Friendly Spare from the Dusty Old Reaper
Winter's robotic soldiers were about to approach the man that has just destroyed one of their own, but Winter halted their advancement fully aware that his man is stronger than he looks and would end up destroying them as well.
"Excuse me! Do you have any idea who you are talking to!?" Weiss asked angrily as she got closer to the man in a few inches, but his hand got on her face.
"Sssshhh. Not you." The man shushed the younger girl Schnee and pushed her away.
"You." The man said to Winter with a glare.
A black crow is seen sitting on one of the tall light poles and it flew off flying above a serious moment between the new man that has arrive on Beacon and Winter.
"Saw that gaudy ship of yours in town. I guess you're here, too." The man said sarcastically.
"I'm standing right before you." Winter stated.
"So, it would seem." The man said after squirting his eyes for a second or two at the white hair young woman.
"You realize you just destroyed Atlas Military property." Winter said, looking down at the headed Atlas robot.
"Oh, oh I'm sorry. See, I mistook this for some sort of... sentient garbage." The man said sarcastically and then change into a mocking tone.
"I don't have time for your immature games, Qrow." Winter said, revealing that she does know the man and his man.
"Wait, you two know each other?" Weiss asked in surprise.
"Geez, you Atlas Specialists think you're so special, don't you?" The man asked sarcastically.
Qrow is an older man with graying black, spiky hair, faded red eyes, and slight stubble along his jawline. Along with a red, tattered cloak, he wears a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants and black dress shoes. He also wears a ring on his right index finger, two other rings on his right ring finger and a necklace with a crooked cross-shaped pendant. Qrow's bangs are down, and his hair is made to look like it is composed entirely of feathers.
"It's in the title." Winter stated.
"Sure, sure, you keep telling yourself about that, but that still leaves the question if you can really handle being special." Qrow chuckled.
"But I have notice that you so-called Specialists are going soft, maybe it's a sign that you fuckers need a long overdue vacation." Qrow mocked while looking at his fingernails.
"I'm not sure what you think you're implying, but I've heard enough." Winter glared, not wanting to hear the sound from this man anymore.
"Oh my, it sounds like the big sister is going to melt. Maybe you can ask Ozpin for some advice about where to find a good vacation spot since your ass isn't looking so hot." Qrow smirked.
"Sir, do you have any idea who you're talking to?" Weiss asked, getting angry at this guy.
"Weiss, it's time for you to go." Winter advised while gently shoving her little sister to the side.
"Listen to big sister, Weiss. She'll protect you. Just like Atlas is going to protect all of us, huh?" Qrow said, his tone and smirk showing that he is making fun of Atlas right now.
This isn't setting well with Winter as she could not stand how this man keeps on mocking the pride of Atlas, she knows that this man has connection to Ozpin but right now, she just wants to teach him a lesson.
"If you won't hold your tongue, then I will gladly remove it for you!" Winter drew her sword and pointed it at the ridiculous old Huntsman.
"Alright then..." Qrow pushed his hair back making himself look closer and looks grin too. "Come take it." He smirked.

Qrow and Winter stare at each other for a moment until the latter blitzes right in front of the old drunken man and thrust her sword for the face, but Qrow easily dodges each thrust for his face and took a "bow" to let the Atlas woman strike her sword onto his.
Qrow move around and push Winter back to bring out his sword, the two get into a standstill though he tabs his sword causing her to move back a little and the two started swinging their swords clashing each other.
Qrow spins around and slashes his sword at Winter who does a few backflips to avoid the blades and started clashing their swords at each other barely moving from that one single spot while they move their swords fast and try to strike each other hard.
Ruby just arrives having heard the commotion nearby and wanted to see what's going on as she also found Weiss and Emerald.
"What's going on?" Ruby asked her teammate.
"I'm just as confused here." Emerald shrugged.
"Some crazy guy just started attacking my sister!" Weiss answered.
"Oh no! Who would do such a th-That is my uncle!" Ruby shouted in awe to see that the man fighting Winter is her uncle.
"What?" Weiss was shocked to hear some old guy who just challenged her big sister turns out to be a relative of Ruby and likely Yang as well.
"Kick her butt, Uncle Qrow!" Ruby shouted.
"That guy is seriously your uncle?" Emerald asked, wanting to make sure this is the same guy she, Cinder, and their former teammate Mercury ran into when they fought Amber.
"Teach him respect, Winter!" Weiss cheered too, hoping her big sister wins.
"Great, now you're getting into this too." Emerald sighed.
