and Ganondorf. In which I want you to contact your people, and command them to get something for me.
I will provide them with opportunities to contact them without getting spotted, what opportunities those are will be staying in secret, then those things are highly valuable. You will use your people to get the things I want, but what it is, I will be silent about it. Then the purpose of this task is that to see if I can fully trust you, in regards to some of you that have the habit of betraying each other. Without any further ado, I will give you the coordinates of the thing I want.
P.S. The ways of transportation will be fully taken care of me.'
'Bowser closed the app with a confused grunt. "How is the unknown sender going be giving them ways of communicating?" Bowser thought strongly, searching for an answer. "Is he going to send us a pac-WHAT?!" his thoughts immediately interrupt as he notices an unknown app on his phone screen.
He could feel how for a short time his heartbeat quickly, "H-How long was this there?" he thought spooked. He could swear that the app wasn't there yesterday.
He quickly shakes his fear off "Pull yourself together! A true king shouldn't be scared by an unknown app that the unknown sender probably installed, he is now working with...What Did I get myself into?" He grunted annoyed.
He moved his face closer to the app, on the logo was a blood-red chain and was being accompanied by bright blue lines, which he thinks should represent wind. He also notices that both things are surrounded by a dark blue goo. He also notices that the app doesn't have a name.
He touched the app, and the screen changed into a dark blue color. Then a blood-red circle appeared with a text under it, saying:'waiting for connection.'
After a while, the text changed and now says 'Connection found. The session begins.'
The screen split's into six screens, depicting each of the villains, most to Bowser's disdain he let out a grunt. "Krool..." he whispered the other monarch's name angered, which the reptile's face hardened.
"Bowser."
But Before they could trown any tantrum Wario is getting everyone's attention.
"So now what?" The treasure hunter asked annoyed by the seemingly useless session. "Are you calling you army now, or what?"
Ganondorf's face formed a frown "We must work together worms! Whatever the stranger needs, it is valuable enough to ask an Army to take care of."
The space pirate stretches his long neck long as he started to think of a plan "It must be highly secured by something...But I am actually wondering of how YOU are communicating with us. Surely as a piece of dirt of the humans, I doubt you know how you use a phone." Ridley sarcastically remarks in which Ganon spat enraged back.
"Don't you dare to mock me, Pirate!"
"Heh, figures." Wolf answered bored "So you aren't telling of why you are having a phone?"
"What 'phone'?" Ganondorf tried to contain his ignited anger " I am using a crystal ball, that I found standing on my table!"
"What?" Wario gasped a bit surprised "you got a crystal ball? How does this work?"
" This is something not for you, fool!"
"Okay! let's be silent everyone!" Wario tried to lower the tension while holding his hands "I mean should not thinking ahead of how you should command you're armies?"
Everyone got silenced, even Bowser and Krool who are still angered about the fact of working together. But before anyone could've answered a seventh screen appeared, which was entirely black.
"Greetings." Said a deep dark voice. " I am assuming that you had some of a small conflict, based on the faces of some of you."
Wolf grinned "Yes we did, but you must be the one who sends us the messages, right?"
"Correct."
"Then what's the goal-"
"This one." The stranger interrupts Wolf, as on the screen showed a Moon with a white church.
"W-what?!" Bowser's anger from before vanished and got replaced with shock " That's the place where the wretched Mario ruined my wedding!"
Krool began to chuckle madly "What? You moron tried to marry her for the one-hundredth time? That's hilarious!"
"Shut up! you slow-"
"SILENCE!" screeched Ridley as he slams his fists on something hard. "He is about to say our goal of today! FOCUS!" in which Wario and Bowser face turned white.
"Is everyone now listening?" The stranger asked in calmness as if the commotion didn't happen.
After a while of silence, the stranger continues "Yes, Bowser it is indeed the place, but I can assure you that it is not the actual place where the thing is that I want is being hidden by itself."
Wolf raised confused eyes. "By itself? are you saying that the thing is sentient enough to hide itself?"
"Yes." The screen changed showing an underground cavern, which Bowser recognizes as the Place where He, Mario, and Peach fell down.
"That's under the Moon where I fought Mario, and that Idiot somehow controlled my body. Wich, he used to escape a crumbling underground."
"That is also correct."
"Of how much do you know us?" Bowser slowly asked. He was waiting for an answer but also wondered why was he hoping of getting an answer.
