Kaiju Fighters Ch. 04
Back at the warehouse Anguirus and Rodan are now savagely beaten and being held down by Gigan and Megalon.
Ghidorah is standing in front of them laughing. "Once I felt one of Mosura's little pets poking around I knew she would send someone. But I didn't think she would send just the two of you. To be honest I was hoping to see my good old friend, Gojira," he mocks.
"Well, you got us instead, dragon face!" Rodan tried to insult him.
Anguirus grunts, "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Ghidorah says before giving the order. "Kill them."
Megalon raises his drill as Gigan brings up his scythe when they hear a loud roar. Then, something smashes through a wall. A motorcycle stops not too far from them. Two people, a man and woman, step off the bike. Anguirus and Rodan smile when they see the rider.
The Rider addresses the woman, "Hide!" and she goes to hide behind a nearby crate.
Ghidorah growls as he realizes who is standing before him, "Gojira!" and he commands, "Get him!"
Gigan and Megalon let go of Anguirus and Rodan as they charge at Gojira. He manages to dodge Megalon's first attack easily, but Gigan slashes his back. Megalon tries drilling into his chest only for the Kaiju King to catch it in his left hand. The still spinning drill tears off the glove and some skin.
Even though injured, Rodan and Anguirus get up to help their friend. But they are forced back down by a focused gravity beam.
Gojira manages to punch Megalon hard enough to push the beetle back. He looks at his hand to find it bleeding. Because of this, the Gojirasaur does not notice that Gigan is about to fire a beam from his eye, or Megalon charging up his horn for a lightning blast. By the time he did notice them it was too late as he was hit in the chest, knocking him back and causing him to bleed even more. As Gojira struggles to get back on his feet, Megalon fires an exploding disc in his face, breaking the glasses.
During the entire battle Ghidorah observed every action. Every time Gojira got hit he noticed there was something off.
The Golden Demise orders, "Stop!"
Both Megalon and Gigan do as ordered, wondering why.
The King of Terror walks over to his long-hated enemy.
Gojira stands back up, ready to hold his ground. Ghidorah now stands face to face with him, looks straight into his enemy's green eyes. The King of Terror raises his hand to the side of Gojira's face. It looked like he barely slapped his foe, but Gojira flew across the room.
Ghidorah laughs as the realization finally dawns on him. "Of course! You've lost your power!" he walks back over and grabs his enemy by the throat. "I am going to enjoy this," seeing Gojira in pain puts a smile on the Space Dragon's face.
Gojira is tossed into the air, only for Ghidorah to fly up to the former Kaiju king and punches him so hard that he busts through the roof.
The people outside marvel at the sight as the dragon man came flying towards the first figure.
Ghidorah zooms past Gojira. The Demon of the Galaxy then faces his opponent and kicks him back to the warehouse.
When Ghidorah lands he notices Gojira is getting back up, still willing to fight. "It's pitiful really," The Dragon man holds out a finger towards the gojirasaur. "You might as well be human," Golden electricity gathers at the tip of his finger just before releasing his gravity beam at his foe, knocking him back into the generator, putting a small dent in the machine. "You don't even deserve your title anymore," Ghidorah states. "So says I, the true King of the Kaiju!" he declares. Ghidorah points at his fallen foe once again. Electricity starts building up, preparing to fire a more powerful gravity beam to finish off the fallen king.
At that moment, a gunshot is heard throughout the warehouse. Ghidorah felt something hit his outstretched arm, causing his attack to miss Gojira, hitting the generator instead and cracking it open.
Ghidorah lifts the hand back up to examine it only to find nothing wrong. Looking down he finds a smashed bullet at his feet. Then, he spots Kimiko holding a gun she had in her purse.
The Golden Dragon laughs, "What do we have here? Some kind of pet," Ghidorah is amused at the thought. "I guess like most pets without an owner, she'll have to be put down," he points at her before Gojira let out a roar.
"Leave. Her. Alone!" Gojira declares. Everyone stares at him as his wounds start healing. He can feel himself getting stronger. The generator behind him is broken and leaking out energy. Nuclear energy. The energy surges through his body, changing him. His nails grew into claws, his canines sharpen became fangs, hair goes from black to a dark grey, the color of his eyes turn yellow with a red ring around them blending into the yellow like flames, and his pupils shift from a black circle to a curved slit much like a snake's.
Gojira then turns to Ghidorah, opening his mouth as a blue glow starts shining from the back of his throat. Ghidorah barely had enough time to put up a barrier to protect himself from the blast of pure energy.
Rodan cheers, "Oh yeah! The Atomic Titan is back!"
Anguirus hollers, "Go get him, Big Guy!"
Kimiko just stares at him in awe. Processing what she witnessed.
Ghidorah turns from Gojira then back towards his allies, "What are you waiting for!? Attack!"
As Gigan and Megalon went for the charge at, Anguirus and Rodan with newfound determination tackles Megalon, knocking him into Gigan.
This enraged Ghidorah as he must do things himself. Both Kings charge at one other, and each throwing a punch that connects to create a shockwave that throws them back.
When Ghidorah recovers, he is tackled by Anguirus, kicked by Rodan, and once again shot by Kimiko. Getting back up, the Tyrant finds himself surrounded.
As they start to close in on him, their attention is brought to the device. The machine is giving off a whirring sound, electricity starts building up, then a portal appears over the platform.
Gigan yells, "The portal is open, Your Majesty. It's now or never!" as he and Megalon ran through the portal.
Monster Zero growls at the surrounding Kaiju and the human, "This is not over!" Ghidorah warns before going through the portal himself. Gojira rushes towards the portal but before he even got close, it collapses, and the machine shuts down.
"WHERE DID HE GO?!" Gojira tries pushing buttons to get it to work. When nothing happened, he started smashing the machine.
Anguirus and Rodan approaches him with Rodan saying, "Calm down, G-Man."
Anguirus places a hand on the King's shoulder, "Sorry, Gojira. But he's gone. It's not like you won't get another shot at him."
Gojira takes a deep breath. "You're right," his snake-like eyes return to circular pupils. "We will see him again and next time, we will win."
"Excuse me!" A voice catches their attention. From the hole in the wall that Gojira made there is now a crowd of people gathering and from that crowed comes two men. One of them looks average wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and a baseball cap and carrying a camera. The other guy is wearing a suit and glasses holding a microphone. It is the same reporter Gojira seen on TV earlier.
"Yes?" is all that Gojira said.
"I am Hiro Sakurai from the news, all of Tokyo if not Japan just witness this battle," the reporter tells him. "What we want to know is who are you people and why are you here?" and shoves the mike into the former kaiju's face.
Gojira was not exactly sure what to say to the human. Then, Kimiko steps up.
"I'll take care of this Goji," Kimiko reaches into her purse. "I am officer Kimiko and I'll answer any questions you have," she pulls out her badge.
