A bit over a week later, Hanna finds herself at her workshop in Rosewood.

Struggling to come up with any new designs for the past couple of days due to her high anxiety while waiting for the genetic test results, which seem to be taking longer than expected, she decides to get on with it and bring one of her already sketched dresses to life.

Sitting at her desk, she's very focused on applying some gems to a corset when her phone makes a notification sound. Immediately dropping what she's doing, she grabs her phone, her heart racing as she sees it's an email from the clinic. She's been calling there for four days almost in a row, with the weekend in between, to ask for her results, only to be told that they weren't ready yet.

Opening the email, she's met with a short message stating that the test results came back normal, with no genetic conditions detected. Additionally, the email mentions that her doctor wishes to see her again in a month for further prenatal checkups and that she can find all the detailed information in the attached file.

Hanna "I'll be right back, guys." She tells Lisa and Anna, who are engrossed in their own tasks, before making her way down the stairs.

She then steps out onto the street, seeking some privacy away from the hustle and bustle of her store, and gives Caleb a call. It takes several rings for him to answer, but he finally does.

Caleb "Hey! What's going on?" He asks immediately, as Hanna typically texts unless it's urgent.

Hanna "Hey! Everything's fine. I just received an email from the clinic with the test results…"

Caleb "Oh, finally! What does it say?"

Hanna "I haven't opened the results yet. I was hoping we could do it together. But the email said that everything is normal and it didn't detect any genetic conditions."

Caleb "Well, that's a relief." He says, a smile audible in his voice.

Hanna "Yeah… are you busy right now? Can I come to your office so we can take a look together?"

Caleb "Sure, come on over, babe."

Hanna smiles. "I'll be right there. I'm anxious as fuck." She chuckles.

Caleb grins. "Hurry up, then. I'll be waiting, probably just as anxious as you..."

Hanna "See you in five." She says, still smiling, before ending the call.

/

Some time later, maybe more than five minutes but not too long, Hanna enters Caleb's office, finding the door partially open.

Hanna "Hey!" She greets him with a wide smile, closing the door behind her.

Caleb "Hey, Haleb baby's mama!" He playfully greets her back from his chair, as they've been calling each other things like that lately, just as a part of their playful banter and in-jokes.

Hanna chuckles. As he leans back from his desk, she naturally settles onto his lap.

Hanna "Ready?" She asks, already holding her phone, while Caleb takes the opportunity to plant a couple of kisses on her neck. His arms wrap around her waist.

Caleb "Ready." He confirms. "Let's find out more about our tiny bean."

Hanna takes a deep breath as she opens the attached file from the email. "Here we go."

Their eyes quickly skim the document, scanning for key information. The results are full of technical medical concepts they don't fully grasp. Hanna continues scrolling, hoping to find something comprehensible.

Caleb "Oh my god, Han!" He says excited, tightening his grip around her waist.

Hanna "What?" She asks, still focused on the screen.

Caleb "Right here." He points. "We are having a baby girl."

Hanna's eyes widen, her lips curling into a huge smile. She lets out a soft gasp. Her grip on the phone tightens momentarily as she looks up at Caleb, her expression a mix of excitement and disbelief. Then, she throws her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug, her laughter filling the room. "We are having a girl!"

Caleb is speechless, so he simply hugs her back, his smile matching hers, lighting up his face with joy.

They remain in their hug for a couple of minutes, no need to talk, both of them overwhelmed by beautiful feelings.

When Hanna pulls away from the hug, her face is streaked with tears.

Hanna "Gosh, this is like the twentieth time I've cried in less than a week." She says, wiping her happy tears.

Caleb "Twentieth? I'd say thirtieth…" He chuckles. "You even cried because you couldn't find the shoes you wanted to wear this morning."

Hanna sighs. "It wasn't about the shoes. I didn't want to change my entire outfit again to match a different pair."

Caleb "Oh, that makes so much sense." He teases her.

Hanna "Don't make fun of me. I'm making your daughter inside of my freaking body."

Caleb chuckles. "You are totally right, I'm sorry." He pecks her lips. "My daughter… I'll be a little girl's dad…" He says, still unable to believe it.

Hanna grins. "Are you happy?" She asks, running her hand through his hair.

Caleb "I'm beyond happy… I'm overwhelmed with happiness. Actually, I'm reaching a whole new level of happiness."

Hanna "Yeah, me too… I could use a quiet day though. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster."

Caleb "We just need some days to take all this in, that's all."

Hanna nods.

Caleb "I love you." He kisses her forehead.

Hanna "I love you more, Haleb baby girl's hot daddy."

Caleb chuckles, initiating a loving kiss. Hanna closes her eyes, her hands cupping his cheeks, holding him to her mouth as she kisses him back.

Hanna's phone starts ringing, interrupting their intimate moment.

Hanna "It's Leo." She tells Caleb, checking her phone.

Caleb "Go ahead."

Hanna "Hey, Leo. What's the emergency?... Who?... Oh my god! Yes, yes! Tell her I'll be there tomorrow… Yes, of course you can give her my number… Sure! Oh my god, I'm so excited!... Great! I'll see you tomorrow, Leo! Thank you!" She chuckles. "Bye!"

Caleb "You're going to New York tomorrow?"

Hanna "Yeah!" She says, still smiling. "Emma Stone needs a couple of dresses, and her stylist wants to meet up with me tomorrow. She asked to meet me in person, babe!"

Caleb grins. "That's awesome, Han!"

Hanna "Yeah… Gosh, I won't be able to sleep tonight. Too many emotions for just one day."

Caleb "I'll be happy to help you get sleepy." He smirks and raises an eyebrow before starting a new kiss.

A couple of days later.

Hanna and Caleb's anniversary day.

It's the afternoon, and Hanna is at her New York workshop.

Hanna "And for this one here, you should use that black velvet fabric we bought together a few weeks ago, with an invisible zipper, also black, of course." She instructs Leo, who takes notes diligently.

They are sitting at a very large desk in an office that Leo occupies most of the week, sharing it with Hanna on the days she comes to New York. They are reviewing Hanna's newest designs, which Leo's team will bring to life during the following week.

Hanna "And here's the last one." She hands him another sketch. "This one is a-"

Leo "Wait!" He interrupts her. "I thought we were saving the velvet fabric for the fall-winter season collection." He reminds her, recalling how Hanna fell in love with the fabric despite knowing it wouldn't be needed immediately and decided to buy it anyway for later.

Hanna "Yes, we're not putting this dress on sale until fall. But the inspiration for this design just came to me the other day, and it wouldn't hurt to start getting a few dresses ready for then."

Leo looks at her puzzled. "But we're barely in spring, Han, and we still have some dresses left to make from the designs you brought last week for this season."

When it comes to Hanna's exclusive-design line, they don't exactly plan that far ahead. They usually start working on the next season's dresses at the workshops about a month and a half before. Even though Hanna sometimes designs dresses that don't exactly fit the season, she keeps them to herself until it's the right time, as they have other priorities. Another completely different thing is the non-exclusive line that is mass-produced in China. Hanna and Leo usually work on that collection and send the designs over there with enough anticipation, usually about 6-7 months before the season begins, for them to produce the dresses in time so the shipments start arriving a few weeks before each season, ready for sale.

