Sorry for the long wait! I had a lot of stuff happen and managed to find old chapters I'd written out! Yeah! Please enjoy!

(3rd person POV)

"Anything?" Norm whispers, Sophia and Norm had been riding through the forest with little luck.

Sophia's head whips left and right, watching the forest with a heightened sense. Her grip on Manova tightens as they dive over a rock, fighting the urge to smirk as Norm tips back.

"Hang on tight."

"Yeah, getting that." he chuckles awkwardly.

They leap over the stream, sliding along the bank as Manova comes to a halt. Sophia's eyes snap to the sunset, a deep shiver running through her body. Manova snorts, shaking her head. It was like some invisible force was pulling them towards the setting sun.

She shuts her eyes, trying to find the soft call of the seed, feeling the ghost of her mind pulled forwards. She waits, for something… anything to happen.

Deep in the heart of home tree Moat had been in the middle of class when she felt it, the strong pull of her creator and she falls.

Her eyes flash through the forest, dancing on the wind itself before stopping in a small clearing.

"Eywa." she bows, looking around for a sign "I am here, please speak to me."

"Jake…" a foreign voice echoes over the wind "Jake can you hear me?"

Moat looks around the empty clearing, trying to find any sign of her goddess "Eywa? Please answer me."

Soft pulses surrounding her from all directions, drawing her eyes to the east and the pink sky.

That soft voice dances on the wind again "Please, Eywa. If you're out there keep him safe..."

A few terrified five-year-old's stumbled down the large winding staircase and into the throne room.

"Eytukan! Eytukan help!" a girl cries

"Mo'at's in trouble!" another adds

The proud father/clan leader turns, kneeling before the children as they tumble into his arms "Hush now children, calm yourselves." His fingers wipe away a few tears "Tell me what happened to Mo'at?"

Tsu'tey had gathered closer with a few hunters, ready and alert for danger.

"Mo'at was teaching us a prayer when she fell down!" the small child sobs

"She's fallen asleep and we can't wake her up!" another cries.

Tsu'tey glances at Eytukan "If it was an outside threat the scouts would have warned us."

"This is sign from Eywa, Tsu'tey take the hunting party. Call the others home." Eytukan wipes away a few more tears as Tsu'tey and the hunters leap to the trees and their dragons "It will be alright little ones, Take me to her."

Deep in the forest Neytiri moves, sliding along the thick tree branch with years of practice. The moss and leaves easily covering her tracks. The invader before her was beyond pathetic, trampling over everything in sight and completely exposing himself in the open. A Navi would never have been so careless...

She moves, grabbing her bow. As she drew an arrow a twinge of guilt hit her, the memories of her childhood with Grace playing in her mind but she shook that away. This invader was clearly lost, separated from his group and she knew, or rather convinced herself that he would never survive the night. Having an arrow through the chest, an instant death was far more merciful then the night he had planned.

Yet as she pulls it tight a flicker of white catches her eyes. A seed from the great tree slowly floats down, resting just above her poisoned arrow.

A sign?

In the distance a loud warning horn echoed, causing the young Navi to take off to home tree.

(Sophia's POV)

"Sophia!?"

I jolt, the three of us shifting roughly as Norms hand hits my shoulder.

I wince, a hand holding my head as the sounds of the forest snap back to me. As Manova growls lowly Norm holds up a hand "Sorry, Sorry. You both just spaced out on me there... I was calling you're name for like three minutes."

"Sorry. I just got a feeling..."

"Is it Jake?"

"I don't know."

"The only thing in that direction is home tree." Manova thinks "We should keep you and you're companions far away from there should you want to survive the night."

My hand runs over her head, trying to convey some comfort "Okay, let's go then."

..

..

(Sophia's POV)

We slide to a halt, Manova's eyes narrowing on a flickering light.

Manova tilts her head "Sunlight?"

"No. Fire." I could feel her curiosity pushing us forward, but the sudden we watch the grass move, seven, no twelve lines twisting through the grass as the fire spins in a circle. The tell-tall laugh of a viper-wolf or a 'Nantang' as Manova adds echoing around us.

Norm slaps his head "Oh that idiot…."

He's leading them right to him." Manova sighs

..

..

We move like a seasoned team, Manova breaking the hunting circle with a thunderous roar. I spin, smacking a pair of dogs off Jake.

Norm is on my left, clumsily swinging at a couple before him as I sink my blade into another creature, its whines of pain breaking my heart all over again. Manova chased the large herd into the forest.

"Sophia?! Norm?!"

I smack another one into the trees and drop to a crouch, a predatory hiss leaving my lips.

"Holy crap am I glad to see you guys!" Jake laughs, clearly unaware of the situation.

I eyed the forest, watching for Manova's form and wince at the flickering light before me "Norm!"

"Got it!"

He doused the flames in the river.

"Hey!"

"Shut up!" I snap back

"Jake you need to be quiet!" Norm hisses, slapping a hand over the other male's mouth "You do not want the Navi to find us."

A small whine grabs my attention, a lone creature had collapsed close to the trees.

I kneel before the animal "I'm sorry my friend, it was not your time to go but I pray that Eywa takes you into her arms and guides your pack through this hard time." I position the knife at her gills "Go now to Eywa." a few tears fall as the life leaves her eyes "your fight is over now."

"Sophia?" I pause, feeling the uneven heartbeat stop completely before removing my blade. "Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for killing those things. You really saved my-"

I punch him in the face.

Hard.

Jake grabs his now gushing nose "Aw what the hell kid!?"

"You don't thank for this Jake!"

He points at the dog like creature "They tried to kill me."

