It was the fastest wedding setup the Boiling Isles had ever seen.
Under Emira's leadership (with Molly and Marcy coordinating efforts), workers quickly set up the altar and decorations. Chairs arrived in record time, transported by Abomatons in their vehicle modes, with Alador personally overseeing the logistics.
Willow worked her magic — literally — weaving vines and flowers into whimsical, colourful arrangements that framed the venue.
Gus and Skara teamed up to provide entertainment, with their combined magic producing a full illusionary band. Though she preferred the lyre, Skara's skill extended to multiple instruments, and with Gus's enhancements, the music would be nothing short of magical.
Marco and Masha did what they could, but with everyone else using magic, they mostly watched in awe at how fast things came together.
Meanwhile, Sasha and Marcy stuck close to Luz and Amity, just like during their fake engagement party.
That was when an unexpected visitor arrived.
Sasha was outside helping when she spotted someone approaching the Owl House. Her eyes narrowed. Before the visitor could get closer, Sasha bolted forward, stepping into their path.
"What are you doing here?" she demanded.
Bria stopped, hands raised in surrender.
"Wait, please. I'm not here to cause trouble."
Sasha folded her arms.
"Then why are you here?"
Instead of answering, Bria drew a spell circle, summoning two elegant dresses into her arms. Sasha's eyes flicked to the dresses, recognising them instantly. They were the same ones from the engagement party.
"I saw all the commotion around the Owl House, and figured Luz and Amity were getting married," Bria explained. "Since it's a short notice, I thought they might need these."
Sasha hesitated for a moment before reaching out and taking the dresses.
"These aren't cursed or anything, right?" Sasha questioned.
"No, they haven't been cursed or laced with any potions. You have my word," Bria swore.
Sasha wanted to trust her words, especially after yesterday, but she was still going to take these dresses to Eda to check and make sure that they had not been tampered with.
"Luz's dress is gonna need some modifying to get rid of the 'Empress' vibe," Sasha muttered. "But these will work. Thanks."
A pause.
Then, surprising even herself, Sasha asked, "Did you…want to stay?"
Bria shook her head.
"No. This is their moment. I don't want my presence to ruin it. Just…tell them I hope they have a wonderful wedding and a lifetime of happiness." And with that said, Bria turned and walked away.
Sasha watched her go, wondering if Bria and the other cultists would truly find a new path for themselves.
With Eda's magic, Luz's dress was modified — removing all traces of royal design, ensuring she looked like herself and not Oscura.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
Just as she finished adjusting the fabric, a knock sounded at the door.
"Come in."
The door opened, and in walked Eda — dressed in a dapper suit. She shut the door behind her, taking a moment to admire Luz in her wedding dress.
"Dang, kid. You really look good in that dress."
"Thanks to you, it's not some royal wedding dress," Luz smiled.
Eda stepped closer, placing her hands on Luz's shoulders, her golden eyes filled with emotion.
"I thought seeing Lil' Luz get married someday would be hard. But you?" Eda chuckled, voice wavering. "I thought I was ready for this, but... Titan, I'm just trying not to bawl my eyes out right now."
Luz wrapped her arms around Eda, tears pricking her own eyes.
"I just hope I can be a good partner…that I can make Amity happy."
"Hey, after everything I've seen, you will be. Boots is lucky to have you, kid."
"Thanks, Momma Eda."
They held each other for a long moment.
"So, about your little pest problem..." Eda gestured to Luz's head. "I don't know if we have time, but maybe we could..."
"No, it's fine." Luz shook her head. "Ever since we became Luzura, she's been quiet. I think we managed to reach an understanding."
"If you're sure, kid. And if she does give you trouble, be sure to teach her a lesson," Eda advised.
"Will do, Momma Eda."
Then the music started playing.
Eda stepped back, wiping away a stray tear.
"That's your cue."
Luz took a deep breath.
"Yeah."
Eda smirked.
"See ya outside."
Eda stepped outside.
Luz stood in the living room, facing the front door.
Her heart pounded.
'This is happening.'
She reached for the doorknob, took another steadying breath... And opened the door.
Outside, the front yard of the Owl House had been transformed into a stunning wedding venue. Tall stone columns lined the perimeter, woven with vibrant vines and blooming flowers.
A golden illusionary band played, orchestrated by Gus and Skara.
At the altar stood Raine, prepared to officiate.
A red carpet stretched from the front door to the altar, leading past rows of chairs filled with their loved ones.
To Luz's right, waiting with a radiant smile, was Amity. She extended her left arm.
"Shall we, mi amor?"
Luz smiled warmly.
"Lidera el camino, hermosa (Lead the way, Beautiful)."
Luz looped her arm through Amity's, and together, they walked down the aisle.
"I still can't believe they set all this up so fast," Amity whispered, amazed.
"Guess it just shows how much they wanted to see this happen."
The guests stood as they passed. Eda did her best to hold it together while Alador… Yeah, he was so full-on bawling, that Emira had to comfort him.
Luz and Amity exchanged glances with Willow, briefly wondering if she felt any lingering sadness. But she smiled brightly, tears of joy glistening in her eyes.
Nearby, Molly was openly sobbing, while Marco patted her back. Sasha, Masha, and Marcy sat in the front row, alongside Amity's family, Eda, King, and Lil' Luz.
Stringbean — wearing a tiny bow tie — was curled around Lil' Luz.