Hanna "Okay, then. Save it for later. You manage your team here and the designs they work on as you please. But I want to start planning ahead, and that includes leaving you designs and instructions for fall-winter." She points to the last sketch she handed him. "Actually, that's a mix of lace and velvet design for fall too. I'll start bringing you many designs like this from now on, but I don't really care if you don't start making them right away. I want to make sure I leave you enough designs for then, just in case I don't have too much time to design once the baby arrives. So, as I was saying, this is another velvet dress, that I expect that you make with the same fabric as the previous one, but-"

Leo cuts her off. "Um, okay, got it. We can definitely start planning ahead for the fall-winter collection. But, uh, did you just say 'baby'?" He asks, furrowing his brows in confusion.

Hanna's eyes widen. "Oh!" She lets out a little laugh. "Yeah… I…" She chuckles nervously. "I'm supposed to keep it a secret until next week when I get past the first trimester, but…"

Leo grins. "You're pregnant!"

Hanna smiles. "Yes, I am."

Leo "Congratulations, darling!" He remains seated but reaches out to pull Hanna into a hug.

Caleb "I knew you would start spilling the beans behind my back." He says amusedly, entering the office. "Never thought I would catch you red-handed like this." He adds, smiling.

Hanna laughs, pulling away from Leo. "I'm sorry, it just slipped out." She smiles back. "What are you doing here so early? Thought we were meeting up at the hotel later."

Caleb had decided to come with Hanna to New York in the morning and work from their hotel room during the day, in order to avoid having to drive all the way to New York, and then back to Rosewood, in separate cars. So he's been at the hotel since he dropped her off at the workshop in the morning.

Caleb "Yeah, but… we need to be somewhere else, like, right now." He casually says and gazes at Leo. "Hi, Leo! Nice to see you again."

Leo "Hey, Caleb! Congrats to you too!" He greets him back, smiling.

Caleb "Thanks, Leo!"

Hanna "What do you mean we have somewhere to be now? I told you I didn't want any surprises."

Caleb "It's not a surprise, it's something we need to do together."

Hanna "Fine, tell me." She says, still in her chair.

Caleb "Would you just come with me, please?" He insists.

Leo "Just cut him some slack, Han." He intervenes. "Have you gotten bigheaded since Emma Stone goes around wearing your dresses?" He teases her. "Go with him, we aren't doing anything we couldn't leave for a video call another day."

Hanna "Fine." She says, finally standing up from her office chair. "I'll give you a call on Monday." She tells Leo, grabbing her purse. Then she turns to Caleb. "Babe, can you take those bags, please?" She asks him, gesturing to a few garment bags hung on a rack on the side of the office. "I need to take those dresses to the Rosewood store."

Caleb "Sure." He says, already taking them.

Hanna "Be careful, please."

Caleb "I know."

Hanna "Bye, Leo! Have a great weekend!"

Leo "Bye, lovebirds! Have an amazing date!"

/

After getting Hanna's dresses in the trunk of Caleb's car, she walks toward the passenger seat.

Caleb "We are walking, baby. This place is only a few blocks away."

Hanna "Why are you being so mysterious? We said no presents and no surprises." She walks over to him.

Caleb "I know, it's none of that." He takes her hand. "It's just something I thought would be nice to do together." He says as they start walking.

Hanna smiles at him. "But it is a surprise if you don't tell me until we get there."

Caleb "Okay, then it's a surprise. What's the problem?"

Hanna "Nothing, I just wanted you to admit it."

Caleb chuckles. "You're being more of a pain in the ass than ever, Han. I really hope it's just because of the pregnancy and that it goes away soon."

Hanna "Hey!" She uses her free hand to lightly punch Caleb's arm.

Caleb smiles. "So, how was your day? Any new big celebrities interested in your designs?"

Hanna "Nope… it was just a boring day. Yours?"

Caleb "Same."

Hanna "Maybe we could meet up with Lucas and Lizzie tomorrow before heading back to Rosewood…" She suggests.

Caleb "Yeah, but it'd have to be in the afternoon, like for coffee or something. I have plans with Toby and Jason tomorrow night."

Hanna "Oh, having a guys' night?"

Caleb "Jason invited us over to watch the game."

Hanna chuckles. "What game?" She asks amused, as she knows her husband way too well: Caleb's not into watching sports and there's no game he could be interested in.

Caleb chuckles too. "I've no idea. I'm just going for the beer and to hang out with the guys…"

Hanna "And to get away from your pain-in-the-ass pregnant wife, maybe?"

Caleb "Maybe." He smiles, amused.

Hanna "Hey!" She smacks his arm again.

Caleb "Just kidding." He releases her hand and rests his arm over her shoulders instead, pulling her closer to him.

Hanna "Hmm, I guess I'll just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet at home then."

Caleb "Why don't you get together with the girls?"

Hanna "Um… I could, but… I could also use some calm. It's been crazy days, a night in watching a series in my pajamas sounds more like a plan. I can see the girls another time."

They keep chatting until they reach the right place. Releasing Hanna from his grip, Caleb goes ahead and stops right in front of a tattoo studio.

Caleb "Here we are."

Hanna "I'm not getting any more tattoos, babe." She says, right away.

As finger tattoos often do, their 'C' and 'H' have faded after about a year. Well, Hanna's "C" is actually closer to a year and a half now.

Caleb "We aren't getting any new tattoos… I just thought that it would be nice to get our initials touched up… particularly on this special day, seems more meaningful… like…" He pauses, trying to find the right words to describe the meaning of it.

Hanna grins. "Like a reconfirmation of the commitment we made a year ago?"

Caleb "Yeah, just like that. Couldn't have said it better myself. I want my 'H' to look as fresh as the first day."

Hanna's heart swells with affection as Caleb's words hit her. She steps closer, reaching out to gently grab his arm. "Babe! This is actually the cutest thing you could have come up with!" With a smile, she leans in and gives him a sweet kiss, showing him just how much she appreciates his thoughtfulness. It's a simple gesture, but it speaks volumes about the love they share. Letting him surprise her was a good idea after all.

Hanna pulls away, her eyes filled with curiosity. "How did you know?"

Caleb "Know what?" He asks, looking a bit puzzled.

Hanna chuckles. "That this was the tattoo place where I got my 'C' last year."

Caleb laughs softly. "Oh, I guess it was just a coincidence. I looked for the closest tattoo studio near your workshop, and this one had almost five stars on Google, so it was a no-brainer." He explains, gently rubbing her cheek. "Besides, it looks nice and clean… I wouldn't take my pregnant wife to get a tattoo in any dump."

Hanna shoots him another smile.

Caleb takes her hand again, intertwining their fingers. "Let's go inside." He says, leading her towards the entrance.

/

Later that evening.

Hanna "Really, Caleb! You've just broken the no-surprises rule twice." She tells him while walking hand in hand, all dressed up, along a busy street in Manhattan after leaving Caleb's car at a parking lot. He refuses to tell her where they are having dinner.

Caleb "You asked for no surprises because you couldn't handle any more anxiety, but you didn't know I would surprise you anyway, so you weren't expecting anything… What's the problem?"

Hanna "That I haven't prepared anything special for tonight…"

Caleb chuckles. "Don't worry, you've surprised me big time already… a baby for my birthday? Don't you think that's quite a surprise?"

Hanna chuckles too. "Didn't exactly come out as I had planned it…"

Caleb "Can't believe you had been taking expired tests all the time… That's so Hanna Marin…"

Hanna laughs. "It's Hanna Rivers now, you dummy. It's been like that for a year now… That's what we are celebrating tonight."

Caleb grins. "Here we are." He tells her, stopping before a nondescript building entrance.

Hanna "Here?" She asks, staring at the not very attractive entrance.

