I Don't Own Fnaf
"You know, it's going to be your birthday soon" Mike paused in his actions for a moment, as his head rolled back on the couch's back on which he was sitting to stare up at the floating figure out Mari looking down at him with a look of consideration on his puppet face. Mike just blinked before saying.
"Yeah, I guess so" Mari seemed to deflate a little bit at the unenthused response, as he moved over, doing a weird little float-hop over the back of the couch to sit next to Mike, who realizing this was about to be a conversation, moved to put up his sketch pad to the side to give the puppet his attention. Said puppet was already speaking, casually normal, but with a little hint of scheming to his tone that Mike could detect from a mile away.
"I feel like you should be more excited" Mike could only find himself shrugging, explaining simply.
"I've never celebrated it, so I don't really have a reason to be that interested in it, it's kind of just another day" Now the puppet looked a bit aghast at the thought.
"Never?" Mike didn't really know what to say, so he just settled on the truth, even if it wasn't really a pleasant mood setter.
"I mean, I'm sure I have, when I was like... four or something, but after Mom died, Dad never really cared about that sort of thing when it came to his own kids, and as the oldest, it was more on me to make sure my siblings got to celebrate theirs than worry about mine. And after... Everything, I never really felt like celebrating" Mari just frowned.
"That's sad" The bluntness of it caught Mike off guard enough to laugh, as he said back a bit jokingly.
"Yeah, maybe just a bit" Mari didn't seem to find the humor in it, instead saying.
"You know, we could do something" Mike just rolled his eyes at the suggestion.
"I'm turning twenty-five, not ten, I don't need balloons and gifts to feel special. I got you for that" Usually a casual line like that at least got Mari flustered enough to switch onto another line of thought, because frankly, as much as Mike wasn't sure he wanted to admit it, the conversation was kind of uncomfortable. But apparently it wasn't enough this time, frankly he got the impression from the unimpressed glance he got as a result, Mari usually let him get away with doing that, but not this time.
"It doesn't have to be a big thing" Mike wasn't sure he wanted anything period, because, frankly, he hadn't ever really had anything for his birthday, and he was fine with keeping it that way. Still, that wouldn't be anything that actually got Mari off this line of thought, so he just tossed out the first thing that came to his mind.
"The world explodes the entire week of my birthday, I think that's enough for me" He was of course referring to Independence Day, which was only a day after his birthday, something back when he had been a kid had been a right riot for everyone else, poking at him and his funny voice being so close to the day they kicked 'his lot' out of their nation. It was always funny until they actually tried to kick him, then they stopped laughing when Mike kicked back with significantly longer legs and a whole lot less humor.
...Huh, he had kind of almost forgotten about that, he kind of wished he was still kind of forgetting it, but sadly it seemed his plan of attack had only the opposite effect on the puppet, who let out a sudden delighted sound that only came from when the animatronic had an idea. Mike usually loved the sound, right now he was mostly just vaguely uneasy.
"We could do something for Independence Day at the Cove! Foxy would love the idea, and while it's not exactly on your birthday, we could still get some fireworks and set them off that night!" Mike, who had a life eventful enough to actively hate sudden loud explosions, made a very real point to himself to not help add to the noise level of the neighbor on a day the fireworks weren't meant for... While sadly admitting to himself the almost literal stars in the puppet's eyes meant he was probably still going to find a way to watch them with the animatronic. Still, that first part... wasn't a bad idea, and yet-
"I'm pretty sure a brit owned establishment doing a fourth of July event would be enough to get my dual-citizenship revoked" That got a proper laugh out of the puppet, who batted at his shoulder like he was being ridiculous, but it was clear the puppet was thinking about it.
