Part 2

"Viper Fang!" Vasquez shouted at him. "What are you doing here?" He then realized something. "Are you behind me being in jail? Are you that bitter about me quitting The Order of the Fang?"

"You shouldn't have quit." Viper Fang told him. "You and I were such good partners."

"That was ten years ago, Viper! You have to let it go."

"No! I won't. You will stay in there and think of how you betrayed me and went to live with that pathetic family."

"I didn't betray you and you know it. And they are the Remingtons. They're super nice."

"I don't care how nice they are! They stole you from us."

"Look, I'm sorry your feelings were hurt and you felt betrayed. But I worked for The Order for years, and I loved it, but I chose to quit because I wanted something more."

"And you chose that loser family over me and that loser little brat!" Vasquez got mad.

"Don't you talk about Remy like that. He's not a brat."

"I can talk about him like that if I want! And since he's ten now, he's old enough and doesn't need you anymore."

"Remy does need me!"

"Wrong; you think you need him, but you have been in that family for so long that they brainwashed you."

"They did not brainwash me. Honestly, Viper, this grudge you have against me is really stupid. And why put me in jail for it? That's low, Viper! Low and evil! I can't believe you would do this." Viper laughed.

"What can I say? If you never quit The Order, this never would have happened. I may persuade them to let you out if you join back up." Vasquez was shocked at this.

"What?! I'll never do that."

"Then I can't help you. Sorry, but you're going to be behind bars for a long time." His phone then went off. He took it out. "Sorry, but I have to take this." He answered it. "Hello?"

Vasquez couldn't believe it. He thought he heard Cricket's scream from the phone, but didn't say anything for fear of what might happen if he did, so he just let Viper talk.

"Well, I hate to leave you." Viper said to Vasquez as soon as he ended the call and put his phone away. "But I should get going. Don't have fun in jail!" He then left.

Vasquez knew what he had to do. He had to get to a phone and fast!

Bash threw Cricket in the backseat of the car that they were driving.

"You can't do this to me!" Cricket spoke. He was about to run out of the car when Bash closed it. He then locked it. "Hey; let me out! Help; let me out!" He pulled on the lock and pounded on the door.

"I'm going to tell the Boss we kidnapped this kid." Bash told Bella.

"You do that, Bash." His lover agreed. "But don't forget you're driving."

"I can drive and be on the phone at the same time."

"You sure can, Bash, you bad man! Just be careful and keep your eyes on the road."

"I will."

"I know you will." They went to their sides of the car.

When Cricket heard Bash talking on the phone, he yelled for help at the top of his lungs.

"Sorry, Boss." Bash apologized. He looked at Bella and put his hand over the mouthpiece. "Can you silent the kid?" Bella unbuckled herself, got in the backseat with Cricket and grabbed him.

"Come here, kid!" She said and buckled herself back up. She put her hand over the boy's mouth, muffling the boy's yelling.

Tilly and her father ran to where her brother was kidnapped.

"Here. Papa." Tilly told Bill. "This is where those bad people took Cricket." She looked all around. "They're not here anymore. Maybe I should have just not ran for help right away."

"No, Tilly." Bill said. "You did the right thing. I can't believe that this is happening."

"I know." Tilly agreed. She looked at her dad with tears in her eyes. "Oh, Papa, what if we never see him again? I'm scared those bad people will do some horrible things to him. I heard horror stories of that happening to poor, unfortunate kids. What if that happens to Cricket?"

"Oh, sweetie, you can't think like that. Don't worry, we'll find him."

"I wish I could be as upbeat as you. I'm surprised that I'm not." Bill felt bad for her.

"Oh, Tilly." He bent down to her. "You're just scared. Even upbeat people like you get scared and sad at times. It's perfectly normal and alright. It's hard when you don't know for certain." Tilly smiled as she wiped away her tears.

"I know and thanks." Tilly then thought of something. "Wait, they just took him. They might still be outside. Come on, Papa!" She ran off.

"Tilly, wait!" Bill ran after her.

When they were both outside, Tilly looked frantically for the car. Bill stopped to catch his breath.

"I don't see it." Tilly stated. "Maybe they took him up front." Tilly took off again. Bill groaned.

