Kaiju Fighters Ch. 48

A woman with green hair has a rose set in it is closing her floral shop for the night. Just as she closes the register, the woman stumbles a bit.

"Ms. Shiragami!" calls the woman's assistant. "Are you alright? You look a little green. I mean more than usual."

"I'm fine, Yoko," she insists. "Just a little tired."

"I bet," the assistant laughs. "You started from selling a small basket of flowers to a full shop in a matter of months. Your flowers never seem to wilt. In fact, how did you stay in business during winter?"

Shiragami just smirks. "Now, that's a trade secret. Why don't you go ahead and go home, Yoko? I'll finish up."

"Well, if you insist," Yoko grabs her purse from the back room. But before leaving, she points at her head. "You might need to change that flower? It's wilting."

As soon as Yoko was out the door, the woman locks it and searches for the nearest reflection in the room. "No, no, no, no!" she picks up a small tin pan and her reflection shows that the rose in her hair appears to be dyeing.

Just then glass is heard shattering as two men break into the store. Unbeknownst to them and the woman herself, her eyes glow as her teeth turn razor sharp.

The Next Day.

Ms. Shiragami now sits across from Kimiko within the fancy restaurant. "My name is Erika Shiragami."

Kimiko loosens her grip from her purse but is still ready to draw her Maser Pistol from it if necessary. "Okay? You say that as if it explains why a stranger is sitting across from me."

Erika shakes her head. "I guess it wouldn't. I doubt any of your friends know me by that name."

"What name would they know."

The green haired woman refuses to answer that. "Look, I really need you to deliver this message before she wakes again."

"Who?"

"Just…" the woman nearly shouts as her eyes glow yellow briefly and the rose seems to darken. She takes a deep breath, and her eyes turn to normal. "When you see Gojira, tell him that the slumbering rose is wilting, and she'll awake. Do it before I'm used to harm someone else," the woman turns away. "He's here."

Kimiko faces the same direction the woman was looking only to find an empty wall. "What?" when the agent turned back Erika had vanished. Her attention is brought away from the now empty seat as she hears Gojira calling her name.

"Kimiko!"

The agent turns to see her date walking up to her, wearing a suit and sunglasses, and a security guard holding onto his arm being dragged with him.

The guard gasps. "Ma'am, this gentleman insists that he knows you?"

"Uh, yeah? He's my date," Kimiko tells him. "His name is on the reservation along with mine."

Gojira turns to the guard and growls, "Now do you believe me?"

The guard slowly let's go of the kaiju's arm and slowly walks away.

The kaiju king sighs as he is about to sit down when Kimiko stops him.

"We might have to take a rain check, Goji," she sighs herself and sees her date with a questionable look. "What does the slumbering rose mean to you?"

Gojira clutches his head as a memory flashes before his eyes. One of his father getting entangled by vines from a giant rose.

Mosura arrives at the crime scene of a floral shop along with her priestesses. She sees that there are two body bags sitting on stretchers. Her attention is brought to a familiar Australian voice.

"Ms. Hikari!" Captain Jetson walks up to her with a salute.

"Captain," Mosura bows to greet him. "What do we have here?"

"It seems we had an attempted robbery last night."

"There must be more to it than that," the guardian of peace follows Jetson to one of the body bags.

"The victims were found tied up by the assistant of the store owner," he gestures to a young woman visibly shaken from what she found. "It was not long after that we were called in and when we arrived we had to cut the victims out."

Mosura holds her chin, thinking for a moment. "So, was the employee killed before or after being tied up by the robbers."

"You misunderstand, ma'am," he unzips the body bag. "The victims were the robbers."

Mosura's eyes widen as Moll and Lora gasp at the sight. Before them is the body of a man with a thorny vine wrapped around him, plants growing out of gashes and cuts along his body, and something green oozing out of his ears, nose, and eyes, there is also a rose sprouting out of his mouth.

The soldier turns to the kaiju. "Any thoughts on who did this?"

"I know of one," she finally turns away from the body. "I need to talk to the assistant," and walks over to the shocked woman. "Miss?" Mosura sits next to her. "My name is Mosura Hikari. I need to know exactly what happened."

"I don't know," Yoko admits. "I just got in and it looked as if the plants themselves attacked them. How is that possible?" she clutches her head.

"It's hard to explained," the guardian of peace tries to calm her down. "What can you tell me about last night?"

"Nothing. Me and my boss were closing before she told me to go home early," the woman then jumps up as realization dawns on her. "She was there and alone!" Yoko turns to Mosura. "You have to find her! Ms. Shiragami has been so kind to me and does not deserve the same fate as those men!"

"Shiragami!?" Mosura finds that she has grabs the woman by the shoulders at some point. "As in Erika Shiragami?" that got her a nod from Yoko. "Do you have a picture of her?" Yoko reaches into her purse to retrieve a picture of her, and her boss taken on the day the store first opened. The guardian takes the photo and focuses on the image of the woman in green with green hair and a rose in it. She then hands the photo over to Jetson. "Get word out that this woman is dangerous and that they should call in any sightings of her."

"What?" Yoko shouts. "Ms. Shiragami is not dangerous! She is the kindest human being."

"I'm afraid not. Erika Shiragami hasn't been human for a long time."