Winter and Qrow continue their fight clashing their swords and moving around a bit then one strike pushes her several feet back and he goes after her, Winter dodge a strike and hits him on the face with the bottom of the hilt only for Qrow to smirk at her. He raises his sword for a massive strike and Winter jumps away using a Glyph under her feet letting him make a big crater.
Qrow charges after the soldier girl who lands near a pole and she dodges his strike that slices the lamppost in two, she flips over him and flips again to dodge his sword and lands on the flat end for a backflip kick and jumps for a higher ground.
Qrow runs as Winter latches onto a pillar and runs on the archway dodging his shots as he got on the archway too, then one shot she is consumed in a white cloud, he looks there for a second and Winter flies out heading for Qrow and transform her single sword into two as Qrow prepare himself to take her attack.
They collided and the two are pushed back into the ground making another crater upon impact.
Qrow and Winter dash around and clash their swords until Winter pushes him far away that he stops himself with his sword stab on the ground.
Winter twirls one sword and stabs it to the ground using the very advance power of the Glyph Semblance summoning little flocks of Nevermores sending at Qrow. He defends himself against those little white things and tries slashing a few of them, Winter smirks thinking she has won only for Qrow to send a flying slash attack to make her jump back and stop the summoning.
Winter got angry while bring out a big white glyph behind her for another attempt to strike him down, and Qrow decided to get serious as he is about to transform his sword into another form, but he saw something coming and decided to "Let" Winter come at him as he put his sword away.
This left Winter confused for a bit, but when she saw Qrow taunting her with a grin and a finger gesture, she took it without realizing it was a little trap.
Winter charges at Qrow fast with her sword pointed towards him for the final blow.

"I believe that is enough." Salem said.
A dark magic circle appears and black tentacles came out latching onto Winter's legs the moment she came over them, stopping her approach and another one appeared behind Qrow to give him a hard spank on the rear making him flinch in pain.
"I believe that is enough playtime for you two." Salem said as she and Ironwood approached to the scene. Penny is also there behind Ironwood and a few soldiers.
"Specialist Schnee." Ironwood walked up to her.
"General Ironwood, sir!" Winter addressed her superior.
"What in the world do you think you're doing?" Ironwood asked as he approached her with Penny as well.
"He started the altercation, sir!" Winter stated.
"That's actually not true. She attacked first." Qrow pointed out with a sly grin.
"But you were still the one who provoked her to attack first, did you not?" Salem asked with one eyebrow raised.
Qrow chuckles nervously as he tries to come up with an answer to that question, but nothing came out and that only proves that Salem was right.
"And you. What are you doing here?" Ironwood asked Qrow.
"I could be asking you the same thing." Qrow talked back.
"Now, now, everyone. There is a sanctioned fight happening just around the corner at the Colosseum, that I can assure you has better seats... and popcorn." Ozpin said to the crowd as he and Glynda came in to intervene.
"Break it up, everyone! We will take care of this mess." Glynda ordered. The crowd soon scatter to go back to what they were doing before.
"I believe we should pick this up back in the office." Salem snapped her fingers to allow Winter freedom of her legs.
"Let's go." Ironwood ordered with Winter to follow without any arguments, but she still felt a little angry at Qrow.
Penny follows Ironwood as well, but not before turning around to wave at Ruby with a smile and the red hood girl smiles back with her own wave.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby screamed with excitement as she latches onto his right arm and he easily lifts her up.
"Hi. It's so good to see you! Did you miss me? Did you miss me!?" Ruby asked with a joyful looks in her eyes, glad to see her uncle again.
"Nope." Qrow answered jokingly and petted her head.
"Qrow!" Ozpin called out to Qrow, getting his attention.
"A word, please." Ozpin said while Glynda is repairing the courtyard with her Semblance.
"I think I'm in trouble." Qrow said discreetly to his youngest niece.
"You did kinda tear up our courtyard." Ruby pointed out.
"Yeah, I did." Qrow winked and did a fist-bump with Ruby.
"Catch ya later, kid." Qrow said as he walks away to the others for their little meeting in the headmaster's office.
"And suddenly, your recklessness makes sense." Weiss said, crossing her arms and glaring at Yang and Ruby.
"You're just mad because he whooped butt." Ruby grinned with a light pat on Weiss's shoulder.
"That was a draw, at best!" Weiss proclaimed.
(Beacon Headmaster Office)
Ironwood and Winter are seen in the office waiting for the others to arrive, Salem is here as well having herself a cup of tea while waiting by the desk and the general is crossing his arms being a little impatient.
The elevator open showing Ozpin, Glynda, and Qrow coming into the office.
