A.N: For those who don't know, I am currently holding votes on pat-reon for my next story. Now, this doesn't mean that I am going to be uploading a new story soon. I likely will not be starting for the vast majority of the year. The votes are simply to decide which story I will do next after I've finished up one or more of my current ones. I'm constantly having writer's block on Emerald Dragon and the other stories will still take a while before they're finished. Though I do intend to put the vast majority of my focus into Bonded and possibly finish that before the first half of the year, no guarantees. The votes will simply determine which story I do next and will give me time to start planning ideas for it. Anyway, to the test chapter.
I'm going to admit entirely that this is the story I want to write the most. I'm currently reading 'Dial' by Dessert chocolate, I'm thirty-five chapters in and it's one of my favourite stories so far. I'd really like to do this idea because I feel like there is so much multi-choice in this story, for example if he's trying to fight Thanos then he could go for fourarms or diamondhead or he could be really creative with spider-monkey. Not to mention I like writing for Rath. The rest of the test chapters for the poll options will be released soon.
Plot: A man finds himself accidentally wiped out by a higher power and is given the chance to be reborn, though he does manage to get one little thing extra to take with him. How will a man with the Omnitrix fair in a world full of superheros? MCU mostly but mixed with other marvel properties like comics and games. Pairing will be voted on but options include she-hulk, Jean Grey, X-23, Emma Frost, Spider-Gwen, Gamora and more. (Calling him Ben for the purpose of this test chapter, will come up with a different name if the story is chosen)
Scene 1:
"Are you ready?" Steve asked.
"Well, there are worse ways to spend an evening," Ben replied in an amused voice.
Right now he and several other Shield agents were standing inside one of the fastest flying jets in the world as it reached close to their target. A cargo ship that held several very important occupants including several high-up Shield agents. Ben couldn't help but shake his head at that, it wasn't so long ago that Shield was trying to track him down and imprison him. Guess helping stop a massive alien invasion was all it took for them to relax a bit.
"You remember the plan?" Steve Rogers AKA Captain America asked as he put on his helmet.
"We did go over it about a hundred times," Ben said dryly before pressing the button on his Omnitrix and turning it until he got the alien he wanted.
"That's not a 'yes'," Steve said back, equally as dry before pressing a button to open the ramp of the jet, not something that should usually be done when flying over a vast ocean. Ben and Steve walked to the edge before sharing a glance with each other. "Race you there?" Steve smirked at him before jumping off the jet.
"Was he wearing a parachute?" One of the agents asked dumbly.
"No, he wasn't," Ben grinned before jumping off, for a few moments he did nothing as he descended down to the ocean at high speeds, air whipping past his body. He noticed that Steve had landed and had already swum three times as far as a regular human could. Ben pushed down on the Omnitrix and a bright green light enveloped him just before he dove headfirst into the ocean and swam forwards. It didn't take him long to catch up to Steve who was swimming underwater and holding his breath. Steve blinked hard when he saw just what exactly was swimming next to him.
Ben no longer looked like Ben. His body was now a pale grey and covered in scales, he had webbed fingers with yellow claws. He sported gills going down his neck and torso. On his arms and atop his neck were short swamp-green fins. The stem of the angler sprouting from his head appeared the same colour as his webbing. His circular eyes appeared vapid and he entirely lacked lips to hide away his massive teeth, the bottom half of his body looked like a giant fishtail.
"Catch you later, Steve," Ben, now Ripjaws, said before swimming past him at lightning speed and heading towards the ship. Ripjaws swam under it before stopping at the opposite side, knowing that Steve would attack from the other side and the two would take out goons in a pincer movement. Ripjaws burst out of the air and onto the ship where he quickly grabbed two surprised goons by their faces and tossed them straight into two others, knocking all four out.
"What the hell?!" One man blurted out, aiming his machine gun at Ripjaws but he didn't manage to fire before Ripjaws closed the distance and bit off the front half of the gun. "Oh dear me," The man said weakly as he stared at the grinning Ripjaw.
Scene 2:
"It's a bit hard to get used to, isn't it?" Ben said as he walked alongside Logan AKA Wolverine in the X-mansion. "You're hundreds of year olds, these kids in here range from building to country destroyers and I can turn into aliens. What a weird world we live in."
"The weirdest part is that there's no goddamn beer in this entire house," Logan grumbled, staring at the soda in his hand like it had mortally offended him.
"It's a school," Ben pointed out in an amused tone.
"Your point?" Logan snorted before stopping in his tracks, he sniffed the air and leaned his head to the side. "Shit!" He cursed, tossing the bottle to the side.
"What is it?"
"Sabertooth is here!" Logan growled. "And he's not alone, he's brought a good dozen soldiers with him somehow. They're in the house!" He said before reaching to the nearest wall and sounding the alarm.
"I'll handle the soldiers, you get the kids out," Ben said, raising his watch.
"Sabertooth..."
