Kaiju Fighters Ch. 15
Back at the café Asagi, Caesar, and Anguirus had just finished putting everything back when they hear the bell ring. Everyone turns to see that Gojira and Gamera have returned. Asagi runs up to Gamera to give him a hug, happy to see him. When she backs away from the hug, she notices the healing scares on his face and also notices the sadness in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" Asagi worries for her friend.
"I had to kill one of the gyaos," he tells her with regret heavy in his voice.
"It's not like you haven't killed one before."
"Yes but this time she was so human. A being I had sworn to protect," he looks at his hand as he remembers the look on that gyaos' face.
"I'm sorry Gamera. That must have been hard for you."
Gojira walks up to them, "What you did was out of defense. If you hadn't killed her then she would have killed you," with that said, the Kaiju King nods at the Guardian.
Caesar walks up to Gojira and places a hand on his shoulders, "That, my friend, is a great sign of respect from him."
"Yeah!" Anguirus chuckles. "It's rare that he gives more than that," and he takes another sip from his 16th can of beer.
Gamera looks at them, smiles, and nods back.
"There is one more thing we have to discuss," Gojira tells them.
.oOo.
After 20 minutes of explaining
Caesar questions, "And you say a door opened and took the remaining Gyaos?"
Anguirus continues, "And this happened before?"
"Yes," Gamera says and Asagi nods in agreement.
The shisha turns to his pupil, "What do you make of this, Gojira?"
"I know Ghidorah well enough," Gojira walks towards a window. "I think he's building an army," and clenches his fists.
"This Ghidorah," Asagi starts. "Is he as bad as he sounds?"
Anguirus chuckles, "He's worse."
"Indeed." Caesar speaks up. "Before this world, Ghidorah was a conqueror of worlds. Turning them into his little playground. And when he was finished with them, he wipes out what remains and moves on. I guess he cannot do that by himself anymore," Caesar thinks for a moment. "Mosura must be informed immediately," and stands up. "Miss Asagi, if I may use the phone?"
"Sure," she answers and Caesar leaves for the kitchen.
For a while there was silence.
"So," Asagi breaks the silence. "What are you going to do after this?"
Anguirus shrugs, "We'll probably head back to Tokyo for our debriefing," and opens another can.
Gojira turns to Gamera, "We could us your help with our job."
"I'm actually rather fond of Osaka," the guardian says as he looked towards Asagi. "I'm sorry but I can't join your team."
"Now!" Caesar walks out of the kitchen. "Who says that joining the team means you have to leave Osaka? After all the threat isn't just in Tokyo."
"Shouldn't you talk about this with your employer?"
"I already have. It doesn't take that long to explain that Ghidorah is trying to take over the world again," the shisha chuckles. "All that Mosura asks for is an address so she can mail in the information sheets."
"Here you go," Asagi hands him a piece of paper with her address on it. "He actually lives in my apartment."
"Oh? Well then," he takes the paper. "I look forward to meeting you again, Ms. Asagi. You as well Gamera. Perhaps over a nice cup of tea instead of destroying your place of work."
The human laughs, "That would be nice."
"See you around, Gamera," Gojira walks up to him holding his hand out.
"See ya, Gojira," Gamera holds out a hand. ready to shake Gojira's when suddenly, his arm blade shoots out, stopping only a centimeter away from Gojira's chest. "Sorry!" he pulls the blade away before letting it retract back into his arm. "I just learned that I had this. Don't have much control yet."
"You should try meditating," Caesar tells him. "It could help."
Anguirus annoyingly asks, "Is that your answer for everything?"
"Of course not, Anguirus. A nice cup of tea may help as well."
At that Anguirus facepalms and everyone else starts laughing.
.oOo.
She does not know where she was or how she got here. Frankly, she does not care. All she knew is that she is the last living gyaos and she's alone. Feeling pain over her lost sister, the albino cannot stop crying. Her wings are just growing back.
Suddenly, she hears a woman's voice.
"Aww! She's crying, Ghido."
The gyaos turns, looking for the source of the voice.
"I think she's too small, Maggie," this time it is a man's voice. "Maybe we should throw her back."
"Who, who's there," the gyaos finally speaks.
Out from the shadows comes two figures. A tall man wearing golden clothing, with red eyes, golden wings, and a tail. And a woman wearing a purple dress with yellowish coloring, red eyes, patches of exoskeleton armor on her arms, and dragonfly-like wings. The gyaos knew immediately that they were not human.
"I am King Ghidorah." Says the tall man. "And this is my queen, Megaguirus," he puts his arm around the woman causing her to giggle.
"Oh, you!" Megaguirus then turns back to the albino, "Why are you crying, dear?"
"I-I am crying because I had many s-sisters. But now I am all alone," the gyaos answers.
"You have a lot in common with Maggie here," the dragon tells her. The gyaos looks over at the dragonfly.
"I had many children from my home world," she walks up to the tearing gyaos. "And then they were gone. I had never felt sadness until then. But Ghido found me and promised me a new hive and vengeance against Gojira."
The gyaos perks her head at that name, "Gojira?"
Ghidorah butts in, "Yes, Gojira. An annoying pain in the backside. Rather tall, with grey hair, black coat." The Gyaos lets out a blood curdling shriek at the description.
"He was there!" she screams. "He was there when Gamera took my sister away from me!"
"It appears both guardians have allied themselves. Perhaps we should do the same?"
the Gyaos looks at Ghidorah before smiling.
