CatNap woke up feeling warm and fuzzy inside, he lifted up his head to see his best friends sleeping face, he tried to get up but DogDay wouldn't let him go as he had him in an involuntary death grip
"DogDay cmon"said CatNap trying to shake him
"mmmm... noooooo"DogDay whined while hugging him tighter
"Please... I need to get up"said CatNap
"Sigh... five minutes"DogDay pouted
"DogDay five minutes turn into ten and then ten turns into twenty, next thing we know I can't even make it to lunch"said CatNap
"Fine"said DogDay loosening his grip half hoping that the feline would stay with him
CatNap got up and helped DogDay up as well
"Why do I have to get up?"said DogDay
"Because I'm not leaving you on the hard roof, besides it's better than lying in"said CatNap nuzzling his cheek which made him laugh
"Okay CatNap... ladies first?"said DogDay opening the window
"Shut up"said CatNap climbing in and seeing Player on the bottom bunk
DogDay decided to wake them up
"Cmon Angel wake up"said DogDay
Player slowly got up and rubbed their eyes, adjusting to the light
"CatNap, I thought I told you to stay in your room"said Player
"It's my fault, I made him come outside"said DogDay
"Sigh... okay, you guys hungry?"said Player
"Yeah"said DogDay
"No"said CatNap
"Oh, cmon CatNap, how are you not hungry?"said DogDay
"Not everyone eats the same"said CatNap
"He's right CatNap, you didn't really eat much last night"said Player
"I'm fine"said CatNap
"It doesn't seem like it"said DogDay
"What is this? I'm not up ten minutes and I'm already being interrogated"said CatNap
"CatNap, that's what you think this is? We're worried about you because we love you"said DogDay
"Well you shouldn't"said CatNap leaving
"Sigh that cat needs counselling"said Player getting out of bed
DogDay stood there holding his arm in discomfort
"Hey, it's okay, I'll make him eat"said Player
"It's not just that, did you not hear what he said?"said DogDay
"I know, look we'll talk to him, he really is going through a lot huh?"said Player
"... We all are"said DogDay turning away from them
Player looked at him sympathetically and grabbed his hand
"It sucks but as long as we've all got each other then who cares about the challenges ahead"said Player
"But... it's so scary"said DogDay
"It will be but your faith is what'll keep you going, take CatNap for example, you put your faith in him"said Player
"And he still turned on us?"said DogDay
"No, you lost faith in him and that's why he turned but you put your faith back in him that day I found you and that's why he fought back against the Prototype despite it being terrifying"said Player
"Oh... I get what you're saying now... things always turn out bad when you lose faith"said DogDay
"Yeah, if you're completely hopeless then you have nothing to show for the time you've been alive, also it further proves that faith makes that scary obstacle seem less dangerous"said Player
"I've never looked at it like that"said DogDay
"And that's perception my friend"said Player walking downstairs with DogDay and into the kitchen where they saw Huggy and Kissy making breakfast
"Smells gooooood"Player called
"OH COME ON"yelled Huggy
"Woah whats wrong with him?"said Player
"We were going to serve everyone breakfast in bed but it's too late now"said Kissy
"Oh gee, sorry Huggy"said DogDay
"No, it's fine we can still do this"said Huggy filled with determination
"What are you guys even making?"said Player
"Breakfast burritos"said Kissy
"Sounds good"said Player
"By the way, have you seen CatNap?"said DogDay
"HE'S UP AS WE...calm down Huggy, some people are just early birds, no we haven't"said Huggy
"Sigh this cat"said Player facepalming themselves
"Don't worry, we'll keep an eye out for ya"said Kissy winking
"Thanks Kissy, why don't you go look for him... just don't wake anyone up so Huggy doesn't pop a blood vessel"said Player
"Heh... okay"said DogDay walking into the backyard
"Sigh how about I help you Huggy?"said Player
"YES PLAYER, let's get this done"said Huggy wrapping an arm around them
"CatNap"DogDay called out softly trying not to wake anyone up
Just when he was about to go back inside he felt a pair of hands on each of his sides and got squeezed
"EEEP"DogDay yelled puffing up while jumping
"PFFFFT, you should've seen your face"said CatNap laughing his head off
"Hey"said DogDay annoyed while blushing in embarrassment
"You're so puffy as well"said CatNap admiring his friends adorable reaction
"Cut it out"said DogDay trying to hide his face with his ears
"Awww, is someone embarrassed?"said CatNap rubbing both of his ears which made his tail wag
DogDay pulled him into a hug
"I was worried about you... whatever's going on Moon I can help"said DogDay
CatNap frowned
"I don't think you could... but as long as I get to see you and everyone else happy... I could care less about me"said CatNap
DogDay didn't like the sound of that and ended up squeezing him tighter
"I love you Moon"said DogDay
"Heh... I tolerate you Sunshine"said CatNap breaking the hug
DogDay laughed at this response and grabbed the cat's hand, they then opened the door to see tons of plates full of breakfast burritos with a half crazed looking Huggy with a very exhausted Missy and Player
"HEHEEHEHHHAHAHAHA, We did it... you BOTH deserve a hug"said Huggy wrapping both his arms around them while also leaving a massive kiss on Kissy's head earning him a laugh
"Oh hey guys"said Player
Huggy immediately let go of them and immediately picked up CatNap and squeezing him as hard as he could
"Player told me everything and I don't regret loving you"said Huggy
All CatNap could do was wait there awkwardly until he was put down, DogDay was smiling fairly amused
"Looks like you've made breakfast"said DogDay
"Yup, could you guys help us give this to everyone"said Player
"Sure"said CatNap
After going into each one of their friends rooms and placing their food on their beside tables they were all in the living room eating their breakfast while watching terrible game shows
"ITS B, THE ANSWERS B YOU MORON"Huggy yelled at the TV
"It's gonna be A"said Player
"And the answer is... A"The Gameshow Host
"NOOOO"yelled Huggy
"Told ya it was 1995"said Player
"There was no way it was made that long ago"said Huggy
"I can search it up if you don't believe them"said Player revealing their phone
CatNaps eyes immediately widened and started shaking
"CatNap?"said DogDay trying to get close to his companion but was immediately pushed away and the purple cat rushed to the corner of the living room shaking like a leaf
"CatNap-"said Player trying to get up but was immediately interrupted
