Prologue

Toys. All around the world, children play with toys. But, where do the best toys come from? Most people would say that they're made at Playtime Co. In the toy factory, people could go on a tour, or play games. They would also say that the toys were alive. Well, as it turns out they actually were. But how can the toys be alive?
Under the toy factory, there is a place called: "Playcare." Playtime Co. says it's a place that kids can live at, but it's more than that. Whilst the kids were playing, scientists were studying them. One of them was a man called Eric Tyrann. Whilst working at Playcare, he bonded with a eight year old girl called Alex. He was even thinking about adopting her, but things didn't exactly go to plan.
The scientists would pick a random child, experiment on them and then they get turned into a toy. But it wasn't just the kids, some employees would also become toys. One day, Alex got chosen to be experimented on. Eric found out and he was furious. He tried to save Alex, but instead the company fired him and threw him out.
One night, Eric snuck into Playtime Co. to find and rescue Alex. He got into a lab, but he was too late. The scientists had turned Alex into a small toy called Dog Day. She still had her memories and was very happy to see Eric again. He then grabbed Alex and snuck back out. Even though she was a toy, Eric still cared for Alex. At his home, he treated her like she was his own daughter.
After a week, Eric turned on a TV and there was a news report. Earlier that day, everyone inside of Playtime Co. had disappeared. The police were searching inside, but they couldn't find anything. Shortly afterwards, the toy factory was closed down. Even though they were worrying about the people that were inside, Eric and Alex were glad the factory was closed for good.
Ten years later.
It was a sunny morning, Eric was making some breakfast and Alex was sitting at the table. Over the years, she had gotten older and bigger. She was now only a foot taller than Eric. She was wearing a blue dress. She has never left the house, because if people saw her then they would freak out. After eating breakfast, there was a package that came in the post.
The envelope said it was from Playtime Co. Eric slowly opened it up and pulled out a VHS tape. He placed it in a tape player and played it. The tape was a old commercial for a toy doll called Poppy Playtime. After watching it, Eric found a letter inside the envelope. The letter said: "Everyone thinks the staff disappeared 10 years ago. We're still here. Find the flower." There was also a drawing of a poppy on the letter.
"Dad? Are you ok?" says Alex. Eric turns to Alex and sighs before saying: "Well, it appears we have to go back to the factory."