"Because your trampling around like an elephant with no regard for anything else!" I punch him a second time for good measure "The Navi have lived here for thousands of years and not had an issue but you seem to fuck everything up in less then an hour!" I curl my fists, kneeling before him blood dripping from my fingers "They didn't have to die Jake. That's on you."

Norm shakes his head "Seriously Jake... read the room already."

I wash my bloodied hands in the cold spring and hold my head. I was already feeling the buzz, the strain from being in the link for so long.

"Woah…" his head spins, the forest illuminating around us. "How is this possible?"

Norm rolls his eyes "Everything in this world has a bioluminescent signature," I grab jakes shirt, inspecting the ruined cloth before ringing it out "If you took have a second do use your brain Instead of your biceps you would've realized that."

"You want to un-Tommy-fy that for me."

"It absorbs the sun's light during the day and glows at night." I sigh, grabbing a leaf gently "you can tell by the shape and markings on the leaves. Almost everything in the forest is like this." Jake eyes the spine-like markings in the plants "Remember the spirals from before? No marks, which means they vanish when the sun disappears."

"Or when you touch them." he smirks

Manova gently hits my arm and I connect with her 'Young one we must head back, the Navi will not like your kind being here.'

I sigh, nodding once.

"Okay guys, we have to go. Manova says it's not safe here."

"Where will we go?" Norm asks "The Navi will be everywhere."

'You three may come with me to my home, as long as the moron stops killing everything in sight.'

I smile softly "Manova says we may come to her home as long as Jake here stops killing everything he comes across."

Jake rolls his eyes "Fine, fine. I promise I won't kill anything else without asking first okay?"

..

..

(3rd person's POV)

Sophia turns, wandering into a small clearing.

"Where are you taking me?"

The seed softly mewls, floating before her face with gentle grace

"I don't understand, please..." She lifts her hand, trying to touch it yet it dances just out of her reach

"Mew."

It floats back, hovering left and right like it was trying to beckon her over

"Hey. Come back here!"

"Mew."

It hovers, backing up further and flickers its way through a wall of light. Sophia steps forwards, trying to follow when she hits a boundary. When the seed was completely through it vanished from sight.

"Hey!" Sophia sighs, hitting the boundary with little luck.

To the left the poised figure of Mo'at turns, seeing a seed floating towards her. The creature hovers, falling into her waiting hands.

"Hello young one, what news do you bring from our goddess?"

"She is here." a soft voice whispers

"Who is here?" Mo'at asks

"She is here." the voice giggles again "You must find her Mo'at."

"Find who?" Mo'at asks

The seed lifts, spinning in a slow circle once "Find her Mo'at, before its too late..."

..

..

"Jake!" Norm's loud voice snaps me out of my trance.

My head twisting just in time to see him shove Jake to the side, screaming in pain as a stinger strikes his shoulder twice.

"Norm!" I shout, watching Jake dive for Norms head from his spot on the ground.

I grab a stick, smacking the scorpion off the tree and watch it scurrying away.

"Norm!" I watch Norm tense, body arching off the ground, a silent scream strangling his vocal cords before he falls slack "Norm! Hey man talk to me!"

"Fuck!" I grab the small flashlight from my shoulder and flick it over his eyes.

The reaction was sluggish. Manova whines behind me and I quickly link us.

"Sophia, that was a zi'nag. A death bringer. Your friend has two days to live at best."

"Can I save him."

"No."

"There has to be a way."

"There is not." She rises "You should let me kill him now."

"Hey! Hey! Back off!" Jake yells, pulling a blade "Sophia tell it to back off!"

"Her! And he's right." I force myself between the two of them "We're not killing him."

"It will only get worse young one… this is a kindness."

"Manova please"

"What's she saying?!"

I look back at Norms convulsing body

"She says there's no way to save him."

"What?!"

"She says it will only get worse."

"No! There has to be something." Jake paces "Anything!"

My head turns, catching a flicker of a memory before its gone

"What was that"

"Nothing"

"Manova."

"You wouldn't survive."

"There is a way!"

"No there's not."

"But-"

"You would be killed on sight! "

"What?" Jake stops pacing at my sigh

"The Navi are the only ones with a cure." I rub my head.

"Okay? So we go get it."

"Jake! We are at war. If we step foot in there we'll be killed."

..

..

"Jake no!" I shove him back

"I already told you, you don't go into enemy territory alone!"

"And I need you to watch Norm!"

"That's what she's for!" his hand snaps to Manova

"Yeah and whos to stop her from just eating him?!" I snap back

"Like I have a better chance with that?! That's why I should go!"

I grab his arm, ripping his back to face me "Jake you don't speak Navi!"

"I can improvise!"

"And say what? You don't speak the language!"

"Say I'm your brother and we're from a different clan or something!"

"Jake I speak Navi! Norm speaks Navi! If we grew up in another clan how would you not speak Navi!"

"Well, we can say I fell out of a tree and forgot it all!"

"Fell out of a- DO YOU REALIZE HOW STUPID YOU SOUND?!"

"Well we have to do something!"

"I am! So stay put." I place the curled bark with water by Norm, forcing myself to relax "... Make sure to cool the rags when they get warm. Keep him here, stay quiet and I'll be back when I can."

I walk to the entrance of the cave, Manova smacks me with her tendrils.

"I can't get you all the way there but close."

"Even directions would be helpful." I look back "Jake? If I don't come back by sunrise go to sleep, it will break the link."

He holds my gaze, a thousand words lingering in his gaze.

"Be careful…"

I smile softly "hey, if I'm your little sister that means I'll have Tommy watching over me."

Read and Review, peace!
