Star came back to UA and spent the whole morning examining and admiring Melissa's inventions during breaks. The new and improved Iron Maiden suit was almost finished and ready for field testing. Other people in the workshop also wanted to show off because they mistook Bate for a sponsor. She was happy to assess their works as an experienced hero.

Tooru found Cathleen and explained her situation: how she knows about "Imaginary friends" and that she deeply cares about Izuku. The girl volunteered to help with keeping an eye on others controlling Midoriya's body. Star was glad to have some sort of backup in case she needed a bathroom break. Then they had to avoid questions from Shield, who was getting worried about the green head. Cathy reassured her that everything is fine and she had nothing to worry about. Now it was the time to unleash the Devil.

Bate and Hagakure went to Midoriya's room. Izuku had to explain how exactly King Crimson works so they would be prepared in case something goes wrong. The heroine reluctantly applied New Order to let Diavolo control the body. The boy's face twitched once again, his pupils disappeared and got replaced with smaller and brighter ones, and his whole body bulked up and got a bit taller. He looked at his hands in slight disbelief. It was… peace. After being stuck in a death loop for God knows how long, he was back to being normal. Diavolo told the girls to leave the room at once. Star warned that she will cancel the rule if he tries to use his ability, but all he cared about was getting everyone away from him. He locked the door, closed the curtains, turned off all lights and tucked into the bed. All he wanted right now is to exist. Exist in peace and quiet, with no danger looming around corners.

Tooru and Cathleen were taken aback. They expected to tail Diavolo around for hours, but not this. Was he really going to lock himself in Izuku's room for the whole day? Star didn't even get his story. At first she considered going somewhere else, but then realized that Devil could change his mind at any moment. So instead Hagakure brought some board games they could play to kill time and tell people not to disturb Midoriya. First was Katsuki, who was really annoyed at Deku being lazy for the second day in a row. He was about to force the door open but was told to not be loud by Tenya. Next were Himiko and Mina, eager to show off their dance moves. Tooru had to tell them Izuku is grumpy, which made them worried. They decided to join the board game until Midoriya would finally let people in. Kendou was the next to arrive, and she was quite flabbergasted by this random meeting in a corridor. If not for promise to help Shiozaki with homework, she definitely would have stayed with them.

It appears a lot of people needed something from Izuku today. Dark Shadow wanted to play with one of its brethren. Shoto was about to invite his friend for a work study with Endeavor. Ochako was simply worried that Deku got sick etc. It escalated to the point where even Inko came to see what's going on, at which point Star had no choice but to cancel the rule so that real Izuku can go outside and calm people down. Midoriya said he wasn't ill or mad at someone or unconscious, he simply wanted to have some alone time. This explanation was satisfying for most, although his mother could tell something was off and quietly asked him to explain things later. The rule was reapplied shortly after.

Before leaving, Cathleen wanted to ask about Diavolo's history. Kira was honestly quite bland compared to serial killers she heard about in the past, so maybe this one could be more interesting. Since the Devil himself was not talkative, she had to listen to Izuku's second hand explanation.

"So this man already had a history of sharing a body with a different person?" Cathleen asked despite knowing the answer. "I feel bad for that Doppio guy. Something tells me he would have been a decent person if not for the Devil on his shoulder. I'm surprised you didn't become his Yes-man too, Izuku."

"I think it's mostly because Diavolo was too traumatized by all the deaths to do anything anymore." Memories sent shivers down Izuku's spine. "He might have been a terrible villain, but I don't think he deserved such cruel treatment. That Giorno person must not have been much better. I can understand wanting to get rid of the boss to take over, but that infinite number of deaths was overkill."

"Yes." Diavolo agreed.

"Still not as terrible as being stuck in space. At least you managed to stay awake." Kars disagreed.

"You wouldn't have said it if it was your predicament." Kira noted.

"Perhaps God thought he had suffered enough and locked him up in place of relative safety." Star snickered. "I wonder what kind of person Giorno turned out to be?"

"Probably the same two-bit gangster as the man he killed." Midoriya shrugged. "His stand would have been interesting to dissect and analyze though. Diavolo never got a chance to find its weaknesses, but I feel like he must have had them."

"Hey, maybe you could write Diavolo's story as a thriller book? And then perhaps make a comedic spin off about the death cycle?"

DIO, Kars and Kira laughed at this suggestion.

"It's not funny, ok? Diavolo was a real person, not some manga character to be made fun of." The boy shook his head. "But I see merit in the thriller book idea."

"Just make sure you don't spoil your power by accident." The heroine showed her wide smile. "My vacation ends soon. Am I going to see the weird bird person?"

"You mean Kars? No. We don't quite trust each other. Plus, I feel like he has the biggest chance of going out of control if you let him loose."

"Hey!" DIO and Diavolo said almost in unison.

"Uncle DIO is a vampire, so he'll probably either lock himself or sleep during daytime. Best to let him out after sunset. He'll also probably try to prank you with time stop."

"I always appreciate a good prank."

"Also, a good friend of mine will come tomorrow and try talking sense to real Himiko. No, wait!" Izuku stopped for a second. "It's not that the other one isn't real, it's just…"

"Look, I get it. You want to help the original, physically and mentally."

"Yes, that."

Cathleen said goodbye and left until the next day.

After completing extensive studying sessions to catch up with current education, Himiko Kayama was taken to Hound Dog's office. There she also saw her new mom Nemuri, Kinuyo Kisen and that weird foreign lady. Star made a rule to render herself super-tough and another one to let the original person out. They decided to not tie her up in hopes of gaining trust.