"Not again!" He ran after his daughter again.

Tilly looked all around frantically for any signs of the bad guys or her brother. She was about to give up when she saw Cricket from the back of a car taking off.

"CRICKET!" She ran after the car.

"Tilly, no!" Bill ran after her once again. He saw the back of the car as well and gasped when he saw his young son. "CRICKET!"

Tilly ran a bit further, took out her phone and quickly took a picture. She stopped. So did Bill when the car sped into the distance.

"Well, that was definitely Cricket in the back of that car." Bill observed. He looked at his daughter and scowled at her. "Tilly, this is no time to play with your phone." Tilly looked at him.

"No, Papa. I took a picture of their license plate. Look!" She showed her father her phone, zooming in on the photo that she just took. Bill smiled.

"Good going, Tilly!" Tilly felt proud of herself.

"Thanks!" She was then confused. "Uh, now what?"

"Now we call the police." And with that, he took out his phone.

As her dad was calling the police, Tilly thought about texting her brother. She wanted to call him, but didn't want to risk the kidnappers hearing their conversation. She took out her phone and texted him her text.

When done, she had another thought. What if she sent it right now and Cricket's notification was loud enough to alert the kidnappers? She didn't want to risk it. She'll just have to send it later, so she put her phone away,

After the call with the police, Bill texted Gloria.

After the call with their boss, Bella went back up front with her lover. Cricket didn't know what to do. He was scared. He never felt this scared in his entire life. He curled himself into a ball and just cried.

How could I be so stupid? He thought to himself. If I never exposed myself to those no good crooks, I would be safe, and I'd never be here in the back of my kidnapper's car. This is all my fault!

Rashida was thinking as she saw the Syft car take off with her young son. Russell saw this.

"Rashida," He began. "I have been married to you for years and I know that look. What is it?" Rashida looked at her husband.

"I'm having second thoughts on this, Russell." She told her husband. "I'm just not sure not going with Remy when Bill said that we could was such a good idea." Russell sighed.

"I was just thinking the same thing, Rashida. I don't know what I was thinking when I refused Bill's offer when he invited all of us."

"Well, it's not too late. You can call Bill and ask if we still can and see if he can pick us up or order us a ride." Russell sighed again as he took out his phone.

"I'd hate to have to let Bill order a ride when he already paid for Remy's."

"I do too, but at least we'll all be with Remy again."

"True." He dialed and put the phone by his ear.

Gloria was outside waiting for Remy to arrive. She got a text from Bill about Cricket and frowned. She was about to call him when she saw the Syft ride approaching. She'll have to do it later.

"Hey, Remy!" She greeted him when he got out, pretending like nothing was wrong.

"Hey, Gloria!" Remy greeted back, also pretending to be happy. Gloria noticed the seats in the inside of the car.

"Wow!" She observed. "Those are big seats."

"I wanted to see my parents one last time from the back, but couldn't because I was too short."

"Sad!" She then panicked when she saw Snakey around Remy's neck.

"Whoa, what's that and why is it around your neck? It's not squeezing you to death, is it?"

"Oh, Snakey? He's my pet snake. Cricket gave him to me. Wasn't that nice of him? I think that lady we got him from referred to him as female, but Cricket and I refer to him as male. I checked online. The difference between genders is that male spurs are longer than females. He's a python, a Patagonian Purple Python to be exact. And no, he's not squeezing me to death. I put him on me to make me less sad."

"Well, as long as you're fine with it, it's cool, I guess. Is he poisonous?" Before Remy could answer, the driver spoke to Gloria.

"Are you Gloria Sato?" He wanted to know.

"Yes, I am." She answered. "I'm here for Remy." She gave him money. "Here you go."

"Thank you, and oh, he was crying softly in the back. I just thought you should know."

"Thanks, I'll take it from here. Have a good day."

"Same for you two." With that, he went back into his car. Gloria looked at Remy.

"Keep an eye on that snake." She told him. "I mean it. Make sure he behaves." Remy saluted her.

"I promise Gloria that I will keep my eyes on Snakey and make sure he behaves while we're here."

"Ok, good. Now let's get you all settled in." She then picked up Remy's box and carried it to the door for him. Remy walked after her.

