She was home…

Rose was finally back in her home.

Oh Orianna...with its wide streets bathed under the endless starry skies that glimmered time and time again like the tears of gods. The sound of music filling the air from morning to sunset with melodies of a thousand composers, the smell and fragrance of her homeland soil wrapped around perfumes and the cool winds that blew from the north.

The smiles from servants and the guards alike as they met her golden eyes…

The bows and pleasant cries of welcome home from the citizens who took notice of the peculiarity of the carriage that made its way through the street.

And lest not forget the moment she returned to both her parents embrace, her father who was still trying to wrap his head around that she was not an outlet of his most desperate thoughts to have her at his side and that she really was real or her mother, who had been apprehensive and hurt at the thought that no one had decided to inform her of what had happened to her until now, though pushing away those bitter words and future accusations for later as she surprisingly mellowed down and held her tightly against her.

The thought of having almost lost her making the two of them act outside of their royal persona for a while. And if she was honest...she was not dissatisfied with that.

Sharing dinners..

Reading fairy tales before sleep…

And sometimes, though rarely even playing together.

..

..

It was strange, was it not? To consider the golden cage that had been the palace like an old friend she had been away from for far too long.

And like one, it had welcome her back with open arms, however she was not ashamed to say that the first thing she did when she arrived was slump down on her old room and sleep for an entire day as she tried to shed out both past and future frustrations as-well try to gain a semblance of peace from what had been a rather hectic travel.

Not all too traumatic this time at least…, that at least she was thankful for. The travel from Midgard to Oriana been rather short all things considered, though it may have been with the way her head had been on the clouds until she touched ground.

She really was lucky to be here today…

She was lucky to be alive.

She really was not gonna nag her mother about how tiresome some of her classes were ever again, compared with almost dying..those were a godsend.

Which it was why what she was about to do weighed heavily on her as she took another breath, her lips seal tight as they felt dry.

Her golden eyes darting slowly from left to rights as she tried to convey her thoughts into words, having rehearsed this moment a thousand times in her mind, knowing that sooner or later she would do it, that she would may her request/demand….only to find it a littler more harder to do so in reality.

Perhaps it had to with that nagging thought at the back of her mind that if she "did" follow through...she should know that at best, she would sour the waters of this fine few weeks of having returned to her old life.

Really…, why was it that she was more fearful to hurt her parents feelings now than she was when those bandits had been a breath away of skewer her alive..? It did not made much sense, and yet...she found herself caring a lot more for the endless scenarios of what her parents would say...or worst, react to it.

Did they not suffer enough?

Where they not making deaf ears to their duties to spend more time with her..?

Was it right for her to do this..?

..

..

..

Rose took one deep breath, clenching her jaw a little bit as she subconsciously straightened her back.

No, right now its not time for doubt. She had made it this far...I should be

``Rose, is something wrong? Ate you having a stomach ache..? You don't look with appetite..´´

The young princess could not help but flinch when she heard the sound of her fathers voice address her, his tone soothing...yet there was a pang of worry behind it.

Rose rose her head, surprised that she had been staring all this time onto her plate and met her fathers gaze. Gold met gold, and for a brief moment..she saw her reflection.

She really was not good at keeping her thoughts from surfacing on the exterior...wasn't she?

``I..was just thinking about something father..´´

``I hope is not about a boy, my dear…´´

This time it was her mother who spoke, joking even as she brought a glass of wine to her lips, earning a brief chuckle from his majesty.

Rose shook her head, perhaps even rolling her eyes as the dread she had felt bled away from her body.

``Nothing of the sort, mum...´´

``Are you sure? There is not even a pretty guard, or staunch noble that has caught your attention?´´

``N-no, why would that be even the case..?´´

``Not even the one person who rescued you..?´´

``W-what..!? No! Its not about him...´´

``Oh? So there is a boy…´´

Rose felt her body flare up in clear fluster as her thoughts betrayed her bringing the memory of a certain raven haired boy into her head for just a moment.

``Mum!´´

``Hahaha...sorry dear, I could not help it. Still, its good to see that the royal bloodline is secured. I wonder what kind of boy ensnared our little angels heart.., he is pretty at least, right Rose..?´´

If she was not blushing before, she definitely was now...

``I-I...he...´´

``I don't think talking about those things is appropriate when dining, my beloved..´´

The promptly and fateful intervention of her father spared her any more teasing as her mum switched her attention towards him.