"MOON?"yelled DogDay rushing to him and cupping his face to see his soaked cheeks and his nose that was twitching
"DON'T HURT ME PLEASE"yelled CatNap trying to back away from DogDay but just ended up cornering himself which made him shake even harder
DogDay slowly got closer to him so he didn't scare him
"Shhhh it's okay, I won't hurt you, you know I won't"DogDay whispered lovingly in his ear
"I... I... won't... go back, I WON'T GO BACK"yelled CatNap pinning DogDay to the floor
"CATNAP"yelled Player picking up the distressed cat who was still shaking and struggling because he wanted to get out of Players arms
"LET ME GO... PLEASE LET ME GO"yelled CatNap
"CatNap calm do-"said Player
Red smoke immediately hit his face which made him feel sleepy and dropped CatNap while also sitting back down on the couch, he hit the ground hard which stopped him from moving while he started whimpering, Kissy immediately picked up CatNap and laid him down on the couch where he continued to cry into the pillows while all Huggy and Kissy could do was whisper comforting words in his ear
"Don't... don't... hu..."said CatNap crying himself to sleep
DogDay was checking on Player who seemed to be sleeping soundly
"Thank god, usually that smoke makes people have nightmares"said DogDay
He then immediately looked at his best friend and hugged him, placing his head on his chest which made the cat purr loudly
"Goodnight Moon"said DogDay lying down while still holding onto his friend
"Sigh, what do you think all that was about?"said Huggy
"I don't know... it was pretty scary though"said Kissy
"Sigh do you think he'll tell us why he acted the way he did?"said Huggy looking at DogDay
"I don't know... he could be seeing things..."said DogDay placing his chin on the cats head which made him purr even louder
"Oh... geez, I didn't even think about that"said Huggy
"That's awful, whatever he's seeing is scaring him"said Kissy
"I know"said DogDay petting the cat
"Is there anything we can do?"said Huggy
"Yeah, you might wanna take Angel to bed"said DogDay
Huggy picked up Player
"Are you gonna put him in bed?"said Huggy
DogDay shook his head
"I understand, too comfy"said Huggy walking with Kissy upstairs
"Sigh... Why'd it have to be you buddy, I really hope these hallucinations are short term, I don't want him to go insane... sigh 'I shouldn't love him' where the hell did that come from? I don't want him to start thinking like that, does he really regret everything he did THAT much? I'm trying my hardest to get close to him so he can open up but he just pushes me away..."thought DogDay hugging him tighter
"Just talk to me bud"DogDay whispered in his ear
CatNaps ear twitched and he slowly opened his eyes
"Pffffffft, Sunshine?"said CatNap looking at the orange dog
"Hi Moon"said DogDay sweetly
"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry"said CatNap crying into his chest
"Please... don't stress... you were scared, I understand... CatNap what's going on?"said DogDay making CatNap look up at him again
"I don't wanna talk about it"said CatNap
"Why not? I know I said you don't have to tell me but... I don't want to leave you... again, so please tell me what's wrong, tell me why you've been acting the way you have"said DogDay
"... I see things... I see my disgusting form, I hear voices that constantly mock me, I have nightmares about the past... I see everyones mangled bodies, they yell, they try to attack me and any time I try fighting back I hurt you, I don't want help because... I deserve it... I'm trying to pay for my sins but no matter what I do to torture myself, it's never enough"said CatNap
"Stop... you don't have to pay for anything, we're all just glad it's over... you're worrying me Moon"said DogDay
"What's it matter? I'm better off dead"said CatNap
"NO... how could you say something like that? I know times have been tough for... everyone but they'll eventually warm up to the fact you're staying with us, just please don't leave me"said DogDay rubbing behind CatNaps ears
"Why do you still care, I tortured you... I traumatised you, you were the only one who was nice to me, the only one who really appreciated me because I was different"said CatNap
"I couldn't leave you, you were all alone and ever since the whole 'Plushie Incident' you seemed to really start losing your mind"said DogDay
"Oh yeah... the incident"said CatNap uncomfortably
After the new character CatNap had been introduced to the Smile Critters, Playtime Co immediately started thinking of merchandise for the new adorable concept, like plushies, clothes etc but there had been problems with the production as the plushies weren't filled with the lavender aroma but with an incredibly potent sleeping gas that although didn't cause any physical problems it made children hallucinate and have terrible nightmares after purchasing the innocent looking doll and thanks to this the characters merchandise was immediately recalled as CatNap was deemed too dangerous for children and even adults, Playtime Co was lucky they didn't suffer from any lawsuits but due to recent controversy and people being triggered by the sight of the purple cat they not only took away the merchandise they removed the cat from the show completely, which was their way of saying that he was no longer a Smiling Critter which not only encouraged them to make fun of him even more, it also made the cat fall down into a deep depression and was slowly beginning to go crazy over it, all he would do was watch the old episodes that included him on repeat while fake smiling, wanting things to go back to the way they were and one specific day was no exception, the cat hadn't slept in weeks, his bags had bags and his face was stained with his tears while he sat on his couch just watching, he hadn't eaten anything in two days and although his stomach was killing he didn't care and just wanted to part of the episodes again, the scientists were fairly kind as although CatNap was hated by the public, the orphans loved him so he was allowed to see them and he was even allowed to help scientists around the facilities but he couldn't even do that as this all happened so suddenly and he wasn't able to find any motivation to do anything, there was then a knock on the door so he got up with difficulty and creaked the door open revealing his one delirious eye staring at DogDay who was on the other side of the door, overtly worried
"Hey CatNap... geez you look terrible"said DogDay
"What do you want? You come here to call me a monster?"CatNap said as his voice broke
"What? No... I wanted to check on you, I haven't seen you since... since they removed you from the show"said DogDay