When Gloria got the keys out, she saw Remy's frown. She grew concerned about this.

"I know you are in a crummy situation right now," She began. "Believe me, I have been in a bunch of crummy situations in my lifetime, but I also know that it'll get better." Remy looked at her and smiled.

"Thanks, Gloria." He thanked her. "I believe it will too. I mean, it has too, right?"

"Right." She changed the subject. "You know, Remy, we share something now."

"What's that?"

"If it weren't for the Greens, I don't know where I might be right now, probably living on the streets. They are such nice people, even Cricket."

"Yeah, I agree with you there." Gloria saw that Remy was still sad. "Remy, you okay?" Remy sighed, then looked at Gloria.

"It's just that I don't get why my parents couldn't come with me. My dad said Mr. Green said that they could, but my dad refused. I miss them and want them here. It's not fair that they are living on the streets and I am living here in a house. I wanted to live with them on the streets too if they couldn't live here with me, but they wanted me here. I don't know why."

"Oh, Remy. I don't really know either, but if I would guess, they want the best for you. Every good parent wants that and are willing to sacrifice everything for their children."

"I guess. I still miss them and want them here and think it's totally unfair."

"I know you do, Remy." She put the keys into the door, opened it, and they walked in.

"Hey, Alice!" Gloria greeted her, who was still watching TV. "I'm here with Remy."

"Hi, Mrs. Green!" Remy greeted her. But she didn't respond. "Uh, Mrs. Green? Hello!"

"She's watching TV." Gloria said to Remy. "Once the show's over, I suppose she'll talk to us more."

"Oh."

"Well, I don't know where you'll be sleeping. In the meantime, I'll take your stuff down in the basement, ok?" Remy looked at her, confused.

"But aren't you staying down there?"

"I am, but you can too, if you and your snake behave."

"Ok. We will." Gloria was concerned when she didn't see Snakey around Remy's neck anymore. "Say, Remy, where's Snakey?" Remy was puzzled.

"Snakey? Why, he's…" He then didn't feel Snakey on him and realized he wasn't there. "He's not here apparently. Oh my gosh! Where is he? He could be anywhere!"

"You mean you didn't feel him getting off your neck?"

"I guess not." She put down Remy's box.

"Well, we seriously need to find him before…" Just then they heard Alice's sceam. "Yup, too late." She panicked and her eyes grew huge. "ALICE!" The two ran to where Alice was.

They both gasped as they saw Snakey trying to get on the sofa that Alice was hiding behind, shivering in fright.

"Get away from me, you horrid beast!" She shouted to him in fear. "Please! I don't want to die like this!"

"Snakey, no!" Remy shouted as well. The boy ran up to him.

"Careful, Remy!" Alice warned him. "Don't go anywhere near that demon!" She was surprised when he picked him up.

"Bad, Snakey! Bad, bad, Snakey! Scaring the elderly isn't nice!"

"Remy, you're not scared of it?" Remy looked at her.

"At Snakey? No. He's with me. It's okay, Mrs. Green. You can come out of hiding now."

"N-no, thanks. I'm good here. I'll come out when that monster leaves."

"Aw, are you scared of Snakey?"

"You're crazy not to be scared."

"Well, don't worry. Snakey is good now. You have nothing to fear. So, come on out." Alice shook her head.

"No way!"

"Are you seriously going to be behind the sofa until I leave with Snakey? That might take a long time."

"Maybe? I don't know. I'll take my chances."

"Hmmm, Mr. Green didn't say you had a fear of snakes."

"Gee, I wonder why."

"I know you're scared." Gloria said. "But you can't hide there forever. Remy will promise to keep Snakey out of your sight while he's here." She looked at Remy. "Right, Remy?" Remy nodded.

"I promise, Mrs. Green." Gloria looked back at Alice.

"See? Knowing that, will you come out?" But Alice shook her head again.

"Nope! I won't feel safe until it's out of my house." Gloria sighed. Remy looked at Gloria.

"Well, looks like I have to go on the streets with my parents because I am not leaving Snakey." Remy stated. "Don't fret. I'll call for my ride." He realized something. "Dang; I'm not used to being poor." He looked at Gloria. "Gloria, would you call for a ride for me?"

