Chapter 43
Scourge of Wind Temple
Some soldiers were patrolling the higher parts of Hyrule Castle when they felt the atmosphere become colder, and they asked each other to verify this. One of them then noticed something flying in the air, heading in the castle's direction.
Xander happened to be on one of the castle balconies, and he looked as hard as he could to see what that was. It then dawned to him what it was. "No… Can it be…?"

Approaching in the distance was a large creature resembling a centipede with wings and a blue body seemingly made out of ice. The creature let out a roar as it approached Hyrule Castle and left behind a trail of strong cold wind that covered the ground below in ice and snow.
The soldiers were in shock and panic at the sight of the monster, and Xander said out loud, "Sound the alarm! Warn the king! It's Colgera, the monster sealed within Wind Temple of Nohr!"
"Colgera?" asked a soldier.
Xander nodded. "Yes, it was said that the reason Nohr's weather is the way it is is because of this monster, but our ancestors defeated it and locked it away inside the Wind Temple. The fact that it is free again… Can't it be… father? What have you done…?!"
Nothing stopped Colgera as the monster made its way to the sky above Hyrule Castle. Flying in circles above it, it whipped up a strong snowstorm that made mess for everyone outside the castle at the moment. Soldiers scrambled to remain standing or run indoors, while some tried to get weapons that could be used against the monster.
Some were able to get cannons and large crossbows ready to fire at Colgera, but the strong wind diverted the projectiles most of the time, and those that hit him did not do much other than making the monster grunt a little.
Icicles grew out from the underside of Colgera's body and rained down, causing destruction and even hurting people. Wyvern knights and pegasus knights were already having a hard time trying to take flight in the strong wind, and the icicles only made things worse for them.
King Rhoam was standing on one of the balconies while the chaos happened, with Ade and Cocoa next to him. "Accursed monster! Garon! This is your doing, right? How dare you let loose such monstrosity on Hyrule! This won't stand!" said the king in anger with one arm over his face as he struggled to remain standing.
Ade and Cocoa were trying to get him to enter the castle. "Your majesty! Please get inside for your safety!" Ade told him.
Colgera, spotting the king, swooped down and headed for him with his mouth wide open. The three embraced for the worst when Crown ran in between them and fired from her spear energy blasts into the monster's face rapidly. Colgera cried in pain and swooped up, barely hitting them. As his body moved up, Crown continued to fire at it until he was out of range.
"Please get inside! I will deal with this monstrosity!" Crown told the king, who nodded and went indoor with the two maids.
Crown watched as Colgera swirled around in the air, and then he created icicles that were fired at her. With precise aiming, Crown shot down the incoming icicles and dodged some of them.
Colgera continued to do this when suddenly it was blasted by missiles from below, crying in pain.

"Hmm?" Crown looked down curiously and saw that the missiles came from the yard where Ultrahand creations were made. There, Centi and Exia were seen standing next to the missile launcher tank the former created. They fired the missiles from the vehicle at the monster.
"Yeah! How'd you like that? There's more where that came from!" said Centi with excitement.
Enraged, Colgera swooped down in their direction. As it closed in on them, Centi told Exia to get the Sheikah Slate ready. The latter nodded and pressed the screen on the tablet, and this caused contraptions placed at the sides of the yard to fire missiles at Colgera, striking him in both sides. The monster cried in pain and backed away into the air.
"Haha! Told you there's more where that came from! I built lots of awesome babies with the Ultrahand!" said Centi, showing off the Ultrahand she was currently wearing. "Exia and I even managed to link the babies to the Sheikah Slate we got from the king!"
As Crown watched Colgera fly back into the sky, she noticed a large hole on his body that previously wasn't there. She carefully observed his body as he flew around in the air and noticed that certain parts were thicker, and there appeared to be something purple substance within those thick segments. The hole that was seen on it looked like it once contained the purple substance, and she figured that the missiles might have destroyed that segment.
