Kaiju Fighters Ch. 47
Liz wanders down the street with her phone up to her ear. "Come on, Angy. Pick up!" as she gets voice mail once again she throws the phone into the wall of the building she passed by. With a rumble the entire building collapsed. The woman is startled by this and falls onto the street.
"Yeah!" her husband is heard shouting. "That's why they called me the Thunder Ball!" he bows to an imaginary audience. He then notices his wife sitting on the street. "Liz? What are you doing here?"
"You just, you just destroyed a building," she gawks as she is helped up. "Why?"
"I just needed to let off some steam after talking to that guy. He really riled me up!" he flexes his muscles, and his spikes are extracted from his body. "Luckily, there was a sign saying this place was scheduled for demolition. So, I decided to do the job for them."
"Oh, Angy," the woman walks up to him and runs her finger down his horn and his spikes vanish. "I want to ask you something. How come you removed the prenup?"
Ang grunts. "I don't see much value in money," he chuckles. "Aside from buying beer and I'm able to do that with the celery from my job."
Liz giggles. "I think you mean salary."
"Whatever. But I've come to understand that not only am I old. I'm really old. And I've soon realized that my job is dangerous, and I know that if something were to happen, you and Amy need to be taken care of."
The woman smiles before leaning down give her husband a kiss.

After Gojira left the interview, everyone remained in the R 'n R to wait for the investigator's decision.
Gojira speaks up. "Whatever happens," he wraps an arm around Kimiko. "I know everything will be alright."
At that moment, Tendo strolls into the room. "So, this is what happened to the budget?" he comments as he does a three sixty. He soon notices everyone gathering around him. "If you plan on jumping me to keep me from delivering my report, you're too late."
Anguirus slouches in disappointment.
Mosura steps up to the man. "Surely there's something you can do."
"Nothing I can do will change their mind," Choi walks up to a counter and opens his case back up to pull out Kimiko's badge and Maser Pistol. "You'll be needing these."
"But, but I quit?" she pushes them away.
Gojira's head jolts to her. "You did?"
The investigator nods his head. "She did?"
Kimiko clenches her fists "I'm not leaving Goji!"
"You don't have to. Even though you're easily replaceable the Agency concluded that they can't lose you because they cannot lose him," he points at Gojira, and everyone stares at him. "Your boyfriend gave a speech not too different from yours. He knows you value this job and does not want you to give it up. So, he says that he'll quit so you can keep it."
The agent turns to him. "Goji?"
"Every single person I've interviewed agreed that he is perhaps the strongest person here. The Agency believes that he's the greatest asset against the bad guys. Because Gojira is so noble both of you get to keep your jobs," Choi reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out an ID card. "By the way, here's your club membership back." The kaiju king accepts it.
"We get to keep our jobs," Kimiko lets out a sigh. "I get to keep my job."
"Well, half your job. It was also decided that due to you being an item now, the Agency thought it best that someone else be the liaison and send in the reports."
Newt shouts. "Great! They're probably send some with a stick stuck up so far up their—"
Tendo cuts him off "Hey! I might just pull that stick out and beat you with it."
"You're the new liaison?"
He smiles and tells him, "That I am," as he closes his suitcase and turns to Mosura, "It seems I'll be spending some time here, Ms. Hikari. Is there any space for me to set up a personal office?"
"This way if you will," she gestures, and they work their way out the room.
Gottlieb limps over too Newt. "Did he seem a bit off to you."
Newt just shrugs. "Must be the new job, Hermann. Welp! Back to work."
.oOo.
Mosura opens one of the spare rooms. "Fill free to use this room. We can have a desk ordered within a week. The bed will also be yours to stay in if you wish."
"No need for a bed," Choi insists. "I have an apartment for me and the family set up."
"They are free to stay as well."
"Thanks for the offer, but I rather keep my job life and family life separate."
"If that's what you wish. The offer will remain anytime you need it."
"Thank you, Ms. Hikari and if it's any consolation? I hope you find your daughter."
The woman sighs, "Thank you," and with that she left the investigator in the room.
As soon as she is out, Tendo locks the door and then pulls a device from his suitcase and runs it over everything in the room.
Once the man was satisfied that he is secured, he opens his jacket a bit to reveal a silver gorilla pin with a blue light in its mouth. He taps it and his image flickers to reveal a different man with tanned skin and blond hair. This stranger pulls out an earpiece and sets it in his ear. "Covert Specialist Cam Mele, reporting in."
"Director Amaki here. Was the mission successful?"
"Yes and no," Cam admits as he falls back on the bed. "It seems that not only is the Agency invested in this Operation, but the Prime Minister is as well. So, no go on getting rid of Gojira. But I managed to charm myself into them letting me be their contact. I have successfully infiltrated the Kaiju Fighters."
"I'd rather have both assignments accomplish, but at least you've begun to build trust. Well done, Specialist Mele. Do the doctors suspect anything?"
"Nah! They're as clueless as everyone else. You sure that the real Tendo won't just pop in for a visit without warning? It be embarrassing for a professional like me to be caught off guard like that."
"Choi is preoccupied assisting with Project Hunter in an undisclosed location. He will not be around for a while."
"That's a relief. Expect my first report next week. Mele over and out."

Kimiko now sits at a table in a nice restaurant, wearing a blue dress, waiting for her date. She and Goji finally decided to go out since the danger had finally passed. The agent is honestly scared. The two have hung out before but never in such a way that would tell people that they are a couple.
Just then a woman's voice reaches her ears. "This seat taken?" looking up, Kimiko sees a woman with long green hair, wearing a green dress with a rose in her hair.
"Yes, actually," is the agents reply as the woman sits anyway.
"I won't be long. I need you to deliver a message to Gojira."
As a reflex, Kimiko reaches for her purse, ready to draw her Maser if need be. "Why?"
The woman senses the agent's aggression. "I'm no threat, Kimiko. But my other half is," the confusion is evident on Kimiko's face. "Perhaps I should start at the beginning. My name is Erika Shiragami."
To be continued…