"This something I will not say." The stranger nonchalantly says as it was a simple business secret. "But back to it, after the moon underground has fallen on the magma, new paths and caves have been formed. And the thing I want may found a new place to hide in there somewhere."
"Let me guess." Rool spoke up " You want us that our army is going to find, right?"
"Correct. As far I am aware some of your armies have the equipment to bore some holes through some surfaces. But you may be wondering why I want to use all armies." The stranger paused for a moment to let the information to settle in.
After a while, he continues "Then I have a suspicion that there may be some creatures down there."
"So there may be unknown creatures." Wolf observed, "and you don't know what those may be?"
"No. But I know that the goal wouldn't make creatures, which means either that they were always there or that the collapse may have freed them or created them, or they are no creatures."
Wario blinked confused, while the others understand the stranger's thought process.
"But enough talk, I've Placed already some portals that will lead to the underground of the moon, not far away of your armies bases. the last thing I will say is if you found the thing I wanted it to be placed behind the church without looking, and I will take it then. Without any further ado, Good luck." and the seventh screen turned off...
And split up into four others, which showed the armies of the four.
"King Bowser!" said a Koopa in the Koopa army in panic"There's a portal that has appeared close to your castle!"
"Don't worry!" yelled Bowser at the shaking Koopa, "Why are you shaking this much, aren't you a soldier?!"
"Y-Yes I am!"
"Good, then because I am working with someone that has made this portal, and whatever of how insufferable King K. Rool crew is. I want you to work with them, UNDERSTOOD?!"
"Rool?! Bu-" The Koopa protested, but Bowser sharply interrupted.
"UNDERSTOOD?!"
"Yes!"The Koopas almost jumped out of his shoes, as he turned around and a little reluctantly command some of his fellow comrades to follow him into the portal.
As the Koopa's left the Portal, they feel that the Gravity was weaker, and they noticed the white sand on the Surface. After a while, they've noticed that they were on the very Moon of the failed wedding.
"That-that's the place!" yelled another Koopa.
While the Koopa who was leading their group just turned around "Thank you for remaining us..." The Koopa groaned uncomfortably at the Memory of how closed off Bowser was after how the wedding failed. Kamek was pretty busy keeping Bowser's mood in a good position.
" Kooper!" yelled another Koopa at their Leader, "What are those?!"
Kooper turned around with a confused look "Wha-" and he was immediately interrupted. As he saw some Aliens stepping out of the portals, what Kooper couldn't identify of which species they resemble the closest, maybe some crustacean perhaps?
They were was also some red Ninjas with a mask on with a...tear standing on an eye?
Kooper turned his face to the left a bit, and to his annoyance, there was the crew of King K. Rool...truly splendid.
"What by Calamity Ganon's Name, are you, vermins?!" Yelped one of the red Ninjas as he jumped around widely. He was holding a crystal ball in which a dark-skinned face that frowned angered.
"YOU FOOL! You embarrassing the honor of the Yigas!" Yelled the man in the Crystal ball, which almost felled down of the Hands of the jumpy Yiga.
"Forgive me, Lord Ganon!" The Yiga tried to bow and almost letting the ball go. He quickly stood up while holding the ball more tightly "Are those the ones we work with?"
Ganon let out a frustrated sigh. "Yes, those other monsters are for now, on our side...unless you fail this somehow!"
"U-Understood!" The Yiga saluted with a crystal ball in hand which looked in Kooper's eyes completely stupid.
He shifted his eyes to the alien group and heard a scratchy voice, which he presumes comes from yelling too much.
"Listen my space pirates! I command you to work with those others without any conflict!"
One of the Space pirates stood straight as he said obediently "Yes, Sir Ridley!"
The purple Dragon's face made a sadistic smile in the hologram "And you know what could've happened if you fail?"
"YES!"
"Good..."
Kooper could feel how Ridley's voice was taken his confidence away.
He gulped as he turned his head to K. Rool's crew.
"So lads..." The king answered on a screen on the back of a Kremmling, who was carrying a Tv "What will happen if you all are incredibly dumb in this mission?"
One of the smaller ones seems to take his sweet time before answering the question." uhh..." the small green Kremmling said stifled "We...go on vacation...?"
"Yes..." said calmly, which to the false thinking of the green one that let out a sigh. "INTO THE OCEAN TO THE SHARKS! IF YOU FAIL THIS!" screamed loudly, as the green one jumped shocked.
"Kooper!" Bowser shouted as Kooper startled on looked on his small phone.
He took moment to recollect the new faces "Yes, Bowser?"