"Fire!" shouted Centi as she pressed the button on the missile tank to fire more missiles at Colgera. However, Colgera formed a portal in front of himself and disappeared into it before the missiles hit it.
A portal appeared close to the ground, and Colgera came out of it, ramming into the missile tank and destroying it, also sending Centi and Exia flying aside. "Oh no! My baby!" gasped Exia, looking at the destroyed tank.
Colgera made a u-turn and attempted to charge into Exia and Centi, but acting fast, Crown appeared on the scene and swung her lance at Colgera's mandibles, halting the monster in his track. She then pointed her lance at his face and fired energy shots rapidly. Colgera received a number of shots to his face and cried in pain before returning into the air.
As he was ascending, Crown leaped at his body, aiming for one of the segments that contained a purple glow, and thrust her lance at it. Energy shots were fired at the same time, causing that segment to break apart and creating a second hole on Colgera's body. The monster roared in pain as he flew into the air, while Crown fell back down.

She landed close to Centi and asked her, "Can you make something simple that can fly? I need to get into the air and destroy its last segment."
"Sure! Something simple that can fly coming right up!" said Centi as she began using the Ultrahand to bring together the destroyed pieces of the missile tank to build something.
As she was doing, Colgera fired icicles downwards, but missiles fired from contraptions at the yard destroyed them, and some of them even hit Colgera. "Welp, we're out of ammo for those things…" said Exia, looking at the status screen for those contraptions on the Sheikah Slate. "Whatever Crown has planned, it better work..."
"Of course it will work as long as my creations are involved!" said Centi as she showed off to Crown a platform with four propellers at its four corners. "Hope this is what you want!"
Crown stepped onto it and asked, "How does it fl…?" Before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by the propellers spinning and so causing the platform to fly into the air.
"I've managed to link every contraption Centi made to the Sheikah Slate," Exia explained to her. "Now I can remote control them using this, including the one you are riding."
"How useful! The brilliance of both your minds exceed my expectations! You deserve a reward for this!" said an impressed Crown.
"Yeah, yeah… Just do what you want to do now, or else we're all going to die," Exia told her. She used the slate to control the platform and have it fly higher in Colgera's direction.
Crown readied her lance as she got closer and closer to Colgera, who spotted her and began flying in her direction with his mouth wide open. A blast of cold air is shot out of his mouth and towards her, and in response, she held up her hand and formed a yellow force shield shaped like a castle, protecting herself from the attack. She then fired from her lance into the mouth of the monster, causing him to cry in pain and making an upward turn, where it disappeared into a portal.
Crown tried to take aim at the last segment as the monster was disappearing into the portal, but missed. Another portal appeared behind Crown, and Colgera charged out of it. It happened so suddenly that Exia was unable to steer to the side in time, and the platform was hit by Colgera, and Crown fell off. "Darn it! It's not as easy as games make it to be!" said Exia.
Crown looked like she was going to hit the ground, only to fall onto the back of a wyvern piloted by a purple-haired woman. "You all right?" the woman asked her.
"I am fine, and thank you for your assist!" Crown said to her.
"I'm Camilla, captain of the wyvern riders of Nohr. You're one of the chosen heroes, right? Then it is an honor to be able to assist someone of such status!" Camilla said to her.
The wyvern flew, seemingly with a bit of difficulty due to Crown's weight, higher into the air, surpassing Colgera's height. From there, Crown fired from her lance at the last untouched segment of the monster, damaging it but yet destroying it. Colgera roared in anger and flapped his wings hard, generating a large amount of wind that turned into tornadoes in no time, flying in the air around the wyvern.
Camilla took control of her wyvern, trying her best to keep it from getting taken out by the tornadoes. "I'm used to flying in the strong blizzards of Nohr! This is nothing!" she said.
"But even so, you mustn't force yourself into a situation of life and death! I will take it from here! Just catch me in case I miss!" Crown told her.
"What are you going to do?" Camilla asked her, but rather than replying to her, Crown leaped off the wyvern and towards Colgera below. "Wait!"