With a mischievous grin, Caleb opens the door, revealing a dimly lit lobby adorned with modern artwork and plush furnishings.

A host approaches them right away.

Host "Good evening, welcome to Starry Heights Rooftop Bistro. Under what name is your reservation?"

Caleb "Good evening. It's Rivers."

Host "Oh, right here. Happy anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Rivers." She smiles at them. "Go ahead, the elevator is at the back."

Caleb "Thanks." He replies, leading Hanna through the lobby until they find themselves in front of a sleek elevator.

Hanna "How did she know it's our anniversary?" She asks as the doors open.

Caleb "They offer a special experience for anniversary celebrations. I booked us for it. You'll see." He explains as they step inside.

As they ascend to the top floor, Hanna steals glances at Caleb, her anticipation growing with each passing moment.

Upon reaching the rooftop, the elevator doors slide open to reveal a charming al fresco dining area. Twinkling fairy lights adorn the space, casting a warm glow over the intimate setting. There are very few two-people tables, and they are spaced far apart. The skyline of Manhattan stretches out before them, the perfect backdrop to their evening.

Hanna grins. "This is amazing, babe." She tells Caleb, taking a look around.

Caleb "I know… I checked some pics of this place online before making the reservation, but it looks even better in person."

Hanna "Yeah…" She says, looking up at the sky. "How did you know about this place?"

Caleb "A client from the business recommended it to me." He explains, pulling from their joined hands, leading Hanna to a cozy table nestled in a corner of the rooftop terrace.

As they take their seats, the soft strains of jazz music fill the air, adding to the ambiance of the evening.

Hanna "So this is why you were so insistent on making me grab a coat…"

Caleb nods.

Hanna "The view is beautiful…" She says, taking another look from her seat. "So, how's this thing about the anniversary experience?" She asks, looking back to him.

Caleb smiles. "It's a special service they offer for anniversary romantic dinners, here at the rooftop. They have a prepared menu, starter, main course, dessert and toast… and don't worry, they ask if you have special requests or allergies to consider, and I mentioned you were pregnant, so they aren't bringing us any raw food or alcohol."

Hanna grins, taking his hand across the table. "Thanks, baby. Seems like our first anniversary will be just as perfect as our wedding."

Caleb matches her grin. "I'm glad to hear that, that was the idea."

/

Hanna "I'm about to explode, babe…" She tells Caleb, halfway through their very generous portion-for-two dessert.

Caleb chuckles. "Stop eating then."

Hanna "No, it's too delicious… this caramel, and oh, the dark chocolate mousse…" She says, taking another bite. "I feel like I could have an orgasm right here." She adds, savoring the delicious dessert.

Caleb laughs out loud. "Won't be the only one of the night then." He comments, still amused.

Hanna smiles, her mouth still full.

Caleb "Let's make a toast." He proposes, grabbing the non-alcoholic champagne bottle from the ice bucket and pouring their glasses.

Hanna takes her glass and rushes to swallow her last bite.

Caleb raises his glass. "To our first year as a married couple, to our first anniversary of many more, to you, my a-bit-of-a-pain-in-the-ass but still amazing wife and best friend, and to the new tiny addition to our family." He grins.

Hanna smiles too. "Do I have any chocolate in my teeth?" She asks, completely out of the blue.

Caleb chuckles while shaking his head.

Hanna "To everything you just said, except for the pain-in-the-ass part, and to you, my lovey. I love you very much. Happy anniversary, baby."

Caleb "Happy anniversary, Han."

They clink their glasses, both of them wearing their huge smiles that seem to be indelible these days, as they've had many reasons to be happier than ever lately, and then sip up some champagne.

Hanna "If I don't make it to the fun part of our date because I fell asleep after eating so much, it'll be all your fault for taking me to this amazing place with such delicious food." She says, grabbing her fork and loading it with some more dessert. "I can't stop eating." She adds, taking yet another bite.

Caleb smiles. "Well, it's always my fault anyway, no matter what, so…" He shrugs. "But I would really appreciate it if you could stay awake for a few more hours…"

Hanna "Hours, huh?" She smirks. "Here, help me with the dessert then." She says, reaching out to feed him with her own fork.

Caleb smiles again, chewing on the dessert. Hanna's right, it is indeed very good.

Hanna refills their glasses and then stands up. "Come with me, baby." She tells Caleb, taking her own glass and offering her other hand to him.

Caleb takes his glass as well, and taking her hand, he stands up too. Hanna leads him to the parapet of the rooftop where they stand, still holding hands.

Hanna "It's such a beautiful night." She comments, taking another look at the amazing view of New York City.

Caleb "Yeah." He agrees, taking a sip of champagne.

Hanna "This non-alcoholic champagne is pretty good too." She takes a sip as well.

Caleb nods, leaving his glass on top of the parapet for a moment. Then he grabs Hanna's and places it there as well.

Caleb "Come here." He says, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her to him.

Hanna smiles while resting her arms over his shoulders, sticking her body to his. "Thanks for this amazing night, baby."

Caleb "Thank you, for everything." He answers, leaning in.

Hanna smiles yet again, it's like her hundredth smile of the night, and closes the distance between their mouths, connecting their lips into a fresh-champagne-flavored romantic kiss.

Later on.

Hanna emerges from the bathroom of their hotel room, wearing nothing but a very sexy black lace lingerie set she's saved for a special occasion like this. Passing by a full-length mirror, she can't help but steal a glance at herself, not to admire how sexy she looks, but to take a moment to check her stomach.

Hanna "How much longer do you think it'll be until I start showing?" She asks Caleb, standing sideways in front of the mirror, checking her reflection.

Caleb, lying on the bed in just his underwear, props himself up on his elbows to get a better view of her.

Caleb "Woo-ha, Han…" He says upon seeing her, completely ignoring her question.

Hanna grins, turning to him. "I asked you a question." She says, placing her hand on her still flat belly. Then she turns back around to take another look at herself in the mirror, facing it this tame.

Caleb "I've no idea, babe." He finally answers, standing up from the bed and approaching her. "But I can't wait to see you with a baby bump." He stands behind her, placing both of his hands on her stomach. "I'm sure you'll look just as sexy... or even more if that's even possible…" He plants a kiss on her neck.

Hanna "Well, Spencer is a bit over three months and she isn't showing too much either…" She comments, still very focused on the matter, while Caleb seems to be not paying much attention to what she says. "So, it would be at least one more month… But maybe it depends, right? I mean… I could start showing sooner. I'll have to look that up."

Caleb "Uh huh." He says, already busy placing more kisses on her neck.

Hanna smiles, looking at him in the mirror, contemplating his relaxed expression while kissing her skin. She takes her hand to his head and starts caressing his hair.

She's still staring at him when a couple of minutes later, Caleb straightens up and wrapping his arms around her waist, he sticks his body to hers.

Hanna "Mmm… baby." She says, feeling his erection pressed against her butt.

She turns her face to the side, silently asking him for a kiss.

Caleb complies right away, connecting their mouths in a passionate kiss. Hanna kisses him back as she can, as having him standing behind her isn't the best option for a kiss, but still enjoying the different position.

Still kissing, Caleb unwraps one of his arms from Hanna's waist to blindly unhook her bra, only breaking the kiss to take it off.

Caleb "I'll never get over how sexy you are." He whispers into her ear, looking at her in the mirror while cupping her breasts and starting to massage them softly.

Hanna keeps her eyes fixed on the mirror too, shifting from his hands to his face, enjoying his touch and feeling desired.