"Seriously though, it would be good, we're nearly through Summer, only a bit over a month left, it would be nice to have a proper big event, and we could use it for something with your birthday"
"We can bring the event idea up with Foxy, and I'm sure we can find enough red, white, and blue items to throw on the walls to celebrate it... but I don't want to do anything big for my birthday" The puppet was clearly about to bring up a protest, which Mike quickly silenced by continuing on, his voice becoming more serious, "I'm being serious Mari, I just... Don't want that"
"Oh" The word was spoken quietly, not quite awkwardly, but with the same tone of realization the puppet had before when he realized a bit to late he had stepped, more in this case, trampled, over something he didn't know about ahead of time, "Alright, that's fine to"
"Sorry, I know you love birthdays, but... I don't know, I just..." He couldn't find the words, he wasn't really sure there were words to really describe just what he was feeling in that moment, but it seemed he didn't need to, as a hand placed itself onto his shoulder as the puppet said softly.
"You don't have to explain, if you don't want to do anything, then that's fine Mike, I'm sorry for pushing" Mike didn't particularly like the down casted, almost guilty tone the puppet had, as he quickly spoke back.
"You didn't know, I don't mind, I never mind you asking, and you were right, we probably should do something for the Cove, and this seems like a good idea. We can do some brainstorming and talk to the others about it later if you want" That seemed to brighten the puppet's mood, as he quickly nodded.
"That sounds nice" Mike shared a small smile with the animatronic as the two started to think over ideas, which quickly became who could suggest the most outrageous idea they could come up with first, and then loudest, and then finally who could say an idea at all through the laughter fits.
Mike wandered into the Cove at the start of the day with about as much interest as he always did, that being about as much as it to him to find the energy to move around and get everything sorted out.
The idea of a Fourth of July holiday event had gone about as expected. Evan didn't really see the point, Foxy was already way too invested, Fritz, Jeremy, and Janet went through the motions of quietly lamenting the loss of any now long abandoned thought of rest for the next week when it would come to budgeting supplies, collecting them, and then setting everything up.
Mike himself had already gone through those motions when he had been set to work by an enthusiastic puppet who had him working up mark ups for new plush designs as well as advertising for the event, and so on. His advert work of course being double looked over by both Jeremy and Foxy, the former to make sure it was marketable enough, the latter to make sure his image wasn't being besmirched by either looking too adorable or not adorable enough. There was apparently a fine line in the sand as far as the fox was concerned.
They had a little less than two weeks until said holiday, which was admittedly a bit close as far as planning went, but they also had done more on less. No one was looking to make this a whole week long event like they had with the Christmas stuff at the end of last year, so it wouldn't be too difficult to get everything managed. Basic three colored decorations, maybe a flag or two, and a whole lot of blue, red, and white frosting then anything could be achieved.
Right now everyone was in a bit early before opening, mostly because no one wanted to be here a bit later after closing, and was doing a brainstorming session on just how to get some things put around and up, basically figuring out what would go where, and therefore what they'd need to buy in the coming days, something that seemingly this time around has been assigned by mostly just the fact that Mike and Janet did it the last two times, it would be Fritz and Jeremy who would be out scouring for items.
Jeremy himself was currently scribbling something down in a notepad while Foxy followed him around, arms moving animatedly as he no doubt was trying to convince the 'accountant' of the crew, that some crazy prop or item was required to make sure everything went perfectly. Jeremy seemed more amused than anything, occasionally looking up and asking a question or two which seemed to stump the fox until the animatronic found a way to justify or excuse whatever issue Jeremy had thought up about the plan.
Mike just watched the exchange in the distance for a moment, before moving on towards somewhere else, his eyes drifting about to see Evan sitting on the stage, probably bored waiting on the day to start, Fritz was next to him, fussing with something in his arm, probably another springlock that wasn't releasing right. It wasn't really an issue, but according to the bear it was uncomfortable. Mike figured it was a bit like a muscle cramp that won't go away without the equivalent of minor surgery. It didn't sound nice.
Anyway, Mari was floating off from his side, where he had been following Mike to split off and head to the Prize Corner, probably to try and sort out all the million ideas in his own brain into a few that were reasonable before bringing his requests to Jeremy. Even for these smaller events, everyone put so much effort into it all, it was honestly really heart warming in a way, to see just how important this place had become to them all.