Even Tsumuri had attended, standing behind Sasha and Marcy, dabbing her eyes with a tissue.
Finally, Legal Eagle was among the guests, having received a special invitation.
At last, they reached the altar. Once the couple did so, everyone else who originally stood up from their seats sat back down.
Raine smiled softly and began.
"The importance of walking down the aisle together symbolises your willingness to walk through life side by side. Through joy and sorrow, through hardships and triumphs, you will share them all together." Raine extended a hand. "Now, please recite your vows."
Luz and Amity faced each other, holding hands.
"Amity Blight," Luz said, voice filled with love. "With this vow, I take you as mine."
"Luz Noceda," Amity echoed. "With this vow, I take you as mine."
They then recited the next lines of their vows together, in unison.
"Under the sky of the Boiling Isles, we are joined."
"Upon the land of the Titan, we are joined."
"Until the end of our lives, we are joined."
"Only to separate upon our deaths."
A glowing spell circle appeared. A string of shimmering, red light wrapped around Luz and Amity's rings, then burst into a cascade of glowing sparks.
"With this, you are bound in love, now and forever," Raine declared. "I now pronounce you married. Congratulations, Luz and Amity Blight-Noceda!"
As firebirds soared above them, Luz and Amity kissed passionately, their hearts bursting with pure love.
No matter what happened — they were together.
Now and forever.
Back in their private viewing chamber, Amara and Lumina sat side by side, watching the wedding unfold.
Tears welled in Amara's eyes as she sniffled, utterly captivated by the scene.
"That's…That's so beautiful," she murmured, voice trembling.
Without a word, Lumina reached over and handed her a tissue.
"Here."
Amara took it, dabbing at her tears while trying to compose herself.
"So…I know we weren't technically invited, but…" Lumina glanced at Amara, smirking mischievously. "Wanna go crash a wedding?"
After the ceremony, it was time to party. Guests flocked to the newlyweds, offering their congratulations.
Molly approached, pouting slightly.
"Oh, I wish I had a present," she lamented. "Something that would really enhappify you!"
Luz chuckled.
"Still on your mission to enhappify the world, huh?"
Molly rubbed the back of her head.
"Yeah…but I don't know if I can anymore," she sighed. "After the DGP, it's like I lost my enhappifying-ness."
Luz smiled gently, placing a reassuring hand on Molly's shoulder.
"That's okay. Just focus on doing good and being your best self." She squeezed her shoulder lightly. "If you can make yourself happy, I promise you'll spread that happiness to everyone around you."
Molly blinked, then grinned brightly.
"You always know just what to say, Luz."
"Welcome to the family, dear," Gwendolyn said warmly, pulling Amity into a hug.
"And I see your Palisman has hatched," Dell added, noticing Stringbean gliding beside Luz.
Luz beamed as Stringbean nuzzled her cheek.
"Yes, and she's perfect."
Gwendolyn's smile turned sly.
"So, then, how long do you think it'll be before we see some great-grandchildren?"
Luz and Amity both froze, faces instantly flushed.
"Oh—uh—" Luz stammered. "Probably not for a few years."
"Yeah," Amity quickly added. "We've got a lot to do in the Human Realm before we can settle down."
"Oh, pity," Gwendolyn sighed, dramatically placing a hand on her chest. "I suppose I'll just have to wait until King or Lil' Luz have children of their own."
Luz was about to respond when...
"You seem deep in thought."
"GAH!"
Luz jumped, nearly knocking Amity over. She spun to her right and saw Lumina nonchalantly munching on food from a plate.
"Lumina?!"
"And you know she's never alone," another familiar voice chimed in.
Amity turned to her left and found herself face-to-face with Amara.
"So, you two decided to join us," Amity noted, recovering quickly.
Luz furrowed her brow.
"Actually…are you two going to be okay?" she asked. "After everything that's happened, your timeline must've been majorly altered. Won't that—?"
"Cause us to fade out of existence?" Lumina finished for her, smirking. "The Laser Raise Risers prevent us from succumbing to paradoxes or temporal anomalies."
"In other words..." Amara clarified. "...whatever changes happened to the timeline won't affect us. When we go back, we'll seamlessly blend into whatever the new timeline is."
Luz and Amity exhaled in relief.
After everything they had fought for, the idea of their actions erasing Lumina and Amara from existence would have been devastating.
"Well…looks like you got your wish in the end, right?" Luz inquired after a moment.
"Hmm?" Lumina raised an eyebrow.
"You wanted people to know the truth about Oscura," Luz explained. "For them to stop seeing me as a monster."
"You're right." Lumina's expression softened. "But…this wasn't how I expected it to happen." She glanced upward, lost in thought. "I never imagined the Game Master would send you here. I had counted on people learning the truth in another way." Her gaze drifted toward the party. "But fate had other plans. If anything…this is better than I ever hoped for. Now, no one will ever speak your name with hatred again."
Before the moment could get too sentimental, Amara grinned and patted her much shorter girlfriend on the head.
Lumina groaned in annoyance.
"Alright, alright, enough of that," Amara declared. "Let's keep this party going!"
Hunter stood awkwardly at the edge of the party, adjusting the collar of his stiff suit as if that would somehow make him feel less out of place. When Willow had invited him, he hadn't hesitated. He had come immediately, putting on his best attire, determined to support her. But now, standing in the middle of Luz and Amity's wedding celebration, he found himself feeling…conflicted.
