CHAPTER 03: LUMBERJILL'S LETTERS

17 September 2012

11:18 AM

Dipper and Mabel are playing volleyball outside while Caryn is sitting outside, watching them play. They aren't at school because there had been many bankruptcy threats attacking Eggbert Elementary, so they had to shut the elementary school down. Filbrick Pines recently got a new job at a place called McDaffy's. This job was recommended by Caryn because she had enough of Filbrick's gambling addiction, so he was requested this job and taken out of his land of lackluster.

Dipper later went back inside, while Mabel was playing at their own playground.

The last thing Dipper and Mabel did at Eggbert Elementary was a national school event called the "Eggbert Pass-around Day" where they had to write cards to their friends. Of course, Dipper didn't write anything because he mostly didn't like anyone in his school. Most of them were either influencers, bullies, or really egotistical men who only threw spit balls. Dipper's school might've been closed down for a second reason now.

Dipper layed down on his bed and stared at the ceiling, like any other person would do when they're sad about something. Dipper lamented about Gravity Falls and his great uncle Ford and Grunkle Stan. Dipper then writes in his diary again.

September 17, 2012

Here I am again, being sad over nothing. I don't know how long I can stay here. Our school got shut down for "bankruptcy issues". Now I don't know how my average day is supposed to go. I can't travel back to Oregon, I can't talk to anyone else. These thoughts are just a constant replay in my mind. Sooner enough, I will get over it... Someday...

-Dipper Pines

He closes his journal and puts it on his wooden bookshelf. He then takes his tape recorder, and records his thoughts in it.

DIPPER (camcorder): Today is the 17th of September, 2012. Nothing... I just feel... unusual. I don't know why I'm just... sad. I can't see my friends again. Wendy is back with her family with her "Scottish frontiersmen", and I don't know what Stan and Great Uncle Ford are doing. I think they're back from the sea... End log.

The next day, 18 September 2012

Mabel is already up and happy, while Dipper is still in his room, doodling some cool monster creations.

Suddenly, a door knocks.

Caryn opens the door to see a mailman with letters for Dipper Pines. Caryn sees this and calls Dipper over.

Dipper grabs the box of letters and goes to his room. He opens the box with one of his sharp pencils and opens the first letter of the stack.

"To: Dipper P.

From: Wendy C.

Hey man! I feel how lonely it must be for you in your city. Just here to give you some comfort. I hope you're doing your best!

Yours truly, Wendy Corduroy."

Dipper feels a sense of hope. He feels happy again. He sets the rest of the box of letters under his bed.

10:18 PM

Dipper lays down as it feels like it is getting time to sleep. He turns off his lamp, gets himself comfortable, and sleeps.

Suddenly, the Shadowess appears in his head again.

THE SHADOWESS: Oh dear child... sweet, little lamb. Your blissfulness won't be locked in a cage any much longer than you are yourself in realness. You shall not be hiding any longer than you have since Summer. Your wrath won't be in full darkness... you will arise in the light sooner.

WE WILL ARISE IN YOUR LIFE SOON, LITTLE LAMB...