"Those are the others, Listen carefully." Bowser paused, and Kooper was standing there to make sure of listening every word that would come from his King. "You and the other will go under the surface of the Moon to get something that is there. I don't know what it is but I am sure we'll know if we see it. There's is also a chance that there are some creatures down there."
Kooper shakes in determination "Bowser. I am not afraid of some creatures, we may go even in the coldest north for just you, Our King."
Bowser smiled at the Compliment "That's my men! So now boys! get to work together with them...even if I don't like that dumb crocodilian's crew... I put my trust in you!"
Kooper Saluted as he heard the command, Bowser let out a proud grunt.
"And Kooper..." Bowser slowly says as he was thinking his next words carefully "look after your comrades."
"I will..."
After a while of walking and getting used to the moon's weak gravity, in which the space pirates had adapted it very quickly, which wasn't that surprising to Kooper.
They reached the darkest side of the moon, Bowser and the other's villains had told to enter the underground from there since it goes directly under.
While The space pirates prepared for the imminent descent, Kooper looked at the strange pale moon skyscraper in the distance.
The skyscraper stoned surface glowed pale white in the Light of the Sun, which the latter, was like a bone fire in the vast darkness of Space, if one looked close enough the skyscraper had some bumps on the carved surface.
He'd always wondered why there was a skyscraper, even recent explorers had no clue why there was a skyscraper and why it looked almost identical to the skyscraper of New Donk City.
Some Scientists even had theories that are the place of where the Ancestors of the Humans' came from. In his Honesty, that theory didn't make much sense, to his way of thinking that almost was more like an art piece maybe or some sort of Ritual site...
He sighed.
That Idea makes even less sense...
Before he could finish a thought, a claw tapped his shoulder and he quickly turned startled and was face to face with a space pirate.
Whose's Mouth was dripping saliva. He growled with a very deep animalistic voice "We are finished with building up the equipment." He lifted his left claw and pointed to his other Comrades who had jet-packs on their backs "Ridley commanded us, to carry you all down. So get better to be ready."
Without waiting for any answer from Kooper, the space pirate firmly gripped Kooper on both his yellow arm with his Claws. Kooper yelped out, at the raw strength of the Space pirate as he and the Pirate started to flying down the hole.
As they got swallowed by the tar blackness of the hole, Kooper could feel how it was getting hotter and hotter, and soon a speck of ember light shined in this blackness.
The Light grows bigger, and bigger with any passing moment and a huge wave of heat hits Kooper in the face, as soon his eyes Adjusted at the fiery orange on the Magama.
The space pirate landed on a stone Platform, and grunts as he let go of Kooper's arms "Here we are." Kooper looked at the places where the Pirate had put his claws at, there were bruises of the strength of those said claws. "You better get used to it."
Koopa let out a small "Thanks for the advice..." out.
He looked at the Yigas and Kremlins, of which the former had the respect of the space pirates, while the latter was very afraid of them.
The small green one from before quickly walked away from his carrier.
"By the grand calamity!" Shouted one of the Yigas "We are under the surface of the Moon! Is there where the Golden Goddesses Live?"
The space pirate shrugged his shoulder confused " I don't know, maybe they are somewhere drinking in a pub?"
"You dare to mock them? Only a true sinner could say that!" The Yiga shouted staggered, while he seems to be happy " Exactly like our Calamity who despises them so much. You've earned our respect, to mock the high gods without remorse or a hint of just fooling around."
The space pirate shakes his head and turned on the hologram."Ridley, what is the next command?"
"Go and Look into those Caves, and Platforms, whatever he wants must be there somewhere."
"Understood." Pirate turned the Hologramm off and begin to scouting of the Platform they are standing on.
The Pirate pulled out a scanner and analyzed the silver surface of a cube near them. "Mysterious silver cube found, But it is possible not the wanted target." The space Pirate spoke into an Alien device, which Kooper assumes is a recorder of some sort.
The Pirate pulled the device away and Looked at a stone path leading to a silver wall with a hole in it. " We should walk there." The Space Pirate pointed to the path" The target might be over there."
Kooper seemed a bit confused off how quick that conclusion was, and without any counter answer, they wander off to the stone path.
One of Kooper's group strolled beside him, "Hey...Kooper?" a Koopa in a blue shell asked him carefully.
"What is it?"
"I don't trust the other ones..." He whispered, Kooper looked at the space pirates, the kremlings, and the Yigas.
