A/N: read chapter 9 again because I changed it a few days ago. So this story won't make sense if you haven't read it yet.
The sixth body was found the next day. This time the front of his throat was completely eaten along with half of his chest and a few of his organs. Kagome read the news from her phone as she waited for her stop. She had taken the train to New York as she was meeting up with a friend. The Priestess believed that she knew what this creature was but she wanted to make sure it was true. Her friend in New York is her ear to the monster underground so she would know what's going on. Richard wasn't with her as he had a different case to deal with his partner Henry. Kagome didn't mind as she believed it was for the better. Her friend can be very flirtatious around men. That was her plan but when she told Jack her plan he had Hannibal and Will go with her.
"I told you guys that you didn't have to come with me." Kagome said as she put her phone away. "I'm only going to be there for a few hours."
"Jack was worried that the Ripper might show up if you were in a different city." Will said "It would be a perfect way to take you with anyone noticing."
Hannibal had to stop himself from smirking as he listened. They sat across from her in their cart. She and Will were gonna settle for normal seats but Hannibal had bumped them into first class. Kagome wasn't surprised as she wouldn't expect him to be anywhere else.
"So you two are gonna be my bodyguard?" Kagome teased "Got it."
"Who is this friend that you're gonna see?" Hannibal ask
"Her name is Cerys. She my ears to certain things like this. Monsters pretty much have the same patterns and traits that it's hard to tell which one is which." Kagome explained "I'm a priestess not a hunter. I won't kill those that have nothing to do with this case. Some beings, like the one we're after, go overboard and kill for the fun of it, while some are just trying to exist in this world. This is why I don't work with most Hunters. They only see black and white with Monsters. With me…I can see the gray. I can see the good in them."
"You have a very generous heart. Not many would think that way." Will said
"That's why I don't judge those by first appearance." She smiled
"So I'm guessing that your friend isn't human if she works in the monster underground." Hannibal stated
Kagome nodded.
"Let's just say, her kind is the type that men easily lust for." She hinted
When their station finally came they got off and hailed for a taxi. Kagome told the driver where to go and they arrived at a club called Djerba. After Will paid the driver Kagome turned to them and warned them of what they might see inside. It was an S club for humans and the supernatural. So they might see things that might be out of their comfort zone. She asked if they wanted to wait outside for her but they assured her that they'll be fine. The guard let them inside and they walked down a hallway that was covered with artwork on the wall. The hostess greeted Kagome before looking at her friends.
"Well, well, Kagome I didn't think you were into threesomes." The hostess smirked. "So whos' the one in the middle?"
Kagome turned red from embarrassment while Will blushed a little and he let out an awkward cough.
"Rachel, you know better than to pry on our customers. Whatever their business is, is none of ours."
A woman appeared in the room without them noticing. She had long straight blonde hair, with piercing blue eyes and wore a red kimono that showed off her large breast.
"Hello Cerys." Kagome said
"Kagome, darling, it's been so long." Cerys smiled and hugged her.
The woman turned to look at Hannibal and Will. Kagome saw the smirk on her face as Cerys walked up to them and used her enchanting charm on them. Unknown to Will, he was already in her trance and leaned in as she caressed his cheek. When she tried to do the same with Hannibal but he just took her hand and kissed it before introducing himself. Cerys raised a brow as she knew he wasn't fully under her charm but continued smiling.
"Yummy. Are they offerings?" Cerys slyly asked
"Sorry, Cerys, but no. So lower your charm." Kagome glared
"Just having some fun." Cerys smiled before eyeing the men again with lust. "After all, they are my type. But I am curious as to why they are here. Are they cops?"
"No. But they kind of work for the FBI." Kagome said
"You know my rules, Kagome." Cerys said, giving the men an icy stare. "My clients deserve privacy. They are gonna have to wait in the lobby."
Knowing that it shouldn't be long, Kagome asked for them to wait. Hannibal didn't like the idea of her being alone in a room full of monsters without protection. Cerys saw the worry in his eyes and promised that Kagome would be fine before taking Kagome inside. Once inside Kagome believed it was for the best that Will and Hannibal stayed behind. There were many creatures in their true forms in different rooms doing many sextual things with one another. She didn't think they were ready for this world.
"So what's with the wolf and dog? You normally come with that other delicious cop." Cerys asked
"Unfortunately for me I captured a serial killer's attention and now he's stalking me. They're here to make sure he doesn't show up and kidnap me." Kagome explained
"Aren't you lucky." Cerys sighed in blissed.
She hooks her arm with Kagome and takes the priestess inside her office.