The door slowly opened, revealing his face which made him look away for a second but as he thought it was rude DogDay forced himself to look at his friend disheartening face
"I know... pretty hideous right?"said CatNap
"I'm guessing you didn't take it well"said DogDay
CatNap shook his head
"Can I come in? You look like you could use some company"said DogDay
"That's... very sweet of you but I just wanna be left alone"said CatNap about to close his door
"WAIT..."DogDay called out
CatNap halted
"Can I at least give you these, I asked Picky to make them for you... don't worry she didn't poison them... heh"said DogDay holding out a basket full of gingerbread cookies
"Why? Why are you being so nice to me?"said CatNap
"Because you have feelings to, I just can't stand treating people like crap and you especially don't deserve it, it's not your fault for the plushies"said DogDay
"Well... thanks I... sigh, come in if you want"said CatNap taking the basket while leaving his door wide open
DogDay followed and closed the door behind him
"Why's it so dark in here"said DogDay reaching for the curtains but his arm was swiftly grabbed which made him jump
"Don't, I don't wanna be seen"said CatNap
DogDay immediately felt a giant wave of sympathy drown his heart
"I really wish they didn't remove you, you were an interesting character"said DogDay
"Controversy, what can I say"said CatNap sitting on his couch resuming the episode
DogDay joined him
"When's the last time you slept?"said DogDay
"two weeks ago"said CatNap
"Whens the last time you ate?"said DogDay
"Two days ago"said CatNap
DogDay gasped and immediately thrusted the basket full of cookies in front of him
"Eat them"said DogDay
CatNap sighed and took a bite out of the cookie which made him tear up, they were amazing. The look on his face made DogDay smile and he immediately got up and went into his kitchen to see if he could cook anything but his kitchen was pretty barren
"Hey, do you even have anything?"said DogDay
"No"said CatNap
"Sigh... cmon, let's get outta here"said DogDay getting CatNap to stand up
As he was about to open the door his hand was grabbed
"No... what if they see me?"said CatNap
"They won't say anything while I'm around, don't worry I also highly doubt that you've left the house"said DogDay
CatNap stayed quiet
"I figured as much"said DogDay taking his hand and walking out the house
"Where... are we going?"said CatNap
"The diner, then I was thinking we could go take a walk around the park and then I was thinking we could go food shopping, your kitchen looked like a desert"said DogDay
(Yes I know all that stuff isn't in the giant dome but I decided to Truman Show it and add more stuff like DogDay listed and an entire forest, also every smiling critter has their own house, I know a lot of changes)
CatNap was looking around making sure that no one was there
"Hey, calm down"said DogDay grabbing his hand a little tighter
"Sorry"said CatNap
They walked into the diner and took a table
"So whatcha been up to?"said DogDay
"Crying, watching old episodes, pulling all nighters, starving myself to death... you?"said CatNap
"Besides from worrying about you, I've been having to organise events, help with the orphanage and help around the school"said DogDay
"Do you have any time to yourself?"said CatNap
"Yeah, when I have to sleep"said DogDay
CatNap laughed and the waiter headed towards their table
"Alright, what can I do for the stars of the show"said the waiter
Once they had ordered the waiter left them to it, CatNap still seemed nervous
"What's wrong?"said DogDay
"Uh... I... I don't want to be antagonised by the group"said CatNap
"What'd I say before?"said DogDay
"I know but that hasn't stopped them before and all you do is ask them to 'please stop' as if they're actually going to listen to you"said CatNap feeling a bit irritated
"I know... I know it's a pain but... I'm in a really tough spot okay? You're all my friends and I can't just start insulting them back"said DogDay
"You're just soft"said CatNap burying his face into his arms
"Maybe but... that doesn't mean I don't care"said DogDay
"I just... wish you were there for me a little more"said CatNap
"But I am"said DogDay
"Yeah whenever it's convenient or whenever we're alone, you're never there when I actually need you"said CatNap
"Well I'm here now, right?"said DogDay giving him a big smile
CatNap smiled back
"For now"he responded
"Alrighty here ya go and CatNap I'm so sorry to hear abo-"said the waiter handing out the food
He was cut off by DogDay putting his finger on his lips
"Oh... sorry"said the waiter
After they thanked him and ate they decided to take a walk through the park which made CatNap start moving his head like crazy as he was looking for any Smiling Critters
"CatNap... stop, you're okay"said DogDay stopping while petting his head
"Can we go please?"said CatNap placing his hand on his shoulders while tearing up
"Whoa okay, okay we can go"said DogDay placing his forehead on CatNaps
"DogDay?"said ???
DogDay turned his head to see CraftyCorn
"Hey Crafty"said DogDay excitedly
"Oh... hey CatNap"said CraftyCorn waving awkwardly
CatNap just stood there smiling coldly at her which made her feel uncomfortable
"So what are you doing here?"said DogDay
"I was gonna paint for all the orphans, I usually come down here every Wednesday to do so"said CraftyCorn
"NICE, do you think you could paint me and CatNap?"said DogDay with stars in his eyes while his tail wagged like crazy
"Oh uh SURE uhm why don't you both sit on the bench?"said CraftyCorn smiling nervously
"Okay, cmon CatNap"said DogDay grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the bench, they sat down and DogDay hugged his side
"Okay, just stay still..."said CraftyCorn brushing the paint onto the canvas
"DogDay I said I wanted to-"said CatNap
"I know, this won't take long, Crafty's pretty quick"said DogDay
CatNap sat there trying to get comfortable but was still stressing over the fact that Crafty was here
"Aaaaand, done"said CraftyCorn revealing the picture which shocked both DogDay and CatNap
"THAT LOOKS AMAZING"yelled DogDay happily
"Thank you"said CraftyCorn
"Look at how cute this is CatNap"said DogDay showing him the canvas
"Wow... uh... how did..."said CatNap
"Impressed?"said Crafty
CatNap nodded
"Well I have been practicing"said CraftyCorn
"It definitely paid off, thank you Crafty"said DogDay grabbing CatNaps hand
"Uh... Thanks..."CatNap mumbled
"You're both welcome, SEE YOU SOON DOGDAY"she called out happily
"Okay we can go shopping now"said DogDay nuzzling into CatNaps neck