Caleb "What's up, Han?" He smirks. "You aren't feeling chatty anymore?" He teases her.

Hanna only replies with a smile.

Caleb "Let's see if I can at least get a few sounds from you…" He playfully says, sliding his hand underneath her panties.

Hanna lets out a deep exhale, feeling his touch, but also staring at his hand in her panties. The view alone is such a turn-on.

Caleb "So?" He asks, rubbing his fingers against her.

Hanna moans softly.

Caleb grins. "Do you enjoy watching?"

Hanna nods.

Caleb then decides to stop his touching and uses his hands to remove her panties, pushing them down until Hanna kicks them off. Now fully naked, Caleb gently guides her to stand sideways in front of the mirror, then goes down to his knees. With his mouth at the perfect height and his palms against her legs, he leans in and places teasing kisses on her inner thighs. Hanna's eyes remain fixed on the mirror, watching his every move. He finally buries his mouth against her center, and the pleasure he brings provokes another moan to escape from her mouth.

Hanna "Ahh, baby… Do that thing with your tongue again… please." She asks, her hand running through his hair. Her mouth remains slightly open as she inhales and exhales rapidly.

Caleb complies, but only a few seconds later, he pulls away from her and stands up, wanting to take his time with her and not rush their romantic night.

Hanna's arms wrap around his neck right away, giving him an eager and passionate kiss. Caleb's palms rest against her ass cheeks as he kisses her back.

Hanna "Let's take these off, baby." She tells him, breathless, while pulling his boxers down.

Caleb helps her get rid of his underwear, and once his boxers are tossed aside, Hanna positions him in front of the mirror, standing behind his back. She reaches down, cupping her fingers around his length.

Hanna "Your turn to enjoy the view now…" She starts stroking him, moving her hand up and down very gently. "Feels good?"

Caleb "You're the best, baby." His voice already sounds uncontrolled and raspy.

Hanna chuckles, adding her other hand as well to touch him better, earning a gasp from him.

But as good as Hanna's hands always feel on him, Caleb gently removes them and turns around after a little while, needing her closer, needing more connection, needing another kiss. And Hanna happily welcomes him, her arms enveloping his neck again as they kiss, his hands running up and down on each side of her body, from her hips to her ribs and back.

Caleb "Any special requests for tonight?" He whispers into her ear.

Hanna smiles against his cheek. "Yeah, actually… We could try that sitting position I like." She presses a kiss against his jawline. "You know, we won't be able to do it that way once my belly starts growing…"

Caleb nods. "I like that one very much too." He says, gently pushing her hair behind her shoulder, clearing her neck, and leaning in to place more kisses there.

Hanna closes her eyes for a moment, but Caleb pulls away from her neck too soon for her liking and takes her hand, leading her to the bed. She doesn't complain, she knows there will be a lot more kissing. Actually, the reason she likes the position she just requested so much is that it allows them to look each other in the eye and kiss a lot while making love. And the best part? Caleb's hands remain free for him to do anything he wants to her.

Letting go of her hand, Caleb sits down in the middle of the bed, and Hanna follows him, taking her place in between his legs, facing each other, her thighs on top of his, her butt on the mattress, for now.

Caleb "Great choice, baby." He tells her, wrapping his arms around her lower back and pulling her closer. Their crotches come into contact as he holds her against himself.

Hanna smiles and placing her palms on the back of his head, she pulls him to her mouth. Their tongues engage in a passionate kiss. Caleb's hands move down to her ass as they kiss, gently pulling her up a little, encouraging her to connect their bodies. And Hanna fulfills his request, needing that connection as much as he does.

A gasp from Caleb and a moan from Hanna interrupt their kiss for a moment while Hanna starts with very subtle hip movements as her body adjusts to him.

Caleb "So?" He asks her, out of the blue, while moving his mouth to her neck.

Hanna "So what?" She responds with another question.

Caleb smiles against her skin and presses an open-mouthed kiss there. "Did you keep your promise?" He kisses her there again before raising to look at her. "Do you love me more than a year ago?" He asks, his eyes staring deeply into hers.

Hanna smiles, finding it extremely cute that after a whole year, he remembers that part of her vows very well, where she promised to love him more every day.

Hanna nods, their eyes still locked together. "Can't you feel how much I love you?" She replies, accompanying her words with slightly faster and deeper hip movements.

Caleb nods, his palms start to caress her back softly, running them up and down, as he remains looking into her eyes.

Hanna "Do you?" She asks too. "Love me more?"

Caleb's expression remains serious and relaxed, lost in the pleasure she's making him feel. "Love you with my life, Han."

Hanna's eyes shut, her arms resting around his shoulders as she quickens her pace just a bit. Caleb admires the sexy expression on her face, a mix of concentration and pleasure, captivated by her perfect features, and overwhelmed with love. He can't help but lean in to reconnect their lips in another heartfelt kiss.

They keep making love, enjoying themselves for a long while, as Hanna relaxed pace allows them to take their time. However, she reaches a point where her body starts to feel tired, and her inner thighs indicate that they won't hold on much longer. So, she decides to leave behind the slow movements and the kissing to give their bodies final relief. Placing her hands on Caleb's shoulders for stability, she accelerates her movements. Caleb decides to contribute as well: unwrapping his arms from her body, he pulls back slightly so their bodies aren't stuck to each other anymore. Using one of his hands, he starts to rub her sweet spot, causing her eyes to shut again.

Hanna's moans begin to fill their hotel room, and in just a matter of seconds, electricity shoots through her body.

When her eyes open again, Caleb knows it's his cue to leave her most sensitive part alone.

Caleb "Let me take it from here, baby." He tells her, noticing her fatigue.

Hanna nods and moves away from him. Getting under the covers, she settles into a pillow. Caleb positions himself on top of her and reconnects their bodies, finding Hanna extremely wet now. Her legs wrap around his body as he resumes thrusting. Moving at the perfect rapid pace for himself and feeling Hanna's mouth all over his neck and collarbone, pushes Caleb to his edge in only a couple of minutes as well. A little after, he finally collapses onto Hanna after an amazing and relieving release. His arms remain wrapped around her lower back as he hugs her.

Hanna relaxes her legs, but her arms remain around his neck, hugging him back.

Only a few seconds later, Caleb is about to move away, but Hanna stops him.

Hanna "Don't." She says, hugging him tighter. "I wanna fall asleep just like this. Stay inside."

Caleb smiles at her cute request. "Okay, let's just switch positions then… I don't wanna crush you." He says, rolling over so that Hanna ends up on top of him.

Hanna closes her eyes, feeling very comfortable on top of his body. "Night, baby."

Caleb "Night, Han." He says back, pulling up the covers over her. "Sleep tight." He adds before reaching out for the bedside lamp. With the lights off, his arms rest back on Hanna's back.

The next morning, Caleb wakes up abruptly when Hanna jumps out of bed and rushes into the bathroom. It takes him a couple of seconds to react, but he finally stands up from the bed too and heads into the bathroom to check on her, as Hanna left the door wide open after rushing in. He finds her vomiting into the toilet.

Going back to the bedroom, he grabs the shirt he wore the night before and returns to the bathroom.

Caleb "Seems like morning sickness finally caught up with you…" He comments upon seeing that even though Hanna's still crouching by the toilet, she's stopped throwing up now.

Hanna "Hmm… it's weird now that I'm about to get past the first trimester. I think I just ate too much last night." She answers as Caleb helps her put on his shirt.

Caleb smiles. "So it's my fault, I guess, for taking you to that tasty food place." He playfully says.