"Tell me, Kagome darling, what's your relation with the wolf? I can smell that he has a deep affection towards you." Cerys asked as she walked towards the bar and started pouring both of them a drink. "The dog too, but the wolf is so much stronger."
"Can we not discuss that?" Kagome asked
"Aw, come on, I hardly do any girltalk." Cerys pouted
"There's really nothing between Hannibal and me. I'll admit that I am attracted to him and he wants me to give him a chance but…" Kagome sighed as she took a sip of her drink.
"It's the darkness in his soul that's worrying you." Cerys smirked
Kagome nodded.
"Come on, Kagome, you've dated far darker beings before." Cerys said "I always thought you had an animal fetish as you dated a half-breed dog demon, a silver fox demon and a bat demon. You even dated a werewolf. Out of all of those, the half-breed was the worst relationship."
"You never liked Inuyasha." Kagome said
"Other than trying to kill me the first time we met, he did break your heart many times." Cerys hissed
Kagome couldn't help but agree.
"But Hannibal is different. He's completely human. And normally those with that kind of dark soul are abusivers and killers." Kagome explained
This had her pause a bit as she started to wonder about something. Cerys knew where her mind was heading and decided to distract her from it. She read into the mans' mind and she saw the man was deeply in love with Kagome. Maybe a bit obsessive but she believed Hannibal might be a good fit for her old friend. If not she could easily kill him.
"The creature you are looking for is a Succubus." Cerys said
"The seducing demon. Possession or natural?" Kagome asked
"Possession. The girl you're looking for goes to University of Baltimore, Freshmen. All the information you want is in this file." Cerys replied
She handed the priestess a black folder and Kagome looked through it. The possessed girl is named Tara Prescott. A 19 year old that went missing two weeks ago.
"Thank you, Cerys." Kagome said as handed her payment.
"Do come back again, Kagome. I miss our time together." Cerys smiled
They stood up and kissed each other on the cheek.
"And bring the dog and wolf with you. I'm sure we all can have some fun." Cerys smirked

The next day Kagome explained to Jack what they were dealing with and believed it was best that she dealt with this creature alone. Succubus are female demons that prey upon men, can easily trap them with their charm and can make them do anything she wants. Jack didn't allow it as he remembered last time when she faced something like this. He didn't want her to get hurt so he told her to take Beverly Katz. In Kagomes' free time they looked into Taras' life from her home and school. They didn't get much from the parents as they believed their daughter was a popular girl who was a kind and lovely girl. Her high school brother and her old friends had a different version of Tara. With them Tara was known as the mean girl and a bit easy with the guys. She was into boy bands, fashion and many other things girls her age liked. There were no signs of witchcraft or anything from the occult in her dorm or her bedroom from her parents house. Kagome couldn't see how this girl could be possessed by such a demon. The only thing Kagome could have thought of is if Tara and her friend did a summoning for fun and it went wrong. Or the worst possible theory; some idiots try to use her for a human sacrifice and didn't know that she was no longer a virgin. None of her friends knew what happened and the women knew they wouldn't talk. So Kagome had an idea. Since the bodies were still in the morgue Kagome decided to do a summoning of her own by talking to the spirits. She had a feeling that one of the men might know. After gathering what she needed she placed everything in a bowl and drew the symbol for summoning spirits on the floor. She muttered a few words before lighting the bowl on fire.
"Where am I? Is this hell?"
Kagome looked up and saw that it was the second victim. Brian Dumphee, the one that died at his bachelor party. From his files he went to the same university as Tara but he was a senior from a middle class family. After Tara's disappearance he's had a lot of luck on his side. He was Valitroian for his college graduation, even though there were ten other students that had better scores and grades than him. He landed a great job at a medical robotic company, lived in a grand house and was gonna have a grand wedding with the woman of his dreams.
"Why do you say that?" Kagome asked
The man didn't say anything but looked away in guilt.
"Tell me, do you know what happened to Tara Prescott?" She asked
His eyes widened when she said that name.
"Six men, including you, died by her hand. After looking from your files the five of you had a lot of luck. Two got very wealthy from the stocks, one became partners to a well known firm and the other got a movie deal in New York." Kagome said "And you…well, you were able to land a job at a company that never employs barely out of universities' students, paid off all your loans when you didn't have a job and should I go on."
Brain shook his head.