He had spent years hating Luz Noceda, despising everything she stood for, convinced she was Oscura, his enemy. And even though he knew the truth now, even though everything had been resolved, it still felt strange being here, celebrating her wedding.
To make matters even more confusing, there was the other thing.
The thing he still wasn't quite sure how to process.
Willow had feelings for him…and for Skara.
That revelation had come out of nowhere, leaving him stunned, but…he wasn't opposed to it. He had spent so much time focused on duty, on survival, on figuring out who he even was, he had never really stopped to think about what he wanted.
And now that it was happening, now that this possibility was suddenly real…
Well...
He wasn't quite sure what to do with himself.
As he stood there, fidgeting with his sleeves, Skara appeared at his side, sipping nonchalantly on a cup of Apple Blood.
She barely spared him a glance before speaking...
"Cap'n invite you?" she asked.
"She did," Hunter confirmed.
"Cool."
Skara took another sip, then finally turned to look at him.
"So?" she prodded. "How do you feel about all this? Think you can handle sharing Willow?"
Hunter nearly choked on air, his face immediately heating up. She didn't even hesitate. She just went straight for the question.
"I—um—" He swallowed, shifting awkwardly. "If it's what the Captain wants…"
His voice wavered slightly, and Skara narrowed her eyes at him.
"Okay, no," She frowned. "Don't start doubting yourself now. I get that you're a Grimwalker, but that doesn't mean you can't have a love life, or be with the person who loves you back."
Hunter's eyes widened slightly at her words. Not because he was unfamiliar with love. He had seen it before, in books, in others, and in the way people talked about it.
But it was different when it was about him.
"…Well, what about you?" he asked back, voice quieter. "Are you okay with sharing Willow with me?"
Skara studied him for a moment, eyes scanning him up and down, before she shrugged casually.
"Yeah."
Before Hunter could fully process that answer, Skara suddenly grabbed him by the tie, yanking him down to her level. And then she kissed him.
Hunter's entire brain shut down. His eyes went wide, his breath caught in his throat. He had not expected that.
Not in a million years.
Skara pulled back after a second, smirking at his completely stunned expression.
"Wha—wha—wha—?" Hunter's voice was a mess, his thoughts an even bigger one.
"Yeah, that happened," Skara said casually, arms crossed. "You're cute, Hunter, as much as I really didn't want to admit it back when we were both trying to get Willow to notice us." She tilted her head slightly, amusement dancing in her eyes. "So, no, I don't mind sharing her with you." She leaned in slightly, her smirk growing. "Because you're not just getting Willow as a girlfriend." Her fingers trailed along his still-twisted tie, giving it a playful tug. "You're getting me, too."
Hunter felt his entire face go red. His mouth opened and closed several times before he finally managed to stammer something out.
"I—I—I don't mind that…! I—I mean—um—you're… Y-you're cute too, Skara…"
"Damn right, I am," Skara grinned triumphantly. She leaned forward again, this time pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "And don't you forget it."
Hunter barely had time to process that before a chilling presence made itself known behind them.
"Well, well, well~ What have we got here?"
Hunter and Skara froze, their heads snapping toward the new arrival.
Standing behind them, arms crossed, was Willow Park. A smug, knowing smile played on her lips, but it was her glasses — the way they reflected the light just enough to obscure her eyes — that made her look downright sinister.
"I turn my back for one second and suddenly, my prospective girlfriend is kissing my prospective boyfriend." She tapped her chin thoughtfully, then chuckled. "Now, this is a good development."
Hunter swallowed hard.
Skara, to her credit, looked more amused than afraid. However, there was definitely some nervous energy behind it.
"Uh…Captain?" Hunter asked hesitantly. "What's with that look?"
"Y-Yeah," Skara added. "It's, uh…kinda scary."
'And kinda hot,' Skara thought but did not say out loud.
Willow stepped closer, cracking her knuckles in a way that sounded way too ominous.
"Oh, don't worry," she grinned wider. "I'm just thinking…we have a lot of lost time to make up for." Her arms snaked around both their waists, pulling them flush against her sides.
Hunter gulped audibly.
Skara let out a nervous chuckle.
"Dates, kisses, and other things," Willow purred. "Think you two can handle all that with your dear Captain?"
Hunter and Skara stiffened, their faces now matching shades of deep red.
"Y-Yes, ma'am!" they blurted in unison.
Willow laughed softly, then tilted their faces toward her and placed a quick, warm kiss on both their lips.
"Good answer." Pulling back, she gestured toward the party. "Now, let's go enjoy the night, shall we? I need to properly introduce you two as my partners."
With that, Willow strode forward, pulling them along, leaving Hunter and Skara still processing their new reality. And possibly questioning whether they were in over their heads.
But neither of them complained.
Drinks were shared, food was eaten, and some embarrassing moments happened between a few attendees. But at the heart of it all, everyone was having fun, celebrating the love of two people who had been through so much.
Everyone was called outside of the Owl House, where a camera was set up for a group photo. The Clawthorne-Whispers, Nocedas, their friends, Lumina and Amara, all gathered together and took the photo.
When Lumina stepped aside, she pulled out the photo she had that depicted her several times great-grandmother. The picture began to glitch out, and within seconds, it was replaced by the picture that was just taken a moment ago. It seemed the future was going to be changed for the better, and she had her great-aunt to thank for that.
