Hello there everyone how are you doing today and how was your thanksgiving?
Mine was ok.
So here in this chapter Adrien asks his cousin Felix for help.
Shades was filled in about Felix and is cautious.
Also this chapter will be a bit shorter as I am working on other stories and also working with another writer on an outline for a unique crossover story on Ao3.
In other words my hands are tied.
Now with that said it's time to get going on the chapter.
Here we go.
I don't own any of this.
Chapter 12: a cousin lending a hand
Adrien made a call to Felix who was in London and he was explaining to him what is going on and he needed his help.
"I see." Said Felix in a calm tone. "So you decided to do what you want to do?"
"In a way yes and I need your help." Adrien said.
"I'll think about it and call you back tomorrow." Felix said as he hung up.
Adrien sighed he put his phone on the night stand and then charge it up for the night.
"Well let's hope he say yes." He said as he got in bed.
"I hope so." Plagg says.
"Me too." Added Fluff.
"I wonder how Shades is going to react." Adrien pondered.
He found out the next day.
He met with Shades at the Eiffel Tower late in the afternoon and when he told him about Felix, Shades was surprised but also cautious.
"Adrien I don't want to question your choice but are you really sure about this?" he asked him.
"I know Shades, I understand you being cautious and I know why, last time my cousin came, he really caused a lot of trouble, but I know he's a good person, but he did that because well his father was an absolute jerk." He said with a bit of anger in his voice near the end.
Shades nodded.
"But I got you guys in case Felix tries to pull a fast one." Adrien assured them.
"Good point all the same we have to be careful." Warned Shades.
Adrien nodded.
"Before we continue this, kid I need to tell you of Marinette being Multimouse." Said Plagg.
"That can wait Plagg." Adrien said.
"No it can't Adrien." Plagg said now serious.
Plagg then told Adrien of how Marinette use a lot of Miraculous jewels including the mouse to help rescue him and Tikki from Kwamibuster but using so many Miraculous at once was very dangerous because of the strain it puts on the user and if she wasn't careful it would've killed her.
Adrien was shocked to hear that, that his lady made a gamble like that to save Plagg and Tikki, he was shocked, scared, but impressed at the same time, Marinette took a big risk but it worked out, but even he knew she has to be very careful if she decides to try a stunt like that again.
"Wow my lady is really resilient." He said in a impressed tone.
"She really is." Agreed Shades.
"So what's the next move?" asked Fluff.
"Well we wait for Felix's next call." Said Adrien.
"So when he does call what do you think he wants?" Plagg asked.
"Don't know but we're going to find out." Replied Adrien.
Just then Felix was calling.
"Ok then here we go." He said as he answered the phone.
"Hello Felix." Adrien said.
"Adrien I thought about what you said and I've decided to help you out on this." Said Felix.
"Really?" Adrien said a little excited.
"Yes but under 1 condition." Felix said sternly.
"What is it?" Adrien asked.
"I'll tell you after we take care of Lila, can you meet me in London?" Felix asked.
"Sure I'll be there right away." Replied Adrien.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Felix.
"You'll find out." Said Adrien and hung up.
"Ok Shades let's do this." He said.
Shades nodded and used his powers to warp himself, Adrien, Plagg and Fluff all the way to London at Felix's home.
Both Kwami's went into hiding in Adrien's jacket.
Just then Felix came out from his home and saw them.
"What the hell?" he said surprised.
"Hey Felix." Greeted Adrien.
"How did you get here?" he asked still surprised.
"That would be my part." Shades said.
Shades and Felix did their introduction part and soon they got down to business.
They then explained to Felix of what's going on minus the part of knowing who Viperion, Pegasus and Ladybug are, also they showed him all the things Lila has done before she came to Paris and Felix felt the same way that Adrien, Alya, Max and Luka when they found out as well and got angry.
"Adrien you can count on me to help you bring that lying bitch down for good." Felix says.
"Thank you Felix." Said Adrien hugging him.
