Kaiju Fighters Ch. 20

"By the looks of the webbing," Kimiko shudders at the word webbing. "I guess we're getting close."

"Yeah," Kong agrees.

Manda asks, "So, what do we do when we find them?"

Goro tells her, "I don't know about you but I'm getting Allie out of there."

Kimiko asks, "How are you going to do that?" while she tries her best to avoid the sticky webs.

"With this," he took out the lighter. "Kumonga's webs can't be cut by anything except fire," Goro lights it and uses it to burn through some of the webs nearby.

"That'll come in handy."

Kong stops. "We're here."

"How can you tell?" Kimiko looks past him and spots three large cocoons. One with a bat-like wing sticking out, another with brown eyes showing, and the last with yellow and red slit eyes. One could hear him growling as he struggled. "Goji!" she walks towards him and reaches her hand to touch him. From out of nowhere webbing is shot at her hand and got stuck to a tree right next to them. "What the…?" the agent turns and sees him. "Kumonga!"

"Gotcha!" the spider kaiju yells as he jumps towards her, letting the needles extract from his fingertips. Before the spider got to her, Goro does a jump kick, pushing him away from Kimiko. The spider hisses as he gets back up and quickly jumps out of the way as Manda throws a water whip at him; it only manages to cut about an inch into the tree that was behind him.

Kumonga holds out his hands. Coming down the palms is a line, like a deep cut. The line opens and webbing shoots out that forms into a net that catches Manda.

"Great!" Manda says before reaching out for her canteen that she dropped, only to have it get caught in another net of webbing. "Just great!"

The spider turns back to Goro and Kong. Both are fast enough to dodge but have trouble getting close enough to strike due to him being much faster.

Goro shouts, "Is that all you got!?" as he stopped for a moment to gloat only to end up with his feet stuck to the ground by more webbing. "Oh, come on!"

Now it is just the spider and the ape. Kong can easily take Kumonga out if he could only get close enough.

Goro looks over at the others who are trapped then back over to the ones fighting. He pulls out the lighter and quickly lights the webs at his feet. As soon as he was freed, Goro threw the lighter at Kimiko.

"Get the big guy out!" he runs towards the fight. "Hey! You eight-legged freak! Over here!" Goro shouts at Kumonga. The former dinosaur starts jumping out of the way to distract the big spider.

Kong sees what he is doing. "Your mother was a cricket!" so he plays along.

Kimiko lets out an "Ouch!" as she burned her hand after freeing herself. She then takes the lighter to the cocoon that traps Gojira.

Back at the fight Kumonga has just trapped Goro again by his feet. This time he webbed Goro's mouth closed. And Kong is starting to get exhausted. He's not sure how much longer he can keep this up.

Kumonga is about to take a final strike. However, as he jumps the spider gets hit by a blue beam and knocked down next to Kong. Kong turns and sees Gojira out of the cocoon.

"Thanks," Kong grunts.

"Don't mention it," Gojira growls. "Ever."

Kong picks the spider up and headbutts him into the nearest tree.

Kumonga manages to get back up in a bit of a daze. He is about to jump again, but Gojira grabs onto one of his spider legs and tosses him. This time when he gets back up; Gojira and Kong are standing side by side in front of him. Kong raises his left fist back just as Gojira does the same with his right fist and both Kings throws the finishing punch. Kumonga is knocked out cold and even got tangled up in his own webbing.

Goro lets out an "Ow!" after Kimiko burned away the webbing covering his mouth. He quickly grabs the lighter out of her hands, burns away the webs on his feet, then ran towards the cocoon that has Allie trapped, and freed her.

Allie lets out a gasp of air when she is freed. She turns to Goro and slaps him across the face before shouting, "That's for taking for so long!" The human then grabs him by the collar of his shirt and pulls him in for a kiss. "And that's for rescuing me."

Goro smiles, "I guess that means we're still on for pizza this Friday?"

"You betcha."

"Um, excuse me?" Everyone's attention was brought to Manda who still had a net around her. "Not that I'm glad you two have made up, but do you think you could get me out of here?" she asks as Rodan's free wing flaps in agreement.

Lily is still waiting at the Inn for the others to get back. She is getting worried and thought about calling the authorities before she hears Goro calling out.

"We're back!"

"Where have you been?" Lily asks seeing every one of them walking through the door. She freezes seeing Kong carrying a man with bug-like legs tied up.

The ape tosses him on the floor, "Just doing some exterminating."

"Don't worry about him," Kimiko walks up to her. "I've already called for pick up. He'll be out of here in an hour."

"Okay," Lily sighs, feeling relieved that the spider will not be here for long.

"I need to call my parents to tell them that I'm alright." Allie says as she heads to the phone. "Thanks to Goro," she winks causing the said kaiju to blush.

Rodan then shouts, "And I need to use the bathroom?" as he flies out of the room.

Manda chuckles, "Apparently he had been there since last night. Something about trying a new trick and flew into a spider's web."

"Alright then. You know what this calls for?" Lily asks. "Tomorrow we shall celebrate the return of our friends," she looks at her new friends. "We shall have a luau in your honor."

This excited Kimiko, "I've always wanted to go to a luau. We are scheduled to be here for another two days. Let's have some fun."
