Kaiju Fighters Ch. 35

The albino Gyaos stands next to the throne of Megaguirus. Since coming to the Legion, she thought she would not feel lonely. But despite the many kaiju that has joined their ranks, and the Queen taking special interests in her, the gyaos still finds herself crying to herself.

Megaguirus faces her in time to see the gyaos using the sleeve of her sweater to wipe away tears. "It'll be okay, my dear," the Queen reaches over and comforting squeezes her hand.

The only response the lonely kaiju was, "Thank you, my Queen."

The dragonfly kaiju turns to the empty throne next to her and releases a deep sigh. "I wish my King would get here."

"If I may, your grace. But what is the King doing?"

Even the gyaos has to admit, the lack of King Ghidorah's presence is unusual. He had always been by his queen's side. Except during a few rare occasions for private matters. But lately, hardly anyone has seen him aside from Gigan. Not even Megaguirus.

"He's tending to a little pet project," was the queen's answer.

The doors to the throne room open as the metallic beetle kaiju walks in. "Oh, Queeny," Megalon bows. "Your King wishes to see you."

Megaguirus rises from her seat, "It's about time. Where is he?" she walks towards the insect kaiju. Gyaos went to take a step along with her. Only to stop, believing that she is not wanted. This of course did not go unnoticed by the queen.

Megalon lets out a whine as he slouches. "In Big Brother's playroom. Lucky you. He never lets me in there."

"Very well. Come along, Gyaos," she tells the lone kaiju who flinched at the name. But she follows her queen's command.

"He doesn't want batty to come," the beetle questions. Before he knew it, Megalon felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Megaguirus pierced her stinger through a small gap between his armored plating.

"You don't question your King's actions. What makes you think you can question mine?" she removes her stinger and Megalon collapses. Megaguirus continues out of the throne room with the gyaos following behind.

.oOo.

Megaguirus and the Gyaos enter Gigan's playroom, which is a large room full of machines. The first thing the two see in the room is a large glass cylinder that has a body floating in some green liquid. Not much can be made out about the body. it appears male, but other than that, it has a rebreather mask hiding the face. Traces of scars can be seen across the body and even under the mask.

What truly caught their attention is that King Ghidorah is in a chair next to the cylinder missing his golden jacket. The king has tubes piercing his skin with blood running through it that leads to the body.

Once Ghidorah sees his queen, he smiles, "Maggie!" it fades as soon he sees who is with her. "I said that I did not want the albino here," the gyaos flinches before his gaze. "I do not like how you let her follow you around like a lost pet."

"Ghido. Where I go, she goes," Megaguirus then gives him a sultry smile. "Aside from our private bed chamber."

Ghidorah chuckles at that as Gigan comes from behind the cylinder to remove the tubes from the space dragon. "Very well. If my queen wishes to have her own servant, then who am I to argue?" he turns to the gyaos who flinches from his gaze. "From here on, you shall be the personal attendant to your queen and are to be by her side at all times. Unless she wishes otherwise." The Gyaos just nods as if she was given a choice.

"Now, my King," Megaguirus strives up to him and rubs her hands over his abs and pecks. "Not that I don't appreciate seeing this, but why request for my appearance?"

"My Queen, I apologies for my absence, but I have been busy with this," he turns her to face the cylinder. "What we have here is one of the most powerful kaiju to exist. He could be the grandest of our subjects. A powerful and loyal soldier. However, he is yet to be awakened," Ghidorah explains.

"Why is he here and how come he's still sleeping?"

Gigan steps up to them with a pad, tapping on the screen. "It seems that the Xiliens had hoped he'd be their salvation from their plague," the future monster explains. "They found him unconscious and determined that he was of Planet X in origins and somehow immune to the flesh-eating virus. But they had not finished studying his DNA before the last of their kind fell. His blood dried a long time ago and is in need of a fresh source before he can awaken. After that, he just needs a jumpstart from a powerful energy source, and we'll need a lot of it."