Even Janet, who had been here and involved in the animatronic nonsense that was their lives by far the least longest, seemed eager as Mike slipped into the kitchen. Though, maybe she was just excited to actually change up the menu a bit, cooking anywhere from thirty to fifty pizza's a day for months on end could get a bit... stale, even if there were other options on the menu, they weren't actually a pizzeria after all, the pizzas were still almost universally the thing ordered the most on a given day for reasons beyond Mike's understanding.
The woman's eyes seemed to zone in on him about half a second later after he had fully entered, saying quickly.
"We should get a grill" Mike... just stared at her for a second before asking simply.
"Why?"
"So we can actually make proper hamburgers, not those frozen pucks we toss in the oven until they're cooked, and so we can do proper grilled hot dogs for the holiday" Mike... had to concede that was a good point, it had been a long time since he had actually grilled anything, it would be nice to see if he could remember how it worked. And it would probably be cheaper to just buy the ground beef in bulk than those frozen pre-made burgers...
"We can probably do that, I mean, we can't bring an actual grill in here, but we can get a grill top to put on the stove burners" Janet frowned a bit at that.
"That's... I guess that works, not proper charcoal though" Mike answered a bit more dryly this time around.
"If you want to charcoal cook hotdogs, feel free to find one and set up a grill out back, but we're not putting one in the middle of the kitchen" Janet sighed, but nodded.
"No, you have a point, just won't be quite as authentic"
"You're really into this"
"I'm from the south, Fourth of July is our everything when the time of the year comes around. My family used to do fireworks for the entire week, it's great! We actually can do it here again now thinking about it! Since I only live fifteen minutes away from my parents" Mike grimaced at that, though did his best to quickly hid the expression before she could notice it, at least there would be plenty of opportunities for Mari to get a look at the exploding colors in the coming week, given Janet's parents lived within less than a five minute walk of where Mike lived.
"Sounds fun" Janet snorted, tossing him a look.
"You don't sound too sure about that. Not a fan of fireworks?" Mike just shrugged.
"Not really, seeing them from a distance can be nice, but when it's right in front of you... It's a bit too loud for my tastes" Janet just shrugged.
"I guess that makes sense, I kind of got used to big booms happening around me when I was growing up, this place though... It's pretty quiet, I bet no one takes to shooting cans on their back porch here like they did back home" Mike huffed at that, Hurricane like any place with a population in this country, probably had a concerning amount of gun owners, but she had a point about no one just shooting for the hell of it, it was kind of weird to think people actually did do that elsewhere. Mike was glad for that though, he wasn't all that big on hearing random explosions of noise.
"Definitely not, we're not squished together here, but everyone kind of keeps to themselves when it comes to making sure to not do anything too crazy to disturb the peace" Which he was honestly glad for, for one it kept the neighborhood quiet for the most part, and even if Hurricane was kind of trash when it came to the police, the people around here didn't actually get into to much trouble for the most part. Except, apparently, when there was an easy excuse to blow things up.
Still, it was just something to deal with, it would be over soon enough, and if he was lucky, he'd be able to hopefully run off the excitement that Mari would probably get out of watching the nearby fireworks go off.
"Yeah, it's a different kind of atmosphere from where I grew up, it's not bad" Mike just hummed.
"I bet it's been something of an adjustment, you were only planning on staying for a bit right? Just crashing at your parents until something came up, but that was a year ago now. How's all that been going?" Janet nodded at the first question, a soft, reflective kind of look crossing over her face as she clearly thought about that for a long moment, finally saying too the second one.
"I mean, I can certainly say I didn't expect this is where I was going to end up when I first got here, but I also definitely don't regret it... It's... Mom and Dad, or my brother, don't really get it. I mean, they're happy for me to have someone, and to have steady work, for a while I kind of... bounced around without really anything in mind, but before coming here I had mentioned about giving college a shot, and now I've been a cook at a restaurant for nearly a year and haven't talked about classes in... ages, haven't really thought about it, I think it's worrying them a bit. But this place... It's important, I know it's not really my 'place' or anything, but all of this just feels... I don't know, like I was let in on one of the world's biggest secrets, it's pretty cool"
Mike honestly hadn't been expecting such an honest and open answer, as he paused for a moment, of what he had started to do, and instead just thought about that.