"What the fuck were you thinking!?" Winter asked in a disapproval tone of him.
"If you were one of my men, I would have you shot!" Ironwood said.
"If I was one of your men, I'd shoot myself." Qrow talked back as he took out his flask.
"While I wouldn't condone his behavior, retaliating like you did certainly didn't help the situation." Glynda scolded Winter about that right.
"He was drunk!" Winter said.
"He's always drunk!" Glynda pointed out.
That's when everyone turns their heads looking directly at Qrow who is drinking his liquid from his flask, he notices everyone is looking at him and smirks awkwardly.
"Qrow, why are you here?" Ozpin asked.
"You've been out of contact for weeks! You can't just go dark like that in the field!" Ironwood scolded his acquaintance.
"I'm not one of your special operatives, Jimmy!" Qrow glared, he always hated how James can be too serious most of the time.
"General." Winter corrected the drunken fool.
"Whatever." Qrow rolled his eyes.
"Now, now, I'm sure Qrow has his reason for having that fight happen in the first place. A test of strength, if you will." Salem stated.
"I hope you don't mind the cursing, but I'm still shitting out that the fact our longtime enemy that we've been fighting for centuries has now suddenly turn into our powerful ally. Not only that, but she even got herself hook up with two of the first-year students and one of her own lackies." Qrow shared his shock opinion.
"When I heard about what happened at that school, I was worried that my little sister ended up in that sort of situation." Winter confessed with a worried expression.
"Well, there's no need to worry about that." Cinder said as she entered the office.
"Now, why don't we talk about what's gonna be going on from here on out?" Cinder asked.
"You mean about how some of the Grimms weren't following Salem's command?" Ozpin guessed.
"That's right, it was very odd that Salem wasn't able to control half the Grimm that breached Vale didn't listen to her. It was almost like they either somehow resisted her for now siding with the humans or… perhaps there is another force controlling the Grimms now." Cinder theorized for the worse.
"The former friends." Qrow guessed on the mark.
"That would be the only explanation, and no doubt that Dr. Watts is most likely behind this since he has been studying Grimms and seen me create a few of my own in person as well." Salem figured.
"I still can't believe that Watts has been alive all this time, choosing to walk the path of destruction with his brilliant when he could've done so much good." Ironwood sighed, feeling that he could've done something.
"Watts always claimed that you never acknowledged his genius, something about choosing that "fat idiot" over him." Salem mentioned.
"I read about Watts in the files, there were a few mentions of his methods being… questionable." Winter said.
"If Watts is behind this, then I fear that he may be using his science to control the magic you showed him to control these Grimms, and something worse right behind it." Glynda feared.
"Things have become harder than it already was. I mean, shit… I literally revealed myself to the world." Salem cursed herself.
"We all know what revealing yourself would be like. The reactions the people are giving off, no doubt mostly feeling negative that there is literally a Grimm Queen, and she's married to two of my students. It was bond to get like this." Ozpin pointed out the risk that came with the revealing.
"Yes, not to mention the Maidens are real which means we all need to do our best to make sure nothing shit happens to them." Cinder stated.
"Like what you did to Amber." Qrow glared at Cinder.
"Qrow!" Glynda yelled a little.
"No, he is correct. I was the one who caused the natural power of the Maidens to go out of balance, all because I wanted to the power to never let myself become a slave to anyone ever again. To never let myself become weak…" Cinder looked at the fire from her hand.
"You can hate me all you want, and I am fine with that. But know that I am on your side, and I want this world to be peaceful for my husband and fellow wives." Cinder promised as she clutches her fiery hand and showed her fiery determined eyes.
Qrow can definitely see it for himself, those aren't the eyes of the bitch who killed Amber for power to destroy the world, those are the eyes of someone who has finally seen the light and really trying to make amends for her sins. All for the sake of one guy.
"Alright, I guess I can work with ya. But if you try to pull anything then I will strike you down." Qrow said.
"That is fair." Cinder nodded.
"But even so, I still think we should keep our guard up. Even though Roman has been arrested, the others will still try to do something in this festival like how I originally planned." Cinder suggested.
"We'll keep an eye out." Ironwood said.
"I already have several spies Grimms around the festival ground and the school, if anything is out of place, they'll alert me." Salem looked out the window. She promises that she won't let anything happen to this place, not on her watch.

Qrow has made his appearance and had that fight with Winter just to see a little something for himself, and everyone is gonna be on high alert because something else may be coming for them that could bring this year's festival into ruins if they don't find what could cause it soon.