She believed it was out of guilt and maybe to save his soul that he told her what happened. They all became friends when they were freshmen and around their senior years they all became worried because of their student loans, not getting the job that they wanted to get and not knowing if they were ready to be adults. Brain thought Max Ringer, the first victim, was just joking around when he mentioned making deals with the demon. He swore that he didn't know that they kidnapped Tara and that they forced him to continue with the ritual. It was Max that stabbed Tara with a santaic blade. Since the ritual all their dreams came true. All of them got money, their dream job and fame.
Once Kagome got the information that she wanted she now needed to track the Succubus. The creature got her revenge but now it was still free and feeding on other men. Just as she was gonna gather everything Kagome sensed another spirit in the room. Looking to the side she saw someone she didn't know. It was Nickolas Boyles.
"Can you see me?" He asked
"Yes. Who are you?" She asked
After Boyles told her what happened to him she didn't know what to do. She had heard about the case with Abigail Hobbs from Will and Beverly. From what Beverly told her everyone still had their suspension if the young woman was involved in her dads' murders. Will, Alana and Hannibal were the only ones that believed she was innocent. When Boyles' disappeared she sensed another person in the room. She turned around and saw that it was Will.
"Did…did you hear everything?" She asked
He nodded.
"I came in to see Nickolas Boyles body…to find answers." Will said, rubbing his face. "I wasn't expecting you to talk to him."
"I didn't. I was just contacting the Succubus victims." She said
She gathered and cleaned up everything before putting them in a bag.
"What are you gonna do?" She asked
Will wasn't sure. But he wanted answers. He heard how Hannibal had covered for Abigail and he wanted to know why he did that. Will asked Kagome to go with to confront the good doctor. She agreed as she also wanted to know why as this could go wrong for Hannibal. They arrived at Hannibals' office, pretty quickly. Kagome did call ahead, telling him that she and Will needed to discuss something with him. In his office Hannibal was sketching something on his sketchbook when they arrived.
"Hello, Will. Hello, Kagome." He greeted
Will looked at Kagome before looking back at Hannibal.
"Abigail Hobbs killed Nick Boyle." Will said
"Yes, I know." Hannibal repiled
Will nodded.
"Tell me why you know." Will asked
"I helped her dispose of the body." Hannibal said
"Evidently not well enough." Will scoffed
"Have you two told Jack Crawford?" Hannibal asked
"No." Kagome said
"Why not?" He asked
"I asked her not to. And I was hoping it wasn't true." Will said "I was hoping his ghost was lying."
Hannibal nodded as he knew this might happen. A part of him was tempted to use the scalpel to kill Will but decided against that. He wanted to see how far he could take this.
"Now you both know the truth." He said as he got up from his chair.
"Do we?" Kagome asked
"Everything you know about that night is true, except the end." Hannibal explained. "Nicholas Boyle attacked us. Abigail's only crime was to defend herself, and I lied about it."
"Why?" Will asked
"You know why." Hannibal said with huff. "Because Jack Crawford would hang her for what her father's done, and the world would burn Abigail in his place. That would be the story. That would be what Freddie Lounds writes."
Kagome sat down on one of his chairs as this was too much information to handle. Will felt the same way and walked towards the window.
"Abigail is no more a killer than you are for shooting her father, Will. Or I am for the death of Tobias Budge." Hannibal stated and looked at Kagome. "Or you for the death of Sindys' mother."
"It isn't our place to decide…" Kagome glared
"If not ours, then whose?" Hannibal asked and looked at Will. "Who knows Abigail better than you and I? Or the burden she bears? We are her fathers now. We have to serve her better than Garret Jacob Hobbs."
Will and Kagome looked away, still unsure.
"If you go to Jack, then you murder Abigail's future." Hannibal said
Still nothing but silent.
"Do I need to call my lawyer?" He asked
Will sighed. He knew that Hannibal was right. If this gets out Abigail will have no future. He looked at Hannibal and shook his head. They both look at Kagome with pleading looks. She was now hating herself for summoning the spirits. Seeing how these two cared for this girl it looked like she had no choice but to agree.
"We can tell no one." Hannibal said
Hannibal placed a hand on Will's shoulder and patted it before walking to Kagome and took her hands into his.
"I'm sorry you had to be a part of this." He said and kissed her hand. "But what we are doing here is the right thing. In time, this will be the only story any of us cares to tell."

After a few days Kagome was able to locate where the Succubus could be. She knew that Jack said to call him or Beverly when she found the killer. But they are still new at this and she didn't want to risk their lives. She was at a house that belonged to one of the teachers that work at the same University. He was in his late thirties but he was very good looking. He looked like Taras' type. All the girls in his class had crushes on him and a few employees commented that he had a very active love life. Just as she got out of her car and walked up the house she stopped. She sighed in annoyance as she sensed Hannibals' aura nearby.