Hanna "Either way, it's your fault… you were the one who knocked me up, so…" She shrugs.

Caleb chuckles. "In my defense, I didn't even know we were making a baby."

Hanna is about to fire back, but her body keeps her from doing so as she feels the urge to vomit again. Holding her own hair back, she turns back to the toilet and throws up once more.

Caleb simply crouches down too and rubs her back.

Hanna takes another pause and straightens up again, reaching out for some toilet paper.

Caleb "Is there anything I could do to help?" He kindly asks.

Hanna shakes her head. "Actually, I could use some privacy."

Caleb nods, standing up. "Just give me a shout if you need anything, okay?"

Hanna "I will." She says, appreciating that he doesn't insist on staying with her.

Caleb "I'll leave the door slightly open, okay? Just in case you need me."

Hanna "Okay." She confirms, before turning back to the toilet.

Feeling better and after brushing her teeth, about twenty minutes later, Hanna joins Caleb in bed again.

Caleb "Are you feeling better?"

Hanna nods, making herself comfortable on her pillow. "Thanks for your shirt, by the way… throwing up by the toilet completely naked wasn't very dignified."

Caleb shoots her a smile. "No problem." He presses a kiss to her forehead.

Hanna "Thank god I didn't text Lucas. I'm not in the mood for any plans. I just want to go home."

Caleb "Hmm… how about we wait a little longer before heading back to Rosewood? Just in case you feel sick again?"

Hanna "Yeah… I could use some more sleep anyway." She agrees, closing her eyes.

Caleb "Have some rest, babe." He pecks her lips. "I'll take a shower."

Hanna "Okay."

It's the afternoon, and Hanna and Caleb have been back in Rosewood since noon. After picking up Chocolate from Ashley's place, they drove straight back home and have been there since. Or, at least Hanna.

Hanna wakes up from yet another nap, and after staying in bed for a few minutes, scrolling through her phone, she finally gets up.

Hanna "Hey, Chocolate!" She greets the dog with a slight lack of enthusiasm as he eagerly shows up when she opens the bedroom door and steps into the hallway.

Heading downstairs, and not finding Caleb there, she decides to take a look out the window and notices that his car isn't in the driveway.

Hanna "Seems like we've been left alone, buddy." She tells Chocolate, who follows her into the kitchen.

Feeling hungry now, Hanna decides to fix herself a sandwich, her first meal of the day, as she has refused to have lunch at noon, still feeling a bit sick, and heads to the living room to watch some TV while eating. Chocolate lies down on the floor next to her.

She regrets that sandwich shortly after finishing it, when she ends up throwing up again.

Back on the couch, almost two hours later, Hanna hears the front door, and then Caleb finally shows up in the living room.

Caleb "Oh, you're feeling better!" He says, grinning, upon seeing the empty plate on the coffee table, a sign that she's had something to eat.

Hanna doesn't respond.

Caleb goes to sit on the edge of the couch where Hanna is lying. "What are you watching?" He asks, taking a look at the TV screen.

Hanna "I'm in a bad mood." She warns him right away.

Caleb "Oh, okay." He stands up again. "I'll just..." He looks at her, then shifts his eyes to Chocolate. "Let's go out for a walk, buddy."

Chocolate looks at him, then at Hanna, and after seeing that Hanna doesn't move a muscle, he ignores Caleb and rests his head back on the floor.

Caleb turns around and goes to get the dog's leash. Then he comes back to the living room, leashes Chocolate, and forces him up, finally getting him to follow him to the front door to leave.

/

About an hour later, as Caleb is arriving home from his walk with Chocolate, Spencer's car pulls into their own driveway, and she and Toby get out.

Toby "Hey, bud!" He waves at Caleb.

Caleb "Hey!" He stops walking when he sees Toby approaching. "Hey, Spence!" He greets her too as she opens the rear door to get Finn.

Spencer "Hi, Caleb!" She yells back.

Toby "Wanna go together to Jason's?" He asks as he reaches Caleb.

Caleb "Sure! Are you leaving now?"

Toby "I have to take a shower first. Give me ten minutes."

Caleb "Sure."

Finn "Hey, unca Caweb!" He comes running from behind Toby.

Caleb "Hey, buddy! How are you doing?"

Finn "Hi, choc-wit!" He greets the dog as well, petting his head.

Spencer "I'm going inside, Tob!" She lets her husband know from their front door, gesturing toward Finn.

Toby nods at her, then turns back to Caleb. "Okay, come over in ten. We are going in my truck."

Caleb "Perfect."

Toby "Let's go, Finnie." He tells her son, taking his little hand.

Finn "Wanna pay wid Choc-wit." He protests.

Caleb "It's okay, leave him with me. I'm going to your place in a few minutes anyway."

Toby "Thanks!" He pats Caleb's shoulder. "Be good with Caleb, son."

Finn nods, still petting Chocolate who has sat down.

Toby turns around and heads back to his house.

Caleb "Lets go inside, Finnie."

Finn "Can I hold Choc-wit, pwease, unca Caweb?" He extends his little hand toward Caleb, indicating his desire to take the leash, looking up at him with big, hopeful eyes.

Considering that they are only a few steps away from the door, Caleb decides to allow the little kid to take the leash.

Caleb "Sure, buddy." He says, carefully passing the leash to him. "Just let go of it if Chocolate pulls too much, okay?"

Finn nods with a happy smile lighting up his face, taking the leash with both his little hands.

Finn "Le' go, Choc-wit." He commands Chocolate, and the dog actually complies, standing up.

Caleb chuckles to himself. "Easy, Chocolate!" He orders too, not wanting him to rush toward the front door and drag the little kid along.

But Chocolate's always been particularly careful around the kids, and he slowly walks by Finn's side toward the front door. Caleb follows closely just in case.

Caleb opens the front door, and the three of them step inside.

Caleb "Good job, Finnie!" He congratulates the little kid, who is showing a proud smile. "Lets unleash him now."

Finn hands back the leash to Caleb.

After releasing Chocolate, they head to the living room, where Finn immediately spots Chocolate's ball and rushes to pick it up. Caleb watches the pair interact as always: Finn tosses the ball, and Chocolate catches it. Their game never seems to get old, as Finn responds with the same amazed smile each time the dog drops the ball at his feet so he can throw it again.

Caleb "I'll go let auntie Hanna know that we're back, okay, Finnie?" He tells the kid. "Don't touch anything, and be careful where you throw that ball. I'll be right back."

Finn nods, picking up Chocolate's ball once again.

Caleb goes upstairs and checks their bedroom. He finds Hanna there, sitting on the bed, crying silently.

Caleb "Hey…" He says softly. "What's wrong?"

Hanna "Nothing." She wipes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

Caleb assumes that she isn't crying for any important reason, as it's been happening a lot lately. "Is there anything I can do?" He asks concerned, approaching her, completely willing to help despite his assumption that the reason for her tears might not be substantial.

Hanna shakes her head.

Caleb "Look, I have Finnie downstairs on his own. Gotta go back there. But I'll be right back." He kisses her forehead before leaving the bedroom.

/

Some minutes later, Caleb leaves his house again with Finn.

Caleb "Don't run, buddy." He tells the kid who rushes toward his own house. "You could trip."

As the well-behaved kid Finn is, he listens to Caleb and slows down his pace.

Reaching the Cavanaughs' house, Caleb is about to ring the doorbell, but Finn pulls on his jeans to get his attention.