"Remy, no." Gloria told him. "I don't need to do that because you're staying." She looked at Alice. "Alice, please! This is ridiculous! You've been through a lot. If you can handle the changing times up to this point, you can handle a snake." Alice sighed.

"Oh, alright. But this is different from the changing times." This time, Gloria sighed.

"You're right, Alice. Of course a snake is different from the changing times. I don't know what I was thinking." Alice looked at Remy.

"You better make sure that snake stays far away from me. If he even comes near me, he is out of this house, no questions asked. Understood?" Remy saluted her.

"Understood, Mrs. Green! Although, I can't predict what he will do. Like any animal, he is unpredictable. I can't keep my eyes on him 24/7." Alice glared at him. Remy gulped and nodded, afraid. "Yes, Ma'am!" Alice smiled.

"Good! Glad there won't be any problems with that snake."

"Boy, I can't wait until Cricket gets here. He will make everything better!" Gloria remembered something and frowned. Should she tell him? No, Remy's been through enough already today. She didn't want to make it worse. "Uh, Remy, can I talk to Mrs. Green alone?" Remy was a bit concerned about this.

"Everything ok, Gloria?"

"Don't worry about it, Remy. I just need to talk to her alone."

"But I am a bit worried."

"Well, don't be okay. Just let me talk to her alone.

"But…"

"Remy, please!" Remy sighed. He didn't like where this was going.

"Fine! I feel like you are hiding something from me and not telling me for the sake of my sweet and pure innocence, but whatever. Let's go, Snakey." And with that, he went off.

Before entering the police station, Bill got a phone call. He took it out and looked at it.

"What is it, Papa?" Tilly wanted to know.

"It's Mr. Remington." Bill told her.

"What does he want?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." He answered the call.

After Russell's call with Bill, he put his phone back in his pocket. Rashida saw Russell's frown.

"What's wrong, Russell?" She wanted to know. "Are we getting a ride?"

"We are." He replied.

"Then what's the frown for?" Russell turned to look at his wife.

"Cricket just got kidnapped." Rashida looked at him in shock.

"What?!"

"Cricket just got kidnapped."

"I heard that. I just can't believe it. Poor Greens. Who would do such a horrid thing?"

"A horrid person or people. I told Bill that we'd go help to look for him. He has done so much for us already; It's only right."

"I agree with you there. We become homeless, Vasquez gets arrested, and his best friend in the whole wide world gets kidnapped. Remy will be so devastated."

"He will. But he also knows that this is a cruel world and bad things happen. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but it's the truth. But we'll be there to provide him with a shoulder to cry on." Rashida smiled.

"We sure will. I just hate seeing my baby so upset."

"I think all good parents hate seeing their children upset, but that's life sometimes."

"Sadly."

After they left the police station, Bill and Tilly went back into the truck.

"I can help you look for Cricket, Papa." Tilly volunteered. "I'll do anything for my young brother." Bill looked back at her and smiled.

"I know you will, sweetie." He told her. "But I think I'll feel safer if you stay at home." Tilly was surprised by this.

"What?! But…but I can help. I want to help!"

"I know you do. But if we find the kidnapper, they might do something to you too, and we don't want that."

"Well, no, but…"

"No buts, Tilly. I'm taking you home. We can wait for Remy's parents and you can stay home with Remy and Gramma while I go look with the police, Gloria, and Mr. And Mrs. Remington."

"Remy's not looking for Cricket either? Oh, he won't like that. He'll want to help too."

"I know, and he will be upset, but as parents, we have to think of what's best for you kids. It'll be too dangerous if we take you two along. You understand that?" Tilly sighed.

"I guess, but…"

"Perfect; then there will be no further arguments!" Tilly groaned. She did not like this. Not one bit.

Bill hesitated about calling Nancy about this, but knew if she heard about this, she would yell at him, so that is what he did.

"I know Gloria is hiding something from me, Snakey." Remy told his pet, who was around his neck again. He was going down to the basement, carrying the box. "I just don't know what though. I wish she would just tell me. I'm a big boy. I can handle it. I may not like it, but I can take it. I know the world's a scary place just like Dad says."

Once down in the basement, he placed Pancake and his Bintendo Twist Plus on the floor in the corner of the room for the time being. He then began to think, and grew determined.

