Chapter 36 Mission Plan

Moana's gang and the Bad Guys sailed across the sea to the Garden of Eyes. On the way there Moana asked if the Bad Guys had an actual plan to get by the Garden of Eyes and into the temple where the Instrument of Destruction was kept and if they knew the history of the guardian. Wolf said he was still working on a plan to get past the guardian, but he did share what history he knew of the monster.
"The mermaid Saleen was the one to plant and grow the Garden of Eyes long ago. Back then the Garen of Eyes just used it's powers to make others who got near the place forget about seeing the temple and then they would just swim away. But years later Te Kā's darkness reached the Garden of Eyes and corrupted it changing it into a monstrous creature that devoured anything that had the misfortune to come near the temple."
"Another bad thing created from Te Kā." Muttered Moana.
"So are there any other guardians or defenses we have to worry about once we enter the temple?" Asked Maui.
"Well...according to our research and sources there is a guardian in the temple." Said Webs.
"What kind of guardian?" Asked Ruby.
"From what we heard Saleen used her magic and her singing voice to tame and bring a creature from a far off land into the temple and left it there to guard the Instrument of Destruction. This guardian was a dragon monster called the World Gobbler." Said Webs.
"A dragon monster huh? I've dealt with a few in my time, shouldn't be too much trouble to deal with." Said Maui.
"None like this. From what I heard this is supposed to be a high class of dragon monster that's undead. It could really give some of the other big monsters in the world a really hard time if it got lose." Said Snake.
"Yet Saleen managed to tame it and made it the guardian of the Instrument of Destruction." Said Chelsea.
"Which means there's a chance another mermaid can command it or make it stand down." Said Wolf looking at Chelsea.
"Me? I don't think my magic is strong enough and I've never tried to tame anything using my singing voice." Said Chelsea not really liking the sound of the idea of trying to use her to get past the World Gobbler.
"It's better then trying to fight the World Gobbler." Said Shark.
"I can take it if the whole singing thing doesn't work." Said Piranha.
"We still haven't figured out how to get past the Garden of Eyes." Said Ruby.
"That's where you come in." Said Wolf.
"Me? You want me to fight the Garden of Eyes with my eyes closed or something?" Asked Ruby.
"Not exactly. A bit of the opposite. You can go giant and use your camouflage powers to go invisible to the naked eye. The Garden of Eyes can't infect you with their hypnotic gaze if they can't see you and we can use both your size and camouflage to hide and smuggle us to the temple." Said Wolf.
"Does your power allow you to hide things in your hands?" Asked Snake.
Ruby picked up a piece of fruit that she could cover with her hand and she made her arm go invisible along with the fruit impressing the Bad Guys.
"So who exactly should we send down to the temple?" Asked Moana.
"We need to send everyone who can breath underwater or in Maui's case those who can shapeshift into creatures that can breath underwater." Said Wolf.
"So Maui, Ruby, Chelsea, Shark, and Piranha." Said Moana.
"Yep and those five our the most skilled fighters in our group, so I think the success of the mission will be very good." Said Wolf.
"You seem pretty confident." Said Ruby.
"I know what my crew is capable of and I've seen what you are capable of. Ruby and Chelsea managed to takedown Monstro, who is one of the most feared sea monsters in the world. The monsters were about to go up against may be dangerous, but I have faith you can beat them." Said Wolf.
"Plus you got me in your corner. I've taken on tons of crazy monsters and I'll be right besides you." Assured Maui.
"Guess you got a point, still I'm not sure if my magic and singing voice can deal with the World Gobbler like you want me to." Said Chelsea.
"Then will just come up with another way." Said Ruby.
"Yeah. With a mermaid's magic and a kraken's might working together there's nothing we can't do." Said Chelsea.
"That's the spirit!" Said Wolf.
The boats continued on towards their destination. The quest for the Instrument of Destruction was drawing to a close.