They knew this couldn't last forever. Night had fallen over the Isles, and the time had come to return to the Desire Temple. Luz, Amity, Sasha, and Marcy stood in their DGP uniforms, joined by Masha, Marco, Molly, and Tsumuri. Across from them, their family and friends wore sombre expressions, knowing this moment was about to end.
"Do you really have to go?" Lil' Luz asked, eyes wide with sorrow.
"Sorry, kiddo…but yeah, we do." Luz crouched to meet her little sister's gaze.
"Honestly, it's a miracle you were here this long," Willow admitted. "Not that I'm complaining."
"At least this time, we get a proper goodbye."
Alador opened his arms, and Amity threw herself into them. Edric and Emira joined in, wrapping their younger sister in a tight family embrace as a few tears fell.
"We'll miss you, Mittens," Edric murmured.
"Take care of yourselves," Emira sniffled.
"We will. And I'll always be thinking of you guys," Amity promised.
Luz stepped forward, allowing her Owl House family to pull her into a group hug.
"When you win this DGP thing..." Eda teased. "...you're gonna need a good honeymoon to celebrate."
"Oh, trust me, I want one," Luz chuckled, though her voice wavered slightly.
"Do your best, Luz. We'll be rooting for you…" Raine promised, though it was a half-lie.
They all knew the truth.
The moment Luz and her friends left, everything would be reset — erased, as if it never happened.
Terra and Adrian would return.
The cult would reform.
Luz would once again be a pariah.
Viney and Skara would go back to fearing her.
Boscha would revert to her old ways.
Their wedding, their victory, their growth, all of it would be undone.
And worst of all?
Lil' Luz would forget she ever met her big sister.
Luz clenched her fists.
She wanted to beg Tsumuri to ask the Game Master for a way to preserve the Isles. But she knew it was pointless. She had pushed her luck too far. The only reason they even got this time together was because of a rare stroke of mercy from the DGP.
She wouldn't get another.
And King…
King would forget the truth of who he was. He would forget that his father had spoken to him.
A fresh wave of sorrow crashed over Luz as she turned to the two youngest members of her family. She knelt, placing her hands on King's shoulders.
"King…promise me you'll keep Lil' Luz safe, okay?"
The tiny Titan puffed up his chest.
"The Princess of Demons will never fall to anyone — not while her Titanic King of Demons stands beside her!"
Eda and Raine smirked, amused by his dramatic flair.
Luz turned to Lil' Luz, pulling a small stack of glyph-marked papers from her pocket.
"Here. These are for you."
Lil' Luz hesitantly took them.
"These…are the magic symbols you use?"
Luz nodded.
"Yep. This is how you speak to the Boiling Isles — to the Titan himself. It's the magic of the island."
She took one of the light glyph papers, tapping it gently. The paper crumbled into glowing energy, forming an orb of light in Luz's palm. Lil' Luz stared in awe, her small hands reaching for it.
Luz gently placed the floating orb between her sister's hands.
"Whenever you feel sad that I'm not here, draw this glyph," She smiled softly. "Do you remember what our name means?"
Lil' Luz sniffled.
"…Light."
Luz's eyes glistened.
"So long as there's light, I'll be with you, even if I'm a world away."
Luz turned to her old friends — the Hexsquad — and pulled them into a final embrace. She had missed them so much the first time. Now, she would lose them again. They would forget.
And Willow…
She had just found the strength to move on from feelings that had held her back for years. But once the reset happened, she'd be back to waiting for something that would never happen.
Leaving Skara and Hunter on the sidelines again.
Luz's heart ached.
"Willow…I—"
Willow gently cut her off, offering a small, sad smile.
"I know. You don't have to say it." She took a deep breath. "I found the strength to move on once…I can do it again."
Luz bit her lip, fighting back emotions.
Gus, standing beside them, placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Even if everything resets, I'm still going to write that story," he said with quiet determination. "I'll make sure everyone remembers the hero who saved the world. The hero you are."
Luz swallowed hard, blinking away tears.
"Thank you. Both of you. For being my friends."
They held each other a moment longer, clinging to what little time remained, wishing this wasn't the end.
Sasha, Marcy, Masha, Marco, and Molly stood off to the side, watching this farewell with increasing frustration.
"Tsumuri, please," Marcy pleaded. "Isn't there some way to convince the Game Master not to reset this world?"
"I'm afraid it's a rule of the DGP," Tsumuri sighed remorsefully. "No one can be allowed to remember our presence. The reset ensures history returns to its proper course…and revives those who were lost."
Sasha gritted her teeth.
Reviving lost lives.
It was the only reason she wasn't completely furious, because civilians who had died in battle would be brought back. But in this case? The only ones who had died were Terra and Adrian, and they had been monsters even before becoming Jyamato hybrids.
"This is so bogus," Masha scowled. "The trial, the battle, the wedding, their closure. All of it for nothing."
"If there was ever a time to bend the rules, this would be it," Marco muttered.
"This should be their happy ending," Molly teared up, wiping her eyes. "They deserve it."
A ping sounded from Tsumuri's tablet.
"It's time."
Luz and Amity sighed, walking back to their group.
They turned one last time — drinking in the faces of the people they loved.
And then a flash of light, pixelated energy enveloped them. With one final wave…they vanished.
"Do you think we can go visit Big Sis someday?" Lil' Luz's small voice wavered.