Himiko Toga was once again in control of her body, but not of her life. There were three heroes (no way that brain scrambler isn't a Pro) in the same room. She knew she had next to zero chance of escaping. At this point, she was tired of living in the cage, and running away or attacking would likely send her there. For now, all she could do was talk.

"Hello, Himiko." Ryo said as kindly as possible.

"Hi." She responded dryly after sitting down on a chair.

"We wish to help you." Kinuyo took her pen and paper. "Help you reintegrate."

"Help me wear the mask, you mean." The girl hissed. "Never! I want to live freely, not the way other people tell me to."

"Himiko, one person's freedom ends where another person's freedom begins." Midnight spoke softly to the girl.

"Shut up, you are not much better than old parents! You want her, I mean, ME to put the mask and pretend to be normal again. I'm not normal and I'm not ashamed of it."

"Let me ask this: How would you feel if someone else killed you due to their feelings?" Kisen said.

"That wouldn't be cute. I want to show my love and affection for people I care about!"

"But you would hurt them. Don't you understand that?"

"Who cares? I would love them; I would become them!"

"Oh, dear." Ryu thought. "This is not going to be easy."

"Himiko, we'd like to hear about your past from your perspective."

Toga told them about her parents, how she was forced to wear the mask and eventually discarded it.

"People don't care about freaks like me. The only reason that masked bitch is accepted is because she acts exactly like my society wants!"

"Your parents were bad people, but that didn't mean you had a right to do bad things yourself." Nemuri said.

"Easy for you to say, 'mother'. You want a puppet to dance to your tunes, and I will not be anyone's puppet! I'll be free, you will see."

After a few more hours of fruitless talking, the session was over. Himiko Toga looked at Cathleen with contempt as she was replaced with Himiko Kayama once again. Kisen and Inui asked Bate if she could stay for longer and help them, but she was needed back home. If there was a permanent solution to Himiko's problem, it would have to come from another source.

Hours later, Star arrived to Izuku's room to let DIO free. She brought a UV blaster from support department with her in case the vampire got out of hand. The window was covered extensively.

"What's Dio's last name? Or does he not have one like the last guy?"

"He says it used to be Brando, but he rejected it alongside his humanity. Also, his name is written is all caps, if that is important for your quirk."

"Yeah, that totally make sense." The blonde grabbed Midoriya's arm and whispered. "Izuku Midoriya will let DIO control his body."

Another transformation, this time from human to vampire. DIO smirked and sat down on a chair.

"How much time do I have?"

"One or two hours. Then I'll say goodbye to everyone and go to the airport."

"What a pity. I was hoping for a more… thorough experience." DIO sighed.

"Can you tell me about yourself?"

"Of course."

The vampire told Star about his life with Jonathan, his inner ramblings at the bottom of the ocean, the Heaven plan and his fight against Stardust Crusaders.

"You call that Heaven?" Bate was disgusted. "Being stuck on a predetermined path for life is Hell on Earth. Who would want to live like that?"

"Anyone who saw the bigger picture. My dear friend Enrico was tasked with carrying out this plan in case I were to die to Joestars. He was a clever man, with stand similar to that All For One person. It's a shame Kira and Diavolo died before the plan was set in motion, while Kars lost consciousness. Their confirmation of Pucci's success would have eased my soul."

"I hope Jotaro or somebody else stopped that maniac. I can't fathom living in a world where everything is known decades in advance. No amount of inner peace worth losing your freedom!"

"Tell me, do you believe in gravity?"

"What kind of question is that?" Cathleen raised an eyebrow. "I can see gravity with my own eyes when stuff falls."

"Exactly. Gravity doesn't care if you believe in it or not, it just works. Same with fate. You may not be able to detect it, but it absolutely exists. Fortune tellers like Sir Nighteye or Diavolo know it better than anyone."

"The same Diavolo who escapes fate whenever he feels like it? HA! If that lowly coward can bend fate, then I sure as hell can do it too!" Star picked up a pen and made it float in midair with a rule. "There. This pen is now beyond gravity and fate."

"You are naïve, miss Bate." The vampire responded calmly. "Your belief in freedom will one day be your undoing."

"And you are an overconfident buffoon, DIO. Your suave may work on stupid or traumatized folks, but I'm neither. I have met my fair share of celebrities and cult leaders." The woman giggled. "I won't be surprised if Pucci ended up erasing himself from the universe when trying this 'Heaven' gimmick."

"Leave him out of this!" The World briefly appeared in front of Star, which caused her to cancel the rule on the pen and make herself strong. "I may be lenient when it comes to personal insults, but my closest friend is off limits. Just now, I could have killed you."

"And… and locked yourself back for good. My rule would have vanished if I died."

"Given my predicament, I wouldn't have lost all that much."

"Not cool." Izuku said internally. "Not cool at all."

"Look at that." Cathleen took a glance at her phone. "Your time is almost over."

"Before you leave, there is one more thing I'd like to do."

DIO in Midoriya's body went to Tooru, Himiko, Mina and Itsuka, taking a sip of blood from each. Kayama's tasted the best, so he recommended Izuku to turn her into an actual vampire sometime in the future. Izuku said he didn't want to screw her over any more than he already did.

Cathleen Bate said goodbye to everyone in UA who knew her and went back to States. This was a very strange experience, but she was glad it wasn't as bad as she expected. Being able to stay a hero with a villainous head must have been difficult for Izuku, so her earned her respect.

Keep in mind that Izuku only knows about Giorno from Diavolo's perspective.

Sorry if Toga's section sucks, I'm not good at psychological stuff. I just feel like Toga would actively repel attempts to help her at such late stage.

One of the reasons I made the section with Star letting villains out is because I wanted to show DIO's philosophical side a little bit. Without the Joestars, he can be a very pleasant person to be around.