Felix grunted but he returned the hug and then they let go.
"But in exchange in helping you, I will need a favor in return." Felix said.
"What kind of favor?" Shades asked feeling curious and a bit suspicious.
"I will tell you 2 that when after Lila is dealt with." He said remaining firm.
"Come on Felix you can tell us." Adrien pleaded.
"Forget it Adrien, if we want to know, then we're going to have to honor our word and he'll tell us once Lila is defeated." Shades sighed knowing Felix is going to be quite stubborn.
Adrien sighed.
"Ok Felix."
"Lucky for you 2 I got 2 weeks of free time, so I can help out, so Shades is it, you think can warp us back to Paris?" asked Felix.
He got a suitcase ready.
"Yeah but after that I need to recharge for about 30 minutes before doing long warps like that again." Shades explained.
"Ok then let's head for my place and hopefully Shades can rest before he warps again." Said Adrien.
"Ok everyone gather around me." Shades said.
(At Adrien's room in Paris)
He then used his powers to warp them back to Paris and they were at Adrien's room at his house.
Shades went down on one knee as he was catching his breath.
"Are you ok Shades?" Adrien asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, just need to rest for 30 minutes so I can warp again, any more and it'll take longer for me to recharge." Says Shade.
Felix came over and he and Adrien helped Shades onto the couch.
Adrien then went out to get some snacks for them and plan their next move.
He came back with some snacks and offer some to Felix and Shades.
"Thanks." They said.
"So Adrien what do you have planned in order to expose Lila?" Felix asked.
"Well." Adrien took a bite out of the apple. "Lila does tend to keep her guard up and she really likes to boast all of her 'accomplishments' so we'll use that as a weakness."
"Good move Adrien to bring down an enemy, you must find their weakness and find a way to use it against them." Advised Felix.
"Indeed." Replied Shades.
As time went on, Shades felt his energy coming back to him slowly but steady, but he had a feeling of dread of something was coming.
Outside of Adrien's home dark storm clouds gathered around the city of Paris, thunder rumbled as something or someone was approaching the manor.
After a few minutes went by, Shades was fully recharged and had finished his snack.
Felix finished his snack as well.
"Ok then well Felix I think we better get going, I don't think you like your uncle asking questions of why you're here." Suggested Shades.
"Good point, Well Adrien I'll see you around." Felix said as he grabbed his suitcase and went over to Shades.
"We will see you around tomorrow Adrien, get some rest." Said Shades.
"Alright good night guys." He said.
Shades then used his powers to warp Felix and himself away.
Suddenly as if it sensed Shades' warping the mysterious figure changed course and went the other way.
Soon Shades brought Felix to his place for the duration of his stay in Paris.
"Ok Felix I have the guest room prepare for you, so if you need anything let me know, I have a feeling you're exhausted, so maybe you should go and get some rest, we can chat with Adrien about the next move tomorrow." Shades suggested.
Felix nodded and said good night as he went into the guest room to unpack and get some rest and Shades went to sit in his chair and rest for a bit.
But before he could drift off for a long sleep, his senses were on full alert as he sensed something was coming.
"What the hell is this presence? I haven't sensed anything like this since… OH NO!" Shades thought.
Knowing this was bad, he knew he had to act before things go wrong.
So he warped from his place and was outside heading off to meet whatever was coming and away from his hideout.
Looks like there was going to be a fight.
(next time: a thunderous clash with the unknown foe)
Ok that ends this chapter.
Like I said it was going to be one of the shorter chapters as I am currently busy with other stories.
So next chapter will be focusing on Shades battling the unknown enemy.
Also he will use some moves from a certain card game/ animated series that you might know of and it's going to make a comeback someday.
Now the chapter that has Adrien checking on Marinette as Cat Noir and meeting up with Ladybug will be saved for the next chapter.
Now the favor Felix has in mind will be explained later in vol 2.
Now then this is one of the 4 chapters I am going to do before I take a break for the rest of 2024.
Ok with that said I am going to get some rest.