"I agree." Kooper spoke slowly " I expecting them of shooting in our backs, Dooper."
Dooper shakes his head in agreement "I wonder, of what King Bowser has gotten himself into again, I mean he doesn't have a good record with working with others."
Kooper nodded and pointed silently out:'of keeping their heads low.' Dooper also agreed.
They reached the hole in the silver wall, which stood out like a sore thumb on the otherwise beautifully shining surface.
Without any delay they enter the hole, it was dark in there. One of the Yiga stepped at the front and moved his hands in Ninja-like gestures. A bright ball of blood-red light landed on the Yiga's hand.
"That should assist us in traversing in this Cave." said the Yiga, and the corridor lit up in a red light, the silver walls turned into a dark gray.
They continued walking, as the Light grew in front of them and the darkness creeps behind them...as if it was a snake waiting to strike them...
Kooper could feel how the air inside the Corridor was awfully thin, coming from the heat inside here. He panted and wipe away the sweat on his arms. 'By my shell...it is so stuffy in here.' he hought, but he felt a draft in front of their group.
He let out a relifed sigh, as they soon left the hole...and something was following them.
They've reached a huge platform with multiple stone pillars which has some of the cubes inside them. The amount and how the Pillars were arranged like a forest.
Dooper looked at the pillars thoughtfully "This is weird...why are they in this way?"
"I have no idea." Kooper said cluelessly "But I am certain that this not by a Natural cause...it is almost like someone had built this pillar forest...I have a bad feeling about this. Like Didn't Bowser warn about there might be some creatures down here?" Kooper turned to Dooper while pointing at the Pillars. " Did those creatures build this? Or Is this some kind of trap?"
"I..." Dooper hesitated. "Like how should I know? We should've have taken a magic Koopa with us."
Kooper looked closer at the Pillars... and jumped alarmed.
There was a shadow dashing between the pillars, too quickly to see properly the shape. "There's something here! We have to be careful!" Kooper yelled.
Upon hearing this The space pirates equipped their weapons, the Yigas positioned their stances, and the Kremling prepared their teeth.
One of the Yigas stepped ahead into the Pillar forest. without a second, The Yiga got taken away by the quick shadow as he screamed.
One of the space pirates chuckles as the Yiga disappeared while some of the Kremlings and Kooper's troops went immediately after.
"He must be over here!" A red shelled Koopa yelled and the go the left way, while a red Kremmling chooses the right one.
Kooper quickly grasp his phone and was in the midst of saying, but Bowser immediately interrupted him "Don't ask for a command! go after!" Bowser shouted concerned.
Kooper quickly nodded his head and gave chase. He quickly dashed between the pillars, as he heard another scream from the right, and with a quick motion, he changed his direction.
His legs already started to burn from the scoring heat of the Lava. His breathing got heavier, as took another curve which leads to another platform.
He saw one of the space pirates getting attacked by a humanoid shadow that has long arms, and two holes in his ink-black 'face', which may be the 'eyes'.
The Space Pirate's claw opened and fired a beam, which the Shadow creature dodges by bending its middle body as if was a rubber band.
What the hell is this shit?!" The space pirate grunted aggressively, as the being dodge multiple shots. "Damn it! GET HIT FINALLY!" The being continues to dodge, and launches forward, sweeping away the pirate with its long arms. The Pirate shouted as he flew past Kooper's head, and landed into a nearby stone pillar with a yelp.
"Holy shell!" Kooper shouted concerned "Are you alright?" he darted quickly to the space pirate.
The Space Pirate grunted in pain. "Bad like shit..." He said while coughing red blood, to Kooper's surprise. "That fucking thing may have damaged some parts of my spinal cord..."
The Pirate attempted to stand up and fell down on his knees. To Kooper's horror, he could see how a piece of bone was sticking out of the back.
"OH! You're hurt! Dammit, stay here!" Kooper ordered him with panicked hand gestures. while he was doing it, Dooper came into their area while sliding in.
"Is he Okay? and what is that Thing?" The being which he points at began to slowly inch closer.
"I don't know, but you have to aid the Pirate here! Do you have any Super shrooms?" Kooper ordered Dooper, and before he could finish the question Dooper already has the shroom in his hands.
With a slight nod, Kooper runs towards the shadow creature, which it successfully focused on him now. It began to lift his arms to swipe away Kooper, and it quickly wooshes down. But Kooper reacted fast and disappears into his shell, the shadowy arm hit the shell with a strong force, and Kooper went on sliding across the platform into the Pillarforest.