"You don't need to be sorry, I know you're used to Crafty making fun of you but she's really not that bad when she's not with the group"said DogDay

They then walked into the store, after getting some food they started heading back to CatNaps but immediately came to a halt due to the sight of a certain chicken
"Oh no"said DogDay
CatNaps ears flattened and his tail started wagging like crazy
"Hey, DogDay what are you doing with the reject?"said Kickin
"Leave him alone Kickin, he's been through enough"said DogDay
"Well that's what happens when you give children nightmares"said Kickin
"How was that his fault?"said DogDay aggressively
"Who else do you know who breathes sleeping gas?"said Kickin
"Get the hell outta here"said CatNap
"Who gave you a voice, freak?"said Kickin
"KICKIN, just go... please"said DogDay
"Fine but I think you should stop wasting your time with this sad joke and start hanging out with your real friends a little more"said Kickin
"I won't if you keep talking to him like that"said DogDay
Kickin scoffed and walked away
"Finally, what even is his problem?"said DogDay
"I swear to god I'm gonna feed that div to Picky-"said CatNap shaking violently in pure rage
"Hey, calm down... he's gone now"said DogDay
"I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T WANNA BE SEEN"CatNap lashed out at him
"I'm sorry"said DogDay weakly
"You're always sorry"said CatNap walking away from DogDay
He caught up to CatNap wanting to comfort him
"I just wanted to see you smile again"said DogDay
"Well you did, congratulations now go home"said CatNap
"I still want to help you with the groceries"said DogDay