"Do you remember last year, when you came over to my place and asked a few questions, that first day you came into work after being told about... everything" Janet snorted a bit, clearly recalling the memory with some level of fondness, which was good for her, Mike was still at the time was mostly trying his best to sleep off being killed, so it was a bit harder to look to favorably on that stretch of about two months of recovering.
"Yeah, you got really sappy, talking about family and friends and stuff. If it wasn't for that not-really-a-date back when we first met, that would have been what made me realize just how soft and gooey you are on the inside Schmidt" Mike made the expressed decision to not be embarrassed about what he was like while hopped up on pain meds and the joys of still being alive, and instead said back blandly.
"Well, it worked didn't it? ...And I wasn't kidding either. This place, in its own way, has been the most important place in my life, for good and bad. It was terrifying, making the decision to open this place, having no idea if I would fail or not, but that's... besides the point. You weren't here for the start of the Cove, you weren't here at all for anything but the last dying gasps of Freddy's, but that's not what's important. You're here now, and that means a lot to us... Some more than others admittedly" Mike shot her a grin at that, as Janet smirked a bit.
"Yeah, well, someone has to make sure that nerd doesn't overwork himself until he passes out at the dining table, drooling over processors. I think that's more your thing" Mike rolled his eyes, even as he leaned up against the island in the kitchen to shoot her a look as he said confidently.
"Well, what can I say, I prefer my gear heads to be a bit more literal" That last line kind of settled in the air for a long second before Janet couldn't hold it anymore as she laughed out in a short kind of hysteria burst as Mike just let out a short laugh of his own at how dumb the conversation had quickly turned to.
"Oh, I can't wait to tell Lolbit that one, they'll love it" Mike found himself tilting his head a bit at that, as he thought over the sudden introduction of one of the newest animatronics to their group to the conversation, as he asked plainly.
"How's that been by the way, Fritz mentions some stuff occasionally, but it's mostly just progress reports on the Funtime situation, which if I've been listening right, has been about none"
"They've been doing good, I mean. I'm sure they're a bit bored, but they're in good spirits about everything at least. It's a bit weird to have a roommate though, but, in a good way weirdly enough, they're strange but I think I've gotten adjusted enough to that around here" Mike couldn't really say anything against that point, he was pretty sure they all were a bit strange nowadays, so he just smiled and said.
"Glad to hear, them and Ennard are the two I haven't really heard a lot about recently"
"Well, those three are doing well as well from what Fritz has told me from what Scott has told him. But if you want to meet the fox in question, you could come by some time, maybe find a way to drag Jeremy along. Give us a reason to actually hang out outside of work" Mike huffed at that, but she did have a point, not that they really needed to hang out more, any of them. They spent most of their days around each other already just from work.
"Maybe, though maybe not, Foxy's been testy about another fox being around" Janet just nodded.
"Oh yeah, I've noticed, he's straight up asked me on Lolbit's opinions on pirates. I think he's worried about his branding, not that Lolbit seems at all interested in any kind of performance from what they've mentioned" Mike just snickered a bit at that, easily imagining Foxy asking that.
"Yeah, well he'll be relieved to know that, not that it would be too bad, that's why Fritz grabbed that body in the first place after all" Frankly, they still had more animatronics than they knew what to do with to an almost annoying degree that they couldn't get them into the Cove. Not the living ones of course, Mike wasn't looking to force anyone into performing. But he had two springlock suits, and seven different animatronics all in various states of destruction that were just taking up space. Not that repairing them would do anything mind, but it was the thought of it that got to him.
"Yeah, I guess. We're pretty cramped here though, not a lot of space for another animatronic" Janet had a point about that, the Cove foot traffic was bordering on right on the line of too much on their busiest days, it would calm down once the school year started up again, but if next summer continued the trend of being more than the last, then... Well, frankly, Mike wasn't sure the Cove would have enough room for that. It was a weird issue to have, but the place had been built with the idea of a comfortable diner rather than a proper event and party place, so it wasn't really that surprising.