He smashed against every pillar and landed with another. Budling so much force, that his green shell became from a quick motion to a green blur.
Then he shot out of the Pillarforest and the being tried to dodge the attack, but the shell landed into the black body with full force, akin to a cannonball. The being stumbles back in pain, as his body bends backward and shoots back which hurled back Kooper.
He popped out of his shell with a small grin, "Eat that! The force of Rebound! Didn't knew that? Huh?" He yelled it out in a mocking tone, as the being holds one of its arms against the hit spot.
It began to roar in a hunting tone, that voided out Kooper's confidence, and it created to the other side of the Platform, which Kooper run after it. "Stay here! You damn shadow!" Kooper yelled after the shadow as both of them ran over a bridge connected to the Platform. He runs over the bridge while faintly hearing Dooper yelling of waiting for him.
But Kooper shook his head.
No way he is letting that Thing escape! what if it will attack while they weren't looking? and the more important question was, where did it take, the other people of their group?
His thoughts interrupted as he saw the creature escaping into another hole in the wall. Without any further thoughts, he went in, and the darkness swallowed him whole.
He still continues to run, and he could feel how the darkness cools him rather quickly, his steps were echoing against the walls and bounces around in this Blinding Darkness. He began to walk slower, as his feet were burning. He looked behind, and then realize that he'd run in so far that he couldn't see the light from the entrance anymore.
"Now you've done it..." Kooper said thickly to himself, as realize that he might be in huge trouble now..
He sighed, there's no other way. Even though he didn't like The Idea of letting the thing escape, he should rather go back to the others.
He turned around and tries his best to walk back through this thick darkness as if he was underwater in an abyss.
As he was still walking he decided to touch the wall for stability, as soon his hand stretched out and before he touched the surface, which he expected to be cold and smooth...
He felt instead scales.
Kooper's heart almost jumped through his throat, because of how suddenly quick it was pumping right now.
Even tho he hates to admit it, he was still pretty a little scared from the shadow creature's attack, and know what his hand felt where could be very much scales of a large creature. He was scared like a scared Puppy in the dark cave of a hungry lion.
He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down. " Calm down..." He thought "The thing that those scales might belong to, could be dead or at least very asleep...I am so unlucky. What is that thing anyway?!"
He began to rummage in his shell to pull out his phone. After some struggle, he got it out of his shell...
His mouth lifted up in a bit of confusion. Is he just imagining it or is his phone somehow more light?
He shakes his head, probably he is freaking out too much.
He turned his phone on and searched for the flashlight app...but couldn't shake off the feeling that something about his phone felt wrong, and that's was not for the fact that he had a very bad connection in here to even call bowser.
His mouth formed into a relieved grin until the pale light shinned on the coal-black scales.
He squeezed his eyes firmly, to notice how the smoothly scales were risen and lower by the creature's breathing pattern, and the shape of the scales suggests that the thing here is a lizard or a snake.
Kooper's lungs thignted up in fear that his heartbeat would be too loud that the creature could heard him already.
He looked over the body and notices that were some dark red crystals growing on the back, in which lights weakly glowed.
He began looking to the right, a long corridor of the silver cubes was in the walls, and a weak electric blue glow was shinning far away in the dark distance. He tilted his head to the left and there was another corridor but there was no light.
He looks again to the right, then to the left. pondering which way he should go.
He let out a sigh and goes the left way.
Even tho in the right was there light, he doesn't walk there, who knows maybe the electric blue belonged to the creature, and it would eat him if he had gone that way.
As he walks he sometimes directed the light of his phone on the scales in silent awe. They were to some extend interesting in their mysterious aura...
He shakes his head annoyed, he had to keep going if he wants to get out here.
But as soon he took another step, a loud shake has gone through the whole cave, followed by a loud hissing noise.
In his body, the heart has completely stopped and had fallen all the way down in his foot, as he starts to run for his dear life.
He could hear the hissing louder (that one is definitely a snake). His mind screamed to just run, but his curiosity demands to turn his back to see how close the snake was.
He took a deep breath while trying to not fall over as he turned around.
He wished he didn't and was also glad that he didn't have walked the other way.
The Light he saw from earlier was an electric blue eyeball surrounded by the black scales of the snake. The Pupil of the eye was slit vertical, and the pupil was surrounded by gold.
The snake was getting faster like it was an incoming train in a dark tunnel as the black part of the pupil was getting narrower in each passing second.