``Ara, ara..? And why is that?´´

``I suppose that Rose will tell us when she feels ready...´´

``Hah! You say that because when you were young you never had your friends to talk about it in earnest, my king…, us women are more...flexible in our thinking..´´

``Perhaps, though it doesn't change much of what I said, does not?´´

``Hmm….true, but does it not worry you a little bit how you our dear reacted to the question?. Now that I think about it, I am sure you did not share much about this mysterious benefactor to either of us…, did you now, Rose?´´

``I...I did told you about him..´´

``A brief affair my love, I barely got any of the details...´´

``Though I know that my wife is merely trying to poke for a chance of self indulgence.. , I can not help but agree that you did not say much about him, Rose...´´

To be honest….Rose was not that much against that notion.

The thing was...that knowingly or not, her parents were derailing her of what she had set herself to do.

``So…... leave no details out. Mom and dad would want to know who this boy is. Just in case we have to no longer worry who will become our future son in law..´´

The distant sounds of bells ringing in the distance and the blurry image of a white dress passed before Roses mind.

It was only through sheer force of will that she did not broke into a stammering mess on the spot.

Why were they going that fast? They had just jumped all the steps that were in between...!

``W-why?´´

``Why not?´´

``Can we….leave this aside. It was not what I wanted to speak about..´´

``Well, if that is what you wish…´´

``It is..´´

Her mother looked at her with a knowing smirk, though it was not followed by her eyes as they hardened a little, more than likely disapproving of her cut and hasty reply, though at least not stating that.

All in all, it was the response that she had expected from the matriarch of the royal family.

However, Rose knew that this was not the last time she would hear about this, but the warm mood of the room would keep her mum from pushing the matter for now at least

And so the queen of Orianna did as she leaned with grace against her seat, placing brushing some of her short, golden hair to the side as she went back to retrieve her glass of wine. Crossing her legs behind the table

``That's fine, still…it makes one wonder why got you so worried my daughter. What is what you wanted to say…, my dear?´´

Rose opened her lips, holding her breath with one hand while the other pushed it forward.

``I wanted to...ask about something.´´

``Something….?´´/ ``Of course dear, anything you wish..´´

``It is..´´

``Is it another instrument..?´´/ ``Another set of dresses perhaps..?´´

``No, its-...´´

``You want to go to the opera house? I heard that there is a new play from the author that you liked so much.../ Would you want to open a ballroom in your name? I am sure the nobles would be delighted to greet you in person...´´

``No, no its not something as mundane as that...´´

``You are feeling tired/ You want us to call the healers..?´´

...

Rose took a deep breath.., exhaled and repeated the process one more time.

She knew what they were doing.

She understood why…and she was not angry about that, though a part of her whispered that she should. Sometimes a parent could not dedicate their whole time to their children, more so when they were royalty.

With her father having to duel with words day and night with the nobles of the kingdom to keep things well and working...or her mothers endless streams of parties and lavish life that made it look like she lived for the opera and the spotlight...

But after she had been taken and brought back there it seemed to be a change…., milder in others rather than all, but a change nonetheless.

Perhaps...this was their way to show regret at their inability to protect her….or give her the attention that she should have been given.

Who knew, perhaps had her father been with her during that stroll...those bad men would not have dared touch a hair of her head.

Or not...

With that last thought passing by in her mind she shook her head and placed her hands over the table, slowly standing up from her seat as she sent a resolute glare to both rulers of Orianna, her lips parting ways as she spoke with all the courage she could muster..

``I wish to learn swordsmanship...´´

The sound of those words echoed softly into the vast area that was the dinning room of the castle that Rose and her parents resided in for the moment under the warmth and candid touch of the lamps and candles that illuminated everything around her, making metal and cloth alike glow and glint, making it look like she was swimming in a small ocean of stars.

The slight quivering of her lips as she had tried to get her bearings and brave on even if it meant disrupting this pleasant night... as-well the noise in between of the clattering of silvery cutlery and the voices of her parents as they talked and laughed about matters that were beyond her young minds scope almost silenced them.

With the way her hands had started to grow sweaty and her hear-beat seemed to only grow in its pace each time the thought to speak up what she wanted to say crossed her mind….perhaps it would seem that in truth she did not want to be heard.

But they were not ignored..

No, not at all….. for whether she had wanted it or not...her words just came in and slip between one of those briefs moments of silence. Like when someone who is not aware how to make small talk tried to make a simple and plain joke on the spot...only to draw the attention of everyone around them.

