Standard Episode 9: Floatsam's battle part 1
Hey there guys.
In this chapter, we will start the invasion of the Standard Dimension by the Fusion Dimension, if this works well, there will be three or four parts that will be based on the invasion.

Floatsam Paradise – Standard Dimension
In the opera house, the curtains moved away on the scene to reveal a beautiful singer who came out of the curtains, she was a blonde long-haired girl dressed in a blue shoulder-spilt evening dress.
Meanwhile, Declan decided to take a peak at the entrance of the opera house and he noticed a indigo-haired girl standing atop the entrance where she looked at the singer, perfect, Celina was present at the scene, once the recital would be over, he would take her to Shay so that the XYZ duelist could explain to her what really happened at the XYZ dimension, he turned his gaze at the recital as the singer begin to sing.
"Il dolce suono mi colpì di sua voce!
Ah, quella voce m'è qui nel cor discesa!
Edgardo! io ti son resa.
Edgardo! Ah! Edgardo, mio!"
Everyone listened to the beautiful voice of Fabrizia Laguna to which it included Yuya and Zuzu who listened to the singing, although they didn't listen a lot of opera or love songs, they admitted that the singer's voice was beautiful.
Celina was also listening to the song though she was confused on why that woman was singing, was there some sort of celebration before the tournament will begin? Though it didn't matter to her as her end goal was to meet up with the XYZ remnant so that she could beat him in a duel and she will be honored by the professor who will let her be in the frontlines for the upcoming battle.
"Si', ti son resa!

Meanwhile, in the surveillance room, Sylvio and Shay were still looking at the monitors so that they could witnessed something that could be suspicious.
Eventually, Shay noticed a group of soldiers dressed in blue uniforms walking down a corridor of the hotel, he recognized them easily, these guys must be the Obelisk Force, the elite soldiers of Academia.
"Looks like these scums aren't wasting their time" remarked the XYZ duelist to which it caught Sylvio's attention who decided to look at the monitors and he also witnessed the Obelisk Force duelists marching towards the ambassador's suite.
"Holy shit! These bastards are early!" said Sylvio as he activated his transmitter from his duel disk.
At the opera house, Declan was still watching Fabrizia's recital when suddenly, he received a call from his earpiece that he has planted in case of an emergency, the call came from his mother: Henritta Akaba.
"Declan, come at the surveillance room this instant, looks like that your father seems to have planned things ahead of us" said Henritta as Declan rose from his seat much to a spectator surprise as he decided to whisper something to the LDS president.
"You're leaving so soon?" asked the man but Declan ignored him as he went into the surveillance room so he could see what was going on.
But the man wasn't the only one who noticed that Declan was leaving the opera house, Celina also noticed that the LDS president was leaving the place so she decided to follow him, maybe he is planning to lead her to the XYZ remnant.
"Un gelo me serpeggia nel sen!"
Meanwhile, at the ambassador's suite, the blond bodyguard served himself a drink of vodka for him and his partner as they didn't have any choice but to wait for Celina's return.
"Trema ogni fibra!"
Suddenly, the two bodyguards heard a knock at the door, looks like someone is trying to enter at their room.
"Who's there?" asked the blond bodyguard.
"It's champagne for the ambassador!" responded a voice that came through the door to which it caused the blond bodyguard to give out a smile, maybe they can afford a bottle of champagne in order to pass the time.
"Well, can't argue with that" said the blond bodyguard as he walked so that he can open the door.
Suddenly, an Obelisk Force duelist pointed his duel disk at the bodyguard, shocking him as the soldier pressed a button on his duel disk, causing a purple light to come out of his duel disk, engulfing the poor bodyguard who couldn't do anything.
The ruckus caused the red-haired bodyguard to rise up from her seat as she noticed a card sliding down to her, she picked it up and what she saw shocked her : it was her partner who was seen with a pure look of terror across his face.
" Vacilla il piè!"
But before she could react, she received a shot on her chest, knocking her out and making her fall on the ground.
The sound spooked Celina as she has heard the shot's sound, she decided to forget her plans of following Declan and she went into the suite where she has left her bodyguards.
Meanwhile, on the surveillance room, Declan arrived at the room where Claude, Henritta and his little brother, Riley, a boy wearing a turquoise hooded sweatshirt with a black cap underneath the hood along with a black collar necklace, were also present in the room with Sylvio and Shay.
"Mother, what is going on?" asked Declan.
"These blue uniformed men just came out of nowhere and they've entered through the ambassador's suite" explained Henritta as Declan witnessed indeed multiple soldiers entering in the suite.