Finn "Me, unca Caweb!" He says, extending his arms to Caleb, letting him know that he wants to ring the doorbell himself.

Caleb picks him up and Finn presses the little button himself.

Spencer "Hey! Look who's back!" She grins at her son, taking him from Caleb's arms and kissing his cheek noisily. "Come in, Caleb. Toby's almost ready." She moves to the side.

Caleb "Actually… I don't think I'll go to Jason's. Just came over to return the little one."

Spencer "Oh, what's wrong?" She asks him, putting Finn back down on his feet.

Caleb "Hanna isn't feeling too well." He explains, as Finn disappears into the house.

Spencer "What's going on?"

Caleb shrugs. "Just her mood swings again."

Spencer "Oh, poor Han. Her hormones are giving her a hard time."

Caleb nods. "Yeah… I don't even know what to do to help, and she'll probably ignore me until we go to sleep, but anyway, I can't just leave."

Spencer nods.

Caleb "See you around, Spence!" He says and turns around to leave.

Spencer "Wait!"

Caleb turns back to her.

Spencer "I'll stay with Han. You go to Jason's."

Caleb "Oh, no! Don't worry, Spence. It's fine."

Spencer "Come on, I have no plans anyway." She insists. "And I might be able to help Hanna a little, or at least I could try."

Caleb "You sure?"

Spencer gives him a kind smile. "You'll have to take Finn with you to Jason's."

Caleb "Yeah, of course."

Spencer "Tell Toby to take my car instead of his truck. I want Finn safe in his seat."

Caleb nods. "Sure."

Spencer "Okay, come in." She moves to the side again.

Once Caleb enters the house, Spencer takes her keys, the spare keys to Hanna and Caleb's house that they keep, and her phone.

Spencer "Bye, Caleb!"

Caleb "Bye, Spence. Thanks a lot, really."

Spencer smiles. "No problem. I'm happy to be there for my friend."

Caleb smiles back.

/

Spencer "Hey, Han… Can I come in?" She asks, peeking through the door, and seeing Hanna curled up in a ball on the bed, facing away.

Hanna "Uh huh."

Spencer enters the bedroom and climbs onto the bed, lying down next to her. Opting not to ask her any questions, she simply hugs her from behind.

Hanna "Did Caleb send you?" She asks after a little while.

Spencer "Nope. He just came over to bring Finn back and let Toby know he would stay home. But I told him to go to Jason's and that I'd stay with you. Is that okay with you?"

Hanna "Uh huh."

They remain silent for some long minutes until Hanna speaks again.

Hanna "You could have warned me that being pregnant sucked so much." She suddenly says, rolling over to look at her.

Spencer smiles tenderly while moving away from her. "Well, it surely has its downsides, Han… but you're saying that now because you are upset."

Hanna "Yeah, and I'm not even sure about what… Doesn't this happen to you? That you get sad, angry, emotional, or in a bad mood for no reason?"

Spencer "Nope. Not on this pregnancy at least, maybe with Finnie's sometimes. Anyway, not all pregnancies are the same, Han, so what you're going through is perfectly normal and it's okay if you feel emotional. Not every woman goes through the same symptoms. It can also be a whole different experience for the same woman during different pregnancies. I mean, Finnie's pregnancy was much harder for me than this one."

Hanna "Can't even imagine what it was like for you, Spence. I mean, you and Toby… if I had been pregnant during that stupid break Caleb and I took, I would have dehydrated from so much crying."

Spencer "It's true that the fact Toby and I split up in the middle took a huge toll, but that's not exactly what I meant. I feel more at ease now because I kind of know what to expect. First pregnancies can be a bit scary. So, if that's what's happening to you, I understand."

Hanna "No, it's not. I mean, yes, I've got like a million questions, doubts and decisions to make, like, do I want a natural birth or scheduled C-section, should I breastfeed or not, and stuff like that, and it is scary. But these emotions don't come from that. I just feel upset right now for no reason."

Spencer "Is there anything I could do to help you?"

Hanna sighs. "Not really... I was planning on yelling at Caleb a little because he disappeared almost all afternoon when I wasn't feeling okay. But... I guess he got away with it. I don't feel angry at him anymore."

Spencer chuckles. "Don't be so hard on him. Guys are clueless about what we go through, some of them are naturals and feel comfortable playing their role from the beginning, but some others can find it a little hard to find their place and the right way to be there for us. But Caleb means well, keep that in mind next time you feel like yelling at him."

Hanna "Yeah, I know. He's been great so far. It's just me and my stupid mood swings, I guess. Only a simple question or comment from him when I'm angry pisses me off even more. But… just as much as I want him as far as possible when I'm in a bad mood, I need him with me when I'm not, which is most of the time. Having him around makes me feel better... Well, even when I'm in a bad mood wanting him to go away, I still want him to stay. Gosh, I probably sound like a lunatic, don't I?"

Spencer smiles. "You should tell him that, Han. I know it's a trite phrase, but communication is the key. You need to be able to tell him exactly what you need because the poor guy isn't a seer and he can't be guessing around."

Hanna "Yeah, I know."

Spencer "And a whole pregnancy is too much time to be having misunderstandings for not speaking out your thoughts and feelings."

Hanna "I know… Caleb and I have learned it the hard way…"

Spencer nods. "Same here for Toby and I… but let me quote another trite phrase, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."

Hanna smiles at her.

Spencer "Oh, did I just see a smile?" She grins.

Hanna "I'll say to you the same as I say to Caleb, don't push it."

Spencer laughs. "Poor Caleb. I feel for him."

Hanna "Hey!" She smacks her arm softly.

Spencer smiles. "Anyway, going back to the doubts you mentioned before, I think that you should leave it to your doctor to decide whether it's better for you to have a natural birth or a C-section. And about breastfeeding, that's entirely up to you, Han. You should choose what's more practical for you, or what you feel more comfortable with. Either way is okay. Breastfeeding doesn't make you a better mother, and choosing formula doesn't make you a worse one. It is true that a lot of benefits come with breastfeeding and I personally chose to do it with Finnie and I'll do the same with this other baby. But Ali and Emily gave formula to the twins and they are perfectly healthy little girls. Aria tried breastfeeding and it didn't work out for her and Dantie, and that's okay too."

Hanna nods. "Thanks for being here, Spence! You don't know how much I was needing this talk." She takes Spencer's hand.

Spencer smiles once more. "Anytime, Hanna Banana."

Hanna "You are showing a little already." She suddenly comments, staring at Spencer's stomach.

Spencer "Yeah, I am…" She responds, rolling onto her back so Hanna can get a better view of her growing baby bump. "Wanna order something to eat? Pizza, maybe?" She asks Hanna, resting her hand on her belly.

Hanna only responds with a disgusted face.

Spencer "You don't want pizza? I never thought I'd see the day when Hanna Marin rejected pizza." She chuckles. "You're really pregnant." She jokes.

Hanna grins. "First of all, it's Hanna Rivers. And secondly, it's not because of the pregnancy. I just don't feel good in my stomach."

Spencer "But you need to eat something."

Hanna "I've got instant soups. I'll have one later. Order pizza just for yourself."

Spencer "Those soups aren't healthy, Han… The Grill has some good soups. I'll order from there. Soup for two!"

Hanna smiles. "Four, actually."

Spencer chuckles. "Yeah…"

/

After dinner.

Hanna and Spencer are just chilling on the couch after having their soups. The empty soup cups are still on the coffee table along with a couple of empty glasses and used napkins. Chocolate resting on the floor nearby.