Which, well, was a concern to have at a later point, for right now Mike just hummed to Janet's words and switched the topic back to the point of order.
"Yeah... Anyways, since this is apparently your forte, any other foods that are a requirement for this holiday that we haven't thought about?" Janet seemed only too interested in the open door, as Mike quickly learned the many different things Janet had that was deep fried during her childhood. It was impressive as it was kind of concerning for her health.
Bonnie blinked away from focusing on the tv in front of him, not that anything interesting was playing on it, it was just a rerun of a show he had already watched the reruns for. He could have gotten up to messed with the somewhat newly bought VCR player that was resting next to the television and put one of the many movies that Jeremy had slowly been adding to in a stacked collection next to the tv, but that required effort to get up and manually deal with that, and even bothering to shadow project next to it was too much effort.
Instead, he had just dealt with whatever was playing, and now he was looking away from the boring reruns, and was looking over at the rattling coming from the door, it was Jeremy, or rather, it had to be given no one ever came over... The man was late. He better have a good reason or Bonnie was going to be obligated to say something... Okay, so he was going to say something anyway for good reason or not, but that's besides the point really.
So he just waited as the door clicked open finally as he watched Jeremy do the now old song of dance of squeezing himself through the door as quickly as possible before closing it behind him... Though this time it was a bit faster than Bonnie was used to, as the animatronic tilted his head to the side, as he stared ahead at the man, more importantly, at the duffle bag hanging off his shoulder... which was moving.
"Did you kidnap a cat or something?" Jeremy jumped a little bit, though Bonnie had no idea why, as he found himself standing up and moving over as the man sputtered out something, before seemingly getting a handle over himself as he said.
"No, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to tell them apart... Err, well, you remember that talk we had about Plushtrap?" Bonnie felt his bored mood, which had started to alleviate a bit with the presence of the man showing back up to have something to actually do... plummet back down as he stared blankly at the man, before shifting his attention to the bag, staring at it for just long enough for it to become awkward, before finally asking blandly.
"Is Plushtrap in that bag?" Jeremy looked incredibly awkward, which, you know, good, the man deserved it for just dropping this on the rabbit! ...Okay, maybe the man had given him weeks of warning and time to tell him if he had any issues, but that didn't mean he wanted to suddenly have to deal with watching the man play babysitter for a tiny animatronic... And if the idea that there were smaller animatronics than him around was maybe a little satisfying, then no it wasn't... Shut up.
"Yeah" Bonnie rolled his eyes, unsure just what else to do, as his arms twitched and fidgeted to want to wrap around himself, but he kept them still, as he said a bit sharply.
"Well, have fun then" Bonnie turned around and was more than willing to head straight to his bedroom. He wasn't tired, but it was better than watching Jeremy look after some tiny kid. He could just play on his hand console for a while if he had to do something.
"Wait" Bonnie paused, just long enough to turn around and raise an eyebrow at Jeremy who shifted a bit, clearly trying to balance the animatronic in the bag hanging off his shoulder which was slowly starting to shake more and more, probably feeling about as impatient as suddenly Bonnie felt as Jeremy continued to speak, "I- Well, I mean, there's no rush, and I would appreciate it if you stayed out here for a while"
Bonnie just slowly turned to give the man a long look, unsure just what that meant, as he just shifted a bit, his mind not really thinking about the situation, more just stuck in being uncertain as to just what he was supposed to do. He didn't really want to stay in his room for the rest of the night, and hanging out with Jeremy wasn't often the worst thing ever, but a new person, some kid he didn't even know, made things feel... Weird. The man would no doubt give most of his attention there and Bonnie didn't want to deal with being ignored for the rest of the night either...