Rose chew her lip. She did not know how to explain it, but as she stood there, sitting on her seat and holding her breath...she felt that the life of the room had slowed down to a crawl and the air became a little more heavier.

The light of the candles a lit bit too bright..

The closed windows creaking louder and louder as the wind outside howled without end.

The table seemingly growing larger and larger in size, even though she knew all too well nothing of the sort was happening.

The sound of cutlery slowly been left to rest over plates reached her ears not a moment too soon before her parents tilted their heads in her direction, her father bearing a curious visage while her mother was

For a moment Rose felt bad for even uttering those words…

In a few more minutes she would have more important things to worry about as the proverbial can of worms started to roll down….and there was nothing now to stop it.

The queen was the first to break the silence that had weaved its way between them. Her voice was not shaky, in fact it was clear that she was a bit confused, clearly having not heard her quite right, yet one could not help but notice how brittle it was.

``Rose dear, could you repeat that? I think I missed it..´´

It was then that Rose understood that her mother had definitely heard her….she just had not come to admit it...

Rose felt a shiver of cold crawl up her back, the air growing even more heavier with each intake of air that made its way into her lungs. As her golden eyes mirrored Reinas.

Her father however was leaning against his seat, allowing the weight of his body fall against it as he appeared to be stuck in place, unable to do anything but observe an imminent collision. His eyes troubled, but unlike Reinas own...there was a sense of intrigue to them.

Rose chew her lip before she resumed on...or in this case, parroted the very same words she had uttered before as she armed herself with all the valor she could muster.

``Mother, father...there is something I want to ask of you..´´

Two pair of eyes stared at her, but only one answered

``What is it my daughter…?´´

``I want to learn swordsmanship…´´

..

..

..

``…...what was that, Rose?

``I want to learn the ways of the sword...´´ Rose parroted again, no, stated with conviction! Placing a hand over her chest as she stood as tall as she could. And after that? There was only silence…

Brittle and cold...she was sure that she could cut it with a knife if she tried it, but like any other silence...it was devoid of making her deal with her thoughts when there was nothing else to distract her mind

That was it...

It was done…

There would be no doubt about it, no moment to second guess or pretend ignorance of the matter as she watched the regal, and cold royal expression that her mother usually bore to hid her true thoughts under layers and layers of practice broke and shatter.

Starting with her eyes slowly shrinking into pin size points, her features folding and twisting in something utterly unladylike as the color of her face was drained, leaving nothing but a pale shaft behind. Her father was faring much better though, a bit pale...yet his eyes were merely denoting curiosity and wonder.

She pay those things little mind.

``I want to know how to defend myself´´

``I-what?´´

``I want to become stronger so that nothing bad h-...when something bad happens, I can do something about it..´´

She corrected herself as the words of the raven haired boy echoed in her mind, reminding her...that sometimes bad things happen for no reason.

Perhaps she could not stop those things from happening, it was a bit too much naive thought to think she could...but no one could tell her that she could not contribute to make things better.

For her.

For her people.

And for those she cared for.

That was why this was necessary...

``I need this, I need to do this…for both my sake and Oriannas.´´

She said, however it would be her father who would break out of their stupor first. The aged king leaning a little bit forward, pressing one of his arms over the table while the other remained covering his lips.

``Rose, I am understand that you went through a bad experience when we went to Midgard, and I am sorry for it..´´

``Father…´´

``But what you are asking...may be a bit too much..´´

``A bit too much..!? ´´

Both of them flinched when the harsh, sharp words of her Queen cut through the air like blades through butter. Their touch icy and freezing the two of them on the spot.

``My "dear" husband….you have a funny way to say that she wants to put herself in harms way..´´

``Reina, dear...you know what I meant..´´

``Mother, I know is hard to understand… but I don't want to be scared anymore…´´

Reina stared at her husband first, her expression unreadable to most, yet Rose knew that her mother was anything but pleased by what her father had said before she tilted her head in her direction. Her expression still hard, though the brittleness of her features tried to soften a bit.

Failing though..

``We have guards for that, Rose...that is what we pay them. That is their only use and worth...´´

``And when they are not there to help me..?´´

Her mothers face soured and cracked even further, her eyes blazing both with challenge and a pang of frustration.

