Kaiju Fighters Ch. 30
Gojira and Kimiko enter the building, and the kaiju king immediately gets hit in the head with a ball, causing his shades to fall off. His eyes briefly turn to slits as he growls before turning to where the ball came from. He then calms down once he sees a human child stopping in their tracks, frightened of the kaiju hybrid.
Gojira just leans down and picks up the toy to hand over to the child.
She hesitantly accepts her ball back and hugs it to her chest.
Kimiko then leans over to say. "Hello there. Where's your parents?"
At that moment, Anguirus' gruff voice calls out, "Amy?" their spikey friend, minus the spikes walks through some back doors. The little girl quickly scurries over to hide behind him.
"Sorry about that," Anguirus tells them. "She doesn't seem to do too well with new people."
Kimiko walks up to him. "Ang, who's kid is that?"
He scratches the back of his head, pondering whether to tell them or not. "She's, uh, she's mine."
Kimiko's mouth hangs open and Gojira's eyes widen. "Y-you never mentioned being a father before, Ang," the Agent tells him.
The ankylosaur shrugs, "I wasn't at the time."
Kimiko tries to think for a moment before turning to Gojira, "Hey, Goji."
"Yeah?"
"How long does it take for you guys to, you know?"
"Uh," this is one conversation he really does not want to get into. Especially after getting the talk from Mosura's predecessor while he was still little.
Anguirus then growls. "It's not like…" he was stopped mid shout as the girl lets out a squeak. He turns to the child to see that she has taken a step away from the kaiju. Anguirus takes a deep breath before continuing. "It's not like that. She's mine because I married her mother."
Gojira perks up at that, "You… got married?"
"Yup!"
"Aw!" Kimiko cooed a bit. "Where's your wife? Why haven't I met her yet? How did you meet?" and bombards him with questions.
"She's out shopping, I hadn't met her when you left, and I don't remember," seeing the confused look on the human's face, Anguirus sighs and tells her, "Vegas."
Kimiko's mouth makes an 'o' shape while Gojira looks between the two, not understanding the explanation.
Just then, the doors open once again as a woman walks through carrying several shopping bags. "Oh, Angy!" she calls out before running up to him to give the kaiju a peck on his cheek. "Thank you for letting me go on a shopping spree."
"It was the only way to stop that high pitch noise coming from your mouth," he grumbles.
The woman smacks his shoulder. "It wasn't that bad. Besides, I needed to get some stuff for Amy's room. And a few toys and clothes for her as well," the woman grabs a doll to hand over to the girl, who shyly glances at Gojira while reaching from behind Anguirus to accept the gift. "I did get myself these cute shoes, though," and holds her foot out to showcase her new heels. "Then, I went ahead and got you several replacement shirts and vests. You go through those like crazy. I'm also trying to find a mattress that won't tear so easily," she pulls out a tan shirt to hold up against the kaiju. "Should fit."
The woman is then distracted by a cough coming from behind her. Turning, she finally registers Gojira and Kimiko standing right there. "Oh, you must be Kimiko. I've heard so much about you from the others," the woman walks up to the agent to shake her hand. Then, faces Gojira. "Now, that makes you Go-ji-ra, right?"
"Yes."
"Oh, good. The first time I said it out loud, I mispronounced it. Just like Mosura's. Where are my manners. I'm Mrs. Elizabeth Ishiyama. But you can call me Liz."
Kimiko was the first to speak. "It's nice to meet you, Liz. Wished I had the chance to be at your wedding."
"Oh, that's alright. It was kinda spur of the moment anyway."
"We actually just came from a wedding."
"Really? How was it?"
The two women then walked off, soon forgetting about the kaiju.
Anguirus groans as he face palms.
Gojira turns to him. "What just happened."
"These past couple of days, I've come to learn that it's called girl talk," the ankylosaur explains. "It seems when two females of this species get along, they start chatting and forget about everything else and soon become besties. She's done that a lot with the priestesses and a little with Manda," he then sighs before turning back to the child. "Sometimes, I wonder if she just uses me as what Rodan called a 'free babysitter'? Which doesn't even make sense. Why would want anyone to sit on your hatchling!" he complains then hears giggling of to the side. "Found that funny did ya?" he raises a brow at the girl who only smiles at him.
Gojira just tilts his head at the child who only retreats back behind her new dad.
"Hey, hey," Anguirus turns to the child. "Gojira may seem scary but, he's not that mean. I mean, I wouldn't say he's a softie, but he's softer than me."
The girl steps out from behind her new dad and slowly waves at Gojira. He waves in return.
"See, that wasn't so bad. Why don't you go back to R & R? I'm sure there's something on tv you can watch. If you're lucky, you might beat Rodan to it." At this the girl only nods before heading further inside.
The kaiju king tilts his head. "Can she talk?"
Anguirus grunts. "Not sure. Her mother said she used to be talkative, but stopped once her father disappeared," he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I've never felt this old before. Why do I feel so old?"
Gojira shrugs and honestly tells him, "You are the oldest among us here."
That answer only seems to make the ankylosaur sigh even deeper. "In the old days; it was easier to just step on your problems. I miss the old days."

NOTE: Updates for these are going to slow. The only things I have coming up are series of chapters for different holidays. Don't want to publish those all at once. Especially to far before their respective holidays.