"You know what, Snakey?" He told his pet. "I'm not going to take it! I'm going to get the answers that I need, even if I have to force it out of her. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do instead of sitting here and doing nothing! I don't know what I'll do exactly, but it will be something!" He took Snakey off of him, and put him back in his tank. "Wish me luck!" He was about to leave the room when Gloria came in instead.

"Remy! Good news!" She announced. "Your parents and the Greens are coming." Remy looked at her and grew excited.

"Really?!"

"Yup!" Remy cheered to himself. "That's awesome! What made them change their minds?" But Gloria didn't answer him, so he tried again. "Gloria, what made them change their minds?" Gloria still didn't answer. "Gloria, what made them cha…"

"Does it even matter, Remy?!" Gloria snapped at him, annoyed. "They're coming here. That's all that matters to you, isn't it? Maybe they wanted to be with you." But Remy didn't buy it.

"I know there's more to it than that. What are you hiding from me, Gloria?"

"Nothing you need to be concerned about, okay, Remy? Gosh, can't you just drop this, please?"

"Goodness sakes, just tell the boy, alright?!" Alice snapped, coming into the room. Gloria looked at her.

"No, Alice! He's homeless and is alone here without his parents. He's been through enough." Remy was confused.

"Tell me what?"

"Nothing, Remy!" Alice looked at Remy. Gloria gave her a 'don't you dare' look, but Alice told him anyway.

"Your friend is kidnapped." Remy screamed. Gloria and Alice plugged their ears.

"Remy! Remy, calm down!" Remy stopped screaming and looked at her. Gloria and Alice both sighed in relief.

"How can I calm down?!" Remy asked Gloria. "First, my bodyguard, Vasquez gets arrested, then my family loses our mansion and becomes homeless, then my parents send me here without them, and now I find out my best friend in the whole world gets kidnapped, and you expect me, a 10-year old kid to just calm down?! This day just keeps getting worse and worse!"

"Well, at least your parents are coming to stay now, right?" Remy just glared at her. Even Alice was glaring at her.

"Read the room, Gloria." Alice told her. "Now's not the time!" Gloria sighed.

"Right." Gloria looked at Remy. "I'm sorry, Remy. I know how much stress you are under right now. I shouldn't have said it." She changed the subject. "But Tilly and Mr. Green just left the police station. So they know and will help find him. Don't you worry."

"Why, Gloria?" A teary-eyed Remy wanted to know. "Why would someone kidnap a pure and innocent child?"

"I don't know, Remy. Some heartless jerk or heartless jerks without a life or lives." Remy sniffed sadly.

"Will I ever see Cricket again?"

"I'm sure you will."

"Assuming they don't kill him first." Alice said. Remy was horrified by this.

"W-what?!" He questioned. Gloria glared at her.

"Alice!"

"Of course, I don't want that to happen to my beloved grandson, but you know the horror stories." Remy looked at Gloria.

"That won't happen to Cricket, will it, Gloria?"

"Don't listen to her." Gloria assured him. "He'll come back home so you two can be goofy little goofballs again."

"I hope you're right, Gloria."

"I hope I am too."

"And I'm sorry for saying that they might kill him." Alice told him. "That was wrong of me." Remy looked at her.

"That's okay, Mrs. Green." He said. "I forgive you. You were only stating facts. Harsh and really dark facts." Alice smiled.

"That's right, but oh, how I hope my grandson comes home safe and sound, and his kidnapper gets severely punished." Just then, they all heard the doorbell, and they all ran upstairs to see who it was.

It was Mr and Mrs. Remington. Remy tried to hold back his oncoming tears.

"Hi, Mr and Mrs Remington." Gloria greeted them.

"Hi, Gloria, hi, Alice." Russell greeted. He looked at his young son. "Bet you're surprised to see us here, huh, Remy?" But Remy just ran up to his father, crying. Russell and Rashida were confused. The parents looked at Gloria for confirmation.

"He unfortunately knows about Cricket." She informed them. The two parents looked back at their son.

"I'm sorry, Dad!" Remy sobbed. "I'm trying so, so hard to be brave, but I can't. I just can't! Not when things are going wrong! Please, don't be mad." Russell comforted him.

