Kaiju Fighters Ch. 03

Rodan and Anguirus finally reach the docks. Not far from them there is a crowd of people gathering around the warehouse that they can only assume is where the other kaiju are at. They managed to push their way to the beginning of a police barricade began.

Anguirus whistles to get the attention of a close by officer. "Hey copper! What's going on here?"

"A couple of freaks stole some experimental engine thing and are now hiding here," the officer answers and then takes notice of the spikes and wings. "Hey! You two wouldn't happen to be with them, would you?" he asks pulling his gun on them.

Rodan shouts, "Whoa! Man, we aren't with whoever's in there. We swear!" he says as the pterosaur and Anguirus hold up their hands, "Now just put your gun away."

"Yeah, why I should?" the officer seemed eager to pull the trigger.

Anguirus answers, "Because you don't have proof that we are with the fellows in there. And if you shoot us it'll look like a bad cop is shooting at random people. I bet that'll cost more than your job," he makes his point. "How about we make a deal? You put that gun away, then me and my friend will back away from you and out of the crowd okay?" When he finishes the proposal, the officer nods his head and lowers his gun as the kaiju step away until they are out of sight.

Rodan turns to Anguirus, "Great! Now there is no way they'll let us in through."

The spiked kaiju smiles, "Oh, there's a way in."

Rodan notices the way Anguirus is staring at him and asks, "What?"

Before he knew it, Rodan is flying up above the docks holding Anguirus by the wrists. "How on Terra did I let you talk me into this!?" he struggles to stay airborne.

"Stop your whining!" Anguirus tells him. "Coming up from top will give us the element of surprise."

"I think you are actually heavier as a human than a kaiju!"

"Shut it!" Anguirus shouts. "Get ready to drop me when I tell you," he says as they started to fly over a window on the roof. "Now!"

Rodan drops Anguirus, letting him smash through the glass, and Rodan flies down from behind. Both manage to land on their feet. Looking around, they see that the warehouse appears mostly empty until they notice a large computer hooked up to a platform and large round sphere.

The former pterosaur points at the platform, "I guess this is it?"

The Ankylosaur nods, "Yeah, and this must be the engine?" Anguirus walks over to the sphere to examine it. "There's familiar about it," and hums, noticing a faint glow emanating from it. He reaches for the device when a low voice hisses at them.

"That equipment is delicate!"

The kaiju turns to where the voice came from. There are two figures right behind them, both metallic looking.

The one on the left is covered in thin dark purplish armor, hands with silver metallic claws. The boots appear silver and mechanical as well. There is a metal chest plate and going down his abdomen with what looked like teeth of a buzz saw. There are three large, red fins protruding from his back. On his head is a large horn, red visor where his eyes should be, his mouth was revealing a set of razor-sharp metal teeth.

The other figure is much larger covered in heavy brown metallic armor than. Where his joints connect, black cables can be seen. On his right arm, he has a large hand and left arm where there should be another hand is a huge drill in its place. His back has a large plate that splits down the middle with a brown and yellow pattern. This figure's head is completely covered by a helmet, his mouth has a metal guard over it, yellow lens over each of his eyes, and on the top of the helmet has this large horn that almost looks like a battle axe.

Rodan flares his wings and yells, "What're you two thugs doing here!?"

The beetle one starts hopping in place, "That's for us to know and you to find out, birdy," he tells them, eager for a fight.

The smaller one's mouth is then covered by a guard as he tells his brother, "Calm down, Megalon."

"But, Gigan?" Megalon whines. "I want to have fun."

Anguirus leans toward his friend, "Here's the plan. You take red eye and I'll take bug face."

"Bug face?" Megalon scratches his head as he faces his brother. "I don't get it."

Gigan facepalms before pointing at Anguirus. "Just attack the short one."

"Short!?" the ankylosaur furrows his brow in irritation. "That's it!"

"Okay," Megalon charges at them.

They managed to dodge the attack, but Rodan got hit by a red beam from Gigan's eye. As Rodan laid there, Gigan approached with his arms up as scythe blades came out of his forearms. When he went to cut one of Rodan's wings off, the pterosaur jumped and with a flap of his wings, blew Gigan away. "Too slow!" he Rodan taunts the cyborg.