"Kids first, you can get Sabertooth after," Ben said before pressing the watch down and turning into Wildmutt. Wildmutt growled before using his senses to track down the soldiers. He ran on all four to the nearest group, it didn't take long before he was able to turn a corner and find a small squad of soldiers in a hallway. He charged at them just as one of them kicked a door open, Wildmutt leapt into the air and grabbed onto a chandelier before landing amongst the groups. With a few swipes of his powerful paws and all the men had been thrown unconscious.
"Ben?! Is that you?!" Jean said as she walked out of her room.
"Oh! He's so cute like this!" Kitty said as she walked out and began petting Wildmutt, who couldn't stop himself from leaning into her touch as she ran her hands on his neck.
"Cute is an interesting choice of words," Rouge said as she walked out of the room. "So, let me guess our sleepover is being interrupted by another house invasion?" She asked just before Wildmutt tapped the watch and turned back into Ben.
"Something like that," Ben said. "I need you three to stay in your rooms and-"
"Hands up freak!" A voice interrupted as another soldier rounded the corner and aimed his gun. "If you even reach for that watch then I'll shoot,"
"Then I won't reach for it," Ben said calmly. "Omnitrix, code 03." He said quickly and suddenly he was transformed into Diamondhead, leaving him very grateful that Graymatter's meddling with the watch had paid off. Maybe later he could try some of the other upgrades he had made.
Scene 3:
"How are we doing?" Iron Man asked as he landed next to the rest of the avengers. The Chitauri battle had gone on for an hour already and the group knew they wouldn't be able to keep up damage control for long. Thor looked around with a scowl, Hulk itched to jump into action again while Widow and Hawkeye joined Tony in waiting patiently for for Cap to give orders.
"It could be worse," Cap sighed as he looked around. "Right now we need to prioritise keeping the battle contained. Hawkeye, I want you on that building. Call out patterns and stays and let us know anything you think could help. Thor, I'm going to have you on portal duty, try to keep as many as you can from coming in. Stark, you're on the perimeter, don't let anything get out more than three blocks away. And...where's Omni?" He asked, using Ben's code name.
"The watch dude?" Hawkeye asked, having not met him yet.
"Yeah, where is-"
"SOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLARISSSSSSSS!" A very angry voice yelled out.
"Found him," Iron Man said, looking up. The rest of the Avengers followed his direction and blinked when they saw just what he was looking at. Loki, with various bruises on his face and screaming wildly, was upside down and plummeting towards the ground. His arms were held against his body and his shoulders were in between a pair of muscular legs. The person holding him in a piledriver position was none other than an orange and white bipedal tiger with one black claw coming out of each wrist and no tail.
"Oh, Rath, I like Rath," Thor smiled pleasantly.
"PIIIILLLLEEEEDRRRRRIVVVVVVEERRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Rath yelled as he Loki got closer to the ground. It was then that they managed to finally hear something besides a scream coming from Loki.
"WHAT THE FU..." Loki was cut off as he landed head-first into the street, sending up a massive dust cloud. The avengers carefully got closer once the smoke started dying down and found Rath climbing up to his feet while Loki's upper body was planted inside the street, leaving just his legs visible.
"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, LOKI OF ASGARD!" Rath yelled at the half-visible Loki. "YOU DON'T COME INTO RATH'S WORLD AND START WRECKING SHIT WITHOUT EXPECTING A SERIOUS BUTT-KICKING!" Rath said before kicking Loki and sending him further into the ground. "Take that!" Rath said victoriously.
"Enough," Steve said, interrupting Rath. "Loki might be out but our work is not done. We need to..." He stopped when Rath kicked Loki again. "...did you hear what I said?!"
"RATH'S HEARING IS EXCELLENT!" Rath told him, pointing a finger at him. "Rath's going to stop beating up Loki, but that's only because I want to." He said, crossing his arms.
"Thank you," Steve said patiently. "Now, we still need to work on stopping the rest of the army. My previous orders are still the same, but now we need to..."
"One last time!" Rath yelled out suddenly, slamming a car onto Loki's unconscious form, much to the amusement of the other avengers.
"Rath," Steve said, he was also amused but also knew that he had to try and take charge. "Let's stop before you do something you regret."
"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, CAPTAIN STEVE ROGERS OF AMERICA," Rath snapped at him. "RATH REGRETS NOTHING! REGRET ACTUALLY REGRETS RATH!"

Story overview: I'm proposing an idea where an OC/SI (not based off me because I'm not intelligent or skilled in any remote way) will find himself in a marvel universe where he slowly unlocks various aliens such as heatblast and Waybig and so on. He'll use the watch differently from canon Ben as one of my ideas has him using his aliens to create a hoverboard, make a high-tech utility belt and to invent a cure for cancer which will have a neat little storyline where the government tries to stop him from releasing it. Not pure MCU as other marvel properties will be mixed in. Pairing will be voted on.