"And they've carded the two bodyguards who were in there" added Shay as he recognized the methods of the Obelisk Force, they can duel but they prefer to ruthesely card their opposition rather than face them head on, in case they will be dueled, they usually attacked them in groups rather by themselves.
"How many are there?" asked Declan.
"Enough to convince this dimension of the Fusion Dimension's threat" added Henritta.
'There might be more of them mother, I suggest you to leave the hotel, me and the Lancers, we shall take care of them" said Declan before he turned his attention to Claude "Claude, take my mother in a safe location, then, activate the alarm so that the LDS duelists can counter the intruders".
"Yes sir" replied the bodyguard as he escorted the LDS chairwoman out of the room but Sylvio noticed something on the monitor as he witnessed Celina approching the ambassador's suite.
"Mr Akaba, check this out!" said the blond boy as Declan decided to look at the monitor to which he witnessed the indigo-haired girl approaching the suite as she hide herself behind a corner.
"Celina..."
"Presso la fonte meco t'assidi alquanto!"
Celina watched over the corner as she witnessed the Obelisk Force ransaking inside the room, for her, there was no doubt, they were looking out for her but why did they carded her bodyguards? Because they disobeyed the professor's orders by taking her in?
Anger began to course through her, she wants to prove her worth to the professor but no one wants to let her expose her skills.
"Si', Presso la fonte meco t'assidi."
Meanwhile, the group of soldiers were ransaking the room in order to find the missing girl as they threw everything apart but they couldn't find Celina.
"She's not here! The little girl must be elsewhere!" said a bearded commender as he and his unit prepared to leave the room as their search seems to be empty-handed.
Suddenly, the door suddenly opened which knocks out two of the Obelisk Forces soldiers who felled on the ground, two other duelists tried to get Celina but the indigo-haired girl headbutted one of the soldiers and kicked the second who tried to grab her from behind.
The commender paled upon seeing the girl, she seems to be angry, since they were three other Obelisk Forces standing, they could be helpful of catching the young girl.
"GET HER!" ordered the bearded man as the three duelists activate their duel disks while Celina does the same thing
Dennis, who left the adjacent room where the other members of the Obelisk Force were waiting, decided to check on the pack that were left in retrieving Celina until he heard a suspicious thud, curious, he decided to approach the room in order to see what was going on.
Suddenly, an Obelisk Force member flew out of the door, screaming in panic and shocking the orange-haired duelist, that wasn't supposed to happen this way, Celina was to be caught, did she defeated that duelist ? Panicked, he decided to retreat to the adjacent room in order to warn the pack of the soldiers.
Meanwhile, in the room, Celina managed to defeat another Obelisk Force member who flew into a table, almost knocking over the commender who was horrified, his men were defeated by a meddlesome kid.
"Oh no!" trembled the last remaining Obelisk Force member who was shocked, he had a Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound on his field (A:1800/D:1600) and 1600 Life Points left while Celina had her Lunalight Cat Dancer on her field (A:2800/D:2000) along with her Blue Cat (A:1600/D:1200) who she had special summoned it to which it allowed one of her Lunalight monsters to double its Attack Points, she has chosen Lunalight Cat Dancer (A:2800x2=4200)
"And it will be your turn since Lunalight Cat Dancer can target any of your monsters as long as it can attack it twice!" ordered Celina as the felice creature attacked Hunting Hound, though she didn't destroyed it on the first time, she succeeded on the second time, knocking out the Obelisk Force, horrifing the commender (Obelisk Force:0).
The commender was shocked, how could all of his men were bested by this young girl? He had greatly understimated her as she looked at him with a severe death glare.
"You want a piece of it too? Or are you too cowardly to even face me in a duel?" challenged Celina but the commender had an idea, he activated his duel disk and summoned an Ancient Gear Soldier, he planned to shoot at the young girl so that she could taken away.
An old yet intimading machine appeared before the indigo-haired girl as it begin to spin his barrel before it fires a wave of bullet at Celina who dodged it by making several impressive backflips much to the commender's shock, he ordered his monster to stop it's attack by raising his hand up before the young girl landed on the ground, looking at him with the severe death glare that he has even seen.
Not taking any chances, the commender decide to rush at the young girl in order to tackle her on the ground but...
SMACK!
Celina punched him square on the face, knocking him out and sending him down on the ground.
Meanwhile, the concert finally ended as the diva stopped singing to which it caused the audience to applaud her performance as they rose from their chairs in order to congratulate the singer who bowed at their celebration.
Their applauses allowed Dennis to switfly go to the adjacent room where he hurridly opened the door and quickly shuts it much to the group's surprise.