``They will be, we will make sure they are..´´

``Like when I was kidnapped..?´´

It was petty of her to remind both her parents of that day, of that failing of them…, but she was not given many options to make herself heard above the wishes . And fortunate had it...that seemed enough to shut her mother temporally.

Almost as if an invisible hand had slapped the Queen of Orianna as the woman stared at her own daughter with a surprise and baffled expression.

``T-that…..that was just an accident! Just some rotten luck! It wont happen again sweaty...believe me, it wont..so please put out those senseless and stupid thoughts of swordplay to rest, ok?´´

Rose shook her head.``Perhaps you are right, perhaps it was just a freaky accident….but I don't want to depend forever in the strength of others…, to always rely instead of doing my part., to always be forced to watch, impotent as things happen all around me...and people suffer for my own sake...´´

It was not fair to do nothing…

It wasn't fair when she could do a difference, no matter how small it was..

And she would not allow anyone to tell her otherwise.

And just as she stood her ground, her father seemed to take notice of something…., his eyes glimmering with a peculiar emotion that she could not get a good grasp on, but if she had to put words to it it would be….hopeful?

An instant later her father leaned forward, but when he tried to speak up her mother silenced him with a glare.

And she did not mean the usual kind of glare, but a frightful thing.

One that had no place in her mothers face...

One that only made the cold sweat trailing down the young princess back all the more uncomfortable when Reina stood up from her seat, almost sending the chair flying by the motion, yet those golden eyes of her mother remained locked with hers, unblinking.

``Roooooose Oriaaaanna...´´

There were many ways a parent would call their children, depending on their tone and mood it could mean many things.

Rose had never been berated or punished by any sort of pranks or mischievousness….since she never misbehaved, but if she ever were to do so, there was no doubt in her mind that the way her mother spoke her name would be the prelude to such thing.

She would have to admit it..

It was scary.., though nowhere near Alphas or Koldarrs own kind of scary.

``You are a princess…. my daughter, your place is not to waddle the mud..but using your talents to the betterment of the kingdom´´

She took a step forward, then another.

`` I know we have been way too lenient with you, but we did it out love, dont take advantage of it, Rose…..´´

``I have done no such thing! You speak of using my talents for the good of all, but if I were to dedicate myself to this task would it matter what I use to reach that goal?´´

``Yes! Yes it would matter! Why swing your arm around when you can order a thousand to do it for you..? People think that swords hold power, but its our words that make things happen..´´

Her mother took a step forward before pointing a finger at her.

``You are of royal blood, Rose...you have rights and duties above those meager peasants..your gifts, the good you can do as a royal..will forever be more than any brute with a weapon in hand´´

``And what good where those talents when I was bound and gagged by bandits?´´

``Stop it with that..! Nothing happened to you..!´´

Rose clenched her small hands into tight fists, feeling for the first time in her life something else than dread, fear or shame of what she had brought into this walls with her wish.

Something hot….and burning that was quickly spreading through her entire body with each pumping sound of her heart.

She wanted to rebuke those words..

She wanted to tell her how those men had stomped over her hands.

How they had planed to do...things to her.

How she almost died twice!

But she was not Rose, the lonely girl in the woods-….she was Rose Orianna and she would act as such.

``I know you mean well, mother...I know from my heart that you believe to be right..but I was scared.., I was alone..but I was given a second chance through the sharp end of a blade, and I found out that...there is beauty to it.., something that we could learn from….instead of loath it in ignorance..´´

Rose wanted her mother to see what she had seen. To understand this...this thing that was driving her forward. But by the looks of it, that wish seemed to grow more and more distant by the minute.

``Beauty...!? Something we could learn..!? IGNORANCE...!?´´

[This...is not looking good..]

That thought only grew stronger with the way her mother started to mumble to herself out loud, walking back and forth without stop or end.

`` Oh nonononononononono….., allowing her to go anywhere near Midgard was a bad, BAD idea my husband. What were we thinking!?. What were YOU thinking...!?´´

``My beloved, you are overreacting..

``How could you say that! I am perfectly calm..!´´

``You don't sound lik-´´

``I AM PERFECTLY CALM….!´´

..

..

..

..

Raphael Orianna, king of Orianna stood out from his seat at long last. His demeanor tired and ancient, his face muddled with pain and...annoyance.

