Kaiju Fighters Ch. 31 Halloween Special Part 1
Gojira, Varan, and Manda are just sitting in R & R. Gojira just sits in one of the chairs closer to the tv area, Varan is in the kitchen area planning on getting some snacks, while Manda lays on the couch just flipping through channels.
Manda sighs. "How is there over a thousand channels, yet nothing to watch?" the former sea dragon then shoots up. "Oh, Terra! I'm going native," she immediately shuts the television off. "So…" she turns to Gojira, "Why didn't you go out drinking with the guys?"
Gojira just shrugs, "It's not my thing."
Varan sits down next to his sister carrying some popcorn. "I just didn't want to end up like Ang?" he smirks.
Manda smacks him behind the head. "Liz is a great human. She said that I'm her best friend. Of course, she said the same about Kimiko. Where is Kimiko?"
"She had some meetings with her superiors," Gojira tells them. "They had questions about our previous missions and whether or not it was a good decision to leave kaiju unsupervised."
The water dragon huffs. "Humans. Even when we're doing good, they still think we're the problem."
It was at that moment Rodan bursts through the doors of the R & R. "We got a problem!"
.oOo.
In the medical room, Anguirus and Baragon are each lying on a bed.
Newt attaches scanners to the kaiju and turns to Dr. Gottlieb who is viewing some screens.
"Well," the English man turns to his colleague. "There's brain activity. So, that's good."
"Yes," Newt agrees. "But we have no idea why they're out cold. If only we could see what's going on in their heads. Hey, Hermann, what if—"
"I'm going to stop you right there!" Gottlieb warns him. "Not only do we not have the right components to build it, but we also have no idea how much time we have to do so," he tells Newt. "Perhaps if we hadn't bargained away our prototype."
The doors opened at that moment and Manda and Varan immediately ran up to their brother. "Baragon?" Manda leans next to him. "What happened?" she growls at Rodan.
"I don't know," he shrugs. "We were just on our way to the bar."
.oOo.
Anguirus groans. "I really don't think this is a good idea. This is what got me in trouble in the first place."
Baragon just slaps him on the back. "Don't worry, Ang. You just need to unwind. Married life can't be easy."
"You're telling me. Liz keeps asking me about the color of the drapes. I'm not even sure what she means. They're white. Isn't that obvious?"
Rodan then just hovers behind them in silence.
Anguirus notes this. "You've never been this quiet?"
Baragon smirks. "He's just upset that my sister told him off. Again."
The pterosaur crosses his arms. "She didn't tell me off."
"Then what did she do?"
Rodan's wings stop flapping as he drops to the ground. "Told me to buzz off then shoved me into the pool. Again."
the other two kaiju got a chuckle from that. Then, suddenly screams come out of an abandoned building followed by a small group of kids.
Baragon shouts at them, "Hey, what's wrong!?"
One of the kids replied, "Ghosts!"
Rodan's wings rise back up. "Yeah, I don't do ghosts. I'm out of here," as he flaps his wings to speed by the building, Anguirus grabs him by the ankle.
"Don't be a hatchling!" the ankylosaur yanks on him so hard, that the flyer is slammed on the ground. "There's no such thing as ghosts."
Baragon helps Rodan up. "I disagree. My siblings and I fought the ghost of one of Gojira's predecessors."
"No, you didn't! You fought another member of his species. Not a ghost. 'Cause there's no such thing."
"Yes, there is!"
"Prove it!" Anguirus points at the building. "Let's go in and find this ghost. And if we don't find anything in an hour, you pay the tab."
"Fine then," Baragon agreed. "And if we find a ghost," then, the side of his mouth turns up, "You have to go with your wife on her next shopping trip."
Rodan then holds his hand in the air, "I vote we just move on and get drinks."
Both clashing kaiju turns to the pterosaur and shouts, "Back off!" causing him to shrink a bit.
The Ankylosaur growls before holding his hand out. Which the earth guardian accepts as they are in agreement. Then, the two walk into the haunted building. Leaving Rodan alone.
After half an hour, Rodan found himself sitting on the sidewalk, awaiting the return of his friends. That is when he heard a scream as several windows in the building shattered. The pterosaur was quick to fly out of the way of the falling glass. Then, Anguirus and Baragon fell out of the windows and onto the sidewalk.
Rodan looks up at the floor they fell from and sees a glow vanishing into the shadows from the window.