"What is it McField? State your report!" ordered the blond leader as the orange-haired man turned his gaze on the leader of the Obelisk Force's group.
"W-we seemed to have felled in some sort of a trap, Celina has dispatched the soldiers that you threw at her, she mush have known of your presence!" warned Dennis to which his report caused the Obelisk Force to be angered, who could have warned Celina of their presence? The leader decded to speak for his unit.
"Tell all units to prepare themselves because if they want war...They'll get it!" said the blond leader as his unit cheered upon his declaration, they will finally starts to get into action as they waited for this moment for a long time.
Meanwhile, Celina looked upon the scene that has happened and she still wondered what was going on until suddenly...
"Bravo! Bravo!" said a voice to which it caused Celina to turn around in order to face a man covered in a greenish-black cloak "congratulations, Celina, that was I call an demonstration, I'm sure that the men I could train wouldn't have done a better job as you did".
The man removed his cloak, revealing a young boy possessing Yuya's face except that his hair was purple and that he was dressed with a purple and light blue waistcoat, pink cravat, a two-part cape of red and purple, a purple abbreviated coat with thick cuffs and gold shoulder bands with an amber-colored setting, fastened at the collar bone, and a light-blue pants tucked into silver-tinted leather boots, upon seeing the boy, Celina froze, she knows that man.
"Yuri!"
"Good, looks like that we can skipped the preliminary" said Yuri as he approached the young girl who steps back while she activate her duel disk.
"Why are you here?" asked Celina.
"Isn't that obvious? I came to take you back home of course" said Yuri.
"Well, screw you, I'm not going back until I defeat that XYZ remnant so I can prove my worth to the professor" yelled the indigo-haired girl.
"A prey that defends itself, I like that! You will make this duel much more enjoyable" replied the violet-haired boy as he activate his duel disk.
Yuri vs Celina
"I'll shall take the first turn" replied Yuri as he drew a card "I summon Predaplant Cephalotus Snail in Attack mode"
A weird green carnivous plant appeared on the field (A:1300/D:1200).
"I'll end my turn by setting 2 cards and I'll end my turn" said the violet-haired boy as two holograms of a card appeared on his field "now come at me and try to put out a good fight".
"You'll regret saying that, I draw!" replied Celina as she drew her card "I'll activate Polymerization in order to fuse Lunalight Blue Cat and Lunalight Purple Butterfly!"
Celina tradermark blue cat along with a cat-like butterfly began to fuse together.
"Blue cat that prowls through the darkness! Butterfly with violet poison! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon!" said Celina as she clasped her hands together while the fusion finished revealing a blue humanoid cat "Come to me! Beautiful beast that dances in the moonlight! Lunalight Cat Dancer!"
"Well, looks like that you are playing seriously Celina, I'm impressed !" whistled Yuri, she was interesting to say the least.
"And I am not done yet! I activate my Spell Card: Lunalight Perfume!" said Celina as a transparent perfume appeared on the field "it allows me to special summon a monster of my graveyard and I summon Blue Cat!"
The infamous blue cat appeared on the field (A:1600/D:1200).
"When it is Special Summoned, I can double the Attack Points of a Lunalight monster that is on my field and I choose Cat Dancer!" Cat Dancer let out a pleased meow as it saw its attack points skyrocketing (A:2400x2=4800).
"And now, I'll activate Lunalight Cat Dancer, if I release a Lunalight monster, it can attack your monster twice on this turn, now go Cat Dancer, attack Cephalotus Snail!" ordered Celina as the monster jumped in order to attack the plant.
"Your biggest problem however, is that you are too straightforward, what a dissapointement, I activate my Trap Card: Predator Germination!" replied Yuri as a picture of three plants was shown on the Trap "when one of my Dark monsters is targeted for an attack, my monster cannot be destroyed and your monster will be destroyed".
"What?" yelled out Celina as she wasn't expecting that, that prick! Celina couldn't do anything except seeing her favorite monster being torn apart by the trap card "bastard! I set a card and I'll end my turn"
An hologram of a card appeared on the field.
"Oh, poor Celina, looks like that you will have to come home to Papa much sooner than expected, I'll draw!" said Yuri as he looked at the card that he drew, a smile drew on his face "I'll summon Predaplant Moray Nepenthes in Attack Mode!"
Two black plants appeared on the field (A:1600/D:1000).
"And since your field is empty, I can attack you directly, go my plants, feast on Celina's Life Points!" ordered Yuri to which the two plants launched out vines on Celina, causing to stagger backwards (Celina:1100) "I've done enough damage, now, try to amuse me Celina, do not dissapoint me by losing too soon".