"Sigh CatNap cmon, it's not like I asked him to bother you"said DogDay

"Pathetic, so much for your real friends"said CatNap picking up the pace trying to lose him but his hand was grabbed

"Ugh, GET OFF, you're such a crybaby, okay fine you can stay with me just... sigh just don't be a nuisance"said CatNap pulling DogDay off of him
"Thank you CatNap"said DogDay grabbing both of his hands whilst his tail was wagging
"Sigh come on I wanna go home"said CatNap
After they got to CatNaps house they put all the food away and had dinner, once they were done they sat on the couch watching a movie
"... Are you going home?"said CatNap
"Uh... well I was thinking about staying if it's okay with you"said DogDay
"... I mean, I don't see why not"said CatNap
DogDays eyes lit up and he immediately hugged his side while CatNap smiled ever so slightly
"I'm glad those days in that dome are over"said DogDay
"I miss them sometimes..."said CatNap
"Point is that we are all responsible for what happened, if everyone else had lifted you into their arms then maybe The Hour Of Joy wouldn't have happened"said DogDay
"It doesn't matter now, I made my choice, I knew it was wrong and I chose to kill everyone anyway I-"said CatNap
"Hey guys... aaaaaw"said Bobby BearHug admiring the adorable sight
"Oh morning Bobby"said DogDay getting CatNap off of him

"So whatcha doing other than cuddling"said Bobby sitting between the two

"Wait"said Bobby grabbing his shoulder

"Yeah... I know we're not the best of friends but I want to"said Bobby

"I don't even care about that anymore I just want us all to be friends and Im tired of treating you horribly" said Bobby

"You don't have to say anything, I'm just sorry it took so long to come to my senses, I don't know why Kickin hates you so much, you're really not that bad"said Bobby
"I literally ripped his tongue out, broke his beak and ripped his head off slowly"said CatNap

"Well... I really hope you two make up, I don't want to break up any future fights... hey can you promise me that you'll try to make up with everyone"said Bobby
"Sure but... I doubt they'll listen to me"said CatNap

"You've both done enough, don't worry I can handle it"said CatNap smiling while getting off the couch
Once he left Bobby immediately turned to DogDay

"Uh... it's my nickname for him"said DogDay

"Just when I thought you both couldn't get any cuter"said Bobby
"Shut up"said DogDay rolling his eyes
"Oh, we have to find a cave for Mommy"said Bobby

Huggy and Kissy walked in
"Hey Bobby, where's CatNap?"said Kissy
"He's probably outside reading a book, he's fine... for now"said DogDay

"Oh you didn't..."said Huggy
"No... uhm, CatNap broke down again"said DogDay
"Oh... what happened?"said Bobby
After DogDay explained Bobby covered her mouth
"Oh no... that's awful, and to think that we were picking on him while he was going through all of that, sigh that explains why he punched you"said Bobby
"I don't know what to do, he's not a human so it's not like he can get any sort of help, he really needs us"said DogDay
"I see that now..."said Bobby
"Alright well this just got... sad, why don't we lighten the mood while we wait for everyone to get up"said Huggy pulling everyone into a hug while turning on the TV, after everyone besides Hoppy, Kickin and CatNap was in the living room they started planning
"Alright once CatNap, Hoppy and Kickin get here we'll all split up into tiny groups"said Player
"Do we have to wait for CatNap?"said Bubba
"Yes, what's the problem?"said Poppy
"I think we all know"said Picky
"Cmon guys, today is about Mommy... if you're not gonna get along with him for Player do it for her"said DogDay

Mommy was touched by this and pet DogDay which made his tail wag
Meanwhile...
"They're probably waiting for me now"thought CatNap closing his book and climbing down the tree
"Hey freak"
"Huh? Oh great"said CatNap turning to see Hoppy and Kickin heading his way
"You don't look happy to see us"said Hoppy
"I'm not, what do you want?"said CatNap
"Woah, look at that ugly scar on his chest"said Kickin avoiding the question
"That has nothing to do with you"said CatNap covering his scar with his hand
"Alright let's cut to the chase"said Hoppy
Kickin nodded and punched CatNap square in the face
"What was that about me staying dead?"said Kickin
"So that's what this is about... I'm sorry, I didn't mean it"said CatNap
"Yeah, right"said Hoppy kicking him in the gut which easily winded the poor cat
Kickin then grabbed the cat and punched him in the nose which made it bleed, he then threw CatNap to the side

"Oh and you might wanna stay away from DogDay, he's a fool for being friends with... a reject"said Hoppy walking inside with Kickin