Kooper started to breathe heavier as his lungs burned and starting to stumble multiple times, but could always keep his balance.
The snake's head was getting closer, as Kooper run even quicker, his eyes widen as he saw a strong curve the right in his path.
Without any thinking, he slides easily in that curve, as he felt how the stones under his shoes get flung away.
He let out a sigh of relief...
That soon vanished and got replaced by horror as he saw how something colorful hit in full force in his face.
Kooper fell with a loud yelp and quickly saw at the thing that has hit him in his face...or rather who.
Then the thing that has hit him was a hand, and that hand belonged to a crystal-like armor that was glowing in rainbow colors. On one part of the helmet has a huge crystal sticking out like a Mutation...In fact, multiple parts of the armor are having these crystals sticking out.
"...Op..!" Kooper let out a confused gasp, what was that? there was a faint voice coming from somewhere.
"W..k...!Wha...on..?!"
The voice was surely not coming from this strange knight...!
He breathes heavier as he heard a hiss behind him. His mind was hopelessly screaming at the realization that the bastard just punched for the snake to catch up to him!
Kooper turned his head in fear, but knew that wouldn't change anything, and saw hoe the Snake while it slithers, opens it's mouth to swallow him...
...He started to think at the times he happily served his king, as the snake's mouth fell on him, and swallowed him...
"KOOPER!" Dooper screamed at Kooper as he slaps him across his face, which he blinked puzzled.
"W-Wha?" Kooper looked at the face of his friend as he breathes strongly.
"Are you now here with us?!" Dooper shouted at the confused Kooper, as Kooper looked around to realize that he was on the Surface of the Moon. "Don't scare me like that! Did this stone in your hand has to do with your state?"
"Stone?" Kooper asked, but there was no answer as he notices that in his left hand he was holding a dark blue star-shaped crystal, in it was weakly glowing a yellow Light.
Kooper shakes his head in disbelief before he said aloud "What by bird coal happened?!"
"I don't know!" Dooper began to wave his hands around."You just ran after the shadow being like crazy, and I followed you, as I was finished healing the space pirate. Then you just ran into a 'hall' with a Blue Diamond laying on the ground, which you just jumped over it as if was a test sheet with horrible grades on it. Then you yoink this star crystal from the ground, and ran to a way to the Moon surface, in which you are there right now. Then some moments later, I've got a call from the others saying they've found the others, with just some broken bones. So don't worry about them. I then said they should pick up the blue diamond which you Ignored, and Finally, I've slapped you, because you didn't respond to me at all!"
"..." Kooper silently stared at him "That was...a long rant...I am sorry, for worrying you so much..."Kooper looked guilty on the ground like a hurt dog.
"Ey, relax." Dooper's anger flew away and tries to cheer him up "You've gotten at least the...uh, thing. That the mysterious person was probably searching for. Whatever that thing does, and we have gotten a blue diamond. which at least is a good bonus on its own."
Kooper smiled "yeah, I've Think you are right. How boy that mission could be a very good story to post in ne-scratch that...we have to still to deliver the thing behind the church." He said while his friend nodded.
"So there it goes." Kooper said proudly as he was finished to burry the thing, but only so much that the dark blue stick out a bit like a needle from the white sand.
"By the way..."Kooper turned a corner around the snow-white walls of the church. "what happened to the shadow creature?"
"That's our least concern right now...but I still wonder of the 'dream' I had."
"Are you sure that was just a dream?" Dooper asked Kooper.
"I...I Honestly don't know, but I am more confused by the snake and the strange guy in the Armor who pun-" before he could end his words multiple portal open up, and Kooper and Dooper knew that the time has come.
They enter the Portals, and at once all closed. There were no Koppas', Kremlings', Space Pirates' and Yigas'. Like the've never step foot on the Moon.
A Red Portal opens close to the spot were the crystal was buried, and the colorful armor step out.
The Knight began to dig the Crystal out, while the shadow Creature rose up from the abyss behind the Chruch.
"You did it a bit too well, for just testing them." The Knight said in a slightly deep voice. "I think honestly you were very violent, I mean breaking their bones in a quick manner is a bit too hard...Why I am even talking to you?"
The shadow creature let out an unknowingly sound.
While the Knight was finished digging out the crystal "I may be talking, because of how long I tried to chase him and lost his trail. Yes, that might be it, that was...a long time I think...I can't wait to see him." The Knight said, as he and the shadow creature entered the portal, and vanished from sight.