"Damn! The nerve on that guy!" swored Celina as she didn't like the haugthy tone that was using Yuri.
Meanwhile, on the surveillance room, Declan, Claude (who had managed to evacuate Henritta from the hotel), Sylvio and Shay were watching the duel through the monitors.
"The situation seems to be critical sir, Celina seems to be on her last legs against this duelist" remarked Claude.
"Yeah, he is nothing like Yuya, if he wins, I won't give a money on Celina's safety" added Sylvio.
Shay waited long enough, he rose from his seat, ready to duel the Fusion duelist.
"I'm going in, I'm gonna stop this bastard!" said Shay but Declan stopped him.
"Don't, I've already send another duelist to protect Celina in case of an emergency, the other one has been sent in order to protect Zuzu when the Fusion Dimension will begin their invasion" explained the white-haired duelist to which his sentence caused Sylvio to be surprised, indeed, aside of him and Shay, Declan had recruited two duelists from the Fuma Duel School and assigned them as the private bodyguards of the two bracelet girls.
"Wait Mr Akaba, you mean, you've sent one of those ninjas already?" asked the blond duelist.
"Indeed, Academia may have taken us by surprise but I can use of every tricks that I pulled up my sleeves" added Declan as he returned his gaze to the duel that was featured on the monitor that showed the ambassador's suite.
Celina drew her card and a serious expression showed at her face.
"Well, I'll try to bet on this!" said Celina as she decided to start her turn "I'll activate Polymerization!"
"So, she had another Polymerization card on her deck, not surprising though, some of us did add multiple copies of that card to maximaze crushing the wimps" Yuri thought.
"I'll fuse Lunalight Panther along with Lunalight Black Sheep" said the indigo-haired girl as the two monsters fused together "Beautiful beast that dances in the moonlight! Butterfly with violet poison! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come to me! Supple beast that dances through moonlit fields! Moonlight Panther Dancer!"
A monster wearing a helmet based on a panther appeared on the field (A:2800/D:2500).
"3500 Attack points?" asked the violet-haired duelist as he watched the newest monster appearing on the field.
"Yes, now, I'm gonna make you lose your smile, Panther Dancer! Attack!" ordered Celina to which her monster goes in attacking Predaplant Moray Nepenthes "and in case you will wonder, just like Lunalight Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer can attack your monsters twice and it will increase its attack points of 200 when it will destroy one of your monsters"
"Really?" replied Yuri while he remained impacable.
"Yeah, it will be for real, say goodbye Yuri, Cat Panther! Strike down his plants and his Life Points!" said Celina as Panther Dancer begin his attack.
But suddenly, Yuri started laughing much to the indigo-haired girl annoyance.
"Why are you laughing you moron?" Celina asked.
"Celina, ah, Celina, you are so fun to mess with, have you forgotten that I have set two cards on my field? I activate the trap Dark Seed Planter!" said Yuri as he activated his Trap Card "when a Dark monster tries to attack another Dark monster on the field, it's attack will be negated!"
"What?" yelled out Celina, this means that as long as Yuri will have a Dark-type monster on his field, her attacks could not reach him, Panther stopped it's attack and retreated back to her mistress "damn, I end my turn".
"HAHAHAHA! I wonder if that was the reason why the Professor had refused to let you out of Academia, you are so predictable, time to show you what a true Duel soldier can do!" replied Yuri as he drew a card "since you want to play the fusion theme, I shall do it too, I activate Polymerization! I fuse Predaplant Moray Nepenthes and Predaplant Cephalotus Snail"
The two Dark monsters began to fuse with each other as Yuri clasped his palms against each other.
"Two beuatiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragmence. Now become one, From a hell under your petals, Give birth to another terror! Fusion Summon! Appear, poisonous dragon with hungering fangs! Level 8! - Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" chanted the violet-haired duelist as a purple dragon appeared on the field (A:2800/D:2000).
"Yeah, you just summoned a dragon that has the same amount of Attack points than Panther Dancer, you're wasting your time!" said Celina.
"I wonder about that because I can compensate with its effect, when Starve Venom is on the field, I can increase the Attack points of Starve Venom by the equal of all the special summoned monsters that is on my opponent's field" said Yuri as Starve Venom attack points received a boost of 2800 (A:2800-5600).
"5600 Attack points?" exclaimed the indigo-haired girl.
"And you wanna know the best part is? I'm just getting started! You see, the second effect of my monster is that it can steal your monster effects while preventing them of canceling it" added Yuri as Starve Venom launched out its fanged tentacles at Cat Panther to which it caused it to let out a pained screech.
"The hell? All of its effects?" asked Celina.