Megalon grabs Anguirus and slams him onto the ground, cracking the concrete floor. The ankylosaur was able to shove the heavy cyborg off to stand back up. Anguirus tries tackling him, but Megalon did not budge and throws Anguirus back onto the floor. Megalon lifts his left arm, and the drill starts spinning. As Megalon tries drilling into Anguirus, the ankylosaur manages to roll over and Megalon gets stuck in the concrete. Anguirus kicks Megalon's legs out from under him and the tanker falls over. Megalon manages to get back up, turn towards Anguirus, raises his right hand towards him to reveal a slot on the back of his hand. A red disc shoots out of the slot and blows up in Anguirus' face. The Ankylosaur just gets back up. The blood running down his face does not seem to worry him.

Meanwhile, Rodan and Gigan are both airborne. Rodan has cuts on his face, arm, and leg. The future kaiju is catching up to him. The pterosaur spins around and kicks the cyborg in the face, that forces him down.

Gigan hisses while standing up. The blades retract back into his arms. Raising them back up to Rodan, grappling hooks fire from his wrists. One wrapped around the pterosaurs' leg and the other around his arm. The Cyborg starts pulling the Rodan towards him.

Rodan tries clawing the wires off, but they are far stronger than steel. His eyes widen when the buzzsaw on the cyborg's chest starts running. The pterosaur furiously flaps his wings, hoping the gale force winds would blow his enemy off their feet. But Gigan is standing his ground.

Anguirus has just dodged a lightning bolt when he notices that his friend is in danger. Looking back at Megalon, the ankylosaur gets an idea and runs a little closer to where Gigan is standing. Not far enough where the future monster would notice.

"Hey, you overgrown cockroach!" he yells at the insectoid. "You bug, me boot."

Megalon tilts his head, "You don't look like a boot."

The Ankylosaur growls, "Just come at me!"

"Okay," Megalon charges at his opponent.

Waiting for the last moment, Anguirus jumps out of the Insectoid's path. Megalon tried slowing down, but his momentum was too great as he ended up tackling his brother to the ground. The distraction is enough to loosen the grappling hooks from around Rodan, so he can free himself.

"Thanks, Dude!" He flies towards the ankylosaur.

"Don't mention it."

The Cyborg duo stand back up, ready for round two. At this rate the fight could go either way. But someone is getting impatient.

"Enough!" A voice booms through the warehouse. So loud that even the people outside can hear it. Suddenly, Rodan and Anguirus are both hit by yellow lightning, knocking them down.

Anguirus raises his head to see where the blast came from. The ankylosaur sees a tall man wearing golden armor on his chest, around is forearms, and his shins, a golden jacket with white highlights, white pants, and black boots. He has large, gold leather wings, long black claws, golden hair that is spiked and the same hair coming down his chin, and two large horns coming out of his head and three smaller horns down the side. When the man smiled, you can see his fangs. And his eyes are so red that when you look into them, it is like staring into a pool of blood.

"G-Ghidorah!" Anguirus says in fear.

Ghidorah chuckles, "That's King Ghidorah to you," Corrected the thousand-year-old dragon.

.oOo.

After Gojira left his friends he wandered around the city for a while. He eventually passes a small diner and decides to check it out. He takes a seat at the counter and picks up a menu. There were a lot of things on there that he wanted to try but there is one problem.

A voice of an older woman reaches Gojira's ears, "What can I get for you?" standing on the other side of the counter is a short elderly woman in an apron, holding a notepad and a pen.

Gojira looks at her for a moment before answering, "Sorry. I'm not able to pay."

"Then get out of my diner!" She tells him. Before he could get up to leave he heard a familiar voice.

"Don't worry about him. Just put the bill on my tab," It was Kimiko, wearing a blue shirt and jeans, and carrying a small bag over her shoulder.

"Very well, Officer," the woman smiles at Kimiko. "What will you have?"

"You don't have to call me officer when I'm off duty, Mom." She tells her mother. "I'll just have some ramen today."

Then her mom looks towards Gojira.

"I'll, uh, I'll have the same."

When Kimiko's mother left, she sat right next to the kaiju. "So, what are you doing here all alone?"

"Just looking for a place to be alone."

"I figured you would be with your friends fighting kaiju. I mean you seemed close back in the ally."

"Yeah, well I'm not the same as I used to be," he looks down at the counter, avoiding eye contact.

"So? That doesn't mean you still can't be friends, Big Guy," Kimiko sees his shame. "Look, Goji, if there is one thing I know about friends is that they won't give up on you even if you give up on them. That no matter what, you stick together."

Gojira just sighs before responding, "I guess you're right," he then puts a hand on where he was wounded. "But with the way I am now. I just feel weak."

Kimiko notices this and reaches for his free hand to hold.