"That is why you are here, Maggie," Ghidorah reaches under her chin so she would look at him. "My kind is capable of syphoning the lifeforce of others. But you? You, my Queen can transfer that same energy from one to another. That is what allowed you to metamorphosis into your current, lovely state," that comment caused the dragonfly to giggle. Ghidorah takes a step back with arms held out. "So, I ask this of you. Help me give life to this warrior!"

"Of course, my King," Megaguirus extracts the stingers and uses one to pierce Ghidorah's chest. Golden energy starts flowing through her arm and soon she is aglow with it. She lets out a moan as the energy feels good. The ancient insect then takes her other stinger and smashes it through the cylinder to pierce into the body. The glow moves through her other arm and soon leaves her body entirely. Megaguirus gasps as she retracts her stinger before collapsing.

Ghidorah and the Gyaos are by her side. The Astro Monster cradles his queen. "Maggie?" at the sound of her name, Megaguirus eyes flutter open.

"I knew you were powerful, but wow!" she smiles blissfully.

Ghidorah chuckles before turning to see the lifeless body on the floor and he lets out a low growl.

"I'm sorry, my king."

"It's not your fault," the King of Terror glares at the cyborg. "It's his!" he then turns to the Gyaos. "Attendant, take that thing and dump it somewhere. I need to have words with the space chicken," he gets up and approaches Gigan. "You said it would work!"

"Your majesty, I…" he pleads just as the black claws of the dragon wraps around his neck.

The Gyaos goes over to the body and turns it over. She notices that some of the tubes are still attached to it and removes them. Then, she removes the mask and finds that she is the one on the ground and the body is on top of her. She can see that the removal of the mask has revealed a mess of black hair and red, glowing orbs and some scars can be seen behind the strands. The Gyaos prepares a supersonic beam, only to have her mouth forced shut by one of its hands. The eyes spark with a golden glow as it readies to throw a golden energy charged punched. Suddenly, a blast of gold lighting knocks him off the Gyaos.

"That's enough!" Ghidorah calls out as he approaches the body. "No need to kill an ally, X."

Megaguirus helps the Gyaos up and gives her a worried look. The lonely kaiju could only stare at the person that tried attacking her.

It sits up and holds their arms up in an attempt to keep his face hidden. "X?"

"Do you not know your own name?"

Instead of an answer, X just clutches his head, trying to remember anything before waking up.

Ghidorah snaps his fingers, "Gigan!" and holds his hand out. The cyborg walks up to him to give him a helmet. The Grand King then holds it up to X, he quickly takes it, places it over his head, and soon calms down. The helmet looks bone-like in structure with a draconic design, with fangs and two horns on his head. It hides everything except his eyes. "X is your designation. For you are all that's left of the people that once roamed upon this dead planet."

"Why was I created?"

"Your initial creation is unknown to us. However, it seems that the Xiliens hoped that you would have cured their illness. But by the time you were ready, the last Xilien died."

"I, I have failed my purpose before I had a chance," he looks down at the floor. "Now I have none. I ask that you end my existence," X looks up at Ghidorah and pleads. "For there is no use for it."

"Rise!" Ghidorah commands and the super monster does so. "The intended purpose may be gone, but that does not mean you cannot fulfill another. This planet is dying and may not last more than a few decades if we're lucky. But there is another planet capable of sustaining life. One full of pests that are killing it themselves. We can liberate that world to be our new home. So that we can thrive. You want a purpose? That is your purpose. Do it as your duty as a warrior for the Legion. Do it as a general for my army. Do it…" a smile creeps up on his face. "…as my father."

"Your… son?" he tilts his head to the side. That declaration stunned everyone in the room. Even the Queen is wide eyed.

"Yes," the Ghidoran nods. "For it's my blood that now flows through you as does my power," and holds his hand to his chest to emphasize his point as sparks fly around it. "You have this same power, and I can teach you how to use it to the fullest. Do you understand, X?"

"I do," X kneels. "Father."
