It took Lynn almost a complete minute before he could react, red hot rage was boiling deep in his veins and it was a miracle he didn't kick the coffee table in his haste to stand up...

Leni scrambled out of his path while Luan followed him twords his bed room, Lynn flung the door open and saw the closet wide open and the lack of Rita's clothes sent him into a rage.

He swiped all the knick knacks off their shared dresser and he pulled the drawers open to find them too empty...she'd really done it now the selfish bitch had gone and truly fucked them.

The sound of glass breaking attracted the rest of the kids, the worried faces of his children desperately wanting answers from their only remaining parent.

Of all the petty things Rita could of done this was by far the most selfish...worst of all she stole from Lori's college savings.

That savings account was for their children...how could she of slunk so low?

Rita leisurely ate her salad, the restaurant they were eating at was more on the high end side so she was wearing a a light blue dress with a sweater over her shoulders. She paired this with a new pair of earrings and a Tiffany necklace.

All Rodney's treat ofcourse. It was their first official day together and Rita was working hard to keep things in her favor. Across the table Rod made goo goo eyes at her, it was almost too easy.

Both of his snot nosed brats sat on her each side, the little one was passable...but the oldest was an ugly little bastard. It made her glad she had her tubes tied after Lilly, she couldn't imagine having an ugly child and Rodney's oldest was hideous.

They were going to have Lynn served with divorce papers, she filled as soon as she could and knowing Lynn he wasn't likely to contest a divorce.

He was probably pissed off about the money but.she was entitled to her fair part of the resources, think of it as her penitence for twenty years saddled with Lynn.

After he calmed down, Lynn gathered the kids in the living room for an emergency family meeting. Things would be changing whether they wanted it to of not, Rita's income was necessary to their basic survival.

If anything he'd probably have to sell the Pinto, hopefully the van didn't crap out on him.

" what's going Dad"?

Lori was holding Lilly close to her body, attempting to soothe the fussy infant.

Lynn felt his heart ache for his oldest, Lori was only six months shy of starting college and now she was might not be able to attend like originally planned. It made him feel furious all over again.

Leni and Luan both had downcast expressions on their faces but otherwise they remained silent, probably still in shock from reading that disgusting letter Rita left.

Nodding in resignation Lynn decided to pull the bandage off, " kids...I need you all to listen to me, this is going to hard for me say but I don't have a choice and we are in

this situation together."

" Daddy, your scaring me", Lola whined impatiently making the whole situation hurt Lynn all the more.

His children looked terrified, Luan's head was downcast while Leni was already crying...taking a deep breath Lynn forced himself to speak.

" Your mother has left us...she packed her belongings up last night and left a letter saying that she no longer considered herself a member of our family, to make Matters worse she took money out of our shared accounts"...

Lori's eyes widened as she came to Lynn's intended realization.

" SHE STOLE, MY MONEY OFR COLLEGE"!

with that everyone started talking over each other and arguing amongst themselves, while Lori stormed off in the direction of her bedroom with Leni following close behind.

" may I inquire to the nature of said letter", Lisa's lisp barley managed to cut through the noise but Lynn felt far more disappointed than he thought he would.

Silently Lynn bent down and gave Lisa the letter Rita left, he knew his kids well enough to know that they would all want to see it.

Lisa sped read through the letter, while her siblings crowded around her. The twins and Lucy on either side while Lynn and Lincoln crowded along the side, if anyone looked closely they would notice that Lincoln was holding Lynn Jr's hand or how he whispered softly into her ear.

" what on earth ish she thinking"? Lisa exclaimed.

" this isn't cool dude...how could she do this to us", Luna whispered in disgust as she crouched over her siblings to read her mother's vile letter.

Lola and Lana ran to their father with tears in their eyes, Lynn sr dropped down and grabbed both his daughters and tried to console them, their sobs just another testemate to Rita's selfishness.

While on the inside a wild storm of emotions threatened to spill over, Lynn had to fight with all he had to be strong for his children. He did not have the same self centered nature as Rita, and seeing what she had done to their children made his heart harden.

Lynn hated now truly Rita.

After that meeting everyone needed time to process what had just happened, Lynn Sr included.

Luan took the time to rationalize her feelings for her mom...they weren't particularly close but it still stung knowing how little they had all ment to her.

Had she ever loved them at all? why have kids if you weren't going to love them? That's not even including Lori's college money...Luan couldn't help wondering if any of them had really know her.

After dinner Luan cautiously approached her father's bedroom, with mom gone he was now the rooms sole occupant.

Dad tried to maintain a brave face, but Luan could only imagine the pain he was going through. It was terrible that their mom had done something like this Dad, admissions of her bais aside.

Knocking softly, Luan waited for her father to answer.

" Come in ".

He sounded absolutely exhausted, making Luan temporarily falter...

The door swung open and her father was standing in the doorway, holding it open for Luan to enter the darkened room. his shirt was unbuttoned but he was not yet in his pajamas.

Upstairs Lincoln sat next to Lynn Jr still shocked from the day...their mom had abandoned them and effectually stole close to five thousand dollars from Lori's college savings account.

That wasn't the only thing on his mind however, Lynn jr was acting strange...it started the same day he walked home with Ronnie Ann. Part of Lincoln was sure it was the guilt, if Lynn found out it would probably hurt her feelings and Lincoln was desperate to protect the new relationship they had developing.

" Lynn...did I do something to make you upset, you haven't really been talking to me"?

Lynn looked a little more pale than usual, her face was gaurded as if she was deep in thought.

" where have you been going Lincoln? I waited for you after school and you weren't there", there was an accusation in the tone that Jr used.

Lincoln froze as he fumbled for an excuse, Ronnie Ann had invited him over for an...ehem study date. He had no idea that Lynn had been looking for him however...

Lynn Jr fought to keep the tears but felt her eyes sting nonetheless, it was almost a month ago that she took that infamous pregnancy test.

The stress was seriously starting to eat at her, Luna was going to keep her word for now but Lynn knew it was inevitable.

Her stomach was already starting to become soft and her breasts were painfully swollen, once barley there misquote bite tits Lynn now had a small pair of A-cups that were disproportionate to her still skinny frame.

The past month was terrible, before sunrise Lynn often found herself emptying her guts into the not so porcelain.

It didn't matter what she did, her stomach would heave and bubble. Luna was starting to pressure her now with her symptoms becoming more severe.

And then there was Lincoln...

" I was walking home with Clyde...I couldn't find you so I figured you had already left".

Lincoln rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably, as he avoided Lynn's gaze. the gesture alone pissed her off, how dare he try to avoid her!

" yeah right, you were with Clyde that time...This isn't the first time you've disappeared before, and I know it always isn't Clyde" Lynn snapped with venom practically dripping off her words.

Lincoln's eyes widened as he snorted " what about you? You've been a grumpy asshole for the better half of the month, I won't keep asking what's wrong Lynn if you won't talk to me".

Lynn shot off the bed with hot tears falling across her cheeks, Lincoln's face fell and he pulled the brunette into his arms, " I'm sorry Lynn..."

Lynn sunk into Lincoln's embrace, silently sobbing into his shoulder. Everything was changing too fast...and all the shit with mom was making her extra emotional. Lynn just wanted to be warm and loved, she wanted everything to go back to the way it was before she took that stupid test, she wanted her old family back.

That was all a fantasy now...things would never go back to the way they were before.
