The one left behind

A week before the demise of Zeus and Hera Familia, a woman gave birth to twins. The mother, dying due to illness and grief left her two babies in the care of deities. While Zeus took the boy with white hair, Hera could not bring herself to do the same. Abandoned in the slums of Orario, the boy, holding onto his one secret, rises up from the bottom and is forced to face his past.

3. Review of name for MC

Hey, so I'm posting this as after reading the past reviews I've decided on something.

The name of my main character, Perseus/Percy has been, rightly so, pointed out to be a bit weird. I will admit that I stupidly forgot about Asfi's Alias being Perseus. So I've come to the conclusion that I want your help to decide this.

I can think of 3 options and how they might play out (With no spoilers)

- I see that calling him Heracles might work but I agree with Runelt99 in thinking it would be weird. Now the name Alcides sounds good but I don't like giving him the Alias Heracles as It just won't fit the MC in how I want to portray him. Also, his actual name is going to be hidden so if his real name is Alcides, then his shorten name would be Alex.

- The second option that I thought of in the shower would be calling him Zagreus, like from the game Hades. Now, as we've seen, he doesn't need to be under Hades to be called this as Bell is clearly named after Bellerophon, who was the son of Poseidon, not Zeus or Hera, so that's why I think it could work. The name would also fit with the much grittier side of the MC as he is meant to be the opposite of Bell while still retaining his heroic dream, which is where modelling of Heracles would be a bit weird. His shortened name would be Zach, most likely.

- The third option is to stick with Perseus/Percy and just have the encounters with Asfi be fun and weird, which is something I have now got planned if that is what you want and just say she got her name from the same person Perseus was named after.

With his Alias in all this, I have already planned it out but I wouldn't mind making it his main name. Odysseus!

I can just give him a normal name for that and make up a new Alias as I like the name as it also fits well with how I want to portray his character.

This is where I leave it up to you. I'm only two chapters in so It's easy to change it now, which is why I'm doing it now.

So please leave a review on what you think I should change it too/which one you prefer as this is your story just as much as mine. The name shouldn't be something that means too much but I couldn't help but agree with those who left the reviews critiquing it. This is why we have reviews.

I don't really know how to make polls so you will just have to leave a review saying what you want or if you have any other ideas. If there aren't any by the time I make the next chapter I'll either stick with the name or go with Odysseus.

Also for the review that asked why Penia. Because she is part of the canon but has little character, meaning I can do what I want with her. I had thought of Athena, especially if I go with calling him Odysseus so that is a possibility but trust me, Penia just works for this story as she is going to be a big side character, just as big as Hestia is in the main story (minus the love interest because augh). If you are put off by her just because she is just ugly and old then maybe go quickly examine yourself as not everything needs to revolve around cute attractive young girls.

Also, now that I've got two stories going, most likely I'll be posting a chapter every two weeks to a month. Especially since my Uni year is now over and I'm going back to work so we'll have to see.
