Marcel was in the living room having a drink. It had been about two months since his sister returned to his life. Things were going well. They were getting to know each other. He'd even convinced Sadie to move in with him. He offered her friends rooms in their home as well, which they accepted.

Marcel felt like a giant hole in his heart had finally closed. He would never fully recover from losing her had done to him. None of them would ever truly heal from that. But maybe they could all finally find some peace, or at least they could when the Mikaelson's finally returned to New Orleans. He never thought he would look forward to that day, but he did. When Sadie was taken, the family broke. Maybe now that she was back, they could put it back together. For the first time in over a century, that was what he wanted.

Of course, the situation wasn't without its problems. Sadie had terrible nightmares. He heard them on a nightly basis. She often screamed for Klaus to save her or to make someone named Stefan stop. He knew that was the man who helped kidnap her. He'd asked Sadie about what she wanted him to stop doing a couple of times, but she claimed that she couldn't remember the dreams. Marcel didn't believe her, but he didn't want to push her either. She would tell him when she was comfortable with it.

Full moons also posed a problem. Sadie was a werewolf. She had to transition monthly. Most werewolves transformed down in the Bayou, where they'd been shunned to, but Marcel couldn't let that happen. None of them were friend to him, and he wouldn't' risk them hurting his sister to get to him, so he cleared the house out once a month and Sadie would transform in the basement chained up. He didn't like it, but it was best option he had right now. It was pretty much what she'd been doing prior to coming to New Orleans anyway.

Marcel was pulled from his thoughts when he heard someone enter the room. He turned to see Thierry. "Hey. What's up? Did you find Klaus?"

"No. The dude definitely knows how to stay off the radar. However, I did find a Mikaelson. In fact, I found three," Thierry said.

"That's great. Where are they?" Marcel asked. He would've preferred Klaus, but the others could help locate Klaus, especially Elijah. If anyone could find Klaus, it was Elijah."

"Sort of," Thierry finished.

Before Marcel could question his friend further, a few of his guys came in wheeling three coffins. It didn't take him long to figure out what had happened. Thierry managed to get his hands on Klaus' daggered siblings. There were three coffins, so Klaus must have daggered Rebekah at some point. To Marcel's knowledge, Klaus had never daggered Elijah, probably because Elijah could be a vindictive son of a bitch when you crossed him. He'd make Klaus regret it. "You stole his coffins. He's going to be pissed.

"Technically, I only stole three. There were four, but the other one wouldn't open, so I left it alone. I couldn't find any trace of Klaus after he left Virginia, so instead, I looked into what he did what he was there. There was a storage unit nearby Mystic Falls. That's where I found these," Thierry explained.

"Just be grateful we're going this for his daughter, otherwise, he'd probably kill you on the spot for this," Marcel said before opening one of the coffins. He then smiled down at Rebekah.

Just then, Elena walked in with Bonnie and Caroline. She looked around at the three coffins that had been added to the living room before looking at her brother. "Marcel, is there something you forgot to tell me, like that you picked up a very creepy hobby."

Marcel chuckled. "Actually, this is your dad's creepy hobby."

"Huh. Somehow that makes more sense," Elena said before walking over to her brother. She saw the same woman that had been in her flashes. Her aunt.

"This is your Aunt Rebekah. When Klaus gets pissed at his siblings, he does this," Marcel said.

Elena nodded. "This is how I triggered my curse. I daggered Elijah." She felt extremely guilty about that. She hadn't felt any regret when it first happened. She'd apologized to Elijah when she removed the dagger, but she hadn't meant it. She supposed it was because she was compelled to be okay with it. Once that compulsion wore off, the guilt was extreme. She knew it wasn't really her fault, but she still felt like it was.

"You daggered Elijah?!" Marcel asked in disbelief. Even Klaus didn't do that, or if he ever did, he didn't do it often.

"I was compelled to. How is that for irony. One of the people who are responsible for what happened to me inadvertently undid everything he worked for," Elena said bitterly before going over to another coffin. She opened it and saw a young man that looked only a couple of years older than her. She was immediately hit with a sense of Déjà vu.

"Elena, are you okay?" Caroline asked as she and Bonnie walked over to her.

Elena didn't answer. Instead, she was pulled into another memory.

She was holding onto her father's hand as she was led over to a man with an inviting smile.

"Sadie, this is your Uncle Kol. Say hello, little love," Klaus said.

"Hi," she said shyly.

Kol bent down a little to her level. "Hello, darling. It's good to meet you. I'm going to your favorite uncle."

She giggled. "Uncle Eli is my favorite."

Kol stared at her for a minute before laughing loudly. "Oh, I'm never going to let Elijah live that name down. Anyway, he's only your favorite because you don't know what a fun uncle is yet. I'll teach you."

Elena laughed as she pulled out of the memory. "I remember meeting him. He told me he'd be my favorite uncle."

"Yeah, that's Kol. He loved you right away," Marcel said. It was a far cry from how Kol felt when he met him. Kol pretty much hated him, even when he was a child.

Elena went over to the final coffin and opened it. This one looked very old. They were all old, she knew, but this man appeared to be wearing extremely old clothing, like from many centuries ago. Elena had no recollection of him. "I don't remember this guy."

"You wouldn't. You never met him. Finn has been daggered a long time. I've never even met him," Marcel told her.

"You're not planning on waking all of these vampires up, are you?" Bonnie asked Marcel. These were three very old vampires that would probably be pissed and blood thirsty. She didn't think it was a good idea to wake them all up.