Eda felt her heart break. She wouldn't even remember her question in a few minutes.
She forced a smile.
"…Maybe, sweetie. One day…maybe."
A low rumble echoed throughout the Boiling Isles.
From the horizon, a wall of light surged toward them. An unstoppable wave, erasing everything in its path.
"What…is that?" Skara whispered, afraid.
Gus's hands tightened into fists.
"…The reset."
Viney furrowed her brow.
"Reset? Reset what?"
Emira sighed, her expression grim.
"When they leave, the DGP resets everything, like none of this ever happened. Our memories, everything that's happened, all of it will be wiped clean. We'll be put back exactly where we were before Luz, Amity, and their friends arrived."
A stunned silence settled over the group.
"Wait, what?!" Skara blurted, her voice rising in disbelief.
"You're saying we'll forget everything?! Even…" Hunter paused, not wanting to finish that sentence.
"That's not fair!" King shouted, fur bristling. "They can't do that!" He spun to Willow and Gus, his tail flicking in agitation. "Did you guys know about this?!"
Willow swallowed hard.
"…Yeah." Her shoulders slumped. "We fought in the DGP before. We lost, and when we did, they erased our memories."
Gus nodded, his usual enthusiasm absent.
"We only got them back because Sasha had us touch her ID Core."
King's ears flattened, eyes wide with realisation.
"So, if they reset everything…we'll forget Luz?"
Neither Willow nor Gus had an answer. Because they already knew the truth.
Lil' Luz's small hands clenched around her glyph papers.
"No…No! I don't wanna forget Big Sis!"
Raine and Eda got down on one knee on either side of Lil' Luz, and tried to comfort her.
"It'll be okay, sweetie. It's not going to hurt you, your big sis promised it won't," Raine consoled.
"Besides, even before you met her, you knew she was a good person," Eda pointed out.
"This is completely uncalled for! To undo all the good she has done, and all the hard work she did to redeem herself," Gwendolyn complained.
Dell remained silent, keeping a steely gaze on the incoming wall of light and cursing it under his breath.
Legal Eagle said nothing, closing his eyes in sadness.
Lil' Luz furrowed her brow, and turned away from her parents as she and King walked towards the cliff. The wall was getting closer, generating a wind that blew across the Boiling Isles. Lil' Luz, still holding the orb of light in her hands, closed her eyes.
"Big Sis said that this magic comes from the island, from the Titan. Please, Mr. Titan, I don't wanna forget my Big Sis," Lil' Luz begged.
King growled, slamming his claw into the dirt.
"Dad…" he whispered. "If you can hear me…please don't let this happen."
The moment King made his request, the entire island began to rumble. In the distance, the eyes of the Titan's skull shined with a bright light that caught the attention of every citizen of the Boiling Isles near and far. Within seconds, hundreds of thousands of glyph symbols appeared in the air, one after the other. The glyphs started to glow brighter as a beam of light shot from one, and then to another. Again and again, the beams shot out, connecting each of the multiple glyphs that represented one of the four elemental forces of the Isles.
At the cliffside, where the Owl House stood, where everyone was gathered, a larger glyph appeared. This one was familiar to them, it was the very first glyph Luz discovered, the very same one that gave her the chance to obtain her dreams before it was all cruelly taken away: the light glyph. All the glyphs across the Isles, their lights connected straight to the light glyph, fueling it, empowering it.
Once the lattice had been completed, connecting all the glyphs, they funnelled their power straight into the great light glyph. Finally, one last light was absorbed as Lil' Luz gave up her orb of light, allowing it to rise to join the rest.
Within mere seconds, a bright golden light erupted from the symbol as all the other glyphs were absorbed into it. What appeared next was a colossal being made of golden, shimmering light. It continued to rise higher and higher, causing those near it to crane their necks upwards just to see its full height. The construct had a bestial appearance with two large, bat-like wings, curved horns, a snout, and large fangs and tusks. A tail swished back and forth as its claws flexed. When the construct opened its eyes, the light glyph appeared within them.
None could believe what they were seeing, but it was right there, standing before them. This had to be him.
"Mr. Titan…?" Lil' Luz's voice was barely more than a whisper, filled with awe and hesitation.
"…Dad?!" King's exclamation carried more urgency, his tiny claws digging into the dirt as he gazed up at the colossal being of light before them.
The giant construct slowly turned its body around, and gazed down at the little ones below. Its eyes lingered on the two youngest among the witches: Lil' Luz and King. It was hard to tell, considering its entire body was formed of light and magic, but the two siblings could feel it. The Titan was smiling at them.
The titanic being turned its body back around, facing the oncoming wave of light. The Titan took two steps forward, causing the waters of the Boiling Sea to rush up and down, sending waves crashing against the cliffs.
The gigantic being glared at the incoming wave, took a deep breath, flared its mighty wings, and released its signature, all-powerful roar...
"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
A blinding beam of light erupted from the Titan construct's mouth, surging forward like a divine decree. The moment it struck the wall of resetting energy, the oppressive wave shuddered. Cracks of blue light spread across its surface, growing wider and wider until the entire wall fractured apart.
The wall of energy dispersed, breaking down into fragments of blue, pixelated light that floated harmlessly into the sky before fading from existence.
For a brief, awe-struck moment, the entire Boiling Isles seemed to hold its breath.
Then the Titan construct tilted its massive head toward the heavens and let out a roar that shook the Boiling Isles.