"You think I don't know that?"said CatNap holding his stomach while getting up and bleeding an entire bucket
"HEY CATNAP, COME ON WE'RE ABOUT TO-"called out Player they stopped and saw the cats injured face
Player rushed over to him
"What happened?"said Player
"I fell from the tree"said CatNap
"You fell?"said Player
CatNap nodded
"Sigh did you break your nose?"said Player
"No... I don't think so"said CatNap
"Well it doesn't look broken... sigh poor little guy"said Player grabbing his hand and walking into the house were everyone was practically ready
"Hey guys, just need to patch up this oddball before we do anything"said Player
"Are you kidding me? Just leave him here, he can take care of himself for a few hours, I wanna get going"said Hoppy
"Patience is a virtue"said Player sitting CatNap down while they got the med kit
"Are you okay?"said Bobby holding CatNaps hands
"Yeah... just stings a little"said CatNap
DogDay looked at CatNap and then at Kickin suspiciously and then noticed a bit of red on his knuckles which immediately made his blood boil
"That evil ba-"thought DogDay
"Hey DogDay, you okay? you're just kinda staring at me"said Kickin
"Oh sorry, I'm fine"said DogDay putting on a fake smile
"Well okay"said Kickin
After Player cleaned up all the blood they gave him a quick hug and took several baskets full of food
"Alright team, we're gonna be searching for caves but we're all gonna be split into teams of three, however this is an odd number of people so there's gonna be one team of four"said Player
Team formations:
Team 1: Hoppy, Kickin, DogDay, Poppy
Team 2: Bubba, Picky, Mommy
Team 3: CatNap, Crafty, Bobby
Team 4: Kissy, Player, Huggy
"Make sure they don't rip each others throats out"DogDay whispered in Bobby's ear which made her giggle
"Alright Me and Picky have made everyones lunch and if you're team is lost then call us and we'll track down your phones"said Player
"Can we go now? This isn't an army camp"said Huggy
"Heh, alright alright"said Player opened the door and made the teams go out one at a time so they don't get mixed up
The four teams went off in different directions while trying to memorise their way back home
Team 1
After a good thirty minute walk DogDay decided to confront Kickin
"So Kickin I noticed something really interesting today"said DogDay
"Oh, really?"said Kickin
"Yeah, I noticed that uh when you showed up, CatNap also showed up"said DogDay
"Where are you going with this DogDay?"said Poppy
"Well considering how he was injured when he showed up right after you, you wonder why that concerns me?"said DogDay
Hoppy was sweating a bit
"What are you trying to imply?"said Kickin turning around while coming to a stop
"I don't know, maybe you might've had something to do with it"said DogDay
"Pfft what? No, I was with Hoppy, we were talking before we joined you guys right?"said Kickin looking at Hoppy
She started sweating a whole lot more and stayed quiet
"Show me your hands"said DogDay
"Look this is ridiculous, I didn't touch your dumb cat"said Kickin
"KICKI-"Poppy responded
She was cut off by DogDay when he put his hand in the way of her and the chicken
"If you didn't do it then you have nothing to hide, show me your ha..."said DogDay
"OKAY, we beat the living daylights out of him"said Hoppy
"Hoppy what are you doi-"said Kickin
"Look we wanted to get back at him for last night"said Hoppy
"WHAT?"yelled Poppy
DogDay clenched his fists and speed walked towards Kickin and once he was close enough he immediately punched Kickin across the face which made him fall to the ground and before Poppy could react DogDay pinned Hoppy against the tree
"DOGDAY STOP, just because what they did was wrong doesn't mean that you have to get in trouble"said Poppy grabbing his hand
DogDay let go of her
"Are you guys okay?"said Poppy
They both responded with "Yes" and then Poppy immediately went off
"HOW COULD YOU GUYS DO SOMETHING SO TERRIBLE, PLAYER WELCOMED YOU INTO THEIR HOME WITH A FEW SIMPLE RULES AND YOU BROKE THEM"Poppy yelled
"I'm sorry"said Hoppy
"Yeah we didn't think it through"said Kickin
"Clearly, here's what we're gonna do, we're gonna try and find a cave and once we do we're gonna go home and we're gonna come up with a well thought out punishment for the three of you"said Poppy
"Three?"said DogDay
"Yeah, you're not off the hook either mister, you broke the hands off rule so you're also gonna be punished"said Poppy
"... I'm going home"said DogDay walking away from the group
"DogDay, COME ON WE'RE SORRY"Hoppy called out
"One more thing, you guys better give CatNap a genuine apology"said Poppy
"Ugh, we will"said Kickin
Team 2
"Man, so hungry"said Picky
"Well we can't eat yet, we've barely found anything"said Bubba
"Don't worry sweetheart we'll eat soon"said Mommy
"So why don't you want to live at Player's"said Bubba
"Not enough room, I don't really want a crowded area for a home"said Mommy
"Fair enough"said Picky
"But how are we gonna find a cave, these fields are as flat as anything"said Picky
"Maybe we'll get lucky"said Bubba
"Or we're just gonna be walking around like idiots"said Picky
"That to hehe"said Mommy
Bubba rolled his eyes while smiling
"What do you plan on doing once we find a cave thats big enough?"said Bubba
"Hmmm, move furniture in and decorate it with lights, add wooden flooring, put a bed in there, add in a generator with a TV, it'll take a while but it'll be so worth it"said Mommy while her pupils widened in excitement
"Could we visit you?"said Picky
"Of course you can, y'know player has a little surprise for all of us"said Mommy picking up both of them while they laughed
"SURPRISE?!"said Picky
"That's right"said Mommy
"Tonight?"said Bubba