``I did not say you weren't..´´

``Y-Y-Y….You just insinuated it…!´´

``Reina please..´´

`Don't Reina me, Raphael. She is our daughter, our first born! And you are treating this as nothing but a joke..! Please tell me you are with me on this…, tell her that!´´

``Tell her...what exactly…?´´

``To stop been foolish, its clear she is not listening to me…´´

``I wonder why would that be..´´

``Y-how dare you speak that way to me…!?´´

``My dear…´´

What..!?´

``Queen or not, don't forger with who you are talking with..my dear´´

Her father had barely raised his voice, still bearing that noble semblance under all the tiredness that lurked behind the depths of his eyes. And yet...there a warning to felt sensed in the air, something that her mother came to realize as-well...taking back for good measure as her father was over taking it.

Then it was his time to move, one, two, three steps was all that it took him to stand in front of his wife, a stoic face met a clenching barely repressed wrathful one. Like a lioness standing in-front of an even bigger lion.

Their eyes locked in a silent duel as the seconds passed. Her mother was the first to break off from it, looking away in shame as she started to kneel.., her head hung low.

``Of course...your majesty…, pardon me for my lack of composure and gentleness...I should have known better´´

His father sighed tired, pinching the bridge of his nose. It was clear that this was not something he enjoyed it.

``You are forgiven, and stand up, I will not have my own wife kneeling like a servant before me. You are my equal...or have you forgotten that?´´

``…´´

A pang of apprehension swirled in his eyes``It doesn't matter, go….you will need the rest...´´

``R-rest? No! I am not leaving..! Not until you agreed with me on this matter´´

``Then you are lucky, I do agree on this matter..´´

``Finally, someone speaks some sense…´´

``I do agree that Rose has all the right and need to learn how to defend herself...´´

And just like that, the metaphorical winds that had been pushing her mother afloat...vanished, making her almost fall down onto the floor on the spot as her legs started to waggle and quiver, until they no longer could and she fell to her knees..

Raising her hands to her head and holding it tightly as it started to rock back and forth between short and embittered mumbling sounds as her lips struggled to convey the stream of words that tried to make their way out.

It was not shocking to see her like this.

It was heartbreaking.

And so, Rose did the only thing she thought she could and should do. Comfort the clearly distressed form of not the queen of Orianna, but her mother. Her small feet moving forward bit by bit, step by step, her hands clammy from the fear and nervousness that had ran through her veins now were extended forward, hoping to embrace the blond woman in a hug.

``Mum...I am s-

Her words however were silenced just as quickly as they had come out by the sudden flare of pain coursing through her hands. Rose world became a little more confusing as she found herself falling on her back, golden eyes open wide and unblinking as she held onto her aching hand and staring at the sight of her father jumping between her and her mother who was now raising from the floor.

``Reina! What are you doing..!´´

``Shut up! Shut up, Shut up, SHUT UP! My daughter is not gonna turn into a barbarian because you think she should! Do you have the slightest idea of what this would cause?´´

``That Rose is safe and protected from any present and future threat?

``That we make a precedent you fool..!´´

``Its for a good cause..´´

``Dammit, Raphael...! It always starts with one of those…! Are you not afraid of what you will incur if you allow this. You say that it will help Rose, but it just may make a bigger target!´´

``If we were to shrink when every push came then the kingdom would not have lasted this long...´´

``No one! No one in the royal family has chosen swordsmanship as their chosen art...and there is a reason for it! The nobles, the newspapers, even the common folk will have a day making fun of us...! They may even get funny ideas since we are so willing to break the rules..´´

``Whatever it is, it will not be as bad as you think it is...´´

Her mother chew her lips like an animal would chew on a bone, ruining the shade of her favorite and overly expensive lipstick as her eyes narrowed to two slim slits, jaw clenched, teeth grinding…

``No, it will be worse...´´

And with those words the queen of Orianna left the room in a hurry, the sound of her heels slamming against the floor echoing loudly even after a while before the entire premise was swallowed by silence once more.

Rose did not know how much time passed afterwards…

Time became a blurry thing as her eyes remained locked in place staring at the now closed frames of the doors leading outside, her heart beating painfully inside her chest.

The sound of her mothers words still ringing loudly in her ears, still bearing the sharpness and coldness that one could find in a blade rather than a human voice.

Rose had known this would happen.

She had known that she would struggle to push her wish through…, that it would not be easy.

But never in her wildest dreams she had thought that she would shatter what little remained of the peace of her home to accomplish it.

Why had this happen?