In an instant, its enormous form ascended, spiralling toward the sky.
The four cardinal glyphs (light, fire, ice and plant) flared to life, encircling its body in a radiant glow. And then with one final, thunderous burst of energy, the construct exploded into golden light, sending waves of Titan magic rippling through the Demon Realm.
The glow bathed the Isles in warmth and power. And for the first time in centuries, it felt as if the Titan himself had embraced his people once more.
The glyphs faded, the sky settled, and the world stood still. Whatever the wave erased returned to normal, like it was untouched.
Eda blinked, her voice uncertain. "…What just happened?"
A small, excited voice broke the stillness.
"Mr. Titan stopped the bad wave! Mr. Titan stopped the bad wave!" Lil' Luz was bouncing in place, pointing at the now calm skies, her eyes shining with wonder and joy.
King, however, had fallen to his knees. His tiny claws pressed against the earth, his eyes welling with tears. His voice trembled.
"Thanks, Dad."
For the first time since learning the truth, King felt his father's presence — not just as the land they lived on, but as something real, something alive.
And he had protected them.
A slow realization crept across Gus's face.
"Wait…if the Titan stopped the reset, then that means…"
Willow's eyes widened before a smile broke across her face.
"We still remember! We won't forget!"
Without hesitation, she spun around, grabbed Skara and Hunter, and lifted them clean off the ground, spinning them in pure, overwhelming joy. Skara let out a startled squeak, her face burning red from ear to ear. Hunter also let out a yelp. Despite knowing how strong his captain was, it was still a surprise when she lifted him so effortlessly. But neither cared nor resisted because, at this moment, they were just as ecstatic.
The Blight twins exchanged a glance before exhaling in unison. "Thank the Titan."
Alador crossed his arms, nodding solemnly. "A miracle, truly."
But amid the celebration, Lil' Luz stood quietly, looking down at the sheets of paper her big sister had given her. Each one bore a glyph, the same glyphs that had protected everything her big sister fought for from being erased.
Her fingers traced the symbols, and in that moment, she knew.
She knew exactly what she wanted to be.
She whirled around, her heart pounding with certainty as she rushed toward Eda and Raine.
"Momma! Poppa!
King, sensing her excitement, scampered after her.
Eda knelt down, brushing the hair from Lil' Luz's face.
"What's up, witchlet?"
Lil' Luz grinned and held up the glyph papers, her fingers gripping them like a sacred treasure.
"I know what I wanna be when I grow up!"
Eda and Raine exchanged a look before turning back to their daughter, soft smiles on their faces.
"You do?"
Lil' Luz nodded fiercely, her eyes burning with determination.
"I wanna be a hero! Like Big Sis! I wanna protect everyone, just like she did! Just like the Titan did!"
King puffed out his chest, stepping beside her.
"Same here!" he declared. "We'll be heroes! Defending the Boiling Isles from evildoers together!"
"Yeah!"
Some parents might have brushed this off as a childish dream, something their daughter would grow out of. But Eda and Raine knew better. They had seen the fire in Luz's eyes before. And now, they saw it again in Lil' Luz. She had inherited her big sister's heroic spirit, her unshakable will to protect and fight for others.
She wasn't just saying this.
She meant it.
And no one — not even fate itself — would stop her.
"I'll see you again someday, Big Sis." The words were whispered under Lil' Luz's breath, carried away by the gentle evening breeze.
Somewhere, far beyond sight, the Titan listened.
And smiled.
[RESET: ERROR!]
"You can't be serious!"
[RESET: ERROR!]
[RESET: ERROR!]
[RESET: ERROR!]
The Game Master gritted his teeth, activating the reset for the fourth time.
His eyes narrowed as he pulled up a new holo-screen, focusing on the Demon Realm. What he found was…unexpected: a barrier had formed around the entire realm, seamlessly woven into its spatial makeup.
"Interesting."
This wasn't DGP technology. This wasn't anything from their system. And yet, it had completely halted the reset's influence.
The Game Master sighed, leaning back in his chair as he studied the anomaly.
"The reset derives its power from the Goddess herself. It seems these Titans truly do possess power capable of rivalling celestial forces…even those from other universes."
He tapped a few controls, shutting down the failed reset sequence. There was no point in trying again.
"What's that saying? Beating a dead horse?" He shrugged. "No matter. They can't leave their realm, so there's no risk of humans in other worlds learning about us."
His gaze flickered back to the game's current status. And that was when his smirk faded.
Because now?
The remaining Riders were allied.
"No matter who wins…they all win. That is…a problem."
A game with no conflict wasn't a game at all.
{Isn't that why you have me?}
A holo-screen opened to his left, marked 'VOICE ONLY'. The speaker's voice was distorted, unreadable, but unmistakably pleased. The Game Master's smirk returned.
"Indeed," he chuckled. "That last game was a fiasco by all accounts. The ratings were insane, but still…the rest of this match will be dull if there's no conflict between the Riders."
{No need to worry,} the voice hissed with amusement. {That little side trip to the Boiling Isles was fun. And it came with a benefit I didn't expect.}
There was a pause.
{I'll give you and your audience a show… Just make sure you hold up your end of the deal, Mr. Game Master.}
The Game Master's smile widened.
"I am a man of my word."
{By the way, whose bright idea was it to send us there in the first place?}
"Unfortunately…that's confidential."
