Lincoln looked a little unsure about going to meet royalty like this. Would this Octavia think he is lame like Loona does about him (in general)? Or would she might be a new friend to him like Loona and Tex are.
He honestly didn't know what to make of this. He was thinking deep down in his thoughts again and wondered if he should meet This Octavia person.
On the other hand; he did meet a couple of nice demons down here, and Vortex is like a gentle giant. Moxxie and Millie seemed to have a healthy relationship for a pair of demons, and Blitzo seemed to love Loona with all his heart. On top of that, Loona does seem to like Lincoln a little bit, and is willing to be friends with him, considering the fact that she saved him from being killed. Perhaps he was being a little too quick to judge about the whole ordeal.
"Earth to Lincoln?" Asked Loona
"Sorry, I was just thinking in my head."
"About what?"
This time, Lincoln told the truth on this one and admitted: "What if I get in trouble or what if a hungry demon eats me up?"
"Come on, many demons around here used to be people who committed sins.
"Fair enough."
"Don't worry, you'll be fine. Many demos. Probably wouldn't even care if you are down here anyway." Loona added. "Just stick close to me and nothing bad will happen. Anyone who tries to hurt or eat you will either get their head ripped off or their body split in two, and I don't mean it like in a magic trick.
"Good." Lincoln sounded relieved to hear that. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it."
"So what's Stolas like?"
"If you thought Blitzo was weird, wait until you meet this guy. You'll be weirded out to meet this crazy fucker. But he's alright, mostly."
"Ok."
"I will say this however, it's Stella you need to stay away from. She is a real classist piece of shit who look down on people lower than her. And she is quite a screamer."
"Like a vulture?"
"Well she might not look like one, but you can totally say she behaves like a vulture."
"What if she hurts me?"
Loona sighed and said: "you're worrying too much again, Lincoln. Try to relax and take it easy. I mean, she and Stolas are about to split up anyway, so it's likely you won't be able to see her at all."
"Ok, I'll take your word for it."
"Ok. So anything you would like to eat down here? There's some brownies down here."
"No thanks, "I already had some of Dad's Lynn-sagna from yesterday."
"Lynn-sagna?"
"Yeah, he's a good chef and he makes good food, and he likes to name his dishes after himself."
"Oh goody. How creative."
They both got off Loona's bed and they went out the front door when Blitzo came home. "I'm back!" He sang.
Loona facepalmed herself and groaned: "oh dear Satan."
"Hey Lincoln! Spending some time with my, Loony here?"
"Shut up, Blitzo. You're embarrassing me again."
"What? I'm always happy to see your friends."
"I told you, Lincoln's not my friend. Just someone I know."
"Right, sorry." Blitzo turned to Lincoln again. "So what brings you here to our place, kiddo?"
"Well, um, Loona wanted me to have this as a gift." Lincoln said.
"Nice, that's really nice of you, Loona."
"Whatever."
"Well, Loona, why don't you meet my friend Clyde? He's a nice guy."
Loona groaned and said: "I'm not really into nice guys, Lincoln."
"You met my family."
"Fair enough. But fine, I'll meet your friend." Loona rolled her eyes. "I doubt he is cool though."
"Loony be careful out there." Blitzo said. "Try not to get lost."
"Oh will you shut up already?!" Said Loona. "I'm fucking twenty-two for fucks sake!"
"I'm sorry." Said Blitzo. "I'll open the portal for you."
The imp did just that and created a vortex between Hell and Earth. "Come on Lincoln, let's go."
"Right behind you."
"And Blitzo, I'll call you when I need you to open the portal back up." As the two set foot through the portal to Royal Woods. Of course, Loona changed into her human self to blend in. "So where does he live?"
"Not far from my house. We'll be there in no time."
"That's fine."
"Plus I wasn't so sure about eating somewhere in Hell. I mean, what if I accidentally eat something poisonous?"
"Understandable, kid."
"And parents, am I right?"
"Urgh. Tell me all about it. One of these days, I am going to take a vacation from that Blitzo."
"What's stopping you?"
"Isn't it obvious? The money in trying to find the right vacation spot. Besides, I need to convince him to let me take a vacation with Tex and not baby me so much."
"Why can't he just listen to you?"
"Heh, beats me. Maybe because he is out of his mind. Or he just can't take a hint. Although he was in a circus before."
"Really?"
"Uh-huh. His dad was a ringmaster for the act. Blitzo was one of the acrobats and clowns who made balloon animists... but he was godawful at doing that."
"What made him give it up?"
"He had a fallout with one of his friends, Fizzaroli, and didn't want to go back to that life."
"Ooh." Lincoln looked uncomfortable. "That must have been tough."
"He's had fallouts with many people in his life." Loona pointed. "And... to tell you the truth, I never met Octavia before. Blitzo just told me about her and how she was struggling in her life. She doesn't really have any friends in her life, except for her dorky dad."
Lincoln felt sympathy for this Octavia character. "You didn't have to lie to me like that."
"I know, i know. But i'm not good at... showing how I feel."
"Why doesn't Octavia make friends with other Goetia kids?" Lincoln asked
"Most of them aren't quality friends." Loona admitted. "Most of them are probably raised to be total assholes like their parents anyway."
"Ah."
Finally, the two made it to Clyde's house, and Loona had her arms crossed, looking on her phone as usual. "Well, i guess this is the place." she noted. "So let's get this over with so we can go." she rolled her eyes again. "Or why don't we just say hi and go?"
"Come on, Loona." said Lincoln. "you'll like him. Believe me."
"I'll be the judge of that." said the disguised hellhound. "Ready when you are."
Lincoln smiled and knocked on the door. After five seconds passed, There was Clyde himself, looking happy to see Lincoln. "Hey buddy." he said. Both of them did their own handshake together. "Clincoln McCloud." they both said.
"Wow, quite a catchphrase you have there. I knew you guys would have a weird relationship." said Loona before looking at Clyde again. "Heh, i knew you would look like a dork too."
Clyde frowned.
"Clyde, this is Loona, the one who saved me from those muggers." Lincoln pointed. "Don't worry, she's a good person."
"Wow, you look beautiful." said Clyde. "You're from Hazeltucky?"
"Uhhhh, yeah, Hazeltucky." the disguised hellhound lied to him to keep her secret safe. "I'm an out-of-towner. But i go to many places... by car." she added. "So much to see out here in the world. I go wherever I want."
"Almost." Clyde said. "Except for North Korea. They hate us. Angola is also one of the hardest countries to try and get a visa to enter."
"Pfft, let's just see those North Korean commies try to take me down. I'll take them all on by myself. And visas? Who even needs them anymore?" Loona retorted. "Angola might have strict rules, but i don't really care about the rules."
Clyde wasn't really sure on what to make about Loona. "Well, thanks for saving my friend. He would have been dead without you and your help."
"Don't mention it, Clyde. I can see why you guys are best friends."
"Yeah we're best friends forever." said Lincoln while he and Clyde side-hugged one another to show their unbreakable bond. "Nothing can ever tear apart this friendship."
"So Loona, wanna come in and have some cookies? They're lemon flavored."
Loona had an uncomfortable look on her face, and she said: "I don't know. I'm not really a people person."
"Come on Loona." said Clyde. "Please? For me?"
Groaning again, Loona decided to just give into Lincoln's little request, and said: "Fine. I'll only do it for you, Lincoln." The white-haired boy smiled gratefully, and they both walked inside, with Loona looking uncomfortable. At least she was getting some nice hospitality.