"Whatever" Bonnie didn't really even know if he was saying that nonanswer as a positive or negative to what Jeremy was asking, but he didn't move fast enough for the latter apparently, and soon he was dealing with Jeremy getting a massive smile on his face, which made Bonnie even more uncomfortable, as he said quickly, "Only for a bit though"
Jeremy just nodded, still looking too excited for the rabbit's tastes, though he did seem to be able to tone it down a little bit, as he moved about, letting out a surprised sound to himself as he seemed to realize he still had the kid trapped in the bag. Bonnie was pretty sure the named Plushtrap would start trying to bite their way out soon if they weren't released. Jeremy busied himself, walking by while Bonnie just glanced back to look at the tv, which was still playing the show from before... He should probably change that...
Moving over while Jeremy freed the animatronic from its confinements, Bonnie moved over to the tv and poked the mute button before grabbing the remote to switch it to a more... kid friendly channel. Jeremy hadn't gotten onto him for watching more adult typed tv, but he figured if Plushtrap was a proper kid, not like Bonnie, Bonnie was a teenager and that meant he was basically an adult when you thought about it, then it probably was suppose to be good if it was more kid friendly... Right?
He honestly just wasn't sure what he was supposed to be doing, so this felt at least like something.
Glancing over, he managed to catch the moment where Jeremy pulled out the animatronic, who currently had something that had been in the bag locked in the little rabbit's jaw. Bonnie just snorted while Jeremy fussed and tried to get what looked like one of his hats out of the tiny amiantronic's mouth. The man wasn't succeeding.
Bonnie just moved over, reached down, and grabbed the little brat's head and lifted him out of the adult's hands. Jeremy let out a faint worried sound, but Bonnie just reached in and pried the things mouth open, and tossed the hat over to the man before wincing as he glared down at the other rabbit as they seemed to decide that since their mouth was open again, it could be used to bite something else, namely in this case, his hand.
It didn't really hurt, plastic fingers and all that, but the pressure on them weren't exactly comfortable either, so he glared down at Plushtrap, who's eyes were focused on him, as Bonnie lifted his hand up, and got a good look at how the tiny bot was literally hanging in the air, hanging off of the fingers they still had between their teeth. The bigger rabbit let out an annoyed static sound as he said sharply.
"Let go or I'll punt you through a-"
"Bonnie!" Bonnie did not like the way he felt like his chest was suddenly tightening and the way sound seemed to blur out for a moment, but it did, at the surprised and disapproving tone in Jeremy's voice. The rabbit didn't have time to think about what to feel or think or say, because the words were already blurting out of him as he snapped his eyes to the man at his side.
"What! He bit me first! Going to take sides already?" It was too loud, too defensive, to... to open. Bonnie suddenly felt like a massive idiot for not just going to his room, Jeremy wasn't the boss of him, why the hell did he care what the man thought anyways? He didn't, obviously. He should just pry the damn rabbit off his hand and march to his room, and- and-
"What? No, of course not. But I don't want you to threaten anyone either. Come on, Plush, we've talked about this, no biting people, that includes Bonnie. Let go and apologize" Bonnie was ready and willing to roll his eyes, because it obviously wasn't going to work like that. But... Instead of being right, he watched in minor shock as Plushtrap did just let go, dropping down onto the table where the bag they spawned from still laid, huffing a bit, their jaw making a chattering sound, before looking up at Bonnie with massive wide eyes, before waving a bit.
Bonnie just stared back, wanting to cross his arms, but he could feel the way that Jeremy was looking at him now, as he just turned his head to the side so he didn't have to see the man in the corner of his vision, suddenly uncomfortable as-
"Bonnie, anything to say?"
"Nope"
"Come on, I want you two to get along" Ugh...
"Fine... I'm sorry for threatening to throw you out of a window... Or whatever" Jeremy was grinning like an idiot, and Bonnie really didn't want to have to see that, so he kept his eyes away from the man still, and instead let them shift over to the other rabbit, staring at them... It had been a while since he had last seen them, and it had only been for about half an hour until Jeremy had brought him back home from the warehouse after that... difficult night.
They looked different... Or maybe that was Bonnie's memory of them from those months before and the tales that he had been told in the meantime clashing. He could have sworn the animatronic's jaw was bigger, but it wasn't, and in his mind they hadn't been so... dirty looking. Beat up and everything, the fabric of their suit was torn up and messy, fraying a bit at the ends and the like. Bonnie just frowned.