{Figures.} A low chuckle came from the other end. {But I guess I owe them for it. I'll be in touch.}
The holo-screen blinked off, leaving the Game Master alone in the dim glow of his control room. His fingers drummed against the console. His chuckle deepened into something sinister.
"The fun is just beginning."
On his desk was a written proposal, the cover page marked with the title:
"DESIRE ROYALE"
"Shower's free for you, Luz," Amity said as she stepped out, wrapping a towel around herself just as Luz entered their shared room.
Luz grinned teasingly, leaning against the doorframe.
"Aww, Amity, you should've waited." Her smirk widened. "We could've shared."
Amity arched a brow, smirking right back.
"I doubt we'd get much actual cleaning done together."
Luz pouted playfully, then her eyes gleamed with something softer, something tender.
"So, how does it feel being the new Mrs. Noceda?"
Amity looped her arms around Luz's neck, drawing her close.
"Pretty good." A warm smile tugged at her lips. "Can you believe it? We're really married."
Luz sighed happily, pressing their foreheads together.
"I mean, yeah, in the Boiling Isles," she murmured. "We still need to have another one back home, so Mom and Vee can be there." A teasing glint sparked in her gaze. "But until then…how about we enjoy our wedding night?"
Amity shivered slightly at the husky tone in Luz's voice. She wanted that. More than anything. But first, she needed to know something.
"Luz…what was it like?"
Luz tilted her head, puzzled.
"What was what like?"
Amity hesitated for a second, then softly asked, "What was it like, becoming Luzura?"
Luz's playful expression faded into something thoughtful. She was silent for a moment, searching for the right words. Finally, she smiled, but it was different this time.
"It was like…I finally found what I was missing." Her fingers tightened slightly against Amity's waist. "I always fought against Oscura, resisting her influence. But not this time. When we became Luzura…I finally felt whole." Her voice wavered, just slightly. "And for the first time in a long time…I'm proud to call myself a Kamen Rider."
Amity's heart clenched at the raw emotion in Luz's voice. She reached up, fingers brushing Luz's cheek, wiping away the tears that had slipped free. Their eyes locked. A quiet, unspoken promise passed between them at that moment.
Amity's hand traced the line of Luz's jaw, finally resting against her soft lips.
But in Luz's gaze, there was something more.
Something deeper.
Something urgent.
In a single, fluid motion, Luz slid her hands to Amity's waist, hooking her fingers into the towel, and tugged it away.
The fabric fell to the floor, forgotten.
Amity's breath hitched as Luz guided her backwards, gently pressing her onto the mattress. She felt Luz press her lips against her neck.
Soft. Slow. Lingering.
Each kiss was a promise, every touch a whisper of devotion. For just an instant, in the dim light of their room, a flash of violet gleamed in Luz's eyes.
And then, it was gone. Vanishing into the quiet darkness around them. Leaving only them, together as one.
Lumina rested her head in Amara's lap, scrolling through holo-screens that displayed the current timeline's history. The timeline had corrected itself for the better. Luz was no longer a monster, but a saviour. There was even a statue dedicated to Luz, Amity, and the other Riders who had fought to save the Demon Realm from destruction.
According to historical records, Lumina's ancestors, Lil' Luz, and King had become the Boiling Isles' protectors. Threats had come and gone, but together, they had faced them all. Eventually, Lil' Luz and Blight Industries teamed up to create a Rider Belt, allowing her to become the Boiling Isles' own Kamen Rider. She had taken up the name of her big sister:
Kamen Rider Luzura.
From then on, the first daughter of the Clawthorne family was always named after a word related to 'light'. And always, without fail, they became protectors. Even Emira's descendants had taken up the mantle, working alongside Lil' Luz's descendants to defend the Isles.
The Titan's language had been spread across the Boiling Isles, and while some witches had stronger affinities for using glyph magic, the ability seemed particularly strong within the Clawthorne bloodline.
When the truth of King's lineage was revealed, it had shaken the Boiling Isles to its core. For a brief time, a cult had formed, worshipping the last living Titan. It had gotten out of hand, fast. But in response, a counter-organization had been established, a covert force led by Bria and her elite guard. Former members of the Children of Oscura had banded together, seeking atonement for their past mistakes. They protected the Boiling Isles from the shadows, eliminating threats before they could take root. Kamen Rider Luzura defended the Boiling Isles in the light of day, and they safeguarded it from the darkness of the night.
With time, King led expeditions beyond the Isles, searching for other Titan islands, hoping to find surviving kin or uncover the truth about his people.
The journey was not without peril, however. They had encountered a group calling themselves the Titan Trappers, who had threatened to wage war on the Boiling Isles. But before the war could begin, Kamen Rider Luzura and Blight Industries had crushed the opposition.
Decades passed, bringing them to the present.
"Apparently, I go by 'Kamen Rider Luminara' in this timeline," Lumina smirked as she read through the records.
"And according to this, I'm your partner, 'Kamen Rider Sabel'." Amara glanced down at her, amused.
"Guess your parents aren't the 'assholes' they were in the previous timeline," Lumina remarked, grinning up at her.
"Let's just see what happens when we go back." Amara dismissed the holo-screen, using her free hand to stroke her girlfriend's hair. "I know you're happy. The world you wanted has finally happened."
Lumina's smile softened.