"When we humans say, 'we're only human' we don't mean our species. It means everyone makes mistakes, and that bad things sometimes happen even to good people. But no matter what, everything will turn around for the good of everyone," she was trying to cheer him up, but he still looked shameful. For a moment, the officer thought she had failed. That is until Gojira spoke.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." Kimiko gives him a smile before her Mom brings out two bowls of ramen.

"Here you go. I hope you two love birds enjoy your meal."

"Mom!" Kimiko whines as she removes her hand from Gojira's.

The former kaiju turns to Kimiko to ask, "What do birds have to do with this?" but he only receives a chuckle from the old woman.

She leaves the counter for the kitchen. Gojira turns to ask Kimiko about what her mother said. He decided against it, noticing the change of color to the human's face.

"I, I am so sorry about that," Kimiko tells him. "You know how moms are. They try not to embarrass you but sometimes they can't help themselves."

He shrugs, "I wouldn't know."

"You don't have a mom?"

"At one point I did, a long time ago," Gojira admits. "Other than that, the only other thing I ever had are memories and that stupid title."

"What do you mean?"

"My name 'Gojira, King of the Kaiju' was a given name by humans like most kaiju names and I wasn't the first one to carry that name," Gojira informs her.

"Your name's a hammy down. So, what."

It took the Kaiju King a moment to understand what she meant. "It's not just the name," Gojira continues. "I don't know how or why but for some reason I get flashes of their memories. The ones who came before me. Memories of things I never did, things I never saw, and things I never fought. And among those memories are of times that humans tried to kill me time after time…" he pauses for a moment. "Even of a time they succeeded."

"I'm so sorry, Goji," The officer goes to put a hand on his shoulder only for the former kaiju to shrug it off.

At that moment Gojira faces a small TV in the corner near them. On the screen is an average-looking guy with black hair and glasses wearing a grey suit holding a microphone.

"This is Hiro Sakurai, coming to you live," the reporter introduces. "I am in front of the warehouse where three unusual looking people are hiding out. Reports say that they have stolen an experimental generator."

Gojira stopped listening after seeing a golden wing through a window. "Ghidorah!" he growls as gets up and starts heading towards the doors before Kimiko stops him.

"Goji, wait! Who's Ghidorah?"

"Back in my world he was known for invading planets, conquering, and eventually destroying them. He tried time and time again to invade Terra, but I always stopped him," he hurriedly explains.

"What are you going to do?"

"What I always do. Kick him off my planet."

"But how are you going to get there? The docks are halfway across the city and my car is in the shop," Kimiko points out as they exit the diner.

As soon as they were outside, they ran into a short, stubby man, wearing a black leather vest and a red bandanna on his head. It was the same guy that got away after fighting the gangsters in the alley. He looks back at Gojira and fear forms in his eyes. That look. Gojira is quite familiar with that look.

Kimiko steps up to him, "What are you doing here?" she asks, glaring daggers at the man.

The thug starts shivering, "I-I was only getting something to eat I swear. Don't hurt me! I'll give you anything you want," he pleas.

Gojira at first just stares at the guy. Then he looked past him and saw a black motorcycle with blue flames. "Nice."

"You like it? Hear you can have it!" he hands Gojira the key before running off.

Gojira looks at the key and back at the motorcycle. He walks up to the bike, hops on, examines the vehicle before figuring out that he just needs to put the key in the ignition, and with a turn, starts the bike. He can feel the engine roaring to life. The Kaiju King put his hands on the handles ready to leave when he feels weight added on from behind him. Turning, Gojira sees Kimiko right behind him.

"I'm coming with you," she demands.

"No, you're not!" Gojira tells her. "You'll only get in my way."

"No, I won't. I can take care of myself."

"Aren't you listening?" Gojira lets out a growl of aggravation. "I said you're not coming."

"What are you going to do? Throw me off the bike," Kimiko then wraps her arms around his waist.

Gojira saw no point in arguing with her. "Fine! But I am not responsible for what will happen to you," he tells her. "Now hang on, I've always wanted to ride on one of these," Gojira smirks as he kickstarts the bike.

"What!" Kimiko shouts as it just occurred to her that there was no way the Kaiju could've known how to ride a bike. But before she had the chance to say anything, Gojira was already driving down the street. Managing to dodge every vehicle on the road.

NOTE: Sorry for the hiatus on everything. I've been wanting to write and update for a while, but I've gotten a lot of hours from work leaving me with little free time to write and even less energy to do so either. Not sure how often I'll be able to update but I swear I'll be doing my best.