"Son, I'm not mad at you for crying." He told him. "I'm not mad at you for anything." Remy sniffed.

"Really?"

"Yes, really. All of the terrible news today is hard to take in and it must be harder on you. I don't expect you to not cry and be sad over this. That's a lot to ask of a kid."

"Yeah, it is."

"And even brave people are sad and break down." Rashida added. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. Crying is not a weakness."

"That's right, son. You don't need to be brave 24/7 just to make us proud. You do that already." Remy smiled through his tears.

"Thanks, Dad." He looked over at his mother. "Thanks, Mom."

"We just want you to be happy." Rashida added. "And we understand why you're not at this very moment."

"And don't worry, son, when Mr. Green and Tilly get here, your mother and I are going to help him, Gloria and the police find Cricket and bring him home safely."

"What about Tilly and I?"

"You are going to stay here with Tilly and her gramma. Tilly's grandmother is going to take care of you two." Remy was shocked at this.

"What!? But, Dad, you have to understand. Cricket is my friend. I want to look for him; I have to!"

"We know you do, Remy. But you have to understand that we're only doing this for your protection. It could get dangerous."

"What if I promise to be careful?"

"You can promise that all you want, but we are still not taking you."

"What?! But that's so not fair!"

"Fair?" Alice spoke. "You know what's not fair? That I have to stay behind to babysit you two instead of looking for my beloved grandson." She then sighed when she saw Gloria's glare. "But I suppose someone has to do it, and if it means keeping Tilly safe, then so be it!"

"Please, understand, Remy." His mom put in. "None of us know what will happen in the future. We're just taking precautions. It's too risky, and we're not taking that risk. We just want you safe and out of harm's way"

"But…but…"

"No buts, son." Russell stated. "You're staying here and that's that." Remy was still mad at this. He huffed at this, folding his arms across his chest.

"Try to cheer up, Remy." Rashida told him. "I'm sure Tilly is just as mad that she has to stay here too, not helping to look for her brother. And in the meantime, you two can play with each other to get your minds off this whole thing."

"Just don't cause me any problems and release that snake of yours to spite me." Alice said. "You hear?"

"I hear." Remy told her. "And I won't." Alice smiled.

"Good."

"Now we have to get settled in before Tilly and her dad get here." Russell told his son.

"Okay, Dad." Remy said. "I agree. You should do that."

"And we're sorry for not coming here with you in Syft." Rashida added. "We should have. I don't know what we were thinking."

"Also, you were right." His dad added. "Cricket did deserve to know our predicament. He's your friend, and I should have understood that as well." Remy managed a smile.

"It's okay, Dad. As long as you and Mom are here now. That's all that matters." Rashida smiled back.

"That's right." She agreed. "And thanks to you, we all have a roof over our heads." She hugged him. "Love you, Remy."

"I love you too, Mom." He looked at his dad. "You too, Dad."

A little while later, Tilly and Mr. Green arrived. Police cars were behind the Kludge.

"Papa, are you sure I can't help with the search?" Tilly wanted to know when they were approaching the house.

"I'm sure, Tilly." Her father answered. "Gramma will take good care of you. You and Remy will have so much fun together that you'll forget your brother is missing."

"But he's my brother! I can't just forget that he's missing." Mr. Green sighed as he took out his keys and put them in the door when the two were at the door.

"You're right, sweetie. I don't know what I was thinking." Tilly looked hopeful.

"So, you'll let me look?"

"Nope!" Tilly groaned. Bill opened the door.

"We're home!" Bill announced. He closed the door behind them and put the keys away in his pockets. The Remingtons, Gloria, and his mother went over to them.

"Bill," His mother began. "…we need to talk."

"Not now, Ma." Bill told her. "The police are here. We need to give them the information that they need about Cricket." Alice was about to speak when the doorbell rang. "And here, they are now." Bill opened the door. "Hello, come in."

"Thank you!" Officer Keys responded. "Don't mind if we do." Bill closed the door after all of the cops came in.

"Officer Keys." Remy told him. "Please reconsider and release Vasquez."

"Remy!" Rashida scolded. "Not this nonsense again!" But he continued.