Hanna's mood has been back to normal since her talk with Spencer earlier.

Spencer "So, are you meeting Emma Stone in person?"

Hanna chuckles. "Nope… I just met her stylist. She took three of my dresses the other day and then contacted me to let me know that Emma had picked one of the dresses for some awards in a couple of weeks. So, they returned the other two dresses, she'll wear the one she picked out, credit me through social media posts and interviews, and then return that dress after the event. Just like Jennifer Lawrence did some months back, remember? And well, those other lesser-known artists who have been wearing my designs." She explains.

Spencer grins. "That's so great, Han!"

Hanna grins too. "I know!"

Spencer "Well, maybe you'll get to meet some big star when they need to come over to your store for a fitting or something."

Hanna "Yeah, I might…"

They suddenly hear the front door.

Spencer "Caleb?" She asks Hanna, confused, as it's still early for him to be back.

Hanna shrugs.

Spencer "The game they were watching must still have more than an hour to go…" She comments.

Hanna "Well, if it's not him, then some stranger must have the key to my house." She jokes.

Caleb "Hey there!" He shows up, with Finn in his arms.

Spencer "Hey! What are you doing back so early?"

Caleb "Someone was missing his mommy…" He says, putting Finn down on his feet.

As Finn rushes toward Spencer, Caleb approaches Hanna.

Caleb "And I was missing my girl…" He adds, leaning down to peck Hanna's lips.

Hanna shoots him a smile when he pulls away.

Spencer "Are these gummy bears?" She asks Caleb, settling her son onto her lap and gesturing toward the little pack Finn's holding.

Caleb "Yeah, he promised to brush his teeth super, super well before going to bed, right buddy?"

Finn nods eagerly.

Spencer smiles. She usually watches so that Finn doesn't consume sugar in the last hours before bedtime, but… making an exception won't hurt. Besides, Finn is already happily shoving a couple of gummies into his mouth.

Caleb "This is for you." He hands Spencer a chocolate. "Thanks for covering for me tonight. Seems like you did a way better job than I would have."

Spencer "Oh! Thanks, Caleb!" She says, accepting the chocolate with a grin.

Then he turns to Hanna.

Caleb "And this one is for you." He hands a chocolate to her as well. "Thanks for… going through all this so we can have a baby in the end."

Hanna grins at him, taking the chocolate that she can't eat anyway.

Spencer "Oh my god, you're such a sweetheart!"

Hanna makes some room for him on the couch, moving closer to Spencer. "Come here."

Caleb "Am I not interrupting any important convo?" He asks, sitting down.

Hanna "No, we were just talking about Emma Stone wearing my design." She responds, leaning on his side. "Hey, little gummy bear eater, you haven't said hello to me!" She tells Finn, reaching out to caress his hair. "Am I no longer your fav, now that you hang out with the guys? Is uncle Caleb buying you gummies to win you over?"

Finn looks up at her, not quite grasping what she means, so he simply takes a gummy bear and offers it to her.

Hanna smiles tenderly. "Oh, you are so sweet! I don't want your gummies, baby." She says, sitting up a little and kissing his cheek. "Just wanted a kiss." She says and leans back on Caleb's side, resting her hand on his leg as he rests his arm over her shoulders.

Spencer "I would like to have a gummy bear…" She tests her son just to see if he'd share one with her as well.

Finn takes another gummy and offers it to Spencer, holding it out toward her mouth.

Spencer "It's confirmed, I've got the best son in the world." She tells Hanna and Caleb and accepts the gummy. "Thank you, Finnie." She places several kisses on his cheek.

Hanna "What are you doing back so early?" She asks Caleb.

But he doesn't answer because both their gazes shift immediately to Finn, who has just climbed off Spencer's lap and approached Chocolate, who is asleep on the floor.

Finn "Wanna gum-my, choc-wit?" He asks, crouching down before the dog and offering him a gummy bear from the palm of his little hand.

Chocolate lifts his head and very delicately takes the candy from the kid's hand with a lick. Hanna relaxes, seeing that the dog acts just as carefully as always around Finn.

Finn chuckles and with a very delighted smile, he turns to his mom. "He dwooled my han, mommy."

Spencer smiles back at her son. "Let's go wash your hands. Don't give Chocolate any more gummies, baby. Candies aren't good for dogs." She explains while standing up. "Let's save some for tomorrow, okay?" She adds, taking the pack from his hand and leaving it on the coffee table before leading her son to the bathroom.

Hanna looks up at Caleb. "Did you get bored with the game?" She asks Caleb again now that they are alone. "Or was it really because of Finnie?

Caleb "No… I just…" He looks at her too. "I didn't feel right leaving when you weren't okay. The little one just joined me when he heard I was coming back here."

Hanna smiles at him and plants a tender kiss on his lips.

Caleb "I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what to do when you're like that, and Spencer just offered to help, so…"

Hanna "It's fine. Don't worry. We can talk about this later, but if it makes you feel less guilty, I don't know what to do with myself either when I'm 'like that'." She says, using the same words as him.

Caleb smiles. "Aren't you gonna eat your chocolate?"

Hanna smiles slightly. "I'm not feeling well in my stomach yet. Threw up again this afternoon after having a sandwich." She makes a disgusted face.

Caleb "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know."

Hanna nods. "Speaking of chocolate… Did you see how careful Chocolate was with Finnie?"

Caleb "Yeah. They were playing together earlier. I wouldn't have just let Finn approach Chocolate when he was asleep next to you if I hadn't seen how good he was with him today. He's the same as always, Han. He was just being protective of you, but he knows the kids aren't a threat to you. So, we're fine."

Hanna "Uh huh… you've no idea how much happy it makes me feel. I can handle not being able to walk him myself for a while, and he seems to have already accepted the fact that he has to go back to sleep in the hallway, but… having to lock him away when we have people over was awful. This is such a relief…"

Caleb nods in agreement, then leans in, starting a kiss. Hanna takes her hand to his face, kissing him back.

Spencer "Well, guys. We'll just head back home." She announces, coming back with Finn in her arms.

Hanna pulls away from Caleb and turns to her. "Oh, why? It's still early… and we were going to watch that movie you mentioned…"

Spencer "Yes, but… this little guy's getting sleepy, and it seems like you guys could use some privacy."

Hanna "Oh, don't be silly. We've got plenty of privacy all the time." She smiles. "Come here, let's watch that movie. And there's enough room on this couch for Finnie to crash."

Spencer "You sure?"

Hanna nods at her then gazes at Caleb. "Wanna watch the movie with us, babe?"

Caleb shrugs. "Well, I still need to fill the time because I have to go pick Toby up at Jason's later. I kind of took the car and left him stranded. So, I guess I'm in… is this movie too girly, though?"

Spencer "I'm not sure. It's a drama… Just give it a try." She tells Caleb, while making herself comfortable next to Hanna on the couch.

Finn yawns and rests his head against his mother's chest.

Spencer "You didn't use this blanket for… your things on the couch, right?" She asks, carefully choosing her words so the little kid won't understand, while grabbing a blanket from the couch.

Hanna chuckles. "Of course not, Spencer. We're saving that for the dining table." She says, amused, exchanging a mischievous grin with Caleb.

Spencer stares at her.

Hanna laughs. "Who do you think we are?" She picks up the remote. "That blanket's perfectly fine for Finnie to use it."

Spencer shrugs. "Asking just in case." She says, covering her son with the blanket. "You know, you are still kid-free people who have those privileges to do it anywhere."