"No, not all of them. I was thinking about just Rebekah," Marcel said.

"Why?" Elena asked as she shut Finn's coffin.

"Because she's the one you'd recognize the most. She spent the most time with you. She can help you the most," Marcel said.

"No, I mean why not all of them? They're all my family, and you said I needed them," Elena reminded her brother. It was funny. She'd been reluctant for Marcel to find her father or her aunts and uncles, but now that they were there, she wanted to know them.

"I was mostly talking about Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah," Marcel said.

"The other two are our family too," Elena pointed out.

"Elena, I'm not sure it's a good idea to have three blood-thirsty, unpredictable originals on the loose here. I know you want to know them, but maybe one at a time is for the best," Bonnie said.

"Yeah, I'm not sure I trust a psychopath like Kol in my city, or an unknown variable like Finn, at least not without Klaus or Elijah here to reign them in if necessary," Marcel said. Also, he was already testing Klaus ire by taking his coffins and undaggering Rebekah. He would be extremely pissed if Marcel undaggered the others as well.

"Okay," Elena relented. She could understand that point. She wanted to meet her uncles, but she could wait for Klaus for that. "Rebekah then."

Marcel smiled before removing the dagger from Rebekah's chest. "It could be anywhere from minutes to hours. All we can do now is wait."

Klaus was driving through Mystic Falls with his brother in the passenger seat. After hearing every witch he'd come across tell him that there was no other option to break his curse other than the blood of a human doppelganger, he'd given up and decided to switch strategies. He resigned himself to the fact that he'd have to wait for the next doppelganger, but if that was his only option, he was going to make sure nothing went wrong this time. That meant keeping Elena Gilbert close.

"This is pointless, Niklaus. Elena can't do anything for you," Elijah said. He'd hoped to talk his brother out of returning to Mystic Falls. Elena had been through enough already. However, Niklaus couldn't be swayed.

"Oh, that's where you're wrong. I can make sure what happened with the last two doppelgangers doesn't happen again. I will not allow a third failure. The start of that is keeping the Gilbert girl close, so I know she won't end up dead before she can continue her line," Klaus explained.

"At least wait until after the full moon. It's coming in less than a week. Elena will need to transform," Elijah said. He hoped that could by him a few days to at least prepare Elena.

"I'm aware of when the full moon is, Elijah. It continuously mocks me. I will figure that out when it happens. For now, I'm going to get the girl," Klaus said as he pulled onto her street. Once he found her house, he pulled into the driveway. "Coming in, brother?"

"Yes," Elijah said before getting out of the car. He certainly wasn't going to leave Elena to deal with his brother alone.

The two brothers approached the house. Klaus didn't even get a chance to knock before the door was opened by a teenaged boy. "Ah, you must be the brother. Do you know who I am?"

Jeremy nodded. Jenna had heard Klaus and Elijah outside. She'd instructed him to invite Klaus in. Elijah had an invite, but Klaus didn't.

"Excellent. That will save us a step. I need to speak to your sister. I suggest you invite me in. Now, I'm sure you're thinking about defiance, but let me assure you…"

"Come in, Klaus," Jeremy interrupted.

Klaus raised an eyebrow in surprise. He was actually torn on whether or not to be impressed with the boy's lack of stupidity or put out that he didn't get to finish threatening him. "Well, you are a smart one. I'll admit I wasn't expecting that."

Elijah frowned a little as the two of them stepped inside. He wasn't expecting it either. He figured there'd be at least a little resistance from Jeremy Gilbert.

"Now, where is your sister?" Klaus demanded to know.

"Not here," Jenna replied as she entered the room. She was carrying a framed photograph in her hands.

"Hello, Jenna. I hope you're doing well," Elijah said. It wasn't easy to cope with vampirism in the beginning.

"Yes, no thanks to your brother," Jenna said as she glowered at Klaus.

Klaus smirked. "You should be grateful. If I'd had it my way, you'd be dead. Now, kindly tell me where I can find your niece."

Jenna continued to glare at him. "Let's get something straight. I can't stand you."

Klaus laughed in response.

"You tried to murder me and Elena. I think Elena would be better off never knowing you, but that's not my choice. It's not a choice anybody ever had a right to make. What those two people did, I can only characterize as evil. No one deserves that, not even you, Klaus," Jenna said. She meant what she said, she hated this man, but he'd lost his child, and no one deserved that.

"What are you talking about, Jenna?" Elijah asked confused.

"A lot happened after you left. I figured it was likely that you might come back though, wanting something else from a doppelganger. I've thought a lot about what I'd say to you if that happened. Then I decided you wouldn't believe a word I said, and that I might end up dead on principle, however, it's hard to refute a picture. I'm told that doppelgangers look identical to each other, from childhood to adult," she said.

"That's correct," Elijah said slowly, still not understanding what she was trying to say.

"This is a picture of my niece with her parents when she was around seven," Jenna said before holding it out towards Klaus. The back of the frame was facing frontwards, so he couldn't see the picture.

Klaus made no move to take the offered object. "Is that supposed to cause me to have some sort of sympathy and leave the poor girl alone?" he asked in a mocking tone.

"Just take it," Jenna said in exasperation.

Klaus sighed before taking the picture. He turned it around and then promptly dropped it in shock when he saw the actual photo. He was looking at a child that was identical to his little girl.
