Literally Falling into Enemy's Hands

After the big conversation with each other, Jaune and wives and friends have gone to sleep and Yang has taken the next watch as Ruby and Zwei sleeps together with the others, but the little doggy suddenly wakes up causing Ruby to wake up.

"Huh? Zwei, it's late. Go back to bed." Ruby yawned.

But Zwei just ran off outside the temporary safehouse of the Hunters group which got Ruby worry and goes out the building to search for her dog, but the search was short-live after already finding him peeing at some part of the ruin much to the red-hooded girl's relief.

"Zwei, this is a wasteland! You literally could have done that anywhere!" Ruby pointed out.

"Ruby, is everything okay?" Cinder asked as she walks up to her.

"Yeah, Zwei just needed to pee." Ruby nodded as Zwei barks.

"What was that?" A man voice asked.

Ruby and Cinder were surprise to hear a voice that is the others back at the building and knowing there should be other people this far out from Vale, which got Cinder thinking about the White Fang and Roman.

"Quick, hide!" Cinder whispered before they hide behind a large rock.

"What was what?" Another man voice asked.

Cinder, Ruby, and even Zwei peek over the rock seeing two White Fang guard outside with guns int their hands as one of them is looking around.

"I thought I heard a Beowolf or something." White Fang guard one said.

"Hmph. Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps." White Fang guard 2 commented and the two walk away unknowing of Ruby and Cinder watching them.

Cinder suggests following them and they quietly sneak behind the White Fang guards without being seen until they reach a ruin building with a large pair of metal doors.

"Did they go in yet? One bark means yes." Ruby asked Zwei and he bark once.

"So, this is where the second hidden entrance is held at. Glad this little recon mission hasn't been a waste of time." Cinder said.

"Oh no, I can't call the others." Ruby showed her Scroll that there isn't any signal bar.

"That's to be expected, there aren't any powers and communication towers to make Scroll calls, which is also perfect so no one would notice any activate out here." Cinder explained.

"Then let's back to the others." Ruby suggested.

Ruby, Cinder, and Zwei run down the street but suddenly the concrete beneath their feet started to sink going down meaning the old stone street must be giving and Ruby quickly grab then throwing him out of the way. Cinder thought about getting out with Ruby, but an idea suddenly pops into her head and decided to let the hole take both girls in as the street gave in, leaving Zwei alone and worry for Ruby and the girls.

Cinder and Ruby are falling deep down into a large carven which the half-Fall Maiden instantly recognize then wrap her right arm around Ruby's waist before unleashing her fire magic in her hand and legs to fly them down on ground level.

"You okay, Ruby?" Cinder asked.

"Yeah, but man, that hole came out of nowhere." Ruby surprised.

"It was probably due to how old and worn out this old city has become, but this was also a great shortcut getting to the lair." Cinder pointed at the building in the underground caverns.

"Whoa, an underground city!" Ruby amazed.

"Now, let see if we can find Roman and that train." Cinder said.

"Freeze!" One White Fang guard shouted as he and another pointed their guns at them from behind.

"Where did they come from?" The second White Fang guard asked.

"Would you believe us if I say we came from that hole up there?" Cinder pointed her finger up to that hole.

Then she quickly turns around and launch a fireball knocking one White Fang guard down before he could react, Ruby wanted to knock out the other guard with her scythe only to realize that she doesn't have it with her anymore and figured it must have fallen out from her belt when they fell. So, she tried going for punching the White Fang guard in the face except the punch didn't have any effect and he punch her back, Cinder flaming cartwheel the guard down and groan in pain before going unconscious.

"You really don't have hand-to-hand combat experience, do you?" Cinder asked offering a hand to Ruby.

"Hehe, I'm more comfortable fighting with Crescent Rose and just using my hands, but I'm starting to see why Yang kept trying to convince me otherwise." Ruby admitted her weakness as she took Cinder's hand to get up.

"So, what do we do about those two?" Ruby asked.

"Well, we can tie them up together and take their uniform to disguise ourselves as guards to sneak close to Roman and the train." Cinder planned as she took the mask from one White Fang guard.

"That's a good plan, but they're both taller than me so I don't think the clothes would fit me." Ruby pointed out.

"Hmm, then I guess you'll have to pretend to be captured and I take you to Roman." Cinder suggested.

"Huh?" Ruby shocked.

(Back with the Hunter Group)

Yang yawns as her hour of night watch is over and ready to sleep in her sleeping bag again.