He didn't mention the strange weird wiggling feeling of something in his chest at the thoughts, nor the way that the little rabbit was staring up at the much bigger model with something akin to wonder in their little eyes, at seeing such a bigger version of themself.
"Why are they... still damaged?" Jeremy sighed, while the little rabbit just suddenly crossed their arms, plopping down onto the table like the petulant child that they probably were.
"Well, we've asked if they want to be repaired, Fritz has tried even, but... When we get to close with that intent... Well, Fritz had to bandage up his hand for a little while. They just... don't want it I guess" Plushtrap just let out a rattling kind of chittering sound that sounded vaguely huffy if Bonnie was being generous. He didn't really get it, and thought about pointing out how that felt kind of dumb, but instead, feeling like that would get him another one of those annoying and uncomfortable looks from Jeremy, he held back and instead just looked down at the rabbit before asking.
"So... You a boy or a girl, or, like, neither?" Bonnie tossed that one in from his memories of how finicky Mangle had been about that sort of thing. He didn't really get it, but it had been important to his friend, so it was probably important to other people right? He remembered the annoyance he felt when people thought he was a girl animatronic back when he had been at Freddy's, the confusion had been... aggravating. Plushtrap just chittered out that clacking sound again while Jeremy said conversationally.
"They haven't really answered that either, not sure why to be honest, but if they don't want to..." Bonnie just shrugged, he wasn't really sure he cared if there was a reason or not, frankly the small rabbit already seemed like quite the pain to be able to actually get anything done with them, be it get information out of them or to try and help them. He had to wonder just what Jeremy had to do to convince them to come over here thinking about it... A thought and question for later, this didn't really seem like the time.
"Whatever... You, like, want to watch tv or something?" Plushtrap seemed interested in that, bouncing back up to their feet, and giving a nod, their slightly oversized head kind of flopping about from the excited reaction. Right, well, Bonnie could get behind just staring mindlessly at a tv for a few hours, and Jeremy hadn't said it was a horrible idea or anything, so... "Right, come on, there's this cartoon on about a bat dude that's interesting, you'd probably like it"
Bonnie made sure to not notice as well as he could the proud look Jeremy gave him as the two rabbits moved over to the couch, Bonnie having to explain with some annoyance about the plot and the characters given it was kind of assumed the audience knew at this point, it was a new show, it only half way through it's first season, so at least there wasn't that much to catch up on at least.
...And maybe seeing the excited way the little rabbit jumped and moved about when something happened on the screen wasn't... that bad. Though the loud chattering of teeth during the cool action parts was admittedly very annoying.
Bonnie POV, I... Honestly am not sure the last time we had one of these, I think it was before he moved in with Jeremy actually so it's been a while, but it is very nice to be able to have, this teenaged rabbit is genuinely starting to warm up to everything and becoming an almost not anti-social loner, so proud of him.
Anyways, beyond that, Mike now officially has had his birthday dated in this story, which is fun, it's July 3rd, cause, honestly, I thought it was only a bit to much on the nose to have the only born British character in this story to have their birthday on independence day for America... so I put it a day before instead because it's funny. And of course because this is a fnaf story, birthdays are always kind of awkward, given the death counts happening on them. Mike's isn't that much different, it's admittedly not as horrifying as the animatronic cast's reasons, but, well, I think I explained it pretty well.
Beyond that, Mike and Janet had a moment together that was fun. I'm trying to flesh her out more this time around early on, because she was mostly just another placeholder body to have in a scene that a real character last story to my own admitted fault, there was just to much happening for a very much side character to get to much focus on, and even then, she had a solid four to five chapters of stuff she was directly the star in, it just happens like that. And will probably happen again, so I'm building up the supporting cast as much as I can in the mean time before we truly get into the plot, which will be happening soon, don't worry, next chapter is going to be... interesting. Anyways, that's all I got, so... See ya!