"Please, I need him and he needs me. He did nothing wrong, I just know it. You just can't arrest people who are inn…" Russell put his hands over Remy's mouth.

"Remy," He said to him crossly. "That's enough! Now, apologize to the police right now!" Remy withdrew from his father. He was mad now.

"Sorry, Dad. I just can't do that because I know Vasquez is innocent. I refuse to believe that he committed any crimes. I can't believe you guys aren't on my side on this."

"Remy, I like to believe you. I really do."

"Then why don't you then?"

"It's just that…" He then sighed. "Look, let's just leave the Greens to talk to the police alone on this for now, okay?" Bill looked at his daughter.

"You should leave this for the adults, Tilly." He said to her. Tilly looked at her dad, once again, in shock.

"What?!" She questioned. "But Papa, I…"

"Tilly!" Tilly sighed.

"Fine!" She took off, so did the Remingtons.

"I better go too." Gloria stated, going off as well.

When the police were done talking to Bill and Alice, the doorbell rang again.

"Wonder who that is." Bill said. He looked at Officer Keys. "Sorry about this."

"No, it's fine." Officer Keys told him. "We got the info that we need to help look for your son, so answer away."

"Okay. Thanks." So Bill answered the door. On the other side was his ex-wife.

"Nancy?" Bill questioned. "What are you doing here?" Nancy looked a bit annoyed.

"Seriously, Bill?" She asked him. "You call me to tell me that my son gets kidnapped, and expect me not to worry?"

"Well, no, but…you drove all of this way just for Cricket?"

"Again, stupid question, Bill. Why wouldn't I?"

"If you didn't want her here," Alice began. "You shouldn't have called and told her about the situation." Bill sighed.

"That's true." He agreed. "I guess that's on me then."

"You dang right it is." Nancy looked at Officer Keys.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything, am I Officer?" She wanted to know. Officer Keys shook his head.

"Nope!" He said. "We were just leaving." He and the others headed towards the door. As his fellow officers walked out, Officer Keys looked at the Greens.

"Now, I know you are worried about your boy and want to know his location." He began. "But, you need to give the search to the police officers and the detectives. Ok?"

"Ok." Bill replied. Keys smiled.

"Ok! Thanks for understanding!" He then left.

"You told me that you and Gloria were looking for Cricket with Russell and Rashida." Alice said to him. "Did you just lie to a police officer? Boy, you are bad…I like it!" Bill facepalmed himself.

"Bill," Nancy began. "…Don't tell me you are actually defying the police? That's not like you." She then smiled. "I'm in! I like it too." Bill smiled.

"I know the police can handle things themselves," He began. "…but I figure why not help them? It wouldn't hurt, right?"

"Exactly right, Bill!" Nancy agreed. "We're the parents! The police need to know that we aren't just going to sit around while they look for our kid."

"I think they want us at home in case our kid calls."

"Well, that's a one person job! And cell phones exist and kids have them even. And I did not drive for four hours for nothing! I just want my baby back home."

"Me too, Nancy. Me too."

"And since the police don't know about this, we have to be discreet about this."

"I agree." He looked at Alice. "And Ma, don't tell Tilly about this. You know how she is about breaking the rules."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever! You just find my grandson and bring him home."

"We will, Ma." Bill looked at Russell, Rashida, and Gloria who all came back into the room with Remy. "Come on, team. Nancy is joining us now."

"Are you sure I can't come to look for Cricket, Dad?" Remy asked his father.

"You better drop it, Remy." Tilly told him. "I asked that to Papa. It'll only lead to disappointment." She looked at Nacy.

"Oh, hey, Mama."

"Hey, Tilly." Nancy said back with a smile.

"Sorry, son." Russell told him. "But we will find your friend. Don't you worry." He and his parents then hugged. His parents and everybody else left. Alice shut the door behind them.

"I'm going to watch more TV." She told them. "You kids don't cause trouble." She left them alone. Remy sighed sadly.

"I wish they'll find Cricket." He said. "I also wished we could look for him too."

"Me too." Tilly spoke.

"I also want to see Vasquez again, but have no idea where they sent him. He doesn't deserve to be behind bars." Tilly thought about this, then looked at Remy.

"Remy, I have an idea."