"I am happy." She exhaled, looking up at the holo-screens reflecting the world she had dreamed of. "It's more than I could have hoped for, to be honest."
But Amara noticed something.
"…So, why do you look antsy?"
Lumina sighed and slowly sat up, her expression thoughtful.
"I asked the Game Master why the last game was in the Demon Realm."
"And?" Amara prompted.
"He wouldn't say."
Amara's eyes narrowed.
"With how he acts around Luz, I wouldn't be surprised if he did it just to mess with her."
Lumina shook her head.
"He can be petty, but this feels like more than that." Her gaze darkened. "Normally, the games are held in the same universe where the Riders were recruited. But this time…some Riders were taken from the Demon Realm."
Amara's brow furrowed.
"…And then this game happened in the Demon Realm."
"Exactly," Lumina nodded. "Outside the designated world the current season was supposed to take place in."
Amara leaned forward.
"You think it was on purpose? That someone set her up? But who? And why?"
Lumina's golden eyes gleamed as she posed the real question.
"No…" She tapped a control, expanding the holo-screen into a web of data. "The real question is: who has enough influence to make the Game Master change the venue of the game?"
"He only listens to management," Amara pointed out.
"And even they follow the rule of keeping the games contained to one universe." The weight of Lumina's words settled between them. "Whoever did this…has influence and power above even the DGP's highest ranks."
A cold chill ran down Amara's spine.
"What could they want?"
Lumina's fingers tightened into a fist.
"That's what worries me." She stared at the web of timelines in front of her. A game within a game. A hidden hand pulling the strings. "Whoever they are…they didn't do this on a whim. They wanted something from Luz."
And Lumina was going to find out what.
In a VIP viewing room, the Gleeful twins watched as the Desire Grand Prix event reached its conclusion. Mabel sat with her arms crossed, her scowl deepening.
"Awww, what a happy ending," she mock-gushed before her face twisted in disgust.
"Ugh, I hate it."
Beside her, Mason Gleeful exhaled, shaking his head.
"A shame, really." His eyes remained locked on the screen, fingers tapping idly on the armrest. "Even after we convinced them to send her back to the Boiling Isles…Oscura still slipped through our fingers."
Mabel let out a dramatic huff, throwing herself back against the couch.
"It was supposed to be easy!" Her lips curled in frustration. "If Amity Blight had died, then Oscura would have awakened, and we'd have gained ourselves one very powerful recruit." She pouted. "We waited so long for this chance. And what do we get? Nothing."
Mason chuckled, his tone gentle, but amused.
"No use crying over spilled milk, dear sister." He reached for a cup of tea, taking a slow sip. Then, his smile sharpened. "The Multiverse is vast." His fingers traced the rim of the cup, eyes glimmering with mischief. "I'd wager that in some far-flung corner, there's an Oscura just waiting for us to come along and convince her to join our cause."
Mabel's pout transformed into a smirk.
"Now, that is an idea I like." She stretched, dusting off her skirt before clapping her hands once. "Oh, Billy!"
A familiar triangular figure materialised, hovering meekly in front of her.
"Y-Yes, Mistress?" William Cipher's voice cracked, his posture subdued.
Mabel barely glanced at him as she brushed imaginary dust from her gloves.
"Take us home." She flipped her hair over her shoulder, stepping forward. "We're done here." Her grin widened. "And we've got a show to put on."
William sighed, but with a wave of his hand, an Aurora Curtain rippled into existence before them. The twins stepped onto the glowing threshold together, Mason offering a small bow as they disappeared into the swirling fractals of light.
The curtain collapsed behind them, leaving the viewing room empty. A moment later, William vanished.
Their game in this universe was over. But elsewhere, the stage was only just being set.
With a sharp snap, Woz slammed his book shut, the echo reverberating through the dimly lit chamber. Slowly, he turned to face his audience, an enigmatic smile playing on his lips.
"And so, we end this tale of trauma and redemption."
His voice carried the weight of prophecy, each word laced with careful intrigue.
"The Luz Noceda of the World of Oscura has finally faced her demons…and emerged stronger for it."
His fingers traced the gilded edges of his book, as if lingering on the tale itself.
"However…it remains to be seen whether this newfound strength will serve as a blessing—"
A beat.
A knowing pause.
"—or a detriment."
He let the words settle, his gaze flickering with something unreadable.
Then, with a sweeping motion, he gestured toward the looming events ahead.
"Now, only four players remain in the Desire Grand Prix."
His smile curved, shadowed by amusement.
"They may stand as allies for now…"
A quiet chuckle.
"But it would seem that the Mole has their own agenda."
His expression shifted, just slightly. A rare, genuine softness overtook his usual theatrics.
"On a more positive note…"
He flipped his book open just a fraction, revealing a faintly glowing illustration: a wedding held beneath the Boiling Isles' eternal sky.
"Luz Noceda and Amity Blight have been wed."
A sigh of melodramatic admiration.
"Such a beautiful sight indeed."
He gently closed the book once more, the finality of the moment hanging in the air. Yet something in his eyes hinted that the story was far from over.
Dr. Exposition: And that's the final chapter of the movie, and after this, we'll return to the main fic. Trust me, it will be good. Now, I'd like to thank Michael Ravencroft for his help. Not only did he allow me to use the World of Oscura for the series, but he also helped me write this story. Additionally, I'd like to thank Kamen Rider Goji and Busterleader92 for their help in editing and proofreading.
