"I made a mistake," Adolf said to Ruler. He was currently in the church. "I don't want to be involved in this Grail War anymore. Can't you do anything to get me out of it?"

Ruler's violet gaze darkened. "...Are you sure?"

"I am." He's thought it over. Even though he's summoned a Servant, this Grail War involves killing. He's been witness to death before so he doesn't think he can stomach killing someone.

Ruler walked forward so she was right in front of the Silver King, gently but reluctantly taking hold of his right hand. "Very well. I'll still be holding onto your strokes if you change your mind before it's too late. Brace yourself. This will hurt."

"Agh!" Adolf's right arm was ripped off. This Servant just ripped his arm off. "Huh?" At least it felt like it was ripped off. His arm is devoid of even a single wound.

"It's done. Look at your Command Seal." Adolf did as he was told. He saw only the pointed segment of his Dominions Command Seal went unfaded.

"There are fewer strokes?"

"I've left one. Use it to cancel your pact with Caster. But think about it carefully. Once you break the pact I won't just let you reclaim the strokes I took."

"I've already made my decision."

"You only need to concentrate to activate the Command Seal. Then say that your breaking your contract with Caster. You can do it in here instead of directly."

"No. I at least owe Caster by breaking the pact face-to-face."

"Face-to-face..?!" Then Ruler bit her lower lip, turning her face away. "Good luck then...I will let you seek protection in the church after."

Adolf chuckled. "I'm afraid I have to refuse. I still have work. After settling things with Caster I'm going home." He turns his back to her and leaves. He won't be seeing her again.

Outside, Caster materializes in a dust of blue. "Have you finished, Adolf."

"Yeah. Caster, I've decided to stop being a Master."

Caster looked at first like she had just been bitch-slapped then looked down at the stone ground sadly. "So you're breaking your contract with me?"

"Yeah. I've decided I want no part in the Holy Grail War. You should pact with someone else."

"I think you mentioned Daikaku having a lot of mana. He's most likely able to support another Servant...Adolf, I'll ask you to reconsider doing this."

"? Ruler said the same thing. What's the issue?"

Caster's body moved. Adolf stared right at death as the fox ran at him.

"Huh?" He hit the ground, merely having his feet swept out from under him. Caster merely yanked up a lamppost and used that to sweep her Master's feet. It hurt a lot but at least it's better than having his legs cut off.

"A magus gives their pacted Servant the mana they need to remain in the world. If you break the pact I'll eat you to help sustain myself. Are you still going to break the contract?" Caster's words were cold all of a sudden and Adolf suddenly saw her for what she truly is, a living weapon. She'll kill him without hesitation.

"I refuse to fight. Having such a person as your Master will only hinder you. After I break our pact I don't care what you do to me."

"You don't mind being killed? Even if I can't kill you physically I can still eat your soul."

"I think I would like killing someone even less." Adolf's gaze didn't waver for even a second. Sighing, Caster took a few steps back. "Caster?"

"Even if our Path is broken I'll still be able to last a couple hours. That should be enough time for me to find a new Master."

"Alright then." Using his remaining stroke Adolf cancelled the pact.

"You're free now. I have to say your mana was pleasant. I doubt we will see each other again." With that, Caster took a massive leap and was gone from sight. Just like that she's gone. Almost like a mirage.

It was night by the time Adolf reached the bridge to the school island. But there isn't a single person or car crossing the bridge. It's spooky to be honest.

"What a creepy night," Adolf muttered, looking around nervously. Tension was rising in him for seemingly no reason.

"You're all alone I see."

He turns around at the sound of that feminine voice. "Huh?"

It tore off. No warning beforehand, Adolf's right arm was yanked from its socket by the little girl with the light blue hair.

"My Master let me go into the city and I find a partnerless Master. Lucky me!" Her cheerful smile was completely out of place for the given situation.

Adolf could barely hear her over his own screaming. Blood was coming out like crazy and red was splattered on the road like someone dropped a large paint bucket.

The girl opened her yellow eyes. You're a little too loud right now. I'll fix that!"

Still smiling she tore off Adolf's head like popping the head off a doll. Her smile dropped she felt the King's jaw shift against her hands. He wanted to continue screaming but he couldn't now without any lungs. "Huh? You're still alive?" At this point Adolf wished he wasn't immortal. "I guess it doesn't matter! I can still have fun with my new toy!