"Hannibal, what are you doing here?" She asked
She wasn't in the mood to deal with him now. The priestess was still pissed off with him and Will. Hannibal came out from his spot. He has been trying to talk to her for the past two days and was a bit worried for her. While another part of him was thrilled to see the killer side of her again. He was a bit torn from protecting her and wanting to see her draw blood.
"You haven't returned my calls." He said
"Hannibal, now isn't the time." She replied "You should go. We can talk later."
"You've found her already, didn't you?" He said "She's here?"
"Yes, she is." She said
"And you're planning on dealing with her all by yourself?" He glared
She stepped towards him with a heated look and tried to look intimidating. Hannibal found it cute as she was only 5'5 to his 6'3. He just wanted to kiss her right now.
"Look, I am not some damsel in distress. I can handle myself." Kagome said "I know what I am doing. Now, please leave. If she catches wind of you, trust me, you'll be her next meal."
"I know, Kagome. But I care deeply for you. I don't want you to get hurt." Hannibal said, " And Jack will never let you do this again if you go in alone."
"Hanniba, you're not an agent." She said
"And neither are you." He replied "But she doesn't need to know that."
She could tell that he wasn't gonna go away so she let him.
"Why here?" He asked as they walked up to the house.
"According to her journal and her close friends, she and Mr. Tom Morgan had a secret affair every now and then." Kagome said
"The taboo love between a student and a teacher." Hannibal muttered
"He's been missing the exact same time Tara disappeared. I think she's been using this place as a hide out." Kagome said
When they got to the door Kagome knocked on the front door but of course no one answered. Kagome sensed that the creature was upstairs but hadn't moved. She didn't sense that man anywhere so she could only guess that she ate already. So she gestured for them to move to the back and see if the back door was unlocked. If not she could try and pick the lock. When they got to the backyard they saw Mr. Morgans' dog mutilated and covered with flies and maggots. Hannibal checked the door and it was unlocked. Inside they saw the kitchen that had a lot of dry blood. Kagome dared looked in the fridge and of course Mr. Morgan himself was inside. Just bits and pieces of him.
Upstairs, Tara was on Mr. Morgans' laptop looking for another victim. She heard the knock but ignored it, thinking they would go away. That was until she smelled them inside the house. Growling, she got up and went to deal with them. She spotted them coming from the living room and licked her lips as she saw Hannibal. He was very tasty in her eyes. They didn't look like cops nor sales people but it didn't matter to her. She was about to kill them but one of their scents made her stop. There was something about the woman's scent. It made Tara fear her. The scent made her recoil.
When Kagome spotted Tara on the upper level they locked eyes on one another. Kagome had her hand on her sheathed blade and waited for her to make the first move. Tara showed her true form and let out a roar before flying at them. The creature tried to slash at her but Kagome dodged her attack but managed to make a nick on her arm. Tara hissed before jumping on to Hannibal. The man was able to keep his arms up to keep her away from his jugular. He knew that was her favorite area to strike. She made him look at her and her eyes glowed.
"Kiss me." She command
She watched as his eyes flicked back from gowling to going back to normal. This stunned her as he wasn't in her control.
"Sorry, but my heart belongs to another." He said
Kagome threw her at the demon but it used her tail to swipe it away. Tara tossed Hannibal to the side and went after Kagome again. This time it wrapped her tail around Kagome's neck and was about to slice at her long claw like nails. Kagome just smirked as she grabbed a hold of the tail and poured all her reiki into her hands. Tara let out a painful roar as she was engulfed in a pink light. Within minutes Taras' body fell to the floor. Her wings and tail were gone. Her teeth went back to normal as well as her claws turned back to normal nails. Black smoke was coming out from her mouth. The demon inside her was dead and so was she. Hannibal rushed toward her and checked to see if was injured.
"Are you okay?" He asked "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Kagome nodded as she rubbed her neck. She was hoping that it wouldn't leave a bruise.
"Throats' a little sore but I'll be fine." She said before looking at him. "How were you not under her charm?"
First Cerys, who is a five hundred year vampire and a succubus. Two creatures that could easily make men do anything they want. Cerys once told her that only happens for two reasons. Men that don't have emotions are hard to control or when they are truly in love with someone. Hannibal caressed her face with one hand.
"I told you Kagome. I care deeply for you." Hannibal said
He leaned in and kissed her. She didn't know why but her body and mind were letting him.
Why did he have to be complicated?
Why was she attracted to a man with a dark soul?
