Surprisingly enough. Tails flies up with her Tails and hits the robot first. Before Sonic or anyone else can think about what to do or get there to hit it. She doesn't do that much damage. The robot then proceeds to grab her in retaliation from the attack. Tails can't get free, she struggles for a bit. Seeing this, Jet and Storm proceed to attack. Followed by Sonic, Wave and Knuckles. Who all proceed to attack the robot. Which obviously is a lot more damage than only Tails. So much that the robot lets go of Tails in a defensive manner and then Tails proceeds to run away and to Jet and Storm. The robot turns to Team Sonic and begins to start attacking them. Of course considering that they're the main target.

The trio counter easily, Sonic spin dashes onto the robot a couple times and Wave and Knuckles also do their own damage. The robot predictably and like always breaks apart in a dramatic sort of fashion. Like all of Eggman's other inventions. Immediately Sonic looks for a way out. Busting open a door which he and everyone else in the stadium pile out of. Sonic doesn't have time to manage crowd control. So he hops on his board and speeds off. Behind him are Wave and Knuckles. But soon enough a new challenger approaches, if you can call him that, Jet. Who appears next to Sonic on his board.

"Care for another race Hedgehog?" Jet says cockily

"I could go for one more" Sonic smiles

"You two are wasting time, let's move it!" Tails interrupts and yells at the two before speeding off to Eggman's direction. Jet and Sonic listen and follow the fox, catching up to Tails soon enough on the way to Eggman.

Eventually the Six arrive at Eggman's base of operations which is surprisingly empty. Tails attempts to look around but Jet and Sonic bust in, guns blazing. Only to get caught by another Eggman robot. The two struggle but can't get free no matter how hard they try to.

"Oh ho ho ho! What will you two do without your leaders?" Eggman questions the remaining four.

"KICK YOUR BUTT!" Tails screams and charges at Eggman straight on. Surprising the doctor with an attack.

Tails flies open and attempts to pry open Eggman's shield. She attempts to jump on it and break it open. Eggman attempts to shake her off but it is seemingly impossible for him to be able to. Leaving the Doctor helpless and at the whims of Tails' attacks. All while Wave, Knuckles and Storm tackle the robot with ease. Leaving it as a pile of metal and scrap, freeing Jet and Sonic. Who both land painfully on the concrete of the facility but still okay and ready to scramble some egg.

The five turn to Eggman. Who is still being mercilessly attacked by Tails. They go over to Eggman and despite him randomly flailing about. The five easily and mercilessly defeat the doctor. Eggman, easily outnumbered, falls down. But of course he still has one trick up his sleeve. After all, he still possesses what they need. The chaos emeralds, with this he can access the ancient technology of the Babylonian's.

"You forced me to do this here, the chaos emeralds!" Eggman yells as he unlocks the Babylonian's ancient place. Covering himself and the others in a cloud of dust.

"Try and catch me now!" The Doctor taunts the group, he turns away to face his prize, away from the others.

The sust clear and the other six now face Eggman as he opens up a secret door revealing…. Drumroll please… a carpet.

"You have got to be kidding me." Eggman says before being attacked. First by Tails then the others. In one big dog pile until he is defeated and won't attack them, for at least a bit.

After Eggman is defeated. The six attempt to clear up what exactly happened and what this carpet is about. Before they go their separate ways and maybe forgot about this weird occurrence in their lives.

"How does a fox fly?" Sonic says inspecting Tails, mainly her namesake which allows her to fly

"Don't do that!" Tails says getting into a defensive position against the hedgehog. Sonic still inspects her for a bit before leaving her alone. At least it didn't seem like a bullying thing like most times.

"Sorry about making you crash." Wave attempts to apologize to Tails.

"Yeah Whatever, just don't do it again." Tails says, still not even thinking it's her fault that happened. If Wave is apologizing it must be her fault, right?

"So hedgehog, race me sometime?" Jet asks, seemingly a bit nervous

"You bet!"

The other four look at the two in confusion but say nothing about it. Letting their conversation and the silence speak in the place. Sonic and Jet keep talking for a bit after that too.

The rogues take the carpet and put it in their pile of items. They all say their goodbyes and leave. Tails goes to bed that night and hopes that nothing like that ever happens again. She really truly honestly hopes.

"Sonic, what was that?"

"A Friendly challenge to a race, who would I be if I declined?

"Definitely sounded friendly to me." Wave smugly says.

"…OH C'MON!" Sonic realizes after a few seconds what she's implying by that

"All I'm saying is…" Wave says

"Wave, stop talking" Sonic panics and retaliates by stating that

"All I'm saying is…" Wave repeats

The two argue all the way home about what Jet meant by that invitation for a Race. On Wave's plane. Going back home to rest, for probably only another few days.

The peace doesn't stay for long. Soon enough another artifact comes into play, the arks. The power to control gravity. Which I'm going to be honest, sounds really bad if the wrong people or person were to get their hands on it. But I assume nothing like that will happen. Absolutely not. Now way. No possible way than anyone bad will even figure out these exist. Nope. Nadda. Not going to happen. No possible way on earth that will happen. Nope. No way. Absolutely no way-