"Hey Weiss, it's your..." Yang paused her sentence when she notices something off here.

Ruby is not in her sleeping bag and sleeping.

"Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?" Yang asked worry.

"What?" Oobleck gasped as he immediately woke up.

"Is Mister Sun up in the sky yet?" Nora asked sleepy.

"It appears Ruby isn't the only one missing." Ren pointed at Cinder's empty sleeping bag.

"What the… Where did Cinder go?" Jaune worried.

"Calm down, I'm sure Cinder isn't in serious danger." Pyrrha hoped she's right.

Then Zwei came in barking at the others and up on Yang's legs.

"Zwei? Do you know where Ruby and Cinder are?" Yang asked.

"What's going on?" Blake asked as she just woken up and saw the worry look on Yang's face.

"I get the feeling those two may have found trouble, and that trouble is the White Fang." Jaune believed as he stands up.

"Grab your weapons! Your leader and Maiden may be in trouble." Oobleck said.

"Looks like we're working overtime for this." Weiss sighed as she got up with her rapier on hand.

"(I hope you're okay, Cinder.)" Jaune thought concerned.

(Back with Cinder and Ruby)

Cinder, now disguised as a White Fang guard, is walking through the campsite of the White Fang where they are preparing themselves to carry out the plan while she has Ruby's hands tied behind her as she is acting as the captured for Cinder to infiltrate the camp.

"Hey, be careful! What are you trying to do, blow us to the moon?" One White Fang shouted at another.

"S-Sorry sir!" He apologized in fear.

"Excuse me, where can I find Roman? I found this intruder sneaking around." Cinder acted with a deeper tone of her voice asked one White Fang soldier.

"He's over there inside the railcar, but be careful, he's in a bad mood right now." The White Fang guard warned.

"You'll never take me alive!" Ruby shouted before Cinder smacked her on the head.

"Quiet you!" Cinder said and dragged the short girl to the train.

"Sorry about that." Cinder apologized whispering to Ruby.

"That's okay, it's all part of the plan though I would be most grateful if you could hold back the punch, please." Ruby said.

Ruby and Cinder arrive at the train and at the railcar where Roman is, hopefully he won't see through Cinder's disguise as she needs to get inside the train to defuse the booms.

"Sir, I caught an intruder who somehow got into our hideout." Cinder called out.

"Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day." Roman asked angry.

"It's a little girl with a red hood." Cinder answered holding up Ruby's arm.

That got the mini-boss's attention leaning himself out of the door and once he spotted Ruby with his own eyes, anger began to boil again from within him.

"That would be bad." Roman glared at Ruby making her gulp.

(With the Hunters Group)

Zwei led the group to where he last saw Cinder and Ruby before they fell into the hole and where Ruby's scythe is left behind as well.

"Ruby's scythe!" Yang shocked.

"I thought she never goes anywhere without it?" Nora puzzled.

"She doesn't, which means something bad happened." Blake worried.

"Do you think she and Cinder fell?" Weiss asked.

"Fell?" Oobleck puzzled.

"Down that hole." Pyrrha pointed at the hole.

"Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE!" Oobleck shouted of realization.

"Profe-I mean, Doctor Oobleck, what are you freaking out about?" Ren asked.

"How could I be so stupid?!" Oobleck cursed himself for not realizing this sooner.

"Dr. Oobleck, what's wrong?" Yang asked.

"Okay, so remember how Cinder explained that the new hideout would be underground under the old city? Well, we just found it!" Oobleck pointed at the hole.

"For real? Then what are we waiting for?" Nora asked, bringing out her hammer.

"Wait, before we go charging in. You should know the which will be short. Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!" Oobleck explained which his students were able to understand all that.

"You mean they've been working in caves?" Blake asked.

"No, no, Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time, thanks to an aggressive perimeter defense, and unique transportation; the city developed an elaborate subway system to carry citizens safely from the new territory into the main Kingdom! Sadly, without the many natural barriers Vale had to protect its borders, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! As the end drew near, the citizens of the territory made one last attempt at survival: They took up shelter beneath the city! In massive caves that they had cleared out for the subway. And they had cut themselves off from the surface!" Oobleck explained further.

"Meaning it became a safe haven for them until they can figure out how deal with the Grimm." Pyrrha figured out.

"Yes, yes, it worked out for a while… Until... an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb." Oobleck finished the little history lecture about the old, ruined city.

"Definitely make sense to build a secret hideout all the way out here." Ren said.