Why was she only able to make things worse..?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Wh-

Her lips opened up with a brief gasp as her body jolted in surprise when she felt a hand tug at her shoulder, the motion rather gently, but not enough to keep her from tilting her head to the side...only to meet her fathers eyes.

Tired...and apologetic.

It took her a moment to realize that he was kneeling.

``I am sorry you had to see that, Rose...I know it wasn't your intention, far from it in fact. Its just that your mother is...very set on her worldviews…, not one known to give up her stance without a fight..´´

Those were some mild words to describe a stout traditionalist, but she understood what her father meant. Even though...she wish she didn't.

The laws of the Kingdom and its culture had never seen swordsmanship and those who practiced with good eyes. No, it was loathed...considered crude and brutish. Something that only thugs and the lower of the lower would choose to do instead of devoting their life's to create art..

And for her mother, the Queen of this nation who valued and held those beliefs in such high regard...to see her daughter decide to go out of her way to devote herself to something she did not just loathed, but did not understand must have been like the worst day in her life.

She understood where the rage, anger and pain that her mother felt…

But it didn't made the pain go away.

She then felt her father pull her closer to him, his arms slowly embracing her as he held her close.

``Do you think she will be fine?´´

``...´´

``Father?´´

``You are an angel..you know that right?´´

``W-what do you mean?´´

``Nothing, nothing….and don't worry...your mother will be fine´´

``Really?´´

``Yes, nothing that a few bottles of wine wont solve, though I would recommend you to not try to cross paths for now. Your dear mother does have a temper...and its not one easily quelled..´´

She knew that she should have said something…, at least a brief reply, but the only thing she could do was nod her little head as she pressed herself a little tighter against her fathers chest. Her hands wrapping around the expensive cloth, clinging to him...

``Its ok now, Rose...you don't need to cry anymore..´´

Rose tilted her head, confused at what her father was talking about...only to realize that the reason why her eyes were stinging so much probably had something to do with the coldness sliding down her cheeks.

When..? When did she start crying...? And why was her head hurting so much..?

Those were pushed away when her father started stroking her head, fingers carefully playing with the strands of gold of her mane, while with a thumb he cleared away the tear-streaks from her cheeks.

``You were right Rose..´´

``….´´

``You were right…, everything you said, what you felt...it was all true..´´

``I don't understand..´´

``It means...that its about time we break with tradition and start adding something new into Oriana…..´´

``But mother..´´

``Your dear mother was speaking from a place of pride and comfort, like many others before her…., and because of that, they have become blind to what it could be´´

He then started to slowly rise from his position.

``But don't hold this against them for they don't know any better, this Kingdom has not allow them to´´ His expression then quickly darkened, the glint of his eyes losing its color and warmth ``And I can consider myself among them..´´

It would not last long though, as he offered a timid smile to her.

``So instead, show them how wrong they are through your own successes, because if this is what you want, I will help you, even if its the last thing I do´´

``Do you…, do you really mean it?´´

``With all my heart..´´

A/N

Here comes another chapter, taking me a bit longer than I thought with all the things irl that have come my way but it was about time to make an update. Pardon me if you found any grammar mistakes and feel free to comment on what you liked or not of the chapter, (no trolling please, I already have dealt with some unpleasant cases).

º

We were told in canon that swordmanship was not something that anyone in the country liked, but Rose did it anyway. However we were never shown anything related of how she did it, or what kind of reactions it brought to those around her.

º

I must say, that I am disappointed with Klaus….especially with his overall development through the series, or lack of it. Sometimes I forget he is there, other characters are more memorable, not his fault though, the story is filled with all kind of those….but Rose parents appeared on what was in other words rather soon and I still remember quite well everything that went there. They made an impact, for better or for worse, and I liked that.

Even when Raphael and Reina died, they had moved the plot and changed so many things by then that it felt worth it if a bit early to spend them. What have Klaus done but play the human ostrich? Waiting is all good and all when you are in a pinch, but if you because used to that, you may not realize when chances come knocking at your door and miss them!

º

Roses mother is not a good person, she definitely is not that good of a parent anyway, so I am not going to pretend she is. However, I am sure the cult made her worse than she would ever be on her own. So yeah, she WILL be worse, way worse...good thing that Rose inherited her fathers heart and only her mothers looks. Or Did she...?

º

The design of Reinas character appearance in the anime is one that I have found quite….disheartening, it was already a bit weird in the manga, but the anime made her look like a doll, and not the "good" kind.., well, I still have the light novel.