"Yes, now, it's showtime! Starve Venom! Destroy Cat Panther and since it obtained your monster's effects, it can attack twice" said Yuri as the dragon unleashed a powerful green blast that touched Cat Panther twice destroying it and causing the indigo-haired girl to fly across the room (Celina:0)
Celina cursed under her breath, how could she was beaten that easily? Yuri didn't lose a single life point while she was defeated.
"How dissapointing Celina, I thought that you would have resisted better, yet, you failed of my expectations, no matter, it's time for you to go back home" said Yuri as he was about to take the indigo-haired girl with him.
Suddenly, an smoke bomb flies in the air and hit the ground, engulfing the area in smoke and causing Yuri to be stunned while Celina accidentelly breathed a bit of the smoke, making her coughing, she then felt that someone was lifting her off the ground as a person, dressed in a red ninja suit took her and went into an ventilation shaft.
When the smoke clears, the violet-haired boy looked around the area but Celina was no longer there, gritting his teeth, he felt that he has lost his chance of taking the indigo-haired girl with him.
Meanwhile, on the director's office, Gong was shown to be interrogated by the owner of the hotel who was accompagnied by Kev Ravenwood, the previous winner of the Junior Youth Divison and a member of the LDS Xyz Summon Course.
Suddenly, a severe sound occurred and the two duelists who were guarding the door are knocked away as a Ancient Gear Soldier shot the two duelists into the room, the blond leader and his squad entered into the office.
"Nobody moves! We're taking control of this building!" said the man as the Obelisk Force surrounded the three men, Gong looked over Kev as he noticed that he has a duel disk, maybe he can repel the intruders with his deck but the leader was not the kind of man who is willing to duel "hands up!"
Horrified, both Kev and the director rose their hands in the air, too shocked and stunned to try anything much to Gong's horror as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Unacceptable, just unacceptable!" cursed the giant duelist as one of the Obelisk Force forced him to rose from the chair he was sitted.
Meanwhile, at the opera, multiple Obelisk Forces entered in the opera and stationned themselves while they waited the order of their superiors.
"Waiting for orders sir!" asked an Obelisk Force member through an earphone to which a voice responded to his sentence.
"It's hunting time, card and kill all the people who are here and find the two bracelet girls!" ordered their superior through the earphone.
The Fusion Duelists summoned their Ancient Gear Soldiers who then started to shoot in the air, scaring the audience who started to scream as they witnessed the giant monsters, Yuya and Zuzu quickly hide behind their seats just like Cecil who runs at the front row so that the soldiers won't find him.
The Obelisk Force started to take prisonners among the audience and drag them into the main hall though some of them started to activate a special feature on their duel disk, causing them to card these unexpected victims, two boys tried to tackle two Obelisk Force soldiers but they retaliated by ordering their Ancient Gear Soldier to shoot at them, killing them both as they fall on the ground.
Meanwhile, Zuzu looked at the opera stage and she noticed something that horrified her.
"Yuya! The singer!" replied Zuzu to which Yuya looked at the scene and indeed, a fusion duelist jumped into the scene while the terrified singer froze, she was too scared to even move.
With a malicious smirk, the Obelisk Force soldier pressed a button on his duel disk, envelopping the poor lady in a purple light, after a few seconds that looked like ages, the two teenagers noticed that the singer had dissappeared and instead, a card felled on the ground, satisfied, the man left the stage while Yuya, who tried to be discreet, snatched the card from the stage and he decided to look at it with Zuzu, the two let out a horrified gasp as they looked at the card.
The singer was shown, with an horrified expression on her face like if she was seeing a terrible monster in front of her.
Meanwhile, Yuri tried to leave the hotel in order to find Celina until he heard a woman screaming to which the sound caused him to have a smirk drawn on his face.
"Yes, I'm a good fan of that music" joked Yuri before he decided to make an action while he strapped a rectangular device on a door: searching for Celina while his comrades are working would be a waste of time, instead, he must attract his preys at him "in order for the rats to come, we need to give them an incentive!"
Yuri left the room while the device begin to tick down, in ten minutes, the whole place would blow up, which means that Floatsam Paradise would become an deserted wasteland when the bomb will go off.
Ans there it is, I hope that the duel doesn't feel rushed because it was a bit difficult to write a duel that wasn't featured on the anime, Celina and Yuri never dueled against each other, also, I hope that Celina's fans won't be upsed that she was defeated, a little too easily by Yuri but Yuri was a powerful duelist in ARC-V and he needed to make his presence known.
Next time, Yuya and Zuzu will learn the true purpose behind the (cancelled) tournament while the Fusion Dimension have officially started their invasion.