"And I think Cinder must have saw this hole as a way in for her and Ruby to get in, but the question how are we getting down there?" Jaune asked scratching the back of his head.

"Maybe we can find that other entrance, it has to be around here somewhere they spotted any White Fang soldiers scouting around here." Blake pointed out.

"We better find it now; those could use our help right now." Oobleck transformed his thermos into its weapon form.

"Okay, we're find that secret entrance." Jaune determined to help Ruby and his second wife.

(With Ruby and Cinder)

Ruby was just thrown across the floor by Roman who is laughing of joy while Cinder helplessly watches as she couldn't move since she didn't want to be seen sneaking into the train without blowing her cover.

"Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours." Roman mocked.

"At least I don't hurt my lungs with smoking." Ruby countered mock before using her Semblance to blitz up in the air for an axe-kick to the head.

However, Roman simply move to the side to easily avoid the kick grabbing her by head and knee-kick her in the stomach before throwing her again on the ground.

"Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this." Roman said to one White Fang soldier who gave him a thumb up.

Ruby look to Cinder with her eyes saying to get ready to make a break for the train, then the red hooded girl uses her Semblance again to run around Roman making him spin a little before double kick him on the back causing him to trip. Ruby use her Semblance again to sprint several feet ahead of Roman as he got up and glaring at the running little girl, all the while Cinder quickly made her move toward the train.

Roman stops Ruby by shooting the hook from his cane to hook onto her ankle causing her to trip face-first to the ground.

"I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve! Let me make this clear: We're not through here yet." Roman smirked, then he notices the disguised Cinder getting closer to the train.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Roman asked making Cinder flinched as she was so close into getting on the train.

"Oh, well, I was just making sure… the bombs and Dusts inside are loaded up and ready to go." Cinder acted, hoping Roman doesn't suspect anything.

"Hmm, is that right…" Roman narrowed his eyes at this White Fang Solider, finding her eyes to be oddly familiar which made Cinder worry.

But before Roman could question her any further, a sudden explosion erupted from a distance but very close to the camp/hideout making Roman look up wondering what was that just now.

"Oh, what the... Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? Kinda in the middle of something." Roman ordered, then another explosion came and this one sounded closer than the first one.

"WHAT is going on here?" Roman annoyed.

"You're doom." Cinder dropped the act and brought out her swords for a cross slash at Roman sending him flying.

Roman quickly look up seeing the familiar glowing amber eyes which he put two and two together that Cinder is the White Fang.

"Hey, that one is Cinder that traitor! Get her!" Roman alerted.

Five White Fang soldiers quickly arrives and starts firing bullets at Cinder who deflect them with her swords before rolling out of the way and fire three arrows, once they pierce near their feet the arrows glow with the circles appearing as they exploded knocking away the soldiers.

This gave Ruby the chance to escape to where the explosion is coming from hoping its her friends and Oobleck, she rose sprint to Roman landing on his shoulder and jump off almost making him trip as she runs, and Cinder flaming flew past him which caused him to spin around.

"Somebody kill THEM!" Roman screamed in rage.

Some White Fang soldiers started shooting their bullets at the two as they did their best dodging them and hope to meet up with the others.

Roman got up glaring at Cinder and Ruby making their escape which makes him angry when a plan doesn't go smoothly, leaving with no other choice, he boarded the train.

"Attach this cart and spread the word: We're starting the train." Roman ordered one White Fang soldier.

"But we're not finished." The White Fang soldier said, then suddenly got pinned to the wall of the cart.

"Do it or you're finished!" Roman threatened.

Cinder and Ruby eventually saw their team as they have indeed entered the hideout and causing some trouble from within, Yang saw Ruby quickly getting ahead of the others and hugs her younger sister.

"You're okay!" Yang smiled as Ruby hugs her back.

"Yeah, sorry to worry you guys." Ruby apologized.

"The important thing is you're okay." Weiss said with a small smile.

"Don't you ever scare me like that ever again." Jaune hugged Cinder tightly.

"I don't plan on making a habit of it." Cinder chuckled and they kissed each other on the lips.

"Were you able to foil their plan?" Blake asked.

"Unfortunately, no, they're about to start the train now along with the bombs to get the Grimm to follow them." Cinder informed.

"Then we better get on board, now!" Jaune said as everyone nods, and they charged towards the train as it's about to leave.

KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!

The secret hideout has been found though now the train is on the move to carry out the plan to bring Grimm into the city, but with Cinder, Jaune, and the others getting on board as they might be able to stop it.