Caleb "Yeah, but we are also clean people who have a washer, Spence." He adds, amused by Spencer's assumptions.

Hanna "Besides, we've done it on the couch at your lake house too." She keeps teasing Spencer.

Spencer "Ugh, I didn't need to know that."

Hanna chuckles.

Turns out, it was indeed a very girly drama movie. Only about twenty minutes into the movie, Caleb's already decided he's not interested in it. He looks at Hanna, and she seems to be deeply interested and absorbed in the movie, so he shifts his gaze back to the screen and tries to give it another chance. But it doesn't work. He takes a look at Spencer now, and just like Hanna, she's totally immersed in the drama, and Finn in her arms is fast asleep. Gazing back at Hanna, he can't help but lean in and steal a kiss from her.

Hanna "Caleb!" She says, placing her palm on his face and pushing him away. "I'm watching the movie!"

Caleb smiles and leans in to kiss her neck now.

Hanna "Seriously, why don't you just sleep like Finnie?"

Caleb chuckles. "Because I'm not a kid." He whispers into her ear and plants another kiss below it.

Hanna "Doesn't seem so." She says, using her hand to push his face away from her again.

Caleb decides to leave her alone and simply slides his hand underneath her top, placing his palm on her stomach and starts to caress her, brushing his fingertips on her warm and soft skin.

Hanna, still focused on the TV, smiles to herself.

Caleb's gentle caresses continue for another hour. As the credits start showing on the screen, leaving his palm still against Hanna's stomach, he gazes at her and notices that she has become emotional with the sad ending. Switching his eyes to Spencer, he sees that she's in tears as well.

Caleb "Left my house with only one pregnant woman crying, and now I've got two." He comments with a chuckle. "Your hormones are surely to blame because you two can't be crying over such a crappy movie."

Hanna "Shut up and stop talking about our hormones!" She elbows his side. "The movie was just heartbreaking." She adds, wiping her tears with a napkin.

Spencer "Can't believe she just died." She simply says, sobbing a little.

Caleb "Seriously, guys! That was the least credible argument I've ever seen…"

The girls stare at him.

Caleb "For a start, when they meet on that vacation, hook up, catch feelings for each other, but then don't even exchange numbers, that's ridiculous."

Spencer "They lived on opposite ends of the country."

Caleb "It doesn't matter. And then he moves to New York, they run into each other on the subway, of all the millions of people in the city, they just happen to be in the same car, but well, it's a movie, I give you that, but she doesn't want anything to do with him only because she's been dating another guy for just a month? A boring accountant who she doesn't even like that much anyway, but still decides to ignore the guy that blew her mind a year ago over him. That's even more ridiculous!"

Hanna nods, agreeing with him a little on this point.

Caleb "She marries this boring guy, and it takes her two entire years to realize how lame their life together is. She looks up the vacation guy on IG, they hook up again, for like a month, and she ends up pregnant. But oh, wait! Surprise, surprise, it's the accountant's baby, not his. We surely didn't see that coming." He says, sarcastically, making both Hanna and Spencer smile a little. "So the vacation guy decides to disappear, even though he's supposedly in love with her and had told her he would stick around if that was his baby. That's not believable, guys. If he truly loved her, he would have stayed with her anyway, no matter whose baby it is."

Hanna "Really?" She chuckles. "In that case… I have something to tell you, babe…" She places her hand on her stomach and gives him an amused smile.

Caleb chuckles too. "Yeah, very funny, Han." He leans in for a tender kiss. "I'd love to stay and discuss this absurd movie with you guys, but I better get going. The game must be about to finish. Gotta pick up my buddy." He says, pulling away from Hanna.

Hanna and Spencer seem to have both recovered from their emotional moment after Caleb's funny comments about the movie.

Hanna "I'll come with you. I could use some fresh air…" She stands up.

Spencer "Yeah, me too. Let's go for a drive." She says, sitting up with Finn still asleep in her arms. "Let's take my car. You've got the keys, right?"

Caleb "Oh, yes." He says, standing up as well and retrieving Spencer's keys from the pocket of his jeans.

Spencer "Keep them." She says before Caleb has the chance to hand them back. "You're driving."

/

Later that night…

Caleb emerges from the bathroom and turns off the lights, leaving only the bedside lamp on before getting into bed. Shortly after, Hanna joins him, slipping under the covers and immediately embracing him. Lying on her side, she wraps her arm around his torso, slipping it beneath his arm.

Caleb "What's this hug for?" He tenderly asks, holding her by the waist with his upper arm as well.

Hanna "Nothing, just need a hug." She sincerely answers his question, gazing into his eyes with a relaxed expression.

Caleb gently releases his hold on her waist and shifts his hand to her head, softly stroking her hair with his fingers. As he does, he leans in and presses a tender kiss to her forehead.

Caleb "You know you don't have to say anything, right? I'm here for you, always. Just lean on me whenever you need to, okay?"

Hanna's eyes well up with emotion. "Where were you all afternoon? I wanted you here."

Caleb "I was at Ezra's. He needed help with some stuff at the new house, and Toby was busy… and well, you know, the guy doesn't even know how to hold a hammer, so I offered to help. I mean, you were sleeping most of the day anyway. I didn't know you were still feeling sick and throwing up. I would have stayed."

Hanna nods.

Caleb "I'm sorry you are having such a hard time…"

Hanna "It's okay, I just had a bad day… Am I giving you a hard time, though?"

Caleb gives her a soft smile. "Not at all." He says, still caressing her hair. "I told you the other day, and earlier today too, I just don't know what to do when you are upset. I feel like I only make things worse for you."

Hanna "That's not true, Caleb. I want you around as much as possible…"

Caleb nods. "Okay."

Hanna "Can we call off our deal, then? Because I don't want you to ignore me when I'm in a bad mood. I promise I'll do my best to be patient and not snap at you…"

Caleb chuckles. "Of course, babe… and don't worry, I'll take whatever comes my way. It's the last I can do, right?"

Hanna smiles at him.

Caleb pecks her lips.

Hanna "Anyway, it doesn't mean you have to leave your friends just to come back home with me. You should have stayed at Jason's today."

Caleb "Yeah, but I was feeling guilty, Han. You were crying when I left. It didn't feel right, and I didn't even know you were still feeling sick. Wouldn't have left in the first place if I had known."

Hanna "I know." She reaches her hand to the nape of his neck and starts running her fingers through his short hair there. "Just text me next time, okay? We still have some long months to go… we need to take it as easy as possible if we don't want to end up wearing ourselves out…"

Caleb nods.

Hanna "Let's go to sleep now." She yawns. "I'm pretty tired."

Caleb smiles, amused. "You're still sleepy after all those naps you took?" He chuckles. "This little one is truly using up your energy." He adds, getting his arm under the covers to place his hand against her stomach.

Hanna "Yes, she is."

Caleb "Okay, let's go to sleep, then." He kisses her forehead. "I'd like to do something together tomorrow, if you wake up feeling better, of course…"

Hanna nods. "Something like what?"

Caleb "I don't know, maybe we could get Chocolate in the car and go to some quiet place, just the three of us."

Hanna smiles. "Sounds so good… I really hope I feel better tomorrow."

Caleb "Don't worry, if you are not, we'll come up with something else to keep ourselves entertained here at home… maybe start looking up for some nursery furniture…" He suggests, knowing that that is something Hanna would love as well.

Hanna grins.

Caleb leans in, feeling the urge to kiss that big smile of hers. Hanna's grin disappears as her lips become busy kissing him back.