Crown pointed her lance at Colgera's back as she fell closer and closer towards the last segment, which grew out icicles and fired at her. With precise aiming, she shot down the icicles while continuing to fall towards the monster.
The icicle unable to stop her, Crown landed onto the last segment, plunging her lance deep into it and firing, causing it explode.

Colgera roared loudly and writhed in pain after having the last segment of his body destroyed. It flew higher into the air, while Crown fell off and was caught by Camilla and her wyvern again. Purple smoke began coming out of Colgera's body as the monster cried in agony nonstop, and eventually, he stopped flying and fell down.
"Uh oh… This looks bad…" said a worried Exia.
But Colgera never hit the ground. It suddenly exploded into purple smoke in midair before touching anything.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
With the monster's destruction, the strong wing and blizzard it created began to die down, and the soldiers cheered in excitement over the defeat of the monster.
"I can't believe it…! She actually did it! She defeated Colgera!" said Xander in awe as he watched Crown riding Camilla's wyvern.
King Rhoam, standing on the balcony, laughed and said, "Hohohoho! That's the chosen heroes for you! I never once doubted any of their strengths!
In the present…
"And that is what happened," said King Rhoam as he finished explaining to the heroes who returned from the Forest and Water Temples in regards to why the castle was covered in ice and snow.
"Whoa… I can't believe something like this happened while we were away…" said Link in disbelief.
"Only someone as evil as the Demon King would launch an attack on the castle while the heroes are away!" said Guillotine in anger.
"I'm glad everything turned out all right though…" said Corrin.
Xander stepped forward and lowered his head. "I'm sorry that this happened… Colgera is a monster that the royal family should be keeping an eye on, yet it escaped and caused havoc to Hyrule… I cannot apologize any more than this…"
"You don't have to apologize. It's likely Garon who was responsible for what happened," Corrin told him. "He is the one to blame for this!"
The king looked at Xander and said, "You may not like what I'm going to say after this, but I have decided to take the fight to Garon. We will be invading the kingdom of Nohr, if it is still even a kingdom anymore."
The people present were shocked to hear this. Those who fled from Nohr to this place were the most shocked especially. Even though they had a good reason to leave the country, due to their corrupted king teaming up with the Demon King, they were still shocked and felt unsure about the king of Hyrule wanting to invade Nohr.
"But fear not. The civilians and the villages will be left untouched. We will only be going after Garon and force him to surrender," explained Rhoam. "This is not an uneasy decision to make, but after what happened today, it seems that he has lost his edge completely and is more monster than man."
"I understand, and as much as it is hard for me to lay a hand on my father, no matter what he had become, I am still willing to do it, if it means to be able to restore my country's reputation," Xander said to him.
Corrin had a worried and concerned look on her face as she looked at Xander. The Xander she knew was perfectly loyal to his father, despite the atrocities the latter committed. It basically took a lot of convincing to finally turn against him in some way, but even then, it still hurt him a lot. She wondered if this Xander would be fine doing the same thing.
"So we're going to invade a kingdom? All right! This is gonna be fun!" said Nihilister with interest.
"Don't sound so excited. Disturbing the peace of other country is not something you should be excited about," Crown told her. "Think of all the lives that we may destroy in the process."
"Didn't you hear what they're saying? The king of that place has gone mad and teamed up with the Demon King, so he deserves to have his country destroyed!" Nihilister reminded her.
"Even so, this is not something that should be taken lightly. We have to show respect and concern to the people of Nohr who are currently here," Crown told her.
Rhoam looked at Xander and asked him, "I know this is a hard thing for you to do, invading your own country, but… do I have your permission to do so? Are you willing to turn your sword against your own country?"
"I am not turning my sword against my country, but rather, I am turning my sword against the evil behind my country. If there is any chance to save my father, I will do it and also save my country," replied Xander. "Yes, you have my permission to launch an attack on Nohr!"