"No they told me it wouldn't be in another two weeks or so, says it'll ease a few tensions"said Mommy
"CatNap I'm suspecting"said Bubba crossing his arms while looking a bit agitated
"Y'know CatNap isn't the only one who took part in The Hour Of Joy"said Mommy
"That's different, you killed people but he made me, Bobby and DogDay suffer... I remember eating an... orphan"said Picky overtly disgusted by the memory
"And you think he's proud of that?"said Mommy
"I don't know, maybe, he didn't seem to care when he killed me, Kickin and Crafty... he almost seemed happy, I remember every bloody moment of it all, he tore my brain out"said Bubba holding the top of his head
"And I had to eat your corpse"said Picky shaking in anger and sorrow
"Those dark days are over, we just need to forget, we're all trying to change... although it's hard, I... sometimes struggle to look at you guys because I remember contributing to something that tortured you all, Huggy and Kissy have each other so they're handling the regret fairly well, I have you sweethearts and CatNap he's suffering, DogDays trying to help him but it doesn't look like it's working and I notice that CatNap doesn't even want his help at certain points, I don't know if that's a form of self punishment or he can't face him but he isn't in the right state of mind so please cut the cat some slack even if it seems wrong he's in the same boat as all of us"said Mommy
"Serves him right for turning on everyone"said Picky
Bubba nodded
"Sigh, I hope someday you'll understand"said Mommy looking down at her feet
Team 3
"UGH, Why am I stuck with you"said Crafty
"Crafty"said Bobby
"What? I don't want him here"said Crafty
"Remember who we're doing this for"said Bobby
"Fine"said Crafty
"... I'm sorry"CatNap murmured out
"Scoffs, you think one apology is gonna fix all this?"said Crafty
"No... I'm still trying to pay for what I did"said CatNap
"Well then you're best bet is killing yourself"said Crafty
"YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT?"CatNap snapped
"CUT IT OUT YOU GUYS, ESPECIALLY YOU CRAFTY"yelled Bobby
"Why are you sticking up for this monster?"said Crafty
"Why are you worsening his situation?"said Bobby
"Because he deserves it"said Crafty
"No he doesn't, look at him, he's tired, he's hurting"said Bobby
"SO WERE WE"said Crafty tearing up
"BUT OUR PAIN IS O-"Bobby retaliated
"QUIET, Bobby she's right, everyone's pain is far from gone and it's all my fault, yes Im tired, I'm scared, I hate myself, I am hurting but I deserve it all, this is the only way I can pay everyone back... so for the love of god stop trying to help, I already have to deal with that damn dog"said CatNap
"CatNap..."said Bobby
"Shhhh, it's okay, I'll pay for what Ive done"said CatNap
"I don't want that, I just want you back, I just want that friendly kitty back"said Bobby
"He's gone... now come on I think I hear something"said CatNap
Crafty and CatNap continued to walk while Bobby stood there in disbelief
"Damn it cat"Bobby muttered to herself
"Bobby hurry up"said Crafty
Bobby caught up to them and then they came across a glorious waterfall that had a ledge and a massive hole behind it
"Now that could be a place for Mommy"said Bobby
"I know, I could also paint here and whenever it's too hot we could go swimming"said CraftyCorn
"You were always good at painting..."said CatNap walking ahead of them
Bobby was about to follow but was held back by CraftyCorn
"Bobby, even after everything he's done, why do you still care about him?"said CraftyCorn
"Crafty, I'm tired of holding grudges I just want things to go back to the way they were"said Bobby
"But he left you alone for years until you decided to... hang yourself"said Crafty
"I know... but I spoke to DogDay and he told me something, something you and I had no idea about"said Bobby
"And that is?"said Crafty
"DogDay abandoned him"said Bobby
"What?"said Crafty
"Before CatNap lost it, DogDay abandoned him after he found out about CatNaps obsession with the Prototype, I'm sure you're aware about CatNaps body transformation, he was locked away in a cage with no one, constantly scolded by workers, kids were scared of him and he had no one but that evil experiment, maybe if we had cared, CatNap would've realised that there was more than just the Prototype and maybe The Hour Of Joy wouldn't have happened, DogDay was the last straw before he completely went insane"said Bobby
Crafty was gaining mixed feelings about this terrible predicament
"I guess we did treat him horribly when he wasn't doing anything wrong but... that's because he didn't belong there"said Crafty
"None of us did, we involuntarily caused The Hour Of Joy and we shift all the blame onto the person whose suffering the most, he just wanted freedom but instead got a living nightmare, he was deceived, manipulated and killed by that thing he worshiped"said Bobby
Crafty felt only one emotion and that was guilt even though she didn't like to admit it Bobby had a point
"I guess... we judged him to soon"said Crafty rubbing the back of her head nervously
"You both need to talk, might make you feel better"said Bobby
"Now?"said Crafty
"Preferably"said Bobby
"Okay..."said Crafty
She walked ahead of Bobby and saw CatNap sat on the ledge with the massive entrance behind him, she decided to sit next to him
"Bobby told me what happened to you and DogDay before, is that why you did the things you did before?"said Crafty
"... Partly, but it's not like it matters now"said CatNap
"Of course it does CatNap, I didn't know anything about that"said Crafty
"You didn't know?"said CatNap
Crafty shook her head
"I did find it weird why you would hurt DogDay but it makes sense"said Crafty
"Still, what I did was evil... it was my choice and I picked the wrong one, I knew it was wrong and I went through with it anyway, I'm a monster"said CatNap
"Was a monster"said Crafty
"What?"said CatNap
"I mean, you regret what you did right?"said Crafty
"I mean, is my fur purple?"said CatNap
"Then considering everything that happened before The Hour Of Joy, that's good enough for me... I'm sorry how I treated you before but I want us to be friends"said Crafty
CatNap thought about it and immediately grabbed her hooves
"Are you sure?"said CatNap
"Never been more sure"said Crafty
"Okay..."said CatNap helping her up
Bobby clapped her hands
"10/10"said Bobby
Crafty and CatNap rolled their eyes and walked into the dark cave, CatNap turned on his phone light and guided his friends through the gloomy cave to see where it ends and luckily there wasn't any tunnels and the cave was big enough to hold two houses
"We hit the jackpot"said Crafty
"I know"said CatNap
They left the cave and then Crafty unexpectedly pushed CatNap into the body of water which made him drop his phone but luckily it didn't break and dived in right after
"WHAT THE-"yelled CatNap before getting splashed by a giant wave of water while Crafty gave him a smug look
"It's on"said CatNap splashing her as much as he could
Bobby jumped in between which splashed both of them
"Take this"said Bobby splashing CatNap
He splashed back and then Crafty dunked his head underwater for half a second, CatNap retaliated by picking her up with his tail and dropping her back in the water which made her laugh profusely, after a good thirty minutes of playtime they ended up hugging CatNap from each side
"We love you CatNap"they said in unison making CatNap smile
"Okay cmon let's find everyone else"said CatNap feeling overwhelmed
"Alright"said Crafty
"If I get a cold it's on you guys"said CatNap which made them laugh
Team 4
"Sigh, I'm getting tired of this there's nothing for miles"said Huggy
"Don't say that, I'm sure there'll be something"said Kissy holding his hand
"I don't know Kissy, Huggy might be right, if we go any farther we might get lost"said Player
"So what you're saying is that we should head back?"said Kissy
"Unfortunately ye... wait I'm getting a call from CatNap, heya kitty"said Player
"Hey Player me and my wonderful team have found THE spot Im talking the silver tuna, the cream of the crop, THE best of the best"said CatNap
"Alright send me the location"said Player rolling their eyes in amusement
He did so
"Alright Ive got it, I'll send everyone else your location and we can see how great THE spot is, anyways we'll see ya then, love you"said Player
CatNap hung up
"We'll work on that"said Player
"Well looks like they did our job for us"said Huggy
"Yup"said Huggy walking ahead of them
"Yeah, let's just hope they're not exaggerating"said Player sending everyone CatNaps location
After a good thirty minute walk they saw the gorgeous sight with everyone already there
"Hey guys"said Player
"YAY THEY'RE HERE"yelled Bobby
"Nice find you three"said Huggy
"CAN WE JUST EAT NOW?"yelled Picky
"YES CHILDREN"announced Mommy
Everyone was eating their food contently while the adults were having a discussion
"Alright so what do you think of this place?"said Player taking a sip of their beer
"Well its just wonderful, I have more space than I could ever need, I basically have a pool outside my house and the scenery here is breathtaking"said Mommy
"Yeah I'm kinda jealous that you get all of this to yourself"said Kissy
"Hey, where's DogDay? I noticed that he isn't here"said Huggy
"Oh yeah, about that... turns out our CatNap didn't get beat up by a tree, turns out Kickin and Hoppy had a score to settle"said Poppy
"What?"said Player
"Yeah, DogDay interrogated them and once they spilt their guts DogDay was not happy"said Poppy
"What did he do?"said Kissy
"He returned the favour by punching Kickin and pinning Hoppy to a tree"said Poppy
"Our DogDay? The same one who cries after every other Disney movie?"said Player
"Hey those movies are sad and you know it"said Huggy
"Okay, Im gonna give them a piece of my mind"said Player turning around but immediately held back by Poppy
"And ruin everyone else's fun? We can handle it when we get back to the house but as of right now just relax and let's celebrate over the fact that there's a home for Mommy"said Poppy
"Thanks dear"said Mommy
"Sigh, I guess you're right... I'm gonna have to punish DogDay to I'm guessing"said Player taking another sip of their drink
"Well do you encourage bad behaviour?"said Poppy
"Can I at least water down his punishment?"said Player
"Hey it's your decision"said Huggy
"I'd say so, standing up for someone is always something to encourage as long as it's in a positive way"said Mommy
"Thank you Mommy"said Player
"Hey CatNap, isn't it strange that DogDay isn't here?"said Crafty
"Yeah... but I'm sure he has his reasons"said CatNap
"I'm worried that something might've happened to him"said Bobby
"He'll be fine, he can handle himself"said CatNap
"Hope you're right"said Crafty
After everyone ate and played a few games they decided to head back home, once they were there everyone went outside to play which made CatNap want to go upstairs as he wasn't in the mood for most of the groups crap but before he opened the door to his room he heard a door creak open from behind him
"CatNap? Is that you?"said DogDay rubbing his sleepy eyes
"Hey Sunshine, you just wake up?"said CatNap
DogDay didn't respond and just walked up to him while his eyes were all droopy
"You okay? You're acting kinda weird"said CatNap
DogDay hugged him seemingly out of nowhere
"No one will ever hurt you again"DogDay mumbled
"Oh... you knew?"said CatNap
"From the second you walked in all beat up... I love you Moon"said DogDay
"I love you to Sunshine"said CatNap
